Blue Lotus Water Garden in Cranbourne

Great variety of lotus that you will ever get to experience. Nicely maintained and we had great time visiting. Also has spots for picnic and an on-site cafe serving hot food.

Tranquil. Picturesque. Victoria’s own Monet gardens. Felt like we were in Hawaii with the mountains in the background & lush greenery. Spent about 2 hours here. Sufficient restrooms around the gardens and drinking taps as well. Great photo opportunities. Great for artists. Great for the kids with a Fairy & Dragon garden. They have picnic & BBQ facilities, a café, gift shop & nursery to purchase some of these beautiful lotus. Get there earlier to avoid the after lunch crowd.

Relatively well set for a nice day for you and your family. Choose a day which is not too hot. Make sure you take your repelant, broad rim hat, sunglasses and sun screen. Will be good to take your food as well. The road is beautiful with fantastatic look-outs and view of farms, bushlands and green hills. Staff is very rude. Wanted to ask her a question but she just ignored me and went on with others. And don’t come in Apr. there is nothing here. Bad experience. And I’m a water lily lover, even have a tattoo about it. Anyway, don’t recommend it here.

This is a beautiful place to spend time with friends and family. There’s a cafeteria inside this place selling both hot and cold foods. It is a huge place. So, make sure you are arriving early with enough time to roam around. There are benches and tables with chairs almost all over the places. So, you can sit and take rest or enjoy your food while watching the views.

Definitely worth to pay a visit here if you love lotus! They showcased variety and different species of lotus. Entrance fee is little pricey. Recommended to visit this place at the start of the season.

This place is amazing! Its a large well-maintained garden with gorgeous bridges and views. Great for photography or just a leisurely stroll.The staff/owners were very warm and welcoming! Would definitely love to visit again when I get the chance.

Nice place for family picnic but after awhile you get bo4ed of seeing same plants over and over again. The price tag of $22 pet adult and $4.50 for a bottle of water is your typical theme park prices.

Gorgeous garden.A little pricey to visit but worth the beautiful view. Lotus leaves and flowers literally overflow into the path. The different theme that separates the lotus varieties was quirky and the garden seems to stretch on forever.The owner welcomes visitors to enjoy their garden as there are plenty of shaded places along the path to rest, picnic, or BBQ. If you dont want to DIY, there is a cafe to take a break and enjoy the scenery and lovely lotus scents in the air.

A brilliant experience even though it was 30° on the day & the humidity in the garden was very high.Definitely a must if you are in the area.

This was my second visit within a few weeks, I must say theres much less blooms than the last visit two weeks ago. There just isnt enough shade although umbrellas are provided.Friendly staff.

This is a beautiful place to visit they have some rare collections of lotus. Plenty of huts for shade, bbq space and clean toilets. Downside tickets are a bit expensive, just one stall for eatery and wouldn’t recommend visiting on a hot day.

Absolutely beautiful.From the moment you enter the gardens you are transported back to a Balinese holiday. Staff are friendly and helpful. Facilities clean. Barbecues aplenty. Peaceful and serene . Loved it 🥰

I was searching Google for somewhere to take my 80 year old Mum for the day and found Blue Lotus Water Garden. So glad we stumbled upon this place! Absolutely beautiful gardens, loads of cute little areas to have a picnic lunch (we brought our own with usand super clean facilities. The drive there was beautiful & we both loved the garden!

Amazing! Had a wonderful day, the gardens are huge! Very well maintained, there is play equipment if you have kids, and I had great help in the nursery. Loved it.

Perfect place for a family trip, with easy walking paths, plenty of shaded picnic spots and surrounded by the calming beauty of a variety of lotuses.The cafe and kiosk within have plenty of options to eat with homemade juices and ice tea. Dont forget to try the lotus chips.

How beautiful the lotus and water lilly is. This display has you in awe. Great place to have a picnic as there are many spots to choose from. Take away and dine in Cafe options also. Great for all ages.

Entrance fee is a bit pricey but you can go out for awhile and go back again on the same day without paying for another entrance fee, just need to show them that little map they give you. A good place for picnic and some summer photos. Theyve got some umbrellas that you can borrow too if you want to hide from the sun!

Time well spent.Visited on a week day in early January, dispute being school holidays, there was no crowds. The paths, ponds and facilities are all well maintained. To see the Amazon lilies in bloom is a highlight.Tip: wear comfortable walking shoes.

Huge place with plenty to learn and see about Lotus flowers..who’d have thought.Lots of people picnicking, we just came in for a walk about the gardens/grounds. Spent about an hour in total looking about.

We visited today. Nice attraction, must see especially with kids. Colourful Lotus and ponds are amazing 🤩 and also delightful cafe with fresh food. Don’t miss delicious pancake and rainbow 🌈 ice cream. Well maintained amenities and resting area. Wants to visit again.

This is such an incredibly gorgeous place, well worth the long journey here and its reachable by public transport! Its quite a large area and its absolutely packed with water lilies and lotus flowers everywhere, truly a sight to behold. If you like gardens, dont even think about it, just go.Theres a cafe here, but there isnt a lot of food variety to choose from (and to be honest the food is quite pricey). They serve mostly western food such as sandwiches, salads, etc so if those arent to your taste Id recommend bringing your own food. There are plenty of seating areas all around the garden to sit down for a meal.

