Description
Privilege
Amazing tapas freshly made, very fast and friendly service, a terrific bottle of wine. Pleasant interior and atmosphere.
MoreJust finished dinner at this wonderful establishment and it was fantasticOur servers name was Linda (I believeand she was extremely helpful. She helped us select several tasty tapas and recommend that a paella for three would feed the four of us.The Paella Marisco was the main event and it did not disappoint. I’ve been making my own for years and thought it was excellent. The desserts were a treat also.A great find I highly recommend if you love Paella.
MoreThis place, this food, these people are AMAZING! The service is excellent and so welcoming. Rita is lovely and as we promised her... we will be back!
MoreWe found this on TripAdvisor and we had Very pleasant experienceThe waiter is very polite and professional. The food here is very good. Although we wait for 40 minutes for the rice, it’s good and worth the time waiting. It’s walkable for the train station. So you can keep you luggage at the train station
Morefantastic deco, service and most importantly, food. great spanish paellas, tapas and mexican fajitas
MoreLarge choice of dishes, best paella ever! Friendly staff - thank you Elisabeta! Will be back soon.
MoreI went to Bolero with 5 friends and we all had a great experience! From the start Bolero staff was understanding and accommodating (we had to modify our reservation couple of times). Once there, we ordered the tapas experience -2 courses (with cold and warm tapasand couldnt have chosen better! Not only was delicious, also plenty of food! Hugo (i believe the floor manager that nightand our waitress Rita, whos been working at that restaurant for 22 years (!!, were fantastic and made us all feel so welcomed! I would absolutely recommend Bolero :)
MoreWe went there on a Friday night in July when we took a trip to Switzerland. We were glad that we made a reservation in advance. The food there was very delicious, especially tapas. Its also good that we could create our own paella to avoid the ingredients that we did not eat. The waiter, Ale, was friendly and provided great service.
MoreWe had a great meal at Bolero! My husband was skeptical of eating in a hotel restaurant while on our vacation but this ended up being one of our favorite meals. Great food and wine, would recommend. I’d get a reservation to be safe, it was packed when we were there.
MoreReally great tapas place. The mussels and the bacon wrapped dates were our favorites, but everything was amazing.
MoreFantastic food! Amazing service! My favorite restaurant in Luzern, don’t miss it!
MoreFantastic meal at Bolero!!!We loved everything we ate, and our waitress was very nice too!!
MoreService was excellent. Food was good and interesting taste. For Spanish food in Switzerland definitely a good authentic version of it. Good portion size. Definitely did not leave hungry with appetizers and main course. They use good olive oil and olives. It just not easy to park nearby it :D
MoreGood food and service. Expect to pay a lot due to Swiss price levels. We visited Bolero for a stop over in Luzern, as we stayed in Cascada hotel. We chose the restaurant for having a simple pasta for our daughter. The restaurant was nearly empty, no need to reserve. The decor and service are excellent. We had unlimited fajitas (typically Spanish... no), which were nice. Salsa a bit too sweet, bit overall good quality. Good sangria and gin tonic.Would go again? No, I would prefer typical Swiss food.PS The menu (tabletis cumbersome and does not allow for quick and easy choosing.
MoreThe service is friendly. Daymenu tapas is disappointing. Duck is ok. The shrimp is very good.
MoreIf you go anywhere in Luzern, this is the place to go! The food was AMAZING, the staff was so friendly, and the atmosphere was inviting. Javier was very helpful with the menu and made some great recommendations. We definitely over-ordered, but with such a delicious looking menu how could we not? So grateful Javier didnt shame us for leaving food on our plates like we have experienced in other places - we wish we could have eaten more of the that phenomenal meal.Of note, the chorizo croquettas and carne paella were some of the best we ever had. We will be back during our next time in Luzern!
MoreAmazing atmosphere, delicious food - best paella I have ever had, the staff is very friendly and attentive (Thomas was so helpful). Definitely recommend!
