My wife and I at the Boiling House Seafood and sushi restaurant while in Akron for a few days. We were very impressed. Great food and service. We both had the seafood combos that come in a steaming bag and it was a lot of fun, and tasted great. I had the seaweed salad and really enjoyed it. We will definitely return.

Customer service was great when I picked up my order. I ordered the combo #3 with the 1/2 pd of snow crablegs. Food was ok! It lacked of seasoning. I didn’t like the fact they use popcorn butter🙃 for the side of butter. I should of ordered an extra garlic butter if I known it was going to be that. Other than that food was still hot after I picked it up pretty late.

I get sushi here every Friday and it NEVER disappoints. The staff is so friendly, the restaurant is clean, and the food is always excellent!! Highly recommend.

Best fries lowkey. Shrimp fire and I’ll be back for more of that salmon roll for sure.

Was not worth my drive. They add their own tip on the bill, the amount of food served was not worth the price. Waitress was semi nice, messed up our order then got mad lol.

Food and drinks were amazing! Staff was awesome. I highly recommend the House Juicy sauce. It made our meals flavor over the top. Cant wait to return. Also the prices were very fair.

Food was fantastic! Had the California roll which was very fresh, and the rock shrimp. The breading was light and the shrimp were nice sized. Our wait staff was very attentive.

After long delays missing or meal at founders Day we stumbled upon this place it is the best sushi I have ever had every menu item we tried was excellent service was excellent and ambience

The food was fabulous, our server was super attentive and friendly and the prices are reasonable. Definitely a go to for a great snow crab leg boil, calamari was tempura fried to perfection and the sushi 🍣 was, as it should be, made to order.

I came here the day after I got back from vacation on the Outer Banks because I already missed the fresh seafood. I was not disappointed! I chose the peeled shrimp with the House Juicy sauce, and it came with corn and potatoes all boiled inside a big plastic bag. It was absolutely delicious! The only negative side of this restaurant is the high prices, which makes every visit a well deserved special occasion treat!

Food was OK.. sweet potatoes NO flavor.. boiler bag Cajun flavor spicy was good.. crunchy California roll NO flavor.. kinda expensive for 2 people no drinks but lemonade $100.. but that was gratuity included and last i knew gratuity means tip

Food was absolutely amazing. My fiancé and I got sushi and fried calamari. And it was top notch. Our son is at Akron childrens hospital and we wanted to try son of the places out around here. Highly recommend. Will definitely go back.

Great hidden gem for sushi and boiled seafood. Prices are excellent and the selection of sushi is impressive. The restaurant is clean and service was quick. Sushi was made to order. Overall, highly recommend trying this little hole in the wall!

One of my favorite restaurants in downtown Akron. They have excellent hot & juicy boiled seafood bags. Its absolutely the equal of any other restaurant of this type that I have eaten at. You seem to get the most bang for your buck with the already peeled shrimp. The lobster is good but very very expensive. The sausage you can get in the boil bags is okay but is nothing special. Still, A+++++

Early Saturday evening, got a table immediately and prompt friendly service. We had the shrimp po boy, and lots of sushi! All delicious! I think they added 10% gratuity for dine in though, which we didnt realize until we were walking out.

I was a little concerned due to some of the other reviews but boy were they wrong. The food was perfect! The shrimp, the snow crab and the clams were fantastic. The lemon pepper sauce could use a little more lemon. The Cajun sauce was amazing. If Im ever back in the Akron area I will definitely eat here again.

I was in the mood for seafood and a friend recommended this place. I drove an hour to Akron, totally worth it. The snow crab was delicious. The fried appetizer was good enough. Their sushi was spectacular. The tuna takaki was meh. It lacked a lot of savory flavor, tasted like seared tuna with olive oil. The fried cod was spectacular. Don’t waste your money on the dinner rolls. The music that was playing was top notch. I’ll definitely be back.

I don’t usually eat seafood but came here with my husband and son who LOVE seafood. They were very happy with their buckets. I tried the fried sweet potato rolls. They were absolutely AMAZING. I actually ordered some to go as well. I have been back several times now and haven’t had 1 bad experience. Great staff and great food. Taking my sister there today.

The food was delicious and the ambiance was amazing. I was surprised that they seemed so short staffed on a Saturday night with all of the events going onaccommodating. We went with a group and It took them awhile to take our orders and bring our drinks, much less the food but the staff was nice although they never refilled our drinks or asked if we wanted anything else.

Food was just ok. I got sushi, fried calamari for an app and house salad. My families food looked gross and came in a bag. A little over priced for what it was. Music was weird. Menu was weird. I’ve seen restaurants come and go in Akron. This one won’t make it and that’s coming from someone who’s been to just about every decent restaurant from cle to Columbus.

