Blue Sky Adventures in Glenwood Springs

My dad and I had a great time on the half day mild raft adventure. It was a relaxing trip and the scenery was epic. Hannah was a fantastic guide (much better than Emily!). She told us and the others interesting facts about the area and stopped at a cool hot spring along the way. I definitely recommend and will be taking another trip with Blue Sky if I am ever back in Glenwood Springs.Disclaimer: Dont actually know if there is an Emily that works here---if so, sorry, Im sure youre a fantastic guide as well. We were told to blame you if we had a bad time :)

What a great experience! This is my second time booking with Blue Sky Adventures and I will definitely be back for a third. Our first adventure was rafting & it was outstanding. Our raft guide Josh was so fun!! He told amazing jokes and let us spin around in the raft, and was just a joy to raft with. Would definitely recommend if you are in the area. :)

Excellent place to rent a bike for the hour or day. The staff was very helpful and assured everything was good with us before they let us ride off.We rode up and down the canyon. It read an enjoyable way to spend a few hours.

Had a very good time my first time rafting. Beautiful scenery and very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Jake was an awesome guide!

We rented e bikes for the day and they were great, especially on the hills. We also did the rafting. Our guide, Kat, was awesome. The water level wasnt great so we only briefly had a Cat 3, then 2, and finally 1. We barely had our oars in the water for the last 2/3 of the trip. In spite of the low water level, Kat made it fun by pointing things out, answering questions, and just having a good conversation with us.

Wow! Visiting from Hawaii...I did not think River Rafting & Kayaking could hold a candle to Ocean Activities. I was mistaken!GREAT FUN! GREAT TEAM... GOOD GEAR! DONT HESITATE! DO THE HALF DAY! You wont regret it!

What an amazing experience! The entire team made us feel very safe and we enjoyed every minute of our trip, even in the rain! Our guide Josh wont make it as a comedian but thankfully hes a tour guide instead! Lol

We had great experience with Blue Sky. Not only did we rent bikes but we went on a rafting adventure. John was a great guide. He was very entertaining and full of local knowledge.We will definitely use Blue Sky again.

Our whole family rafted and we had a great time. The guides were organized and competent. Eric was our boat guide and was friendly and knowledgeable about our river trip. He pointed out some scenes that could only be seen from the river. It was great!

What a great experience! The Shoshone rapids were perfect for my family. This time of the year the water level is perfect for little ones.(1300 cfs, class threeish). Go earlier in the season for bigger rapids. CatJo did an amazing job guiding us safely down the river. Shes new to being a guide but we couldnt tell until the end of the trip when she disclosed how long shes worked for Blue Sky. They really know how to train newer generations about boat safety and knowledge of the river. 10/10 service and a fun time. Great job and what a great memory this company leaves you with. Cant wait for next time.

We used Blue Sky for a whitewater rafting trip and they were so accommodating and friendly. Our rafting guide, Alec was such a professional and very knowledgeable!!! Highly recommend using Blue Sky!

We rented ebikes and one of our tires popped and they sent someone to our location right away with a replacement bike. Great customer service and super fun bikes!

THEY ARE GOOD! Alec was our raft leader and what a sweetheart. He made the whole experience so much fun and was constantly talking to us about the various caves, mountains, history, wildlife etc that came along the 12 mile ride. He also provided us with suggestions for places to eat, things to do etc. We tried his restaurant suggestion in Glenwood springs and Boulder and both the places where AMAZING!Alec if you read this, god bless you man. May you graduate with flying colors in your aerospace engineering course. The 2 raft leader Alec and the other girl (I forget her namehas envious strength and where full of life.What ever you are doing Blue Sky Adventures- keep doing it. ITS working great!Made life time memories as this was my first rafting experience in the USA.

Recent 3-eBike rental. Mike was simply phenomenal. 11 on a 10 scale. We made a number of calls and a weather-induced last-minute change of plans. No matter to these professionals, they never gave even the slightest hint of anything negative, etc., (and I would have totally understand if they had done that as we had a LOT of questions and funky requests). Don’t think twice, this is a slam-dunk group of knowledgeable, courteous, friendly, and accommodating folks. An extremely well-run organization, you will be thrilled as we were!

Would recommend 10/10. Alec was a great guide and helped every step . The ride was thrilling and one to experience.

Came here right at their closing time on a weekend, did not get the name of the associate that helped us, but he didn’t mind us coming in late and let us rent bikes. Very friendly and knowledgeable, and made a great experience for us. We’ll do business with them again.

