Blue Willow Tea Room - Tea room in Petersburg, United States
I love this place. They have an awesome selection of tea and I LOVE The little sandwiches. They usually have really good soups and desserts here too.
LOVE this place! It’s definitely my go-to for hosting my tea parties and just a Saturday morning tea brunch.Amazing staff.
Loved it..friendly staff. Food very good..I ate the whole Victorian Tea selection.
Amazing. Great food, atmosphere, & people. We will definitely do this again.
I am a local with Petersburg I moved away from recently returned. My mother wanted to go antiquing and looking at some of the shops in Old Town when we stumbled upon Blue Willow Tea Room. We went in the door for all the beautiful antiques and jewelry were. We bought a couple of things and kept walking through the shop and discovered the tea room. We were greeted warmly and asked if we would like the sit. It was such an unexpected delight! We had a lovely time! I discovered I like cinnamon tea and the desserts were fantastic!
The sandwiches were all delicious, the scones were great, the teas were all wonderful. The service was super kind, will definitely be going back for more!
Always a wonderful experience. Great food & service!
I had a very pleasant experience here. Service was delightful, tea was amazing, and food was great. I will definitely be returning.
Quaint. Elegant. Good atmosphere. Good food. Excellent service. Will go back for a 3rd time..
This was the most intricately charming and delicately pleasing event of my 7th anniversary celebration! It was like stepping into the books of ones princess and galant knight or castle and kingdom fantasies, full of beauty and charm and whimsical dreaminess and delightful comraderie! The theme fitting tea was delicate and unique in its aromas and also carefully achieved rich flavored with an enticing texture experience of smooth silk. We couldnt order enough! My top two favorites were strawberry chocolate and Carmel vanilla. The scones were incredible and the lay out and display of the food was something of a dream in its delightful precision. The dainties and tasty food made me feel the part of a victorian novel of regal posture and elegant character of kind company. This restaurant has a ambiance that is unmatched with a theme that is expertly delivered in a laid back elegance that made me feel like the queen was delighted to have tea with me! The food, the service, the elegance and carefully placed elaborate decor, the incredible people... All genuine and kind and observant with amazing service.. and oh! The antique shop connected to the restaurant just kept me on my toes and simply enraptured me! They have details on the tags so you know what your looking at.. even dates and the prices are incredibly low for such rare and unique treasures! I left feeling I had gained an education and greater appreciation in antiques, and the genuine and kind nature of the owners and staff left me feeling like I had made friends at my lunch in a castle. ;I cannot wait to come have "tea" again!
Great spot for tea! If you have never done Victorian Tea, you really have to try it! Great food, sweets, and, of course, tea!
Lots of fun and plenty of choices of tea. We had a good size party in our group and the ladies that worked there were kind, sweet, helpful, and fun to be around. Definitely going to go back.
Very awesome atmosphere and nice staff. The full tea service and fruit and cheese plates were yummy. Also had the gumbo which was delicious as well. Definitely recommend!
Unbelievable. Beautifully decorated. Super kind Manger. Prompt and detailed service. A wonderful place to enjoy coffee, tea, wine, scones, and substantive conversation. Personifies and embodies what "Old Town" Petersburg should truly be: nostalgic.
Great service, wonderful food, and fabulous tea! (And I dont usually drink tea.Really appreciated that they had several decaf tea flavors available. Also great atmosphere with many wonderful antiques on display. Would definitely recommend to others.
Such a fun first tea with close friends! Quaint atmosphere, yummy bites and hands down the best waitress in the business! She made the experience extraordinary!
We love this place. My 99 year old mother, Agnes, who hails from Scotland frequents it as much as she can. Christy gives first rate service and the food is wonderful!
Beautiful place for an afternoon tea! It is always a favorite for us! Service is phenomenal! And food is spectacular. Tea selection is amazing! It feels like home!
Very quaint place to have a delicious lunch and enjoy some unique and tasty tea. The service was top notch and they had a variety of food selections and tea. Had a wonderful time with my daughter whom suggested we come here. ❤ I give the entire experience 5 stars. There is also an antique gift shop and a section to buy some tea, jam and other items. Put this one on your bucket list and you wont be disappointed.
We had the full tea service and it was excellent. The staff was lovely, as was the atmosphere and food. I would highly recommend.
