One of the most memorable places for us, in Myanmar.

Not that big but can learn more about general Aung San.

The greatest father of Myanmar lived here. We never forget his strives, love to the people.

Its a cool house, but quite small as far as museums go. 5000 MMK is also a fairly high foreigner entrance fee for the size.

Bokyoke Aung San Museum,Major General Aung Sans last residence (May 1945 - July 1947before his assassination in July 1947.It houses exhibits on his life story and general memorabilia which includes clothing, books, furniture, family photos,bedroom of Aung San and Khin Kyi,Bedroom of Aung San Ok,Aung San Lin,Aung San Su Kyi.In the garden of the house,there is the swimming pool where his middle son Aung San Lin drowned.It was the Highest General house of that time.Now everyone can easily visit there without limitations.

A must visit in Yangon .Very well maintained .So many memories of the man who fought for the freedom of Myanmar .The tribute by the people by preserving all his memories makes one really nostalgic .Complete info on this truly great icon is found here .We not only are informed but are full of respect for this great personality who did so much for his country in his short but meaningful life .Life cannot be counted and worthy for the no.of years you live but by what you contribute for your nation .A true hero .Sadly he lived for a very short period .

Last year, I went to this museum with my friends. Like a school trip. I thought its really amazing for us because I have never been there. I think if you are Myanmar, you have to go this place. But not must. You can go there on Martyrs day or something like that. Sorry if my English is wrong because Im still learning.😀

Come here if you have more time, not necessarily a must-see. However, its surreal to be standing in the residence of Myanmmars national hero, Aung San. There are no guides here, though most of the exhibits have some English excerpts.

Not really big museum. Nice if your around in that region but not really a "must see"

Really good to see Bogyoke Museum.

I have visited Bogyoke Aung San Museum today and it was really awesome experience visiting there. It was such a precious memory and I really enjoyed it. The museum is closed on Monday and gazetted days. So, we can visit there except that days from 9:30 a.m to 4:30 p.m. Entrance fees are free to Myanmar people and 5000 kyats for tourists.

Price is a little steep to get in 5000ks pp. Information about Aung Sans life is sparse which is a shame

General AungSan(Bogyoke Aung San)is heart of myanmar people especially for Burmese.It is General AungSan lived when he alive,you should visit to that home and I recommend that after visit,you will know some of information of Myanmars political history and other knowledge.

This is amazing and can give sadness. I got both when i got there. It is the place which should try to go if u want to see about our general Aung San who was our independence father.

Nothing much to see and learn here. But the people there in the museum are really kind and helpful.

In this museum ,our national leader General Aung Sans biography and historicals are shown ,..General Aung San is also known as "father of independence of Myanmar´´.He tried to get back the indepedence of Myanmar against British goverment.

This Museum is the home of General Aung San,Burma(MyanmarIndependent leader.It shows his family photos, their living style and the books that he read.

Interesting display detailing some of Myanmar/Burma history in an easy to understand format.

Museum visitors should keep their voice low inorder not to disturb other visitors.Museum authorities could have been strict with Silence Rule.

Was hoping for more history, but only for plates and attire. Still, its a cool place to visit as its near all the temples.

Great leader General Aung San liveth with so simple life at this house to show his sincerity to Myanmar people and his loveth to country.

You shouldnt miss this place if youre interested in one of the greatest leader of Myanmar.

This place is not forgetable for everyone in Myanmar. It can be said if one does not visit it, one will not see the heart of our General. But most of people in Yangon have not been there and some (including with taxi driver at Yangon airportdo not know even where this place is situated.

Not worth it for foreigners to visit the place. They charged 5,000 kyats on the entrance fee, yet the interior is lack of maintenance, the introduction of the General Aung San and also the guidance of the entire museum is very rough as well. If you are an non-Burmese citizen, you will definitely feel regret on paying 5,000 for this visit.

Not big enough to justify spending 5000kyat. The Museum was interesting, but was only 4 rooms which took all of 15 mins to explore.

Expensive at 5000 kyats per person but an interesting place to visit. Exhibits have English descriptions and its close to several interesting pagodas and monasteries.

A surreally weird experience. This place is amazing. Not a bad hagiography for a key founder of a complicated nation.

It’s the old residential house of General Aung San. Used items, furniture, books and of course photos. However, many descriptions were in Burmese. It’s a good-to-go place to understand more about how the modern and democratic Burma began. The location is a little secluded, just take a grab there.

The place has both historical and present significance. Historical - because it had been the place where the family of General Aung San (Father of Myanmarand his daughter the present State Counsellor of Myanmar and noble peace laureate Aung San Suu Kyi had lived. The house is very beautiful and attractive. It is constructed at small hillock. Inside the house, the statue of Aung San which really looks like a living one has been kept, you may like to talk with him. It is so amazing to see with your own eyes the place where great people has lived their live, shared their thoughts, dine together so on and so forth.It is a good place for researcher too. The overcoat presented to General Aung San by great Indian leader Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru has been kept there, and numbers of biography of General Aung San, Su Kyi and other valuable books are available there.

General Aung San is the not only our National hero who fought for the independent but Aung San Su Kyi s father who is still leading to become a successful Democratic country in Myanmar as well. You can see the photos; the written notes by him and the rooms that they lived in the museum which used to be his home before he died.

Interesting home, some personal artifacts including his car. If one is interested in exploring the recent history of Myanmar this is a must see. It is off the main road so find a guide if you dont speak or read Burmese.

Interesting place. Not too much there but very evocative.

The museum celebrates the life and times of General Aung San. It is quite small and can be visited in under an hour. It is housed in a charming colonial building, the last home the famed political leader lived in before his assassination. A young Aung San Suu Kyi, the generals daughter and herself a prominent political personality, figures in a lot of the photos on display.For its size, the museum charges a steep fee of 5,000 kyats (about 4 USD), the same amount charged at the huge National Museum not far away.

Nice, small museum. But entrance fee of 5000 kyats is steep. In the old photo on web, it used to be 500 kyats.