Zach is awesome! Over the past several months he helped me with a wedding group of 90 people with bike rentals, ground transportation and other activities. On the day of the event, he showed up with the bikes, helmets, as well as some extras and was responsible for getting a bike ride group off with their e-bike rentals. This place was so fun! We originally booked for 8 people (months agobut ended up with some last minute cancellations due to family emergencies and they were very accommodating!Such a fun rafting experience! I wasn’t sure if I’d like it, but we had a blast! Jake was our guide and he was very nice and knowledgeable! Plus my group of friends and I all graduated from CSU (where he is studyingwhich was so fun. Go rams!

This was THE MOST AMAZING Day spent on the water!! So much fun, perfect weather, great guide Andrew, the rest of my raft crew was a ton of fun, beautiful scenery, what more could you ask for!. Cant wait to do this again!! Going to make it an annual adventure every summer!

My group got a package deal with our hotel and it was honestly one of the funnest experiences I’ve ever had. Our guide Natea was an amazing person to have for this first time on the river! I would definitely recommend everyone try it at least once if ever in Glenwood Springs. I’m coming back for years to come.

We had a wonderful time with Big Sky Adventures. We floated with guide Nick and he was so funny and entertaining. He also had some great tunes and was knowledgeable of all genres. There was something for everyone. Andrew and Jake guided the other two tours and we all enjoyed the banter and comraderie between them. They were all very knowledgeable about the Glenwood history, the river, wildlife and rock features that we saw. Jake gave an indepth safety talk that let us know what to expect. Rafting the Shoshone level 3 rapids was mild enough for young children, but exhilarating for all ages. Followed by a relaxing drift down the Grizzly Creek section, the experience lasted about 2 hours and provided amazing views. It was also mild enough that I was able to take my phone, but I would urge others to do so at their own risk and use waterproof gear. Maddie was amazing! It was my families first white water rafting trip and we loved every second. She kept the trip fun and exciting, pointing out 4 bald eagles which is not an everyday sighting for us San Diegans. Highly recommend this tour and will definitely do it again.

Just finished an awesome half day adventure on the beautiful Colorado River! The whole staff was so nice, informative and friendly. Our guide was Murphy. He kept things moving and interesting with his anecdotes, jokes and stories. Everyone on our raft was very nice and friendly. We all had a great time! We will definitely be back for another adventure!

First time going whitewater rafting and was traveling with my two toddlers. My husband and I decided to do the mild half day adventure. It was mild, scenic and so much fun! I was so nervous as I wasnt quite sure what to expect. We had Andrew as our guide and his humor definitely helped put me at ease! They make safety a top priorty! Would definitely recommend blue sky adventures to anyone on the fence Just do it! Fantastic experience and will likely go for the full experience next time we visit Glenwood!

Our family had a wonderful rafting trip! Our guide was Larry. It was an incredible first time for all of us. He did everything possible to keep out 3 and 6 year old safe, but still offering a fun time! We will definitely be back!

Took my 10 year old grandson for his first ever rafting trip. I chose Blue Sky because the price point was competitive and the reviews very good. Our guide was Ciara, and she was incredible! Her knowledge of rafting made me feel very comfortable having my grandson on board. We all had a blast, I’m already planning on booking another trip and will request Ciara again. Thank you for making me the coolest a Grammy on earth!

We had an awesome trip down the river the morning of June 29, 2021 with Carter. Weather was perfect. Carter had all kinds of info for us. Thank you Carter for the lunch recommendation! Chomps was awesome too. Perfect lunch. We will definitely use Blue Sky in the future as we have done these past 2 times.

We did the river yesterday, I liked that they had a smooth operation getting is all outfitted with life jackets and got us bussed up to the drop off point. During the ride they gave us all the instructions we needed for the river. Once on the river we got to know our great guide Maddie who expertly guided us through all the rocks. There were some pretty impressive maneuvers where Maddie had to spin the boat side ways and back straight again as we threaded between the rocks. It was fun getting splashed through the waves. On the smaller rapids after that we took turns "riding the bull" where a person sits on the front tip of the boat with legs slung over the front and you hang onto a rope (like riding a bull). They also had a photographer on a bike riding a trail along the river taking pictures of us in the rapids that were pretty cool. On the calmer part of the river there was a spot to swim if we wanted and our guide told us lots of cool stories about the river. We all thought Maddie was the best river guide ever so ask for her on your run!

