Melbourne-inspired coffeeshop offering Australian-style espresso drinks & cafe fare all day.
I have never seen to staff members be so unprofessional. Breakfast took WAY too long, we waited half an hour for 2 toasts and pre-packed yoghurt. Given that fact, it is way too overpriced
Excellent little cafe that labels itself as “Melbourne”, justifiably so as the long black and flat white coffees were real Southern Hemisphere quality. The avocado smash with chilli, feta and prosciutto, served healthily on dense granary toast was a great start to the day. The peanut butter toast with fresh strawberries was also delightfullyreceived. We’ll worth a return visit!!
This is amount of salmon you’ll get , tiniest cut ever 🥹 what a joke . Coffee is good tho
Best coffee! Their oat milk lattes make my morning better and the service is always quick and friendly
Overall this place is fine (used to be greatoverpriced for to-go items. And you shouldn’t sell made to order food items if you don’t have the resources or staffing to do so (anything that’s not a cold pastry takes 15 mins plus).
I came in and had to wait 15 min to place an order, mind you I was the only one at the counter. Waited 30-45 min just to receive the wrong order, not even an apology was given and this was by the team captain. I understand its busy, but just having simple courtesy and manners for your customers would be nice.
First time passing by the store I can say this was the most amazing experience I’ve had. Very welcoming employees and the quality of my drink was spectacular! Definitely will be back !
Chai pudding was delicious and filling, keen smoothis was great, excellent service and will definitely come back!
Coffee was delicious, bathroom clean. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Busy but they moved everyone along. Def going to be a stop again when in nyc
I felt like we went there to fight them. She responded to my first question “WHAT” in a bad temper. When I attempted to correct a mistake on my order, she said it was too late and told me I should have ordered correct. It wasn’t even an item of extra charge and can be added easily. And later, after I finish my meal, she said “I got you” and delivered the missing item.I paid for 50 for a couple of non through toasted breads and a bad treatment.
The rudest coffee shop workers in the city. They gave me the wrong order and accused me of lying. Just go to blue bottle where they’ll get your order right and be polite.
Bluestone was a 10 but they still served me the overcooked burrito 🌯
One of my favorite spots in the city to grab coffee and small bite to eat. Their lattes are out if this world, especially the flat white. Banana bread to die for, so tasty. The avocado toast with salmon so good for light dinner. I try to make a stop when in this awesome location.
Incredibly slow: took 17 mins to make 3 coffees on a Sunday morning when we were the only customers waiting for drinks. On top of that overcharged me for an extra espresso shot
Honestly the experience was a mess. And there was a rotting banana in a pool of its own seepage on the counter. Yikes. Drink is decent? But also not what I ordered.
Latte was trash, probably one of the worst I’ve had. Wasn’t hot, and the foam took up over half the cup. They croissant was good, but not the place for coffee.
Great coffee. Good flat white. Wasnt a fan of the attitude when only 2 out of the 3 coffees ordered were provided, and when followed up was told we got them all (only to learn we didnt).
If I could give zero I would, so rude, asked to pay with cash, was berated for trying, no sign up to say no cash, "just give me the card so I can get on with the order".. I was told ...I even asked the server to repeat what hed said ..he said exactly the same.. I told him to leave it and we left...Ive worked in catering for 20 years. .if I did this Id be fired.. get new staff ... disgusted to say the least
busy hours in weekday afternoon there’s only one person taking order and making coffee. She prioritized orders after me. I called her out and she basically told me just because their order is simpler (hot coffeethan mine (a hot latte). She kept doing so to service others for pastries and kept me waiting. So this is telling me to not order hot coffee at a coffee shop? Then she gave me bad attitude and was sloppy spilled my coffee. Messy operation and management. My office is close but I’ll never go back. So many better options, why bother to deal with such terrible experience🙄
The people working here really cool whenever I need to over caffeinate myself. I come here in the morning and before I look up for my desk at 6:00 p.m. I would much prefer the music that we listen to prior to opening more of a hip hop genre to the cheeky rock that plays all day. Remember its all about magic City
7.5$ for a tor a toast and they didn’t even put a whole strawberry, are you kidding me? Definitely Won’t buy again
Cute Australian coffee chain. I had the iced mocha and it was delicious. Some seating here which can get occupied quick. Must try! Came back to try cold brew float, chocolate float and flat white. All were delicious.
The worst service I have ever received in a coffee shop. Did not acknowledge I existed standing at the counter as he wandered around making door dash orders incredibly slowly. Then once order was made took 10 mins to make the coffee. I rarely am moved to write reviews but this was so so so bad.
I really enjoyed spending some time a few weeks ago at this little coffee shop. The service was so good and my flat white and blueberry muffin were delicious. They have a very small indoor seating area but my party made it work.
Great coffee great breakfast sandwiches, a little slow moving possibly due to the fact theres no menus upon walking in. Theyre located at the front of the line. If youre a regular and know what you like should be smooth, but slower for first timers. 4 stars for the food and beverages.
It’s ok. Environment is good. Avocado is from the refrigerator directly I guess. I am not picky to a cafe shop that I always just assume not for real good breakfast. The only thing I don’t understand why there is no price on the menu, even if I don’t really care that much. People should always see price on the menu.