This place is good to visit at least once. There are so many varieties of lotus and lilies and also picnic spots. We enjoyed our visit.

Amazing Place to visit. I have never seen that many type of Lotus lily in my life haha. The family and Kids will love this place. great to go at the right time. best to call them up to see when the flowers are blooming.

Absolutely gorgeous place, beautifully landscaped gardens and pIcnic and bbq areas available. Kids loved the dragon trail and the fairy garden. I loved the river trail so many lotus blooms in various stages of bloom. I understand it is the end of the season now and must come back when season in full swing to admire the gardens!

Great place to visit during the right time of the year. Many varieties of lotus on display; make sure to bring a camera! Most areas are quite exposed so wear a hat if visiting on a sunny day. Some sheltered booths available for picnics.

Located an hour drive away from Melbourne, its a nice lotus and water lilly garden. Ideal place for picnics with family and friends. Kids will enjoy the small bridges and trails around the park. Huts, barbecue and sitting area are available all around the garden. Wide variety of lotus and water lillies. Can easily spend 2 to 3 hours. Its a season experience I guess from Dec to April, best to call and check. They do have a small Cafe/ice cream place inside the garden. They do sell plants and garden arts.

Absolutely Gorgeous lotus water gardens , you feel like you have stepped back in one of Monet ‘s paintings . A great weekend to do and or day trip , I highly recommend, there is a cafe and wear good walking shoes

A very nice place to visit with lots of lotus plants and lakes, very neat and clean setup and very nice arrangements, you can even plan a picnic with friends and family.

You really do feel like youve left Melbourne and gone to Asia. The highlight isnt really the big lilies that get you there in the first place, its the expansive lakes of lilies that transport you to memories of other countries (particularly Cambodia for me). It has renewed my interest in cultivating my own water garden again.

now here is place that sucks out your stress and makes you feels better! We went on a weekday and not may ppl where here but even with more it would be fine. There are a lot of small huts around to just sit and let ur body breath out stress and inhale peace. I also like that there is lots of space for ppl to grill and have a picnic.Dont forget to taste the fried lotus chips.... amazing.

Well worth going. Neat and tidy with great displays of flowers. Friendly helpful staff. Thought about taking the grand children next time but the sight of all the flowers would send them off on a picking spree (:

Nice and peaceful place for a family dayout. Beautiful flowers. Many spots to have a picnic. There is a cafe with standard hot food, milk shakes, coffee etc . Bit pricy - however, you get a nice seating area to dine in. There are some plants and gardening decor items you could purchase at the entrance/exit. Can get quite busy better to buy the tickets online and there are free tickets for kids during weekdays until sold out.ii

Great place to go for a wander. Lots of tables and chairs and most have shelter as well, so perfect place to take a small picnic lunch. Gets busy on sunny days, so get there by 10 or 10:30 when it is more quiet. There are BBQs you can use (needs $2 coin).

Lovely Lotus gardens, definitely worth the visit and entry fee. Spent a few hours here enjoying all of the beauty. Would have received 5 stars if it was not for the overpriced terrible quality food from the Cafe Soggy chips, chocolate milkshake which was tiny and didnt even taste of chocolate and a beef roll which was small and had hardly any beef in it. Highly recommend you plan your trip here so you dont have a need to purchase food on-site. There are plenty of options nearby.

Wonderful picturesque place, tranquil, with a variety of gorgeous exotic flora, it makes you feel like you have transported to another continent. Plenty of comfy spots to take a rest in the shade and have lunch.

Great for a wander along large ponds with water lilies and lotus flowers. Natural bushland adjacent to the gardens also encourage a large variety of birdlife. Great for photography.

It is stunning. Never seen a lotus water garden before but this one from the moment we walked the entrance is amazing. Very picturesque, you got to be there to experience it. Very well laid out walking paths and amazing collection of lotus. They have largest waterlily species in the World. Kids have a dedicated play area where fairy visits couple of times a day and reads magical stories. Amazon exhibit was awesome. Well maintained park. Hundreds of picnic tables stretched across the gardens, they are bali huts with tables and benches. And there was bridge fitted with mist spray, kids just loved it and played on bridge all day long. Cafe was ok and for some strange reason quite slow.

Take the family out and dont skip this beauty of nature! I honestly felt that I am overseas visiting some tropical location. Those lotus flowers are incredible and it was just an hour and half of walking around listening to the sound of water and frogs (you can also walk along the yarra river border with the parkI absolutely loved it and got some seriously good photos! Be prepared for the flys though...

Beautiful gardens spread over a reasonable area, plenty of seating out amongst the gardens and then bulk seating near the cafe area. There are even BBQs and picnic tables out in the gardens, not much shade so bring a sunhat.

At 1 hour and 15 minutes drive from Melbourne Blue lotus water garden is an ideal day trip from Melbourne for summer. Situated on the banks of the Little Yarra river, the garden boasts of thousands of lotus flowers including worlds largest Amazon Giant Lily.With viewing rotundas, picnic shelters a full scale cafe and restaurant, not to mention the complimentary BBQ station to use, you can spend a large petition of your day without having to go out for food, drink or fun.You may see an occasional platypus, duck, frog or a great egret saying hello to you when you wander around.The main attraction though are the breathtaking views - of lotus flowers, the river, greenery in the backdrop of distant hills.
