Boiling Springs Ale House in Spartanburg

This place provides awesome service as well as enjoyable food. One of the best restaurant around here. The food and drinks served rapidly and the rates are fair. Recommended.

Just walked out.. Walked in Im assuming the owner was the one standing there when we walked in. Watched us sit down, 10 mins pass no service no nothing. Owner comes out leans against the bar and still nothing. So we get up and leave. First time here and the last. If I could give it 0 stars I would.

Service was bad food was ice cold and not fresh. Steak not cooked ti temp

Steaks were amazing! Service was a little slow for the 3 tables that were sat. Ill go back tho!

My wife and I had dinner here one night and everything was extremely salty. The rolls are just frozen rolls that I noticed were extremely dry when they came out. It is never really busy here but it still somehow takes forever to get your food. Unless you are there for the booze, dont expect to get served right away.

Decent bar food selection. Good beer selection. Sunday ticket and special event broadcasts seen here. Outdoor seating area is a great place to chill.

Good beer selection, beer is also cold. Food is OK. There are a few decent things on the menu. Just a great place to grab a bite and a drink. They also have live music often.

Today was my first time eating at this alr house. I usually hate burgers because they taste fake but honestly this burger has been the most juicy flavourful burger Ive tasted in awhile. My frys were soggy and cold and dark like old grease was used but the cake was amazing thank you for a great meal 😊

Need to hire more staff for busy nights... waited almost an hour and a half to pay my bill, because the solitary waitress "lost" our ticket.. Then, when she took our card, she went straight to the restroom before processing it (took at least 10 minutes for that after she exitedWeve never had any issues like this here before, but the manager did very little to help the poor girl, who was clearly drowning on a Saturday night until it became obvious that customers were becoming distraught. His flippant attitude about the entire trainwreck of a situation and the lack of help has to change for me and my wife to go back again. Extremely disappointing...

The food was good but the service was poor. We were ignored. There was a waitress change in the middle of the meal amd we were forgotten.

The food is great. I only go during the day for lunch occasionally . a girl that usually works there, has terrible customer service. I have not one time ever seen her smile. Nor has she ever even said thank you. But today there was a different lady. Her customer service was absolutely great , really top-notch. I hope she stays around.

Best place in town for wings hands down! Great price and good portions. Only have one favorite bartender 😔 but she definitely makes up for everyone elses slack. Cooks are great and on point with anything you order. Highly recommended to locals or visitors alike.

Love this place, great bartenders and most of the waitstaff is worthy of Wayne and Garths praise. Great selection of craft beers with a nice happy hour. Food is above average, call for times in regards to live entertainment. The crowd is friendly with no problems. Best place to hang in BS.

I would have given this establishment a 5 star review but I felt as though the music during the live bands performance was far too loud. It was impossible to have a conversation with my buddy right next to me, which is something that one looks forward to at a bar. Dont get me wrong the band was great but unnecessarily loud for the venue. If I wanted that kind of experience then I would have went to a concert.

Typical bar food, typical sports bar environment. Nothing to brag about. They need to take the gyro off the menu.

Nice place, great food awesome service. Waitress was so nice. Just got off the road from traveling from Virginia to Alabama & stopped in S.C. on way. When sat down waitress was right there, took our drink order & was back in no time with them. Gave us plenty of time to look over menu & answered all our questions. Great Live music going on when we were there.

Great music a beer! The only reason its not 5 stars is because I feel it was understaffed. It was so packed, it took me forever to get a beer.

Very disappointed. Not disappointed in the waitress but very disappointed in the management. I walked in to our waitress being the only one working and it was her first day, bless, she was trying so hard. Big birthday party and they kept fussing at this new waitress but being her first day and trying to run the whole place was not her fault. There was a bartender, who must have been the only one there, because after 20 minutes of waiting on a drink we just left. This was only my second trip there and the first visit was not so great either. Not sure if Ill ever waste my time to give them a third chance.

Would be better if they would actually open their drive thru window. If you have one, use it. Us moms with sleeping babies would appreciate not having to drag our babies into a loud restaurant, especially when its raining.

Good music, but if you dont get a seat at the bar you might be waiting awhile to get a drink. Friendly place though.

It was Horriable. I placed my name on the waiting list for 2 for a seat and somehow it got erased, and they put me at bottom of the list. The has had numerous problems and should be shut down. Food is marginal at best. Ron Caldwell.

I love to come study here! The staff is friendly, the food is reasonable. The eating and drinking is standard for your local pub.

The service was good, the food was very good,and the prices are right on par . We will be returning and I recommend it to anyone that likes good food in a pleasant atmosphere.

Its a small bar. If you can accept that for what it is, youll enjoy it. The food isnt great. They dont have any unusual drinks. But the atmosphere is fun and the service is awesome.

Good food, good atmosphere, mediocre service. My steak was cooked exactly to medium, the sides were delicious, and everything came out in a reasonable time frame. My only gripe is that the waitress hardly ever checked on us. I admit, getting my food and drink is priority at a restaurant, it took forever for us to get the check. Otherwise, it was great. Really good food at affordable prices.

The bacon cheeseburger was decent, the server didnt ask me how I wanted my burger or what type of cheese I wanted and the atmosphere was way too gloomy and dark.

They wouldnt answer the phone at 12 am then when we went inside the host behind the bar seemed to be the only one working. She was very rude and said their grill was closed so we left.

I have had to wait forever to even get one beer EVERY time I have been in here. I live less than a mile away and I will drive past it to go anywhere else.

My wife and go often. Food is always good. Good selection of beer and ale. Fun atmosphere. Friendly staff that are always accommodating. Even near the juke box we can easily talk. Id recommend you try it!

I agree with you tammy but the young blonde isnt the worst one . Let the hood rat that does bar some time that one is so annoying walking around with her pot belly hanging out being so rude and ghetto . Thats who needs to be trained better or something . With her attitude youd think it was a fat food place not the 5 star place the ale house actually is. Buti i believe in jimmy . In getting this place back on track . But jimmy many people will be back if you just get rid of the negative people at the ale house . Pretty sure its the randa .

January 2016 will bring our second year to an end. We have been blessed to have the customer base we have and we thank you so much.As we close the 2015 year out we have challenged our staff to be the very best moving forward. With new ideas in the kitchen, a great lineup of music and our service stepping up to the plate. I feel like 2016 will be a great year for all of us at the Alehouse. Absolutely horrible place to go. More of beer joint than a restaurant. First thing we get there no one is there to greet us and sit us so we assume its self seat. Waitress takes our order then 20 mins later comes back to say we are out of sirloin and would we like ribeye. We said fine, well 30 minutes later no food no server no nothing. Have to ask the hostess where is our food and blamed it on us ordering steaks. Then claims our waitress had to rush a pregnant girl to the er who was having contractions. No one not even a manager followed up with our table after to check on us ask if there was anything they could do for the inconvenience. I have to say this was the most horrible service I have ever received. Definitely a bar joint and not a restaurant and true management would concern themselves with their paying customers which by the way we were drinking too but would have liked to eaten as well. Everyone will know how horrible your place is!!!