We took an impromptu raft trip down the Colorado River this past Sunday while we were in Glenwood Springs. Our raft guide was Pua, an experienced, warm, hilarious gal who made the trip extra enjoyable. After the first 15 minutes of rapids, the rest of the trip was a pretty chill little float and mini tour of the area. Pua had lots of interesting facts and stories that made the trip fun and entertaining.We also rented electric bikes and biked the 10 miles to Hanging Lake (which luckily we had a permit to hike). It was my first time on an electric bike and it was easy to ride and exciting. Probably goes about 30-40 MPH. Next time we are adventuring in Glenwood Springs, we will definitely be booking with Blue Sky.

My adventure with Blue Sky started in 1983 when I was a young lad. That white water rafting trip was incredible. I revisited BSA in 2021 and had a blast with my family on the Colorado River once again. My kids (7-11took an active part in paddling in the rapids. Our guide John was excellent at maneuvering the raft and friendly offering lots of information about the river and canyon. I think this might be a yearly trip now!

Hit too much traffic to make our afternoon reservation, so we went this AM instead. It was just a perfect river rafting trip.

We happened to walk into Blue Sky Adventures as it was directly across the street from our accomodations, found out they do short river rafting tours (great for people who want to have some fun but yknow, limited fun), made a reservation for next day and it was the best thing we did during our whole trip! We took the tour that first took us through two miles of rapids and our guide Tim knew the course like the back of his hand, was thorough with safety explanations, took the time to learn all of our names, and was generally a cool friendly personable guy who made the experience more than worth it. I highly recommend! Thanks Tim!

This is who you want to raft with in glenwood springs. Super friendly staff, great service, very easy check in. Very clean. Serious about safety, very professional. Fun bus ride too. Our driver Tash got us to the put in with skill and expertise. Our guide Murphy was great and operated at the highest of skill levels through the rapids. Perfect family adventure.

Nick was our tour guide and he made the white water rafting experience awesome! He was funny and I seriously don’t think the experience would have been the same without him! Amazing trip, and an awesome company to do it through! Thanks Nick and Blue Sky!

Incredible day!! We went white water rafting with 6 adults on half day tour. We were 2 1/2 hour on the water...which most of us felt was just enough on the river. The views were amazing and we had Tim as our guide. He was very thorough in explaining what we needed to do for safety and what was expected of us. Tim was knowledgeable and funny...he is super cool. One of the highlights on our trip to Vail.

Went rafting yesterday and had the absolute best time! Everyone at Blue Sky was extremely friendly and very professional, going over all the safety measures in great detail. Murphy was our guide and he was fantastic! He was very enthusiastic about his job and was making everyone laugh. We had a great experience!

Our group had an absolute blast rafting with Brad at Blue Sky. I had never been before and shared my 12 year-old daughters slight apprehension but our day truly could not have been better. Highly recommend!

Rafting is a must do, obviously, but if you want to truly have a great time Blue Sky Adventures is definitely the way to go! The staff is very knowledgeable and will go the extra mile to ensure your time is enjoyable. I did get a little more wet than expected, but hey, thats the name of the game! 12/10 would recommend!

Fantastic Adventure!If you are looking for an adventure in the great outdoors, you must try Blue Sky Adventures. We went on a white water rafting trip that we didnt want to end. Our guide, Maddie, was fantastic pointing out things of interest, local lore and legend, and engaging in fun conversation. Kudos to her expert steering and instruction getting us through the rapids. The adventure is punctuated by the majestic mountains rising above you. Check out Blue Sky Adventures and ask for Maddie for a trip you dont want to end.

My husband & I went yesterday and this was one of the most amazing things we have done here in Colorado! I was super nervous for the rapids and that ended up being my favorite part. All the staff was incredible and worked together wonderfully. Our guide was Abby and she was fantastic! Super down to earth, sweet and made the experience fun for everyone. One of the best experiences here in Colorado!This crew is top notch excellent, you can’t find a better company to book with.Absolutely fantastic, fun adventure! They’re very safety minded, so don’t worry about this being “dangerous”.Our guide David was a super guy; very fun, pleasant, and pointed out plenty of cool noteworthy and historic places along the way. If you go, ask for David! I’ve experienced plenty of employees who it’s just a job to them and they have that basic level of customer service, but he’s genuinely cool and fun.And don’t take the basic adventure, book the half day that includes the Shoshone rapids! You won’t die😄, and it’s a blast.Stop scrolling and book your adventure!

We had a great time rafting. Our guide was awesome. He told us about the river and what we were seeing, and navigated the river expertly. All the rapids when we went were Class 3.