This was a nice, quaint little shop. The tea options were very good. I didnt care much for the sandwiches but that is just personal preference. The waitress there was more than willing to work something out to accommodate my tastes. My companion enjoyed the sandwiches, so I believe they were good.I didnt realize that the desserts change. The day we went was death by chocolate. There was fruit, chocolate chip cookies, chocolate cake, and chocolate cheesecake. It was all fine. Im not a huge fan of chocolate stuff so my experience could have been better overall. I dont blame the shop for my personal tastes.I recommend that anyone going asks ahead of time what desserts, soups, and sandwiches are being offered so that you can make sure youll like what theyre serving. Id never been there, so I didnt know that the menu changed from day to day. Now, I know. Ill definitely try it again, keeping these things in mind.
Blue Willow is the perfect place for a Bridal Shower!!! Staff is super friendly and helpful. The food and tea are delicious. I have been to Blue Willow several times now and each time is so enjoyable!!!
The Tea Room was absolutely wonderful! The tea sandwiches are delicious and I had a cup of shrimp and corn chowder! I will definitely get that again. The service was delightful. I cant wait to go back!!
The most underrated little spot in Petersburg. Amazing food, tea and people. Good spot to unwind with a friend or a date with your loved one! I was so amazed! We will be back soon and often!
Always a pleasant experience! Delicious teas and wonderful staff!
Oh this place!! Its just BEAUTIFUL, with such a friendly, laid back atmosphere. If youre a tea lover, currently they have a Holiday Delight tea, which is black tea, clover, and orange peel... Its DELICIOUS. I also love to order the tower of treats which is plenty to share with 2-3 people. The soups are always delectable, I just tried the 3 bean blend, which truly is a lot like a chili but creamier. I would suggest to always call ahead of time to make a reservation for a party of 2+ guests as the seating room is small and can only accommodate up to 30 people when maxed out (and without COVID restrictions). If youre not familiar with this place, let me tell you, there are 3 floors of antiques to walk around and look. Everything is beautifully decorated. The staff is also amazing. 5-star down on everything!!
Took my 4 year old granddaughter here the day after her birthday after promising her a"tea party." She LOVED it and drank the English Rose tea right along with us. Kirsty made sure it was fun for her even bringing her cups of ice to cool her tea. She wants to go back. My friend, Beverley Coleman, who joined us, had never been there before but also wants to go back. Its a great place for a relaxing lunch as well.
My sister and I decided to come here for a little sister date this afternoon and we LOVED it! The atmosphere is super cute; a mix of antiques and vintage charm. I did call ahead and make reservations; though they arent required. Everything was nicely spread out and the server wore her mask the whole time. The tea selection was great and the server had great recommendations on what to order for 2 people to split. We had the full afternoon tea and it was amazing! The strawberry chocolate tea was delicious and the assorted sandwiches, pastries and fruit paired very nicely. They also have other options if youre feeling wine and cheese or lighter food. We will definitely back!
OMG...what a great experience. Service was outstanding. We had a real British experience high tea... scones, cream, jam, finger sandwiches, soup, all included for only $30 plus tax and tip.yum, yum, and more yum.Not too pricey...do this for yourself as s wonderful treat!
My fiancee and I had a wonderful time from start to finish. We had their full English tea option, and we had a difficult time eating it all with just the two of us! Everything was fresh and tasty. Well definitely return.
Brought my best friend here last year for her birthday. The atmosphere was perfect. Nice to have a great conversation without noise. Food choices great and taste fantastic. The presentation was so lovely. Just the interior of the restaurant was a nostalgic feast for the eyes. Loved the antique shop next door also. Have come back several times since then. Hope you’ll check this very inviting place out for yourselves.
Very friendly staff & there is a nice antique shop right next door. My scones were served cold. Street parking.
Delicious! Our Redhats enjoyed meeting here. Everyone was very helpful. Atmosphere was great.
This tea room was such an amazing find! The food was delicious and the ambiance as charming as can be! The only very minor fault I would find (and it almost seems petty to mention itis that the service is a tad brusque and casual. It doesnt really jibe with what one would expect from such an elegant establishment and that may bother some people...? My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stop, though, and would definitely stop again if we were in the area!
Homely environment that feels fancy, complimented by the family like wait service and the delicious home cooked meal feeling. Prices might seem a little higher than you expect, but it is well worth it for both the quality and experience. Highly recommend for those who want to take their older family out.
