Board Game Barrister in Wauwatosa

Used to be a great LGS but now heavily overcharges for items, especially when I coukd walk half a block over to Gamestop and get the same item for almost half the price at MSRP.

Over priced…placed an order at Christmas that was never fulfilled…asked about pre-release of products and didn’t get direct answer, guess not in card elitists inner circle…card shops are a joke just shop at target where you didn’t get judge for having the same hobby

Very helpful folks especially for someone who doesnt consider themselves a gamer. Helped us pick out the right kind of exit room/mystery game for just the two of us to play.

I stopped here before a movie and I was very impressed by the selection and how nicely the store was laid out.

One of the best places in the Milwaukee area to get tabletop and boars games! They have a huge stock and their employees are always super kind, knowledgeable and helpful!

Lots of great selection for new hobbyists to the crunchy Euro center of the board game tootsie pop. Glad to see they are still thriving in a traditional mall setting.

So many games, super friendly staff, the staff was able to describe many of the games as well. We were able to pickup a gift and a new boardgame the kids wont stop playing.

It was off the chain had a blast it was on my Bishops birthday so we took them there and the grandkids his sister and brothers was there along with the wife and three to the church members me and Deacon Britt I never been there I heard of it but I never been there Im going to make that my oh man let me tell you the food was awesome I had a chicken sub sandwich with avocado on it and lettuce I think it had cheese but the chicken real breakfast so tender and juicy oh man

This store is a dream. If you like puzzles, table top games, or you are looking for models for d&d, warhammer, or starwars. They have stuff you need. Employees are willing to explain to you how to play a game if you ask. And they also have a place for you to setup and play a game in store. This is one of a small handful of stores like this around and worth taking a look.

Came in for gifts for my nephews and left with wanting to spend way to much money. The person working the floor, wish I could remember his name, walked us through a bunch of gift ideas and I had to resist getting all the different for myself.

If you like board games and hate shopping on Amazon...then these mfers got you covered! The employees are huge dorks (I mean that as a complimentso they have great knowledge on what games would suit you best. Nice layout too....makes good sense.

Passed by the Barrister and decided to give it a walk through and was glad I did. Its a big store, clean as heck with a nice atmosphere and very easy to move through. The inventory is extensive and very neat to look through for a short while. Service was friendly as heck and very helpful to! I didnt get anything but I was happy to walk through the barrister and would again honestly!Picture is of the outside of the building!

They have a really large selection of board games, kids games, puzzles, etc. I really liked how the sections were organized. The store had plenty of room to move around in and even had a few games set up to try. If your near by and like games Id wouldnt miss it. They even have a clearance and used section.

Great organization. Always helpful and knowledgeable. Bummed the Greenfield store had to close with the covid mess but hope enough folks keep visiting to keep them afloat.

Extremely helpful, friendly staff. They explain how to play games as well as have some opened ones that you can try out before buying. Theres also a preferred client program.

The staff here is unbelievable. These guys really have a passion for what they do. They were knowledgeable and BEYOND helpful. I went here on a whim, like eh, Ill see whats in there. but had an experience in customer service I didnt expect. 5 stars bruh.

Able to find an excellent chess game for grandsons upcoming birthday 🎂. The help was the kind I like, " ...if you need help I am available...". Liked it so much I went back to get my own personal book on chess. I have to stay up to speed for an up and coming chess champion ( whenever he challenges me). Wonderful helpful, friendly, polite staff. The handout is helpful also.

Once they reopen after covid and get back to the old days its a great place to have a spontaneous game, or to show up to an event... Prizes are usually really good (for the events)

Great selection of games for literally everyone. My mom found a game she has been looking for and my aunt got some too. The staff was nice and explained a couple of games to them they didnt understand.

This has to be my new favorite store!!! The owner was so nice and we ended up talking about our favorite board games for close to 20 minutes. He gave us a few suggestions which we ended up purchasing and we absolutely loved them! There is a HUGE selection of games, including a couple kickstarter games that can be a little difficult to find. If you like board games or want a cool gift for friends or family, I definitely recommend you stop by!!

Two employees got me, a Magic noob, some free cards and a quick rundown of deck themes in terms I could understand, just before the mall was closing. I had another store to hit.As Im trying to check out, someone Im assuming is the manager "corrected" (mansplainedthe female employees simple explanation into terms I didnt understand, though more towards her than me, the one who was asking. Im trying to check out but everyones trying not to interrupt the probably-manager as times ticking away.So the employees were great and I had a wonderful experience at first, but felt overwhelmed and gatekept and slightly uneasy at the probably-managers mansplaining that left me little time to shop elsewhere.

This store had everything I was looking for and more!! Not to mention knowledgeable staff members who were eager to make sure I left with what I was looking for! Instead of the usually people that just want you to spend money! Ill definitely be returning there to pick up more items! 🙏🏽

I have never been helped so much in my entire life. You cant walk 2 steps in this store without someone forcing their assistance on you. They have every game you can think of. And they seem to have played every game in store as well. Including all the kids games. Very knowledgeable.

This is our favorite place to look at new games! Unfortunately we live in Chicago, so we visit when we can, but they also have game nights for D&D! Ask the staff there about those events cause they sound like they are a lot of fun!

Great spot to browse and find excellent games! Anthony was extremely helpful by listening to us as we talked about games we have enjoyed in the past. From that he was able to make helpful suggestions for games that we might like. It was clear he was passionate about the games he was suggesting and could explain what made them special. It was a great experience and looking forward to playing our new game and returning to Barristers for more!

I had an absolutely lovely time here. Initially went in to browse their Dungeons & Dragons goods and got caught up in conversation with two cashiers about the game. They were both very lively and gave some information about some local shops that we could have been interested in. I will for sure be coming back to make more purchases because of the employees. Top notch job.

Had a pretty good variety of stuff, wish they had a better way to display the wizkids and reaper bones miniatures. Its on these two small turning racks and its just annoying. You have to take off almost all the minis just to see what they have in stock. Time consuming and a bit lazy for the store to make the customer do this in my opinion!

This store offers an excellent array of board games, dice games, puzzles, party games, role-playing games and more. The staff is quite helpful and knowledgable, able to recommend any number of games depending on what youre looking for, from personal experience with them. There is no doubt that you will find something to enjoy. Additionally they host Magic tournaments, and offer space for gaming for only a small fee. I happily spend too much money here. Not to say that the prices are too high, but the selection always piques my interest.

My boyfriend and I always love going in here. We are huge D&D fans and he loves Magic the Gathering. These guys usually host a MTG draft night and they also host D&D dungeon crawl sessions. Great place for the family and they have a variety of games for sale.

Really cant beat the customer service here. Everyone is always so nice! Ive gone during the day and on busy weekends and they always have staff genuinely excited to help.The childrens toys are really nice and fairly priced. No obnoxious flashy toys, all toys that make kids think.Tons of puzzles and just about every game you can think of.Dont know what youd like? Or getting a gift? I really cant say enough good things about the staff, they will absolutely help you find what you need.

Interesting but ultimately smaller selection. Good place to look around, but youll likely find the same things for less online.They appear to hold Magic the Gathering events here.
