Klokgebouw 10, 5617 AA Eindhoven, Netherlands, Eindhoven
A 9-minute walk from the Eindhoven Strijp-S Railway Station, this hip hotel occupies a former factory and is 3 km from Van Abbemuseum and 2 km from the Philips Museum.Featuring industrial-chic decor, the unfussy mixed-gender and female-only dorms come with free Wi-Fi, lockers and shared bathrooms; some have bunk beds and/or flat-screen TVs. Simple private rooms offer private facilities; some have sitting areas. Individually decorated suites provide minibars; 1 has a 4-poster bed. Room service is offered in the suites only. There are 2 hip restaurants/bars, along with a terrace and a concert hall.
Please remember this is 2 star hotel. Interesting industrial arrangements, gine bsr with music and very friendly staff.
Good place for a party / concert
Great service, good drinks and fantastic location.
Check in 15:00 check out 12:00 ! And no flexibility in this even for one hour 🙄
Having been a part of a support crew for a charity cycle ride through Europe. This is by far the number one hotel. Brilliant rooms with an industrial edge. Food was absolutely fantastic 👍 Brian the Irish lad on the bar was brilliant sorting food and drinks etc for 14 hungry lads!!Highly recommended 👍
Not clean- not clean!Bedsheets, cups were dirty. Sofa was stained. Paid 72,- per night with no breakfast. Had to pay my taxes directly at arrival. Windows in my room could not open which caused huge discussions with personal because they claimed it could open. However I was right and eventually they offered me another room. I am still waiting for excuses from the unhelpful and indifferent lady at the desk. Till now (31-8no apologies received.....Hotel has an impersonal atmosphere. Somewhere between a hostel and a hotel. I definitely would not recommend it.
#LetsGuide a good hotel the best ? No Dutch people are working here !
Amazing interior, great atmosphere!
Cozy atmoshpere, unique interior, tasty beer and friendly staff. Oh and the rock music is on point!
Funky place, fun room (Für Elise), nice bar
Only one minus for rooms is showers design. There is running joke in hotel "Where is my slippers man?" but besides this hotel was awesome. Staff is very friendly and helpful with all kinds of situation. Check in and check out is easy cause you can just leave cards in basket. You can come back to hotel at any time, also they have vending machine which has bear in just in case you will need one more. Hotel cleanness kept to maximum. I have accidently left room in mess and comeback to room like it was first time I saw it. Also they have bar which has rocky vibe going for it.
Missing bedsheet and stained mattress cover... The owner just felt sorry... #Meetoo !!
There were small pieces of crushed glass on the floor in my room. I got two pieces in my foot that I had to dig out. When getting back to my room in the evening the door to my room was open. The person cleaning didn’t close it properly. When speaking to the staff they were aware of the problems with this door.It haven’t noticed anything stolen but I feel uneasy that someone has perhaps gone through my personal things. Luckily I brought my computer with me to work that day.I told the hotel about these incidents but no response.
4 of us stayed in one room, was clean and functional. Lovely lady on reception was so friendly and helpful, let us keep our bikes in the room overnight as well. The bar and restaurant sold great beer and tasty food. Its a little way outside from the city centre so it may not suit everyone, but there was a train station very close so I guess you could get into the centre pretty easily.Would stay again, it was perfect for us. Thankyou
Theeee best place to hang out when visiting one of the great venues in the Area, truly honours "rockcity" Eindhoven!Super friendly and helpfull personnel, great music and atmosphere 🤘
Room is furnished in full industrial style, a bit cold and skinny, but for sure better than the average, anonymous Holiday Inn or Ibis. Would have liked at least a piece of hand soap...Another chapter is the annexed restaurant: half of the menu card is unavailable, it seemed only fridge-cold salades could be served. What was available came with a miryad of extras, which were not communicated by the waiter. And, to my negative answer to the dreaded question: "Heeft u dat gesmaakt?" the answer was irritated and along the lines of its written in the menu, its your fault if you didnt ask for... So, a decent hotel for a short stay, with a minimum of character, with a soviet-style restaurant coming with.Suggestion: you better chose a day after Wednesday in the week when most of the neighboring restaurants are open.
Normal hotel! The restaurant actually is pretty nice.
I love coming back to this place every spring. The best crew I have ever met, always so smiling ❤️ perfect English, comfy rooms, wonderful bar - beautiful, with lots of details I discover every time I come here. 10)10!