The sushi is decent. The crawdads were pretty good and I like the spice. The clams were very very greedy. I understand clams and how they tend to be greedy but this was over the top. I believe they did not rinse them at all prior to boiling them in the bag. Every bite was like chewing on sand. Plus the shells were badly broken

There is a sign hidden behind a coat rack that says they automatically add 10% gratuity to dine-in orders. The crawfish was sub-par. The crab legs wouldn’t crack, you had to tear them open to get the meat. The shrimp was okay. The sushi was bad, I wanted to finish it to avoid wasting food but I couldn’t. The waitress was nice however she charged us an extra item. Luckily we noticed and got it taken off. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Ordered dinner for my Mom & myself... both of us have eaten fresh seafood on the east coast many many times, from the best restaurants. Upon trying her seafood dinner from Boiling House, my Mom said their food quality & preparation was honestly so good that it could rival some of those top notch east coast restaurants! That’s a heck of a statement, believe me! I had some of their sushi, which wasn’t too bad... but I was more impressed than anything with how much my Mom enjoyed the seafood.

It’s been awhile since I’ve been to Ohio, so a close friend of mine suggested this place. At first I was skeptical because I haven’t had good experiences with seafood at restaurants, but this place did a pretty awesome job. The food was good and the server was very understanding and patient. Honestly would not mind coming back again!

this is personally one of my favorite places! great food, great staff, great atmosphere! the house juicy sauce is a must try for sure. the location is hard to find, and the music has been better lately:)

Pros and cons.Cons: They add 10% tip without telling anyone before hand which is unheard of unless its a party of 6.Its expensive so dont go there with just a 20 or youll be stuck with sushi and appetizers.The parking is horrible! Its a pay to park situation unless its after 6p or the staff tell you were to park for free. Can only park out front if youre picking it up. The view is just traffic and construction cones.Pros: Very quiet, we were the only party there at the timeNice environment,clean, nice big bench to sit on.Good selection of food items.Good selection of sauces and sides to add.Food was good! Rice was not but the rest was great. I loved it! I spent about 40 and some change that was with tip they added on which still kinda makes me sick. Ill be back.

I forgot to take a picture after I dumped it out, but this was delicious. I couldnt even eat all of it. I got Combo 2 with Louisiana Cajun seasoning. Yeah, that was the best. The spice was awesome. The sofa was great too. I only mention this because soda nowadays has a really carbonation flavor and theirs did not. If you havent been here you need to go especially if you like seafood or sushi.

Im a big food junkie j love tasting new flavors and meals the atmosphere was good,quite,and not load. Service was ok not overly friendly but a little off when u order something off every section to get a good taste of their food. Sushi was great, miso soup was ok kinda tasted like it was warmed up. Ordered combo 2 added crawfish which tasted ruff only got 5 pieces of shrimp, crab cluster was good wish it was bigger,mussels some were good others was chewy not 100 percent on going back might have to give it another try..

Loved it! Our server Alison was fantastic. Our first time her and she explained the menu and some of the best things to order. The rock shrimp was great with a crunchy coating and spicy mayo. The crab leg boil with garlic butter was yummy. The sushi came out like a masterpiece and was perfect! Always have to get dessert. Fried ice cream and cheescake!

The food was amazing and a full bar every night! Laid back atmosphere, I highly recommend it!

Not quite what I expected . From the name alone, it gives the impression of being compatible to Boiler 65 in West Cleveland. Similar name, and similar seafood in a bag , but the taste is a bit different , but good. They have nice servers, but not what I expected. I would like to give another try they just opened and a lot has changed based on the other reviews.

Delicious! Food was great! Waiter was wonderful as well. There was jazz playing and people enjoying themself.

What a beautiful place! The bartender was very welcoming. The food smells great. I cant say that I got to taste it I work for a delivery service. The music was Soulful jazz it was a wonderful calm environment check out the pictures!

Omg the seafood boil bags were AMAZING!!! Sooo many flavors too chose from. Awesome ambience..perfect for a date night! The staff was awesome and accommodated our large party of about 18

Food was great which comes with a price. Everything comes in a bag when you order the combo meal. Pick a seasoning to be cooked in. If your not into spice I would recommend the mild bc the medium and hot do have alot of kick to it. Sea food seem very fresh and easy to Crack the crab legs which was a plus. Ordered sushi and it was amazing. You can definitely can tell good sushi between bad. This place has a good atmosphere and the bathrooms are clean. And last but not least the service was great and everything came in a timely fashion not a long wait. Our waitress brought everything that we requested right away

This place is delicious. I highly recommend the House Juicy sauce. I got medium spice level and my mom got mild. The medium is good, but I like really spicy food and was given a disclaimer so bear that in mind. The service was excellent as well.

Customer service is excellent. My son enjoyed it very much. Try the Hollywood sushi roll (on the right). Dont come in here thinking youre about to eat cute either! Get ya hands dirty!

The soft shell crab and corn fritter appetizers were very good but the entree was splendid! We had the boil bag with crab, shrimp and clams and it was plenty large enough to share. It’s a little messy but SO worth it! We were dressed to go out to a club so we wore the bib and and the gloves and had a blast! The server is delightful; we are already planning our next trip.

Best seafood Ive had in a very long time. Atmosphere was great, service was exceptional.
