Bodden Tours: Mayan Jungle Canopy Zipline & Victor's Monkey Business - Tourist attraction in Brus Laguna, Honduras
We only book thru Bodden tours on each trip to Roatan Honduras. They have the best tours, guides, and value you the most.
Cost to drive was a little expensive but the sloth and monkey tour was cool amd the dolphin tour was fantastic . Stall was very knowledgeable and informative .
Unsafe! Do not go here. We did the quad ride, zip line and animal tour. Animals were great. Zipline was ok - but gumbalimba is definitley better. Quad ride is very unsafe! Quads are in horrible condition with the brakes adjusted so that only the rear brake works partially and front brake not at all. We have been riding quads and ATVs for over 20 years- these are the worst. When we told the guide that our brakes didnt work, he said they are adjusted that way on purpose because they dont want people only using the front brake and possibly going over the handlebars- UNSAFE!!!! you go down several steep hills and the rear brake alone is not enough, it locks up and you did the whole way down because you cant use the front brakes at all to help slow you down. Please go elsewhere. We are very experienced riders and this scared us big time.
My favorite shore excursion of our trip. The guide was friendly and informative. We were able to interact with all the animals and the sloths were simply adorable.
I LOVE THE SLOTHS! They were SOOOOO soft! There were 2 babies. And a monkey jumped on my head! There were talking birds too. It was a really neat experience. I would go back.
We were a group of 17. We look for their kiosk at the pier an our van was ready!!! Our driver Johnny and our guide Chris were excellent. If you are looking for a fun day at Roatan you need to book with Victor Bodden Tours. We took the tour that was a zip line and afternoon at the beach.
SO AMAZING!!! But if you are staying in Roatan, go first thing in the morning, we arrived shortly after 9, and basically had a private zipline tour with the guide and photographer (totally worth it to pay him $20Then we were privately escorted through the monkeys and birds and sloths... it was awesome... but as we were leaving around 11:30, it was non stop buses from the cruise ships. The line to pay for tickets was quickly growing to a few hundred people as we were waiting for our cab back to the resort. Get there early to get the most unique experience without the crowd.
We had a blast! So much fun and very friendly.
The Zipline has lots of platforms! It was robust! The sloth/monkey experience exceeded expectations. The kids also loved the atv through the jungle! 4 stars is because so many of the employees explained that they depended on tips and the price to use credit card was 15% over what was advertised.
Good, reliable tour company. We made a reservation, it did not require any payment in advance. They had a kiosk right there within the cruise terminal and the van picked you up from the cruise terminal. We had a great time.
We booked online and it was super easy. Great prices and communication. Found our tour guide easily after leaving cruise ship. He gave us great information as he drove us to our dolphin snorkel. Then we went to the sloth sanctuary. They were falling asleep by then so didnt get much time with them. Got some good photos. Met Victor himself while there. Would use company again.
Absolute dream come true for animal lovers. My husband and I booked the private tour with monkey and sloth sanctuary during a cruise stop and loved every minute. We felt very safe and thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the lovely island. Highly recommend and will absolutely visit again.
Our favorite excursions, perfect for animal lovers. The beach was amazing, one of the best we ever been.
After our Jolly Roger excursion being canceled due to high winds we took in the sloth exhibit. What a treat! My first experience with sloths. I appreciated how the place was clean and well taken care of. Awesome!
We spent an entire week on a cruise boat, traveling the beautiful seas of the Caribbean, and this was hands down the favorite activity of our cruise trip.We were picked up (over the hill outside the cruise area - just as described to us in the info email they sentwith a group of other cruisers. We first stopped at a lookout with some small shops. It was cool to see the landscape of Roatan from up high. We then drove 20 minutes to the Zip Line / Animal Sanctuary (they are in the same location). There were 11 zip lines, the guides were absolutely a blast! They were fun and funny and kept the group safe and entertained as we went. The ziplines did not require any participate hand braking, they did that for you with their slow down catch system. It was a great trip and by far the best zip-lining experience I have had.We then went and met our guide for the animal sanctuary. We got to hold sloths (sadly the sloth didnt really like me haha, kept trying to get awayand monkeys and we saw other animals too. After this delightful morning of fun, we were taken to the West End beach where we had our own beach chairs ready for us at the Banarama / Pizzarama restaurant. They have a rope barrier that prevents sellers to approach your chair which was great. The beach was beautiful, lots of fun things to eat and buy. Little to no waves, pure clarity in the water, it was paradise! I think this was the only location I wished we didnt have to leave to back onto the cruise boat!10/10 would recommend this tour!
This tour group is amazing. We booked a private tour of Roatan and had a wonderful guide. He was so informative and took us everywhere we wanted to go. We also did the Sloths and Snorkel with JC who is also apart of the Bodden Tours. I know I get worried booking an excursion off the ship but these guys are top notch and you wont be disappointed. Highly recommended.
