Awesome place for the whole family, rarely crowded, lots of shady places to sit and can always find a parking spot.

Perfect place to be on with family during hot summer. Seperate pools for kids and adults. Neat and clean. Lots of shaded areas with benches and chairs.

A wonderful fun place. A good swim, clean change rooms and toilets. Well balance ph and chemicals. AND great staff on hand.

With a very warm welcome water temperature of 20.3°, the is the best place to come and relax, or bring the kids and let the have some fun. And the best thing is that its FREE. The water is clean and the grounds are well maintained. We went and spent a couple hours in the water just paddling around and relaxing in the shallow waters. We didnt bring the kids this time but these is heaps there for them to do.

Great place to visit with the kids. Relax in the water or shaded seating whilst the kids enjoy the new kids corner and paddle pool.

Clean water to bring your family to plenty of room to social distinceing Life Guards always watching out for swimmers and the baby pool plenty of shade on a hot day.

This place is great for all ages. Very clean and tidy at all times, the cafe is good value

Lovely little spot in Mackay for a splash and a play for the kids. Lifeguards arent babysitters is a huge reminder.Slide is only open certain hours and they refurbished the splash pad to not include kiddy slides. Lovely space for it regardless and a decent amount of shade in the umbrellas and shadecloth areas in toddler pool.

Wow, even better than I could have imagined. The absolute perfect place to cool off from the Mackay sun! Free entry, large lagoon with awesome slide for kids that provides hours of fun. Smaller splash pad adjacent to lagoon with a third water area at the top of the slide. Lifeguards everywhere so it is well monitored. The cafe is good but could do with having a bit more variety. Has great shaded area although with the sun and heat they probably could do with more. That aside this place is two thumbs up from me.

I remember going here as a kids and absolutely loving it! One time the staff weren’t helpful but 9/10 you’ll get good service. Get place to bring kids on a hot day and even for the adults there is more than enough to do.

Great place for families and everyone, there are everything that you need here and is free!!! There is a cafe (very good coffeeand some food also there is a small place for kids enclose with toys, everything is prepared for you to enjoy this place!!!!

It wasnt open when we went, so it gets 2 stars. That said, it looks like a great place once it fully reopens, so Ill amend the review then.

Go here weekdays in the summer and you get to have a complimentary side of high school kids swimming with their teacher. Only downside is I got stuck in the slide on the way down and kids kept coming and pushing me, must admit that is the most affection I have gotten since Sheryl left :(. Advice would be to make the slide more accessible to people who are voluptuous.

Fabulous park for kids and couldnt believe it was FREE! The staff were super lovely and it was practically empty on a 25 degree Friday. Great spot to spend a few hours splashing about with the kids!

The Bluewater Lagoon has a lovely park-like setting. Lifeguards are always on duty and there is a fun shallow area for the smaller children as well as pools to suit teens and adults. There is a good cafe on site, plenty of parking and the venue is in a convenient central location.

Great place to take young kids. Could easily spend the whole day there. Kiosk has a good selection of food and drinks and staff were friendly too.

Great spot to cool down, lifeguards and a waterslide for the kids. Only complaint is that theres no shade anywhere in the water - bring a hat and sunnies!

Wonderful day out, slightly disappointed that we had to evacuate pool due to Health and Safety concerns but staff conveyed message quickly and effectively for the benefit of all patrons. Situation controlled very professionally so cleaning could commence immediately.

Best place EVER. Feels like youre in paradise. Great for kids and adults alike. The pool is an amazing temperature, shaded seating areas provided on the grass. A slide for kids but is only open when busy. A shaded water playground area for little ones. An upper lagoon but it only opens when really busy. Easy to park and get to, and best of all, ITS FREE!!

An incredible, free community facility for all ages, all abilities and a beautiful location with really friendly staff. Fabulous kids zone and resort style surrounds of the upper level deep pool and lower level wading lagoon. Theres even a great slide from the upper level into the lagoon!

Great family fun and its free!!Water slide was a hit with adults and children in our family. Change facilities and toilets seem well maintained.

Took my boys and their cousins here today and everybody had such a great time. Facilities were so clean and lovely. Will definitely be back again soon.

Such a great place to hang out for the day with the family. A variety of pools to cater for everyone, lots of shady spaces to relax, and clean amenities. The chips at the little cafe were really tasty too and a decent size!

Great park with awesome kids play pool and slide for the bigger kids. Really lovely for a day out to cool off! Enough shaded areas but always busy! Good facilities and cafe.

AGreR family free day out on a hot day

well we loved this place. its free. always go during the week and its rarely busy. always clean and litter free, onsite kiosk, toilets and change rooms, showers. covered areas and open grassed sites. kids splash area next to the kiddies slide and bucket. massive area to swim in for adults and teenagers with waterfalls. Always friendly staff and lifeguards who will do anything for you.

Great water park. Needs more shaded spots for familys to sit. Restrooms/change rooms need a good clean out as the stunk so bad

It’s the first time we’ve visited a lagoon like this and we were super surprised to see how well managed and presented it is.The pools are very clean and you actually feel more like you’re in a large hotel pool rather than a Council run facility.There’s plenty for kids in the way of slides and splash areas.Also lots of places offering shade away from the intense sunshine.Would recommend.

Its free entry and an excellent facility. Next door to major shopping centre with Timezone close by so makes for a great day with kids in Summer. Parents can get their shopping done while the kids are kept amused (provided they are appropriately supervised).

My family of 8 went to Bluewater Lagoon recently, and had a lovely time. Its the middle of winter, so we didnt go swimming, but still enjoyed wading in the water. The pools look beautiful, and the area has plenty of picnic tables. We brought a picnic, then went to the nearby park to play. The area is great for kids, with a water playground, and pools of different depths, so we would definitely come back to go swimming.

Love the place, eventho its free, its clean and not over crowded. Visited on winter, water too cold tho ❄❄

It a great place to calm and cool down. Also children love that place to have fun and enjoying playing inside the pools and at the water playground. The opening hours are good.. even so in summer an hour longer might be nice. :-)

Travelled from Townsville to meet family from Rockhampton for a few hours before school goes back. Best idea ever!!

Great lagoon and free. Facilities great parking near by. Sites could of been better but for free you cant complain.

Its always clean, beautiful views. A great place for a family bbq or day out. Kids play areas are safe and look like fun.
