Really nice, u can enjoy the nature. On weekend u need pay $5 for parking
We hosted our first ever golf event at Blue Rock. I cannot recommend this course enough. It was my first time playing the west course. Not only was the course in great condition but the staff Ashley and Luke made planning our event a breeze. They both responded quickly to all our questions/requests and on the day of the event had everything set up perfectly. Thank you so much! We cannot wait to have our event at Blue Rock again next year.
I do like both of your courses, but PACE OF PLAY. Please have an employee make a lap of the courses once in awhile to check the pace. Id play here more if it wasnt for unmanaged play. Tee time of 9 am, finished at 2:30pm. That is insane. Its happened on either course. Or allow more time between tee times.
Wicked on my score... Challenging for the average player..as in I. Will go back now that I have a better idea of the course. Guess that makes me a gutton bdoe punishment
Not in excellent shape but good shape… Personnel were friendly.Update 8/16. Blue rock loses some stars… 100° weather and not one drop of water on 18 holes. When I complained the response was that they took the water off the course during Covid. They have a big sign that prohibits outside beverages on the course… Go figure. The greens are in great condition however the fairways were spotty… because of a lack of water and care for the golfers… I probably won’t play here again with my golf club.
Played on Sunday course is in good shape and pace was great for a weekend
I had lost my necklace playing on the course the day before and I went back the day after to look for it. I went inside the pro shop and asked the employee wearing a hat if he had seen it and he opened a few drawers and I saw my necklace in one of the drawers and I told him that it was my necklace in the drawer but he denied it. I continued to tell him that it my necklace that I saw in the drawer but he gave me attitude and kicked me out. The service is very bad and need to learn manners.
Beautiful and challenging course, especially in the wind. I’m around a handicap 14 and shot a 92. There are water hazards, trees, OB, big hills and plenty of bunkers. I’d definitely play here again.
Beautiful course and staff is always friendly.
Really nice 36 hole facility. Bunkers were in bad shape but the rest of the course is in good condition. Challenging courses require accuracy to score well. Beautifully set in the Vallejo hills
Thank u so.much for the great time .I do recommend the place ⛳⛳⛳🥰😇🙏🎂🥳🎆🎆🎉🇺🇸💪🕊️🌎celebrate my son bday and hes wish to play golf ⛳🥰
They don’t honor their word. Don’t go to this course because they will stiff you of their money!
Overpriced, trash golf course. Manager will also lie to you and tell you he will give you a voucher to finish your other 9 when you want to come back.
Overpriced golf course. Manager and crew will also lie to you and don’t care about costumer experience. I live in VALLEJO. Really disappointment. Should get honest workers.
Suggestions for the range, make it double decker! Put solar panels on top. Also folks need an accurate yardage for the markers. I enjoy our courses.
Nice course , not overly well organized. My round took almost 6 hours .
Beautiful peacocks walking around the park 🥰many happy child hood memories there
First out, great pace of play. Course in good shape, breakfast burittos were tastey
Great golf course to play. East and west course are well taken care of. The staff are super friendly and helpful. You will have an amazing time playing golf here
Great place to get lit and lose some balls. Need cart girl. But who doesn’t?
This is a nice course, played the east course; Decent shape; Many of the cart paths lead into the next tee box (Watch out!Great local course but I would not travel too far to play this trek; No drinking water on the course
Really nice golf course. Very forgiving for average golf players. The greens are well taken care of.
Having golfed there for over 40 years I was glad to play a round on the west course. Great time during the week. Great shape
We have been trying to get to Blue Rock Springs to play a round for sometime now.And it was very well worth the drive of an hour to play here. My wife Margie and I played the East course and we were pleased with the conditions and the layout. And according to the pro shop the West course is more preferred by the regulars, I cant wait to get back and take a shot at that side. The course is carved out in the hills and valleys naturally. With the tee boxes utilizing the elevation differences in a challenging fashion to make you choose the club choice carefully. And I say carefully because there is just enough wind to make ball placement seen harder than you might expect. And I cant leave without giving a shot out to the greens keepers because these were some very nicely kept greens and consistant with roll. Next time maybe I can win.
Been a member there since the early 90s, golf there 3 or 4 times a week good food , friends, two18 hole courses, 2 practice putting greens, a driving range, banquet room
Played today this Holiday East Course. Very hilly and surprised with the amount of slope. Greens were aerated recently but playable. They were also extremely fast. Additionally some fairways are ridiculously narrow. One thing as well, when checking in the front desk staff were complaining to each other about Brian and an email. I understand today’s workload is harder and be happy for those who show up. But complaining about management in front of customers is bad business.
Excellent course and experience at the East course today. Variety of par 3/4/5. Some holes are very scenic. Big and lush green fairways (in early Jan). Highly recommend this course. Will play again.
This place is all around great for those of us who dont belong to Bushwood. Staff is on it, course is in great shape and a good mix between the two. I would say the greens could get a little more attention to make them consistent with each other. If youre not single digit tee it forward red or white is fun.
Great quiet place, greens are nicely prepared, perfect for beginners!
The course (Eastwas in unacceptable condition over the weekend. The greens were wrecked with ball marks and blemishes. Sand traps were more mud pits. They were overgrown with weeds coming out of sand. Overall condition was poor all around. My last issue I had was that we were allowed to make a tee time before the range was open. So if you make an early tee time, just know they might not have the range open.Played here 2 years ago and was not in this type of condition then. Hopefully, they get back to 100% soon.