Animals are well cared for and healthy. Staff are friendly, informative and proud of their work
We had an amazing time this year! Jerry was our driver from the cruise port. He was really pleasant to be with and knowledgeable about the areas he took us to.The sloths are my favorite and there were 2 babies we could see. We couldnt touch the babies or the mommas would reject them, but we could look at them. The capuchin monkeys were fun. The parrots liked sitting on our heads. The beach break at Bananarama was the perfect amount of time. We were able to relax on the beach and snorkel off the beach for awhile. We will be back!
Went for the ATV tour and animal experience. Please be warned - the tour is very hilly and I personally couldnt finish it due to a combination of heat exhaustion and being out of practice with ATVing/having a weak wrist for braking purposes and not wanting to risk it as the escarpments are very high.If you are used to difficult ATV trails, this might be for you!Regarding the animal experience - well worth the $15. You get to interact with a number of animals in the sanctuary, including capuchin monkeys (beware of the tails! theyre not overly mindful of where they put them to grab onto you and I got one in the eye lol), sloths, macaws, and other tropical birds! Animal lovers need to go :)
Very impressed with the level of attention given by the tour guides at Victors Boddens tours. Our guide even took us to a home/kitchen (Ms. Amintasand got us some authentic Hondurian grub. Had a great time on the ziplines and the atv park. Seeing the sloths and monkeys were pretty cool too.Thank you Victor! Will definitly be back.
They let us hold the sloth and monkeys along with the Macaws. The photographer is SO good. So sad that it was 50$US to get the photos..Ziplining was... something, Im afraid of heights and it was okay 🤷♀️ my boyfriend REALLY enjoyed it. You can also purchase the photos from the zipline for 20$US (2 peopleso we got thoseOverall, really great would recommand
We were planning on going to Gumbalimba park to see the animals, and ended up coming here instead upon our taxi drivers suggestion. He explained that it was cheaper and you get more time with the animals than Gumbalimba, especially since there were so many cruise passengers on the island that day. We did just the animal tours, and it was great! The capuchin monkeys climb right onto your shoulder, and the sloths are so gentle and cuddly. We got to see the 3-day old baby sloth as well! We didnt feel rushed or have to wait in line, and we didnt have to rent a locker to put our bags in, there was a little rack outside of each monkeys exhibit to hold bags. Lots of photo ops!Definitely recommend for a good animal experience!!
loved it. Chris the tour guide so nice and knowledgeable makes tour fun. Jerry blue eyes was a great driver and we had fun with him. We will be back in September and will book again. Sloths and Monkeys were great and beach was fun and loved the area we got to ourselves. The only thing was a waste of time to stop at sovinear shop on the way. No one in group bought or really wanted to shop. We wanted to see monkeys, sloths and beach.
What a fantastic experience! We did the Zip & Dip package which included the sanctuary tour for a group of 12 with 5 being little kids. Honestly, we didnt know much about what we were getting into beforehand but this turned out to be everyones favorite thing hands down! Every habitat in the sanctuary was clean and well kept and the staff was incredibly knowledgeable and kind with us every step of the way. We spent a lot of time with the sloths, capuchins, macaws, and the beautiful green birds I forgot the name of and then visited with the spider monkeys and toucan from more of a distance. The sanctuary alone was jammed with once in a lifetime memories. From there, the crew of gallant heroes took us ziplining. I am terrified of heights and they managed to be patient and kind with me, super supportive and careful with all the children (ranging from 5 to 10 years and 45 pounds to 98 pounds), and still made it a thrilling adventure for the adventure seekers in our group (hanging upside down & doing different incredible tricksacross the valleys. We then met back up with our tour guide from the shuttle who was so kind, knowledgeable, supportive, helpful, and patient and took us over to the Bananarama Beach Resort which was also a pleasure. Its not the Disneyfied type but it was the perfect relaxing end to a phenomenal day. Victor Bodden has really nailed this tour program and provided some of the best staff and environments to visit and immerse with in the whole Caribbean area.
Bodden Tours made our Roatan stop unforgettable. Their coordination made everything extremely simple and an insane value. I cant believe that we were able to do everything on our list and more in the short 8 hours at port.We had easy pickup from our cruise ship, comfortable transportation the entire day to all our destinations. One AMAZING driver Johnny Thompson was simply the best! He first took us to the Canopy Zipline and animal habitat. Let me say that this zipline was better than Puerto Rico and Hawaii. We had plenty of time holding sloths, monkeys and birds. Our driver Johnny then took us to West Bay Beach. We had lunch, took a boat for a 1 hr. Snorkel excursion (equipment includedtook our entire group of 10 parasailing and came back with enough time for a $40 1 hr. Full body massage on the beach. We never felt rushed and made it back to the ship with time to spare. These guys had everything running so smooth and if some of the group didnt want to do something, there was plenty of other options.I recommend booking direct and with confidence.