MoreOK, first, I dont like Switzerland (!the endless stretch of 80, 100km roads, the highway vignet, the weird money and sometimes to sterile surroundings.Looked for restaurant in Luzern, this one caught my eye, couldnt get a table through the website, just went there. After a 10 minute walk, we arrived, unfortunately there wasnt a table available, staff even gave suggestions were to eat, but finally they caved in and made some extra time and space for us, many kudos here. So, they are not cheap, but great food, ambiance and very helpful staff costs, so enjoy everything, you wont be disappointed, highly recommended! Also it was my birthday, my wife had told them that, when desert was served, the lights dimmed, and I was surprised with a extra dessert, everybody started singing, it was very special. Thanks for all of your effort!
MoreFood was okay. I had the pulpo but it was over boiled. Also wasn’t grilled so it lacked flavor. Service was very good
MoreBusiness trip. Walking around looking for a decent restaurant. Came across this one. Was busy, but they found space for us. Amazing menu, great service and the food was just excellent. I highly recommend. Thisll be one restaurant Ill return to when I revisit Lucerne.
MoreGreat place nice stuff, very kind and helpful. Also food was nice just can’t say it was so good that I would want to go one more time back.
MoreNot really Spanish but I personally don’t find the food to be tasty either. Came here with 6-7 other people and had the tasting menu. I would say the only thing I liked was the dates wrapped in bacon dish. As someone who loves octopus, the pulpo dish was bland and rather disappointing. Service was great and so was ambience and decor but the food didn’t do it for me.
MoreThe staff are very friendly and helpful. The service is very fast. The food is delicious. Cozy ambiance & Lovely vibe!
MoreThe food is tasty, however the service is a complete chaos. It took over 30 mins for us to just get drinks. They are unfortunately under staffed, the waiters and waitresses have to make drinks as well as serve the tables. Our waiter, Terry, was super apologetic though and did the best he could in the circumstances- Thank you Terry!
More*Make sure you make a reservation or itll be hard to find seating!!* This place get busy quick. The foods and services were superb. We ordered tapas and they were delicious. The bacon wrap dates are a mixture of sweet and salty with a lot of flavors, the potatoes matched well with the sauces, the mushrooms meddling just dance in your mouth, the beefs are tender and savory, and the mule is excellent.
MoreWe spent 2 nights in Lucerne and both nights we ate at Bolero because the food was delicious and the service was amazing.Definitely excellent quality ingredients and everything we ordered was just very tasty and on point. The service is outstanding, and one of the managers, Hugo, it is easy to see that he loves what he does and he is genuinely nice to costumers.Eating at Bolero is a must if visiting Lucerne.
MoreVery nice staff but authentic Spanish dishes are found elsewhere. The food was OK to good but if you claim that Paella is your specialty the total lack of socarrat loses you two stars. Good for tourists with no knowledge of Spanish cuisine.
MoreWonderfull food with amazing service. The place is very stylish with a good price. No suitable to have kids running around but a perfect place to have a nice food. Enjoy the sangrias and pulpo a la gallega. The tiramisu is also part of the heaven, if you believe or not on it.
MoreThe workers were very attentive and kind, excellent service.Recommended croquetas de chorizo and gazpacho (which was exactly as spanish one).Paella marisco is good but not as good as spanish one.
MoreGood food, good service, mediocre atmosphere.Ordered a delicious tomato soup and got a good beef filet with foie gras.Waiter was nice and competent, adviced me to a wine that was better than what I originally was going to pick. Sat at high chairs and close to other guests in a setting that doesnt quite match the fine dining that the food would suggest. Also: the menu was on a tablet. I think physical menu cards are preferable in all cases, especially at good restaurants. We look at screens all day, lets make restaurants a screen-free zone.All-in all: worth a visit but if atmosphere is very important, you can find better places in Luzern.
Moregreat place. This is the 2nd time in 2 months we visited Bolero and both times we loved it. Food is great, ambiance is great and the wait staff are super friendly. Great place for b-day celebrations!
MoreVery nice typical Spanish food. Ambiance is nice. Staff was nice and efficient. There seemed to be a lot of Spanish people around us, which is always a good sign too. Beware that paellas take 40 minutes to prepare (they will warn you, but just in case you decide to go there for the paellas but dont have much time).
MoreAfter reading the reviews posted by others, we had high hopes for our experience at Bolero. Unfortunately, everything fell short of the mark. The paella was average, but considering we waited 40 minutes for it + its price point (44 CHF for 1 portion), we regret ordering this. The grilled octopus was also not well-seasoned - absolutely tasteless. Service was slow, we spent 15 min trying to get the wait staff’s attention for the check. We are on holiday and have no issues spending on good meals, but sadly this was not one of those.
