Bobbie D's Southern Cuisine - Soul food restaurant in Little Rock, United States
This a wonderful restaurant. It reminds me of the TV show Sweetie Pies with Miss Robbie and her Family. The food is very good and soulful.. I would recommend this place over a lot of businesses here in little rock, Ar.
Bobbie Ds just set a high expectation for southern food from this west coaster.
The breakfast potatoes was really SALTY with no real SOUL and too pricey for those very SMALL portions of food..not worth it . If you dont believe just go see for your self...dont say I didnt earn you
Soul food is my thing it was all delicious thats all I can say in the sweet tea was bomb cant wait to return
Lived in LR for over 15 years and never knew this place existed until this weekend. This is amazing southern homestyle cooking at its finest. Just like grandma would make. The food was fresh and hot and extremely tasty. The staff was so friendly and very welcoming. If you have not been you definitely need to try it. I will definitely be returning.
Friendly and inviting customer service is wonderful food is the best
Im just not a fan. Im not sure what the seasoning was in the greens or why they were hugh uncut collard green leaves. Further, its just my personal preference not to eat sweet cornbread that falls apart. On a positive I must add that there were a lot of patrons in the restaurant.
It might be a little expensive. But the food was good and more than plenty. The service was fun and friendly. You are no stranger there.
I was visiting from Pennsylvania. Overall, a great experience. The staff were friendly and I enjoyed the food. The smothered pork chop was delicious--well seasoned, tender, and juicy. The macaroni and cheese and yams were just OK (Im a tough critic for both), but the green beans (loved the lemony flavorand banana pudding were also tasty. I would definitely eat there again the next time Im in Little Rock. Oh, and get the (freesweet tea. It was great!
Food was really tasty with generous servings. Not buffet but you choose a meat, 2 veggies, roll/cornbread & a drink with price depending on the meat. The food & drinks are brought to your table. Service was excellent! Friendly yet very professional. Desserts - Delicious!! Visit Bobbie Ds and enjoy a great meal!!!
Some of the best food you will eat in Little Rock! You can taste the care they cook into the food. The entire staff were attentive, warm, and welcoming. I will be finding reasons to go back.
They have good food. But you dont no what the prices is untill you get though eatting I didnt like that, but the service was good and the food
Stopped here Sunday for lunch and was pleasantly surprised friendly, welcoming service. The food was delicious! Get the pecan pie!! We would definitely eat here again.
The food was out of this world. Good ole southern cooking. The folks working there were a polite and helpful as could be.
Great southern food. Excellent hospitality.
Delicious food and I Love Everyones energy when you walk in. A beautiful family who made their mothers recipes come to life with mouth watering food. A "Must Try" Black Owned Business.
First time eating there.. staff had fast and efficient service. Very professional..food is amazing..definitely recommend this place.
This is a cafeteria style setup. Really friendly staff and great food. Several options in meat, vegetables and desserts. All I have tried are very good. Southern style as the name states. On Sunday’s arrive early. They are busy, but it is worth it.
Excellent service, real country cooking, family friendly atmosphere. Like going to grandmas house for a full-sized family gathering with all the trimmings.
Plate lunch ....prime rib rare OMG Smoked on a real oak fire . Sqaush caserole / greens / halepenea cornbread .sweet icetea . Best EVER . 👌
Friendly staff. The pork steak was seasoned well and tender. Cabbage was a touch spicy but overall tasty. Not a real fan of the candied yams. I learned that they serve from 11 to 3 and once the meat part of the entree is out, thats it.
Found this place on Google maps while on a work trip. I will say that this was some of the best food Ive ever had. I will stop again when Im in Little Rock!
Moving here from Louisiana it was hard for me to find good Southern food.Stumbled on this restaurant and history was made..And the hospitality compliments the food.Great place to eat .
Just visiting LR today. Saw this place and figured, why not. This is some of the best food I have had in a loooong time. The hospitality and the atmosphere had me feeling like I was back with family in Louisiana. Highly recommend Bobbie D’s
Great customer service and delicious food.
Delicious food, staff was great. Glad we stopped in as we were passing through on a road trip. Turkey was amazing. I have never had dressing with cornbread in it but I loved it.
Love to support black businesses. I called my order in and was told I still needed to wait in the buffet line which was what I wanted to avoid by calling my order in. The food was good if you need a soul food fix, but not “slap yo moma good”. This gigantic fried pork chop had little to no seasoning and was very bland. I also tried the spaghetti which was tasty. I’ll try again when I’m in town and hope to see improvements.
Driving cross country and found Bobbie Ds! I highly recommend this wonderful place! The food was excellent. Delicious southern cooking!! The whole staff was very welcoming and kind!I would eat there everyday if I lived in Arkansas! If I could give 10 stars, I would!!
This crew recently catered an event that my husband and I attended in Benton/Bryant. The food was FANTASTIC and every single one of the staff were so friendly and incredibly fun! Very rare that you see that type of service. This is a direct reflection of the leadership and management of this company! Job well done and we will definitely be using them for our catering needs in the future!
Great southern food. Had the beef pot roast. Super friendly staff. They wait on you throughout the whole meal. First time visiting.
Excellent cooking!!! Highly recommended and the staff make you feel so welcome. Nice environment, will definitely be back 👍
I loved this place! This was my first time trying soul food and the employees were so friendly and helpful. I really felt like I was eating with friends as they checked on me regularly and were so nice. The food was fantastic!