One of my favorite places. Wonderful English tea service. Delicious food and lovely tea selections all in a charming setting. Its small so make reservations on the weekends. Be sure to visit the antique shop that ajoins the dinning room before leaving
Absolutely wonderful! Went to visit the great antique shop next door (part of the restaurantand discovered the tea room. It was late in the evening, so I returned the next day by myself. The waitress recommended the wedding tea with some sandwiches and scones. Honestly, the tea was fantastic and I ate all the delicious food that she brought, which was quite a bit. The atmosphere makes you feel like you are in a tea room somewhere in England and you never feel alone, because everybody is so friendly! Also, when I was there, two sisters and a toddler came in. I think the toddler had more fun than all of us playing tea time! Would strongly recommend a stop here for a nice relaxing afternoon!
Been here about 5 times now. Every single time was something special. It is more than a place to eat. It is a feeling of elegance and days gone by. It is truly the perfect place for the gals to have a girly day. Cant wait to go again.
The staff really knows teas. Our waitress made a selection for me since I really dont drink tea and she was spot on with her selection for me. Its a step back in time and if youre looking for something different to try, this is definitely a must.
I really wanted to like this tea house, its got great reviews and seemed like the perfect place for my bridal shower. I went to try it before booking the shower and it just wasnt what I was looking for. I felt a little pressured to make certain menu choices and they didnt even have cucumber sandwiches. I did a high tea party at my moms home instead for my shower. I think it might be better for more casual get togethers.
I recently hosted a baby shower for 14 women at Blue Willow. The staff was absolutely amazing. Our group thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon talking and catching up in a beautiful setting. If you are hosting a shower and need somewhere that will take care of every detail, this is the place! Kiersten checked in with me a few times during the planning process and all we had to do was show up and enjoy. Great job, Blue Willow. Can’t wait to come back again soon!
Wonderful experience at this pearl in old town Petersburg. Went out with my best friend for our weekly lunch and talk. We like to explore places that are pleasant to the soul as well as the palate. The tea sandwich sampler was a delight but it was the dutch chocolate mousse cake that truly made me believe I was in heaven (yes it was that good!!!). This old townhouse functions both as a tea house and as an antiques store with several rooms to browse through on the bottom and the top floors with all kinds of treasures. Will definitely be back!!!!
I’ve passed by the tea room so many times on my way to work and always wanted to go in, lucky for me it finally happened! I went to my cousin’s baby shower this past weekend (which she hosted hereand was surprised at how something that would probably look so tiny on another day could fit and accommodate so many people at once. The tea was delicious (I would recommend the lemon chiffon or the English roseand the staff was friendly, fast, efficient, and made this special day go smoother. The tea room itself was beautiful and relaxing and I will have to return on another day. If you’re also into antiques and jewelry, you will find a vast store to the left of the counter.
My girlfriend and I had lunch here. We stayed for 2 or 3 hours catching up with girl time. The tea and finger foods were delicious. The decor was beautiful, and the staff was delightful. A pleasurable experience! We will definitely return!
Delightful. Absolutely lovely. Great services and old fashioned atmosphere. $3.25 for a pot of tea
Amazing place! I definitely recommend it to anyone who has had the pleasure of experiencing afternoon tea in Europe, or to anyone who hasnt but wants to see what it is like. It took my wife and I right back to Ireland where we had a real afternoon tea for the first time.
First visit. More than enough food with the full tower ordered for 2-3 people. I enjoyed the cinnamon tea, but could not put cream in which I like. Dareeling tea not as good as my own, but wonderful time with friends and family. Recommend, and would definitely go back.
August 27, 2016 We celebrated with the Bride and her Attendants at this lovely and cozy tea room. The staff were so easy to work with during the planning process and were extremely polite, friendly and patient the day of the tea. The food was quite tasty and there was a wide variety of tea flavors to choose from.We had a wonderful time and were allowed to take as much time as we needed. All ages enjoyed the time at the tea room and we are planning to go back for another tea.
My mom and I recently hosted a bridesmaid luncheon for my wedding at the Blue Willow Tea Room. It was by far one of my favorite wedding related events. The food, staff, and venue all made for such a joyous and relaxing day. We have already made plans to return regularly! I highly recommend them for a delightful lunch or afternoon with friends and family!
My mother chose Blue Willow as the location for our early Mothers Day Tea. The place is beautiful and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. The full afternoon tea option is great! Love their selection of teas and the food is amazing. After a nice tea you should roam around the antique store located next door. I fell in love.