Great food, great coffee, great service, a nice place for a simple lovely breakfast
I ordered the avocado toast with the lot and without. Both were goooood😋😋
I really like this Australian coffee shop chain aka bluestone lane because I can have gluten free avocado toast with poached eggs which I love. They have indoor seating but they don’t offer table service and the food is served on plastic boxes (I wish they didn’t. Plates would have been better). The avocado toast had too much black pepper on it and in need for salt (which I have asked for ).
There was only one screen to order. The employees was doing the coffees and food for the costumers with out interrelate with the costumes. With this exception of calling by the name of the customer and leave the coffee in a table to go.The technology experience of this place is poor. The layout of the app its not user friendly so it make it the order slow and the line is huge not in a rush hour that does not makes any sense for a cafe in New York City! The avocado toast with Lots was good.Coffee was fine. The human experience in a cafe makes a big difference.
One of the best avocado toasts I have ever had! We got the regular avocado toast and added feta cheese. (Mini snowman not included! ☃️).
Arguably the best coffee in NYC, Bluestone is always a safe bet for strong, well made espresso based drinks. This one is now (Oct 2020doing limited indoor dining and its worth it for the snacks. The croissants with fillings are delicious and the box they come in is ingenious.
This became our go to coffee shop. Oat milk options, cold pressed juice and avocado toast for breakfast- great Aussie place, they even have vegemite!
We ordered two toasts and got additional salmon sandwich which was so nice, thank you! Toasts tasted so gooood and and sandwich was good, personally not really a fan of salmon served with bread. It was saturday morning, filling up w people as time goes by. Quite spacious and staffs were kind! Near to Bryant part!
Casual coffee place, perfect for a quick bit to eatEven though it was busy the service was quickI particularly like the 🥑 on toastWill come back here for sure
The place is cute and clean inside. At 3:30 it wasnt too crowded. The salmon toast was fresh and tasty. I just wish they would use a less cartoon for a pack. Also, the toast was cut in a half but salmon on top of it wasnt.
We had an affogato (coffee and espressoand lemon loaf. It was good but it took us a long time to find the place. There is construction at that plaza where its supposed to be. The new location is just across the street next to FedEd.
Nice alternative to Starbucks! This location, located at the rear of the “glass cube” in Grace Plaza, allows for outdoor seating when the weather is good. Friendly staff as well.
Excellent coffee and great quality breakfast and cakes. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is very good.
I stopped here yesterday for an afternoon pick me up- this spot is really cute! It’s got a fresh Australian vibe, and they played great music. There’s not a whole lot of seating and they don’t offer wifi, so I recommend grabbing coffee/ food to go. I had the golden latte and an almond goji berry ball- both were good!
Beautiful location with lots of light and plenty of outdoor sitting. My latte was amazingly delicious and absolutely gorgeous. My husband couldn’t say enough good things about his mocha. The foam was silky and smooth. Barista was very friendly and did an amazing job with both drinks.
Not really a coffee drinker, but there are variety to choose from. Lines can get long especially during the morning rush. There is a nice outdoor seating area and surprisingly tables are always available. Only drawback is that they dont accept cash.
Another great Australian style coffee outlet in the big apple. They use a different blend from the other purveyors we have sampled while here but its smooth and goes down well. This space has limited indoor seating but there is nearby seating outside.Youre looking at a bite sized menu or light breakfast with only a handful of options. Each are tasty but this isnt a filling lunch stop.Prices are slightly cheaper than some of their Australian style rivals. Be warned though the queue spikes in size quite rapidly (but thats also a ringing endorsement).4.5stars would brew again
Ok I know I’m an Aussie coffee snob, but good to find a decent coffee in NYC, even if they don’t accept actual money (levelup or card only). And nice to see a pic of Bondi beach on the wall. Great job guys!
The avocado toast was amazing and their piccolo is the smoothest espresso drink Ive had in a long time. Definitely recommend for a quick breakfast or snack if youre in the area.
Nice hot chocolate and salmon toast. I added the avocado spread which is good. I think they put too much lemon juice on it thou. Also this cafe is not so environmental-friendly that even when you dine in, the toast is packed in a box and the drink is served in paper cups. Even thou the box does look nice. Nonetheless its a nice cafe.
The banana toast was so perfect and delicious. I also love the on the go boxes. They arent crazy fast for a to go style place, but Id go again and again for the taste. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a healthy small breakfast or a quick coffee.
As an Aussie living in USA I like to sample Aussie themed places. Good coffee and the bread on the avocado toast amazing. They also have flavored drinks with iconic Aussie suburbs and town names on them.Vegemite and Milo were on off too, see in background of photo.
We are in town for the weekend and love exploring new coffee shops. Brittany took our order and was so helpful and patient when we were asking too many questions. We didnt even realize the line had grown behind us, she never made us feel rushed. She recommended her favorite drink for me and it is amazing. Great little coffee shop to come to.
I wouldve given 4 stars because of the great tasting coffee, juice, and avo smash. However I have awarded 3 stars for the service for the following reasons:- I had ordered and paid for two 12 oz flat whites, 8 oz were made and the barista argued that I ordered 8 oz. They then relented after consulting a colleague and made me the 12 oz.- when ordering food and drink, its hard to know which counter to approach when your name is called.- the juices were overpriced at $9 for a small bottle.
