great food, great drinks, and overall great service. we were attended by the positive polite polyglot latino.

Everything was excellent, from the cocktails to the mains. You have to try the potato soup and goat cheese strudels !Everything was correctfully timed, we didnt wait nor felt rushed, and we had a very kind and professionnal waiter.We had a daily vegan dish that was amazing !You can go without hesitation, strongly recommanded.

This is absolutely the best restaurant in Frankfurt! My family and I just love this place! The atmosphere is quiet and cozy, the vibe is amazing. Staff is also super friendly! Food is very delicious and the service is just excellent! We enjoy every meal and drink and the location is great too! I recommend this place to everyone and we come back here every time when we are in Frankfurt!

This place is grate! Service was very professional. I give it 10 out of 10!! The meal was very tasty. I was there with my girlfriend, so its perfect for romantic night out! Definitely recommend!

A very nice place in the city center! It is not touristic and the food selection is very nice! I tried the last time the salad with the salmon filet! It is was excellent. The waiters are very friendly but not as professional as they should be in such a place. With better service, this place could be a good place beyond a casual breakfast or lunch!

Cosy restaurant, very good atmosphere.We ordered fish and meat tartar as starters, and it was delicious.Main dish was the meat and curry strudel.Meat was good/ok and the strudel was good. The starters were better than the main dishes.Apple crumble as dessert, was very good.All ingredients were very fresh.Service was excellent.Expensive but worthy.Well recommended.

Gave this place another try after experiencing slightly underwhelming service the first time. This time round the service was fast and the staff felt more attentive. Food was great as usual and I enjoyed my evening there.

The Service was really good. The waitress was smiling, calm, explaining the menu, she was as well checking our table now and then. The food and drinks were good too for a fine dining Restaurant.

Dont be alarmed if you are served a plate of purple crisps and think, "Didnt I order potato soup? They personally ladle the soup into your bowl, leaving a divine aftertaste. Wonderful food, great wine selection, highly recommend trying the Gin Sleiben tonic.

We celebrated a wedding and we really love the restaurant. Super delicious food awesome service and great wine !!! We really enjoyed the evening and well be back as soon as we are again in FFM.

Unfortunately impossible to tell about the quality of the food. Despite summer, 27 degree and COVID the outdoor area has been closed due to the remote possibility of rain that day. Staff was also unfriendly when telling us that it is not possible to eat outside.

Ive eaten here 4 times, great food. What a sad staff. New to FFM, live across the street, really hoped Margarete could be my second kitchen 👌

The best cuba libre I’ve had in Germany.

We ate here last week and it was so good. I had the entrecote and my girlfriend had the chicken. Both were delicious and the vegetables were very fresh and and great combination. Our waiter was Timo, we have no German but he was outstanding. He was very patient, explained everything and just the right amount of attentative which is what you want. My girlfriend is highly allergic to nuts and he very helpful making sure everything was ok. He is a real asset to your team.We came across this place randomly when looking for somewhere to eat in Frankfurt and it is definitely worth a visit!!!

Mixed experience during last visit Dec 19. Wine was excellent. Food wise, very happy with starters. Main course was not enjoyable and overpriced, I chose the veg option for which they basically replaced the fish dish with a parsley root while charging the same price. Service personnel was over stretched and minimalistic.

One of the best restaurants in town with great cuisine! I would also recommend the brunch during weekends which offers two options - all you can eat or pick up from the menu.

I Liked the food and the place design but it’s super busy and slightly understaff. So don’t expect a speedy nor friendly service. But if you have time and want a bit more creative food from the usual green sauce with egg kind of food it’s a good option!

One of my all time favorite meals. The dish on the left - no idea what it is called - but it’s something that I will dream about eating for the rest of my life. High quality ingredients (the cheese and bread specifically were outstanding). Excellent service and wine selections as well!

The company that work for organized a dinner with 3 course meals where my option was: Pumpkin & coconut soup, Veal coocked as perfect and chocolate tartar with sourbet.Good service.High quality wine.Simply delicious!They have a bar a plenty of space for 40+ people.I recommend.

Really nice food and service with reasonable price in Frankfurt, I think Margarete is my top one restaurant in this city, it must make your trip perfect!

Wanna enjoy a good brunch? This would be a great choice. A huge buffet and lots of seats, great service and easy to get there.Make sure you do have a reservation since this location is mostly facing busy times.Enjoy any kind of drink - hot or cold, they have it.

This place is busy! And for a good reason too. The staff is friendly and the food arrived rather quickly.I ordered the potato soup, a rich creamy soup with a decor of purple potato chips.My colleague ordered a simple breakfast dish that consisted of 2 fried eggs, a small portion of humus and french fries.If you want a light meal or just some coffee and cake this place will not disappoint.

Spacious restaurant (reminds me a bit of restaurants in the USwith a delicious brunch offering. Service is good and helpful! Although it was funny when they did not understand the idea of putting candles on a dessert to celebrate a member of the table’s birthday.

We visited the place for a team event, kind of standing dinner. This place is very good!The had a buffet with beef filet that was super, chicken, grilled vegetables and a great polenta.The stuff was very helpful, always refilling our drinks fast enough.There is also a terrace outside for summer days or smoking.Definitely going back again!

Went for an evening meal here with some colleagues. Really nice food, local tastes. Very relaxed environment. The staff were very helpful and provided a menu in English as well as humouring my attempts to order my food in German. The waitress also helped with a wine recommendation which really made the meal. Overall a very pleasant experience!