Im gonna be a little bias on this one as I love the blue rock crew here. Blue rock was getting dumpy before new management took over and I know from first hand experience they are trying to make it work out here in vallejo. They just renovated the club and are making constant improvements on the course. It does get very busy here which is probably not what golfers want. But they manage the tee times well and keep up with pace of play. We gotta remember we need people to pack the courses so another course doesnt get shutdown..miss all you guys at blue rock and cant wait to visit again soon! Blue rock is hands down the best public course in 25 mile radius. -Mike Quinn Jr
4.5, bit crazy around the club house with two morning tournaments getting ready to go. Pro shop/starter never called our tee time and a group tried to jump our spot while we were sitting next to the box.Course, boxes and green were better than when I last played in April on the East. Spots here and there, but happy with my 84 for first time on the west.
I dont golf but the person I was with does and he really likes this gold course. The staff was helpful and friendly.Course was beautiful.I didnt get to see facility very well but it looked like it needs a little TLC.
I love Blue rock. Beautiful courses and green fees are affordable. The staff is professional and friendly and the atmosphere is similarly laid back and inclusive. Played 72 holes in the last 2 days here. East course is challenging and hilly, west course is more scorable but its all good vibes out here. Its how golf is supposed to be in my opinion. I might move to vallejo so I can play blue rock everyday. Speaking of that they have the best membership deal Ive ever seen. Two courses for the price of one. Come experience it for yourself if youre ever in the area. You wont be dissapointed.
One of my favorite golf trips ever! I was visiting friends in the Bay Area and was invited to this course. I was shocked by how reasonable the price was. I expected to have to pay much more for such a fun and enjoyable golf course. With the quiet and peaceful environment .Best Golf trip
a good golf course for the price. Its quite difficult. The scenery is beautiful.
Terrible greens. There was no notification on the Blue Rock Golf Course website about their greens being recently plugged and sanded. Otherwise the East Course has a nice layout and the fairways were in good shape for October. The Staff was very friendly and accommodating.
The hilly East crs layout is interesting & challenging. It is not easy to maintain a hilly course & there are a few areas in the fairways that are almost bare but overall the course condition is good. Today the East crs greens were recovering from being aerated & sanded.
This is a pretty popular course. The green fees were relatively inexpensive. They were running pretty far behind (about 40 minuteswhich was a bummer, but during covid its hard to control that. The course was well kept and the staff was great.
This is a really an OK track for the value! I have played the East and West courses. The East course, played today, was more challenging with moderate elevation gain. It would have been nice if my cart didn’t run out of battery on the 16th hole, which is 415 yards up hill, in 100 degree heat! Either way, expect lots of bermuda grass and hard wet sand bunkers with small rocks in them. The greens are well kept and roll true, there seems to be some integrity with the maintenance which is nice to see in a muni course. 4 stars if my cart didn’t die!
Been Waiting to play this course for a while. Was worth the wait. Played the west course, greens were great. The guy in the club house very helpful. Played with 3 guysvi didnt know they were great. Bring my golf buddies next weekend
This course is about average for the area. What is well below average is the attitude of a few of the staff who work there. There are a couple, in particular one person in the pro-shop, who exhibits an attitude that it is his course and you are fortunate that he has chosen to allow you to check-in. This is not a one time concern and is not an issue that is shared solely by myself. This employee has had many confrontations regarding his attitude over the years with many different golfers.Other issues include the ridiculous cart path only status of hole #7 on the East Course. This hole definitely has slopes, but also a clearly defined flat area that stretches the length of the hole. Most courses would just place a rope barrier along the slopes to prevent entry but Blue Rock has made this long Par 5 a cart path only for many, many years. Works out great for the huge amount of Seniors who play the course but must trek hundreds of extra yards through uneven surfaces. The parking situation is also less than ideal. I understand limited space, but when the course staff know that by 8AM, 7 days a week, parking is extended to the upper lot you would think a shuttle would be in operation. The shuttle is sporadic at best and rarely during the week. This is just a few issues with this course. There are good things about the courses but like I said the condition of the course is average, the pace of play, which is exacerbated by fivesomes, can be extremely slow and the majority of course workers have no understanding of deference to the golfers while making shots. This is a city owned course and as a citizen of Vallejo I do expect to be treated as a valued customer and to receive at least the minimal amount of etiquette from the staff members.
Two sides 18 holes East or West. Greens are in great shape. Prices are up due to covid-19 but its always worth it. Best weather in all of California.. and views of the North Bay..360 all around!
Hmmm, played here long time ago. Was a great experience then but I forgot about this place. This is not an amazing golf course. In fact there are 2 courses. I just played both last Saturday. Yes, both. No I didnt start at 6 am. But minutes after noon. 12 09 tee time.$57. And $25. Staff were so incredibly nice. I was prepared to walk both courses ( had to return cart after first coursehowever these people busted guts to get everyone a cart as much as possible. I was reminded of the last time I had played here. Not the golf but the staff!!! Yes again why didnt I remember. I digress. Simply get here. Two great courses that are simply for everyone and may put some manners on you if you dont respect them and think theyre below your level. Did I mention the staff. Best ever during this reopening and Ive played a lot of different courses.
Nice grass driving range that’s open Friday-Sunday. Practice Chipping/Putting green is nice for warming up. I actually left my club on the practice green and Blaine the GM was good enough to hold it for me in the pro shop for the day. I’ll definitely be coming back here.
Easily my favorite course ever. Hahaha but seriously great for the price and it has definitely improved cant waitbforbnew course
Nice clubhouse and friendly staff. Overall course condition is great! Nice view in many holes. Not a very challenging course but still you will find some fun out from here.
Great spot for golf. Very scenic, well manicured and greens were smooth. The only thing that bothered me was the course was a little confusing to navigate from hole to hole. They needed a little better system to guide you to the next hole. Other than that, I would definitely play this course again.
Great round despite the idiots behind us constantly hitting balls at us. Greens were in great shape.
So nice to see a well run facility with nice staff. Ill be coming back again for sure.