Consistent, great service, tasty food. Ive had them 4 times and Ive been surprised each time. Extremely flavorful. I did feel a bit rushed when I was at the restaurant the first time, but the flavor and other service made up for it. Im big on being treated well when I spend my money. Definitely a returning customer.Suggestions loaded hamburger steak (very unique), cabbage, chicken (fried or bakedand the tea....
The food is good hands down!!! *** warning to card users*** IF YOU ARE BUYING FOOD THERE DO NOT USE A CARD!! I had been using my card the whole weekend and then went there used my card and the next day I received fraud alerts!!! Someone used my card 5 times in the amount of$700! So I recommend if you eat there pay CASH!!!!!!!
This place is legitimately the best southern food Ive ever eaten. My best friend and I broke down nearby, and we came over to grab some food, not expecting much. We left an hour later after stuffing ourselves more full of steak, greens, corn bread, sweet tea, coffee, and pie than we thought possible... amazing food, amazing southern hospitality, and I would honestly make a trip back just to eat at this place again.
Great food, friendly staff; but, sometimes when you’re new & you’re not that familiar, you can feel a little rushed to make a selection to keep the service line moving. Other than that I would definitely recommend this place, you won’t be sorry & you will definitely return. Clean, clutter-free, and friendly place to get a quick bite of good soul food.
If you love good soul food then this is the place to go. Homemade with lots of love. The Mac & cheese, greens and white beans that I had were delectable. Then the chicken fried steak and brisket were amazing. My wifes steak was cooked perfect. And the staff was out of this world friendly and amazing. And dont forget to get a glass of the sweet tea to wash it all down with.
Why would someone post a half eaten meal? Let me tell you something man. First things first when entering this establishment, you will feel highly welcomed from a very attentive staff. Such a warm hearted environment for anyone entering. I went with the country fried steak, cabbage and mash potatoes. The fried steak was covered in white gravy and just the right amount of crispy and so juicy. Cabbage almost taste pickled, but definitely prepared properly. The mash potatoes you wouldve thought were made by my late grandmother. 5 stars for the food and 6 for the environment. If you have a appetite for southern respect or food this is the place to be I promise.
Great food, family atmosphere, & EXCELLENT customer service. I enjoyed my conversation with Ms. Carla today. If you dont want to cook it but want it homemade, Bobbie Ds is the place to be!
Delicious 😋 and the service there was amazing. Were from out of town and did a Google on soul food restaurants near me and was Not disappointed at all. Highly recommended this place.
The service and food is AMAZING!! This is completely a hidden gem in Little Rock. You walk in to smiles and warm greetings then walk out with smiles and full bellies. Southern food at it’s absolute best!! Love it and will be back for sure.
Our past visits the food was amazing! We went today and everything was so salty! Totally unlike what we have had before. We got the smothered ribs were tender fall off the bone, mac & cheese, black eyed peas in one plate and the 2nd was mashed potatoes&gravy with too much garlic salt, dressing, mac & cheese. The black eyed peas were so hot from way too much pepper. Would have been great if each item was proprotionately seasoned. The salt completely overpowered the other flavors of each item to the point where we couldnt finish the food. The desserts were delicious especially the banana pudding! We may try them again to see if we can get the same great food weve had before.
Twin City transportation has taken me to eat there for lunch the past two days and the food is awesome and you will get full. The staff is very friendly and you feel like family as soon as you walk through the door. They just make you feel like they have known you for years and happy to see you. An Amazing experience.
The food here is excellent. A different spin of flavor in the greens but very tasty and gratifying. I will definitely be back to try other dishes oh and the portions are very generous and the atmosphere and service was very welcoming.
The family here makes your basic southern comfort food. Comfort is what we all need right now and Bobby Ds serves it up with a smile (behind the mask). My chicken fried chicken plate was fine and the greens were just what I needed. Well hit the place again next time we are out there.
Love the southern food. Pulled pork, Mac and cheese, mixed veggies
The main item hamburger steak on top of a baked potato was good, mac n cheese was decent, yams could use some brown sugar to liven it up and the cornbread was dry. I may try it again to see if the rolls and or jerk chicken is better.
Great southern home cooking served cafeteria style with love. Our stop was unplanned and we were very pleased with the food. Chicken, meatloaf, pork tenderloin, greens, potatoes several choices and other veggies. The family running the joint were just friendly to us the locals that were obviously regulars. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Awesome food wonderful service. They make you feel like your at home or a local. Glad I found you I will be back!
I was really looking forward to the Sunday buffet I seen online but it wasnt available. So, I ordered a large meal consisting of fried chicken, baked chicken, chicken spaghetti, mashed potatoes, green beans, dressing, yeast roll and sweet tea. Needless to say, Im stuffed. My personal favorites were the baked chicken (nice and juicy, dressing (with gravy, seasoned to perfectiongreen beans (the broth makes it worth itand the sweet tea. My fried chicken (although seasoned wellwas a little on the dry side but please take into consideration that I came minutes before closing and its sitting on a line, buffet-style. I will come early next time and give it a fair chance. The service was excellent and the employees treat you like family. Very clean environment and the young waitresses checked on me religiously. Good food and good service deserves 5-stars, in my book. I shall return!!!