The experience alone is worth the price of admission. Having our guide, Kenny McCoy, just enhanced the experience. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. Kenny was super friendly and accommodating. He gave us an unscripted tour that was filled with his own experiences. We felt very safe with Kenny. The monkey and sloth sanctuary was fantastic. How often do you get to hug a sloth? Cesar was our guide and made sure we had all the time we needed to spend with the animals, especially the sloths (our #1 priority).Kenny took our preferences for our beach break and he delivered! He took us to Bananarama and we were able to have a beach break with bathrooms, changing rooms, showers, a bar with food and free wifi ($15 pp). The beach was beautiful and had white sand that felt like carpet. No rocks or shells to hurt your feet. Kenny made sure to factor in school letting out and possible traffic to make sure we got back to our ship on time. We had no stress worrying about that.I had reservations about safety before the trip. After the experience with Victor Bodden tours and our fantastic tour guide, Kenny, Roatan was the highlight of our trip. Do not hesitate to book your tour!
Bidden Tours is simply the best way to experience Roatan. You will of course see the Iguanas, white faced capuchins, macaws, and those charming sloths. Which is a great experience. But your individual guide will help you to not only see the island, but to experience it. Want to see the reef? They got you. Want to see how chocolate is made? No problem. Whatever you want to do and see, Victor Bodden will do everything to help facilitate that.
Thrilling ATV ride, flying over the Jungle and a personal tour of the animals. What more do you need? Nothing!! Perfect day trip!
This place is fantastic and I highly recommend it. We did the zipline and the instructors were great! We also took a tour of the sanctuary and were able to visit with the monkeys, sloths, and parrots. All the animals seemed very well taken care of and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. We had an amazing time and we will definitely return.
Absolutely amazing day. My fiance and I spent the day here with Jerry as our private guide. We could not have asked for a better experience. Jerry was the best and the island of Roatan far exceeded our expectations. Thanks again Jerry and Bodden Tours
Went hired a taxi for the day and he suggested this place for us. Betty was our guide for the animal tour. We only wanted to see the sloths and monkeys, but they offer zip lines and ATV rides as well. She was amazing. She didnt rush us through and explained everything in such detail. We started with the white face monkeys. I was so moved by the stories of how they are all rescues and how sweet Pinky was that I actually cried a little while I was petting him. Betty took so many pictures and videos for us with our cameras. We moved on to see the sloths and omg! This was the highlight of our cruise! I highly recommend this place. Thank you Betty for an unforgettable experience!
It is a fun place to visit, love the sloths and Monkeys. Zip lining is super fun and worth the money.
Fantastic day in Roaton with our personal driver Larson (Chino). He was a great tour guide and was very knowledgeable and provided an overview of the different villages we traveled through. We visited the exotic animals at Victor Boddens and interacted with the monkeys, macaws, and the sloths (my favorite). I was amazed how social the sloths were. They have zip lines, atvs and more available. Truly a one stop tour destination! After the interaction we had a late breakfast at the Red Pot, which Larson recommended. It was excellent. Had the best tostones in my life at the Red Pot. Highly recommend. After breakfast we went to the beach at Banarama(West Bayand had a wonderful swim. Reef you can reach from the beach. Thank you Larson for showing my wife and I a wonderful time on Roatan.
Had such a great time at the Animal Sanctuary. You can hold the animals and they look well taken care of. I will be back to do the Zipline!!
I was heads over “Luna”. My husband and I opted to only do the animal tour and we paid $10 p/person. You can do the animal and zip line for $45 which in my opinion is a steal. I made it clear to our guide that I was there to see the sloths and we walked straight to their area. I was introduce to Luna who immediately won my heart over. She was so loving and allowed me and my husband to bond with her. I almost wanted to put her in my bag and run away. We also visit 2 naughty little monkeys. They were very cute and instantly jumped on us. I enjoyed learning about the animals.
The best day of my life was in Roatan. Amazing views from the more than a dozen zip lines, little monkeys jumping on you, sloth hugs!!!💕💕💕 We had an amazing guide named Tex who spoke incredible English and was very well polished with incredible knowledge of the island. My heart cries a little bit just thinking about the amazing time I could be having there. I love Roatan Honduras!
My family has used Bodden Tours twice, once 9 or so years ago and again in Dec 2019. I can not write enough good things about the tours and the monkey business. First both our guides we have had were super friendly and knowledgable about the area. What really sets them apart is just how unbelievable kind they are! On our most recent trip I was traveling with my 79 year old Grandma and my disabled Aunt so needless to say my party needs a bit of extra patience and time to get in and out of the van and walking around places. Now for the Monkey Business, I regret not writing our tour guides name down, but he went above and beyond. The paths there are a bit uneven and there is a good bit of walking to be done but they quickly got a wheelchair (without us even askingfor my Grandma and the gentleman was even kind enough to push her around the tour. If that wasnt kind and thoughtful enough they brought us a light chair to carry around so my Aunt had a place to sit when we were staying in one place for awhile. I really could go on and on about how amazing this whole company is. I promise you wont regret booking with them!
