Bojo Beach - Tourist attraction in Apam, Ghana
Beautiful place to be. There is always room for improvement
Good experience, was not over populated, cleaner than some other beaches. Music is on point, but the bar needs to improve on their mocktails.Waves are strong, you need to be very confident swimmer.Love the boat ride to get to the area of the beach, just feels so private and secluded.Would definitely recommend this beach if visiting Ghana.
Very nice part of the beach … it’s clean and nice place to relax
I enjoy this place. It was a lot of debris on the beach. I was shocked at this... the bar area was clean and fun.
Well equipped beach, with a nice restaurant that offers local food. Crossing the river by the boat is a different and memorable experience.
I dont know if its because it was a weekday but it was boring no music, everything is expensive too.Location is like a hide out if you drive you have no problem but I enjoyed the Sea
This place is slowly dying. You pay GHC25 to get in and boat skippers begging for tips. Everything her is pricy. Rubbish is starting build up at the sea front and local fishermen selling fish at the beach.
Generally calm beach compared to other busy beaches in Accra. Food quite expensive. Entrance fee was GHC 25 for adults. About GHC 20 for children and free for kids. You get to cross over a river by boat from the resort entrance to the beach shore.
Poor Service and hygiene and service post covid. I first visited here in 2013 and was excited to show my family with young children this nearly 10 years later and was extremely disappointed. It doesn’t look like the place has changed since then for the worst. As in there hasn’t been any upkeep, refurbishment or even improvements in the last decade, post covid. The most enjoyable part was probably the boat ride to the beach and back.No fault of their own the beach is scattered with litter. Very picturesque in most parts the children enjoyed playing with the waves and building sandcastles however when hunger did strike that’s when the real issues arose. The pina colada that was ordered, came back warm and as it is made with cream it started to go green, so noone touched that. About 70% of the food on the menu was unavailable and considering we’re not allowed to bring any of our own food unto this beach this was more than frustrating. We had to wait nearly an hour for the food as something broke in the kitchen so they had to make it and deliver it to the beach. At that point we were fed up and ready to go home and asked for the food that was ready to be given to us by takeaway. As well as that the female toilets were not available only the dirty urinals and the male toilets were unclean, had no functioning water to flush abs there was no access anywhere to wash your hands unless you went back to the other side on the hotel. Someone did acknowledge the poor service and apologised. It’s also worth mentioning that we visited on a Monday, which was the excuse that we were given when things went wrong as the weekend is their busiest period. As someone who is lying as much as another person who would pay on the weekend I expect to get the same service. The two stars are for the moment the children enjoyed playing with the waves and the fact that poor service was acknowledged and taken on board
Love the beach was a little scared crossing over in the boat" but other than that nice relaxing peaceful. Enjoyed the scenery the fresh air and the atmosphere.
Wow place to go.But the food service is really bad. They cant handle the rush of people.Someone needs to tell them that the place is wonderful but just dont take customer for granted. They dont allow eatables from outside, charges 25 cedis to enter and go to beach and you will wait for 2 hours before someone will attend you.
I have been taking guests to Bojo Beach for about 7 years because it is the cleanest beach in the area, but my consistent disappointment has been the service. I can see that management is trying to improve the service but more supervision may be needed. Attention has to be paid to the menu when you order to see the correct prices, also attention to the items on your bill and the amount of change you are given when you purchase food and drinks. Food is tasty and good variety.
Its an exciting place. Good security. Good parking space. Large expanse of land, and of course, the ocean. If you want to have a quiet time all by yourself or with some friends, then, be there early in the day because from 4pm, 5pm, the night crowds begin to arrive. However, you are not allowed to go into the space with your own refreshments. You must buy all you want to eat and drink from the approved sellers there.
Awesome Beach with Cool service by the boys for chair and umbrella setups..I love this beach a lot and want to visit this location again and again with my family and friends. So my suggestion is it would be great to visit with family and friends..
Love Bojo beach, nice and clean with life guards (might not see them but they are all watching you and keeping you safeSunday is a great day to enjoy the vibes with everyone.
They dont have a wash room on thos Beach, the makeshift structure for convenience is a real daylight nightmare. That is why I cant give the beach a 4 star rating.