Been here many times during exhibition times. Never been disappointed. Food quality is excellent, price-performance ratio is great (+/- 45,- EUR for a 3 course menuand much better than some of the traditional "Frankfurt"-type restaurants around, where you get tons of pork meat on your plate. Menu changes regularly and features meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. Service could be quicker during a fully occupied house.

Our second time for brunch with a big group. The experience has truly worsened. It says from 10:00 until 14:30 but it seems that the service diminishes dramatically after 12 when we arrived. They do not replenish some things that run out (for example: I find crazy that a restaurant that offers brunch runs out of chocolate spread)..., pour out the coffee from the warming machine,.... Homemade waffles means that you wait a long queue to prepare yourself waffles on a wafflemachine which takes 4 min per waffle (if there are 4 people in front who make 2 waffles each, you can do the math...), the person cooking eggs was not there most of the time I wanted to have an omelette, ... The place and food are nice but in my opinion the brunch is not worth it anymore.

I was very positively surprised by this location.Initially looking for a place to work (on my laptop), I ended up falling in love with their fish and chips.I am a big fan of f&c and this is definitely the best one Ive eaten in years.Note that this is not a great place for laptop work. Although they are fine with it, the WiFi wasnt working and as the number of tables is limited, you feel under pressure if you are occupying one for too long.This is also a very expensive place, with menus around the 30-50eur mark. Only for lunch during the week do they offer dishes (a different one each dayat 9.5eur

Yesterday evening me and my boyfriend decided to have dinner for my birthday in Margarete, because the interior looked really nice, so we thought it would be a great experience .While my boyfriend was asking the lady at the bar (who was very polite, btwabout the availability of the tables outdoor, a waiter just burst into our conversation in a very impertinent way, since he was never even been addresed . With a very sarcastic and arrogant manner he stated “You can sit at any table that doesn’t have the note Reserved, this is how we work here”. He was obviously mocking at us, his body language and facial expression while talking were absolutely haughty and nasty. After that he just turned and walked away without even giving us time to reply. I still don’t understand how did we deserve this treatment, since we just asked for a table, and not even to him.Still we sat down, we wanted to give it a second chance. Nobody came to attend us for a long time, not even a menu was handled to us. The “witty gentlemen “ wad too busy ignoring us deliberately. So obviously we left to never come back again.The management or owner of that restaurant, whoever is running it, should be much more diligent about the people they are hiring, because they are their brand ambassadors.The employees are as important as the food being surved and the way a restaurant looks like. They are representing the place, and yesterday we’ve been faced by someone who definitely didn’t feel like being there and was very frustrated.

We were there for the second time (First time was Sunday Brunch, which is just amazing!!!). On this occasion we had a Valentines date :-The place was crowded, of course. The Service was good but on such a night of the year it could be better (at least planned better). The Menu als was very good but it was just missing that special something to make it great. All in all it was again great to be here, but the expectation bar was very high since the brunch.

I reserved one table for two at 20.45 but at 20.55 the kitchen is closed and after seat in my table and order the still water i receive the small menu because the "kitchen is CLOSED".We prefer change restaurant and i receive 6.90€ of bill for one bottle of wather. Absurd!

Excellent food, slightly on the pricey side. Menu often changes and uses seasonal food, which is always cooked to perfection. A good wine selection and very helpful staff. Portions could be slightly bigger for one more star, but still this place remains one of my favourite locations in Frankfurt.

Ridiculously overpriced. I was invited by someone else and after running my eyes over the menu it was immediately obvious that the only way to avoid embarrassment was to just order the soup. Which was pretty good. But I had to have my *actual* dinner elsewhere later that evening... The service was also slow. The one good thing was that it was fairly quiet at the back, so good if you want to talk in a calm atmosphere.

Been here twice. Good food, especially creative with vegetables, even if youre not vegetarian. Menu prices are OK for for Frankfurt, a la carte is expensive in comparison. Nice informal decor. Service is hit and miss, depending on the staff member.

Super tasty! Had a company team dinner there and the food, all courses were super delicious. We booked a room in the back and had super friendly and fast service. The staff pleasant, polite and quick. What else do you need.

Lovely interior, great cocktails, but lousy service. Always takes ages until someone brings you the menu and the rest of the ordering takes forever as well. Always so disappointing, as the place and the food itself is lovely. Let’s hope the will either optimise their system or hire at least two extra people.

Asked to see if we could sit at one of the unreserved tables inside the restaurant but the women with curly brown hair/bohemian dress style said a stern NO and had us sit right next to the entrance of the restaurant. 10 minutes passed and two other parties of two without reservation sat on the tables we previously asked for (by another server). Clearly we were discriminated against. We asked the lady again why we couldn’t sit there and she seemed shocked that we asked so we left. If you want to be discriminated against bc you’re a foreigner and don’t mind this, feel free to come here.

Great wine list, delicious food, friendly staffs.

Inattentive and slow service staff. It took upwards of 15 minutes to have someone come by to take the order, and it felt as is everything was done in that time span afterwards: delivery of the beverages, wait, delivery of the food, wait, removal of the trash the guests before us left at the table, wait, and then payment, yes, wait.Food tasted good, but too expensive for what was delivered. It is also a novel idea to put paninis (pluralon the menu and receive one panino, sliced in two. The salads are served without a side of bread, and with the slowness of the waiting staff, it would have taken too long to ask for it and then finally receive.In short, much improvement would be needed to even consider visiting again.

Two stars just for the staff, who were very nice and friendly and gave us a free drink as an apology, but cannot give more than that because we had to wait a ridiculously long time for our food, and when it came, the lettuce in my girlfriends salad was clearly going off. It seemed like others were having similar problems, maybe the kitchen cant cope with busy Sunday brunchtime.
