Blunts Point Battery - Monument in Pago Pago, American Samoa
The view is well worth the climb. The hike is a bit on the demanding side, but not brutal if you are used to hills. The old gun emplacement is pretty well preserved.
If you are looking for a nice little hike with some beautiful historic sights and amazing views, this is the place for you.
The hiking trails were really something. Outdoor exploration. Its really high though. So, be prepare to have a water with you. In keeping you hydrated.
A moderate hike with nice views from near the highest gun location. Most of the hike is on an old road that leads up to the water tower. Park across the road in the small lot and walk behind the laundromat. Start of trail is marked by a sign. After a short climb, go around the water tower to the left to find the steps to the first cannon placement. There are also wooden steps up to the second cannon. Trail is not marked, but is cleared. Cannons have been repainted by an eagle scout,
Moderate hike. Nice views from one of the cannons.
Great hike with limited views. Lot of native birds and the hike is moderate (hot, some elevation and slippery in areas). Hard to find the start/stop points and it is not marked. Many relic condition bunkers and one large gun.
Beautiful view