Bojo beach is still my favourite place to enjoy the sea wavesThe boat ride is still pleasantYou feel like you are conquering an island , I am kiddingWith an entrance of 20 cedis ,I think , the place worthes it
I spent 9 amazing days at Bojo Beach Hotel. The grounds are breathtakingly beautiful. The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff with the exception of one person were very accommodating and pleasant. Most went beyond the call of duty to make our stay enjoyable. The Chef is world class. We are vegan. He put together a mouth watering scrumptious meal just for us every day and we were never disappointed. I wish I could clone him and take him to the US with me. I only gave 4 stars because of an issue I had with hot water that they never resolved and I had to change rooms. Once settled in I dont like packing up until its time to be depart. Would I return to Bojo Beach Hotel? Absolutely yes. Im searching for airline tickets to make my return trip in March 2022
I love how private the beach is, have to get into a canoe from the hotel to the beach. My first time getting into a canoe and I enjoyed it. Clean, entertainment around and activities to do. Best place to enjoy nature.
Fantastic beach only criticism is how much waste washed up on the beach and how it was dealt with - stop burying the waste in 2inch of sand on the beach by the water line
Service, experience and staff are not the best. I expected much better from BoJo Beach. There is no freedom on when you want to come or go. You have to wait on either a canoe during the week or a boat on the weekends... I think they should build a bridge that will give customers the choice of either waiting until the canoe captain is ready to come pick you up or you can just walk across on the bridge at your leisure.
Feels more like a private beach than the usual beaches which I like. Very relaxed and unique. Gate fee is 20 cedis. Once you bypass the gate... a boat will take you to the beach FOC. This is my second time at this beach as I was here 4 years ago. 3 stars because the foods are substandard and pretty expensive. Also, its high time they renovate the rest rooms. The structure can be a bit modern too.
This was my first visit to any beach at all. I arrived pretty early. Before 9am. The place was pretty empty until around 11am when people started coming. It wasnt a holiday so I expected that. The entry fee was 20ghc. Found the food pretty expensive.Aside from that everything was great and I really had fun. Had the opportunity to help the local folks pull the net from the sea and scout for fish.Crabs all around in the ground and waves to help cool your feet. Was a totally great experience. Looking to visit soon
Neat and relaxing place to be with friends and family. You pay 20 Gh for entrance fees and a boat ride to the beach . The foods there are delicious but pricey.its a nice place to visit .
The resort is great but the service on the beach is lame
A serene atmosphere to go relax with family and loved onea
This beach was absolutely breath taking. With plenty of parking you pay a small fee and hop on a boat to take you to the beach. A nice strong gentlemen mans the boat manually.Once you are delivered to the beach, theres beautiful sand and beaches for a great distance. You also have views of the mountain and nice lush greenery in one direction. The restaurant serves alcohol and amazing food with great service at reasonable prices.Theyre plenty of tables, umbrellas, for shade and relaxation. This beach is a definite must on your list when visiting Ghana.
Beautiful locationBut useless facilitiesThey charge around 20 cedi at the enteranceAnd we need to walk towards the riverWait for a boatAnd get on a 5 mins boat ride cross the riverAnd get to the beachWhich is so gorgeousBut no proper toilets or changing area
Was there on a Thursday evening and the place was quiet and relaxing..
This is easily the best beach Ive been to so far in Ghana. This place is just amazing and its one of those places where youd have to visit yourself in order to experience how awesome the place really is. Its very clean, the water feels amazing, the food is great, the boat rides are awesome, you just cant go wrong with this place. Did I mention the sunsets? This beach gives you the most memorable of sunsets you can find anywhere. I could go on and on about how much I enjoyed myself here. Honestly youd have to visit cause theres no regretting that decision❤️
One of the best best beach in Ghana. Very near to Accra city, just 30 to 40 minutes drive. Clean, white sand beach is actually a dream come true. Well maintained and peacful. Cheers to Bojo beach resort team.
Clean environment, very comfortable bojo beach is the best in my opinion
A clean serene beach with an added touch of live traditional Ghanaian music and dance!
Bojo is the best. Are you on a date, a family trip or you just need a piece and quiet? Try bojo beach and you wont be let down. They operate every single day. Gate fee is a cool 20GHS per person.