Great Company! The ZIPLINES ARE AMAZING, be prepared for steps though. My mom typically is in a walker and the guides were helpful and allowed us to go at her pace!We had 6 in our group from 8 to 62 years old and this with the birds/monkeys/sloths was a unanimous favorite on our 10 day trip. The parasailing was good...We didnt have enough time for the 4 wheelers that day, due to my moms inability to go fast, we did pay in advance earlier in the day. VICTOR , sent someone with our refund to the ship port...Great SERVICE AND SUGGESTIONS by Kenny (our driver/guide)! Next trip 4 wheelers will be FIRST.Thanks Kenny and Victor!
Bodden tours is our go to every time we visit. They take real good care of us. Howard is like family and we love him. If you want a safe and reliable tour guide and driver this is for you. I absolutely cannot give a good enough review.
The tour was a lot of fun, but the place was so crowded, at times the guides rushed us through. Im sure the timing is to accommodate lots of cruise ship tourists, but for the tour package prices, it would have been nice to be able to hang out with the animals a bit longer. Still a lot of fun and worth the trip 👍
This is a great location. Very low-key, familiar vibe. The zipline is fun - maybe not the most epic views compared to some on the island, but a great variety of lines and really chill guides who showed us how to hang upside down, swing, go tandem and do front flips off the platforms. The up close and personal time with the animals was unforgettable. We held and petted sloth, got hopped on by scarlet macaws and became jungle gyms for monkeys. It was a pleasant and unrushed time.
An awesome experience. The monkeys were fun and the sloths were adorable. There was a baby sloth when we visited and it was the cutest thing ever. The gift shop, surprisingly, had a lot to choose from and I spent way more than I wanted to but it was well worth it.
We did the animal part at V Boddens, no zip line for us. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting the monkeys, sloths, parrots and Toucans. Saw some deer too. Animals seem well looked after and I was glad to see a time limit on sloth visits. Enclosures could be bit bigger. Staff were friendly and polite.
I loved seeing all of the animals! We were able to hold the sloths and play with the monkeys. The experience of interacting with the animals was great! Our tour guide was very rushed when there was no need to be and spent more time telling us about her sick daughter and their medical expenses (to get more of tipthan telling us about the animals we were seeing.
We booked through trip advisor and have zero regrets. This was the high light of all excursions!Just one note, being some extra cash as everyone expects tips. They are not required but we felt inclined because everyone was so great at what they did!Our guide Jerry was the best!
One of the mostFantastic places Ive ever been. Its a kind of farm or mini zoo and you have the posibility to stay in the same place with a variety of monkies Birds Lemurs ond so on. Hoy hoy recommended. Only 10 USD p/ person.
We overslept and wanted something nearby. Its only 15 minutes from the port. We got off the ship and ran into tour booths. We took Victor Bodden tour. For $30 pp, the driver took us to gas station to get a few snacks and then to the Mayan canopy park. He waited while we took the tour which we loved. The monkeys jump from person to person and one even took my hat. Super cute!! **The only downside was that we felt very rushed by our park guide.
Best spot for zip lining and to see the sloths. Had a great time! Took a while for them to send the pictures via email we paid them for but we did eventually get them
This place was great! We got to hold a baby sloth, had a monkey sit on our shoulders and had a parrot roost on our heads! Only draw back is that it is pretty hot, so wear appropriate clothing. Also, make sure to get there early because the crowd makes it fill up fast! We went with Bodden Tours and our guide took us here before doing anything else, and by the time we were leaving there were a lot of people lining up outside.
We knew exactly what to expect coming off the boat thanks to the YouTube video included in the email from Victor. We opted to take the $2 taxi to the tour bus. Once there we met our driver Wilson who was very nice and knowledgeable. We had a private tour for the 8 of us and planned a snorkel trip and monkey business. Our first stop was at the monkey business and ziplines. We paid for everything there, snorkel, tour, and monkey business. The Monkey Business was awesome. We got to hold a sloth, and have a parrot and monkey walk on our heads.Next stop was West End where we met JC who took us out to the reef on his boat. Best snorkeling we had on the Blue Channel. After we walked across the street and had $2 rum and cokes upstairs while the teenagers played on the beach. JC was super nice and I would highly recommended him for all your snorkel trips. We ran out of time so our last hour was a quick sightseeing tour over to West Bay. It was nice but Im glad we spent most of our time on West End.Would 100% recommend Victor Bodden Tours!
