39-acre forested park featuring a variety of rugged hiking & biking trails & scenic ridge views.
This is nice for the location. Good place for a brief hike through the woods. It doesnt quite feel like an "escape" per se as you are always within close proximity to either a major roadway or residential areas but it is a nice little park nonetheless.
Pretty scenic.
A nice place to walk through, with a lot of hills to get a decent workout in.
Small ish with slot of hills
Nice park with easy access. I recommend downloading the map for Ann Arbor natural areas to have a sense where you are when in there
Great area to commune with nature.
I love this place it is beautiful🌹❤️
Most of the "paths" or "trails" dont exist anymore.
Beautiful area for a busy place as it is.
Nice park.
Nice urban park. Nice views
Beautiful and serine, really takes you away from the city life
peaceful nice for walks
Beautiful! I had no idea this was here. Gorgeous woods, some open spaces all hidden away. If it was not for a Geocache. I may never have visited. The hills are rather challenging but the views are worth it. Consider connecting a visit to the old girl Scout camp, Bird Hills and Baron Pond nature areas. It will be a very nice hike.
Great park, very few people on the trails, and some nice elevation changes. best park for trail running in Ann Arbor. Make sure you have a GPS/phone, or an old fashion map of the park, because it will be very hard to find your way otherwise. The north entrance is not well marked, and possibly on a private property (medical office or something similar, never had any issue).
I go here often so I know my way around but I agree with others that it is hard to make your way around. It is bordered by Orkney Rd, the Catholic cemetery on Sunset, Huron View Blvd & N Main St. Its got some beautiful views across the river valley & if it werent for the sound of traffic you would never know youre in Ann Arbor. Ive seen fox, deer, a coyote (only once), opossum, raccoon & other creatures here. The Prairie on the south end of the park is amazing. Enjoy the park but leave your GPS on 😉
Gorgeous oak hickory Forest with a nice prairie in the middle. Please do not have campfires here. It kills the plants and microbes in the ground underneath.
Great park with lots of trails. Only downside is that there is no map of the trails and none are included on google maps. Trails also are not marked so hard to find your way around in winter snow unless someone else came before you.
A really nice surprise to find this park. Great for running. Has some nice altitude gain and small side paths through forest.