A beautiful and clean sandy beach. The atmosphere and natural beauty at Bojo is just awesome. Water is clean enough to dive into. A small boat takes you to the beach across the pond which adds to the experience. Apart from that there are no rides available so, just enjoy swimming, relaxing and walking on sand :-P. On weekend we were charged GHC 20 and Im not sure about entry fee on weekdays. Be aware of the fishermen, we were warned by the locals from approaching them that they may attack and snatch your valuables.
This place is awesome. festivals will make you wait for may be 1 hour to get into the beach since you need to cross small lagoon with boat ,provided by resort.
Its a good place to relax. Gate fee was rather on the high side. 25GHC. But we had fun
Nice place, the boat ride though scary but worth it.
By far, the cleanest beach Ive been at in Accra. Its such a cool place.Note: There a gate fee: GHS 20 for adults and GHS 5 for kids
Its a really nice place. Clean beach, serene environment and its not overcrowded. And you get to enjoy a short boat ride on your way in.You are not allowed to come along with food though.
This is a nice and popular beach for all. It is well managed. Food is a little bit on the high side.
I love 😍 this Beach.Bojo Beach is an admirable, appealing, beauteous, enticing, excellent, exquisite, fascinating, fetching, ideal, inviting, lovely, nice, pleasing, cleanest and pulchritudinous Beach ever visited. 😄😍😘
Let me start off by saying if I could give the resort zero stars I would. I recently visited the resort with my wife and some friends. We were optimistic at the beginning of the visit as my wife had attended the resort a few years back but the only enjoyable part of the experience was the boat ride across to the main beach area. The cost for entry was 25GHC per person and no food or drink was allowed to be brought to the resort. After arriving at the main beach and being approached by the waitress we informed that more than half the food and drinks menu was unavailable. This included simple items such as sprite and fanta. Other items not available were alvaro and Smirnoff ice (which is my wifes favourite so she was not impressed). As for meat, fish seemed to be the only thing available and even then the tilapia was limited. Now I would not be so upset if the resort had not insisted we cannot bring any food or drink ourself but they also didnt have basic items from the menu so this combined with the quality of the food which was below average made it infuriating that we were required to pay such a price and receive such poor service. And on top of everything their washroom and urinals were very dirty and stinky it smelled like it hadnt been cleaned for months. The beach itself was not the cleanest either it had a lot of rubbish scattered across it. The resort has the potential to be a good tourist spot and be a 5* resort if there is better management
So nice and clean cant wait to come back just wished they had better food but besides that, I and my family had a great time
This is really a beach, out of the ones I have been to, bojo beach is the best amongst them. If you want to have fun, cool down and relax with your friends and loved ones this is the place for you. Its just up to standard. There are life guards just incase you dont know how to swim. No one will disturb you like the rest of the beaches. Theres a volleyball court, table tennis, obstacle course, horse riding theres an engine boat ride to the other side of the beach and lots of other fun games to play, alone or with friends. I highly recommend it. Because I dont regret a single moment I spent there. It was money well spent.
Beach is too good, clean and well maintained but no changing rooms as such. Entry fee is 20 cedi and you cant bring your own food.
I spent a day there with family and friends. The experience to take a canoe to cross to the beach was interesting. When we got there, around 10h30, fishermen were pulling out their nets and we did not know where to go to swim. Staff was not very helpful to guide us. We moved our stuff further away. There were places to sit in the shade (with plastic chairs provided on sitebut very few tables. And I wish the installations were closer to the swimming area. I also wish that the fishermen would not leave their garbage behind when they leave the beach, as it ends up covered with algues and other unpleasant things. Food was OK. There were real toilets that were hard to flush but nowhere to wash our hands. This place definitely has potential but it remains limited for now. Still, it is one of the best beaches near Accra (although I prefer Kokrobite).
Get away from busy Accra to this serene and neat beach...you get a great sense of being on a holiday and having quiet time, particularly with the short ride on a small powered canoe across a natural lake to the beach side. Quite a drive from town (Accrathough but sure worth it! I really love it!
Good clean beach near Accra but the food was bad. If you get there early you can see the local fisherman.
Has 1 of the most exclusive (and very neat beach.Gate fee 15ghc. foods not allowed (have to buy it there). it is awesome.