MoreAMAZING! Paella is great with lots of toppings because we ordered the Special, downside is we had to wait for 40 minutes. The dates wrapped with bacon is veeery nice for appetizer.Superb service, we came in at 1:25pm and they are closing at 2pm, yet they decided they can serve us the 40 minutes paella after all, thank you so much! Was craving paella, and definitely craving stastied! Sorry we disturbed your break 🥲
MoreThe tapa is great along with the white wine and red wine perfectly matched. The paella is also delicious.Especially Andrei who is nice and have us well-served.Recommend to everyone travels to Luzern.
MoreAmazing food and friendly staff. This is our second time in Bolero and I can confirm that it is a marvelous dinner experience from the beginning to the end. Elisabete took our orders and made sure we felt at home; Fernando and Rita were also great checking in with us. Thank you for everything!
MoreThe dishes were delicious. I loved the foie gras very much.
We went there with a party of 6 and had a wonderful evening in a nice ambience. There was music, but not too loud so we could easily talk. The staff was friendly and attentive. And, most important, the food was outstanding. We had various starters, paella in different variations, fajitas, fish, and at the end a dessert. Every single course was delicious. I will definitely go there again.
MoreA very good food and a great stuff!
A good place to go with friends. Food is good and drinks too
Heavenly grilled steak, perfectly softened chicken with chorizo filling. The waiter was very friendly and helpful, and oh, the menu was on iPad! Even though the restaurant is only 7 minutes away from the railway station, its fairly quiet in here — no complaints at all. Cheers!
MoreFirst of all, excellent service. The food is good (not great), considering this is not a cheap place even by Swiss standards. I found my lamb less tender than I would like. The chair/table heights could be more ergonomic, my back was sore by the end. Why is the menu digital but you still must order separately?
MoreGreat food, great drinks and amazing staff
Hi Everyone♡👋 I had a great evening Today in Cascada Bolero. My elder sister works there as a cook. So she gave me a gift 🎁 cause i have completed my Diploma successfully with good marks. It was 👏, i was so happy there. The Team is so friendly just like a Family. I have enjoyed every single moment. The Food (Gambas, Nachos, Mixed 🥗 etc. was too delicious 😋 I loved it. The gyros with the Cappuccino was lovely🤗❤.I am feeling great.🥳❤I recommend it to all of to go once there there with Your Friend or Family and just relax and enjoy the environment.Thank you so much💓
MoreReasonably priced and tasty Spanish food. Waiters were very friendly and very helpful. There were two of us and we ordered two croquettes each, the mushroom tapas, the beef tapas and one serve of the paella - it was so filling that we didnt have room for dessert! We were also given some pre-dinner snacks before the tapas was served.
MoreTasty food, nice staff, reasonable price!! Especially love their Sangria appetiser box! Lovely and Cute! Highly recommend!
MorePretty environment, i-pad menu is really clear, reasonable price with good flavor good service.Cozy atmosphere. Recommended at Luzern.
MoreFabulous! I havent had a ton of Spanish food, but this one was definitely one of the best! We reached right before closing time, so didnt have time for paella, as it takes 40 mins to prepare. We wanted to order a bunch of tapas and side dishes, but the restaurant wouldnt serve it without ordering a main course. So we ended up ordering a veg soup as well. Soup was excellent, croquettes were fantastic and the wild rice was sublime! I wanted to deduct a star for the restaurant policy of mandatory order of main course to order any of the sides, but couldnt give it less than 5 after having the food. Very highly recommended!
MoreGreat variety of food.. Loved the ambience too.. Staffs were very good.. One thing that I liked is that they will show the live plating of food that you ordered.. Unique!Cons - We found a glass piece in one of our dishes and as we informed them they were really apologetic and informed the chef also about that.
MoreThis place looks nice, stylish and has a warm feel to it. The staff is nice and they have friendly smiles. Ive ordered the paella that was decently priced (33Chf). Everything was cooked nicely, chicken tender, vegetables crispy, the negative thing I could say was that the rice on the side of the plate was overcooked. Overall, it was a nice meal, with a decent time of waiting for the food. (Tip: if you stay in the Cascade hotel, you get a 20% discount!)