In regards of rating, not rating 5 stars, because the Hotel lacks many things, such as basic nessesaties like a small tooth paste or little shampoo. Not a big problem here, big problem is the room itself. It was clean alright, but the bathroom towels were placed like it was just drying, not cleaned up. The trash from the previous visitor was still there! The room is very noisy, I can hear when someone flushed a toilet. Also it doesn’t look pleasing, needs some fixing and coloring, looks like someone is doing DIY project on this room and it’s not finished. The staff is the good part. Very friendly and welcoming. Hotel itself needs much improvement, for one or two night stay it’s alright, but lacks many things, that even cheaper hotels provide and do :(
Perfect location if youre coming for hardcore, since you wont be sleeping that night noise does not matter lol
Nice hotel located at the Klokgebouw in the Strijp-S district, within walking distance (20 minutesfrom the city center, but also located in a vibrant progressive district. Many restaurants, bars and decoration/art/design shops around (not the only type of shops). The hotel is clean, no weird smells, and functional. Reception staff is quite friendly, and I appreciate to hear a "hello" and see a smile when I arrive back at my room.Their bar/restaurant is awesome. The staff is incredibly friendly (most of them), the food is also incredibly tasty and presentation very nicely done. From my point of view, the prices are just a little bit more expensive than other places, but its worth every cent of your money. Many parking facilities around (even just in front of the hotel), and good public transportation available, either train or bus.I would recommend my friends to stay here when they come to visit. If the owner reads this and is open to suggestions, I have just two recommendation: where I come from, if one of your hosts ask you for an alcoholic beverage, no matter the hour in the day, you mind your business and just serve it.Also, you shouldnt allow your staff to burp twice at a customers face and make fun of him thinking they dont speak Nederlands, omdat jij weet niet wie jouw taal spreekt ;)
Food was okay. "Trio of sausage" was average, Quesadillas werent really Quesadillas but still tasty. The Service Dude was way under average - very unfriendly, and not helpful
Bed was comfortable but the bathroom was bad, mainly the shower didnt drain so within a minute the whole bathroom module was flooded and i had to stop showering for fear of the water getting into the bedroom - it really needs attention. Kettle was broken so couldnt make a hot drink. Have stayed here a few times and the place is rough around the edges which is fine - its part of the charm - but the faulty bathroom and kettle spoiled the experience. Also reception was closed at check out so couldnt report the issues.
It was wonderful experience here. I was there with my colleagues . We ordered Burger With Bacon and Cheese , Fully Loaded Nachos ( chicken and Chorizo. They serve one of the best Burgers around Eindhoven ,Burger and Nachos were of large portion. Very very Tasty food , hygienic and clean. Very warm and polite hostess .
I booked the comfort room and for €59 euro it was perfect. The bed was comfortable and clean. The room was also clean and the bathroom/shower was functional and had basic necessities. Exactly what one would need. The bar is amazing with great selection of food and beer. Great service and music. I would certainly stay here again.
An amazing hotel & bar-restaurant. The vibe is unique with cool art, rock&roll ambiance, comfort menus, tasty beers and most of all great vibrant staff. No need to leave the hotel if you are staying here. We will look no further when we are back in Eindhoven, this is the place you want to be!
Really nice atmosphere , music but the hamburger is industrialized and made in the oven , they sell as the best burguer ever.... But its bellow the average, the service could be better, sometimes you need to go to the tap to order a beer.
Great hotel with an awesome restaurant met friends for the weekend and stayed here. It fits the description of a blue color hotel. Not fancy but nice and clean. Great staff and good food. We will be back when we’re in town. Thank you for the great hospitality. Great location to explore the area. Interesting stores across the street and adjacent to a train stop and parking garage.
The atmosphere and personal were great and friendly. I can imagine its great to have a beer here, and go here after a day of having fun. However, for getting a good night of sleep, I would not recommend it. The hotel rooms are noisy, and very light. I had the bad luck to have a snorer nearby; and I got 3 hour of sleep max (with noise-cancelling headphones and top volume, you could still hear the snorer). I guess that this is bad luck, and it might be better other nights, but I would not bet on sleeping here again. I went there to not have to wake up at 4:00 to get a train, but I think I might have had more sleep if I had just slept at home.If you get a normal room, I think it could be a great place with an unique atmosphere.
Nice decoration but awefull reception. We were ignored all the way. The event we went to for a couple of days used a space in that cafe, the mood and decors were cute but was not enough to brighten the mood. We waited and waited for someone to come so we could eat dinner and they just never came. We ended up going to Temaki near by and was super good
Very cool loft-like place with a stylish bar downstairs (open till 4am!). Arriving after midnight was no problem. I think some people might not like the very soft mattresses (I didn’t mind). Would like to see some hooks to hang my towel and clothes around the bed. Also the lighting inside the shower and toilet stalls could be improved.
Its got comfy and cozy rooms but not all of the decor fits in. It has rustic, old wooden furniture but it doesnt have much appeal to it since everything else is modern. My bathroom wasnt finished and I wasnt the only one. I dont know if theyre planning to finish it or not though. The ground floor has a bar which means a fun night to say the least. On the 4th floor there is a breakfast buffet. The variety is not a lot but they offer 3 choices of coffee, tea, pastries, bread, cereal, omlet and a salad bar.
Original hotel designed in industrial style in building of old factory. Really high ceilings (over 3 metersmake all rooms and corridors fill much bigger then in reality.I very liked design, including tables made from wooden cable rollers, wardrobe made inside metal work cabinets.Hotel has restaurant and bar on ground floor. Moreover provides entertainment in its theatre.I didint liked bathroom with only one soap dispenser, near entrance. Hotel isn’t family friendly, it’s more students place.
The hotel is neat, tidy and clean. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. They provide free map of Eindhoven city and also mark the important locations for you on the map, literally like walking you through the city. The bar at the hotel attracts a good crowd so if you decide to stay in at the hotel then its not a bad choice at all.
Interesting interior at the entrance where the bar is located. But the room looked poor and it was veeeeery cold in the middle of April. Successfully, there was a heater in the room but it took all the night to warm it up at least a little bit.Breakfast is worth eating there, the buffet looks great. The choice of food is usual for European hotels.
I loved this hotel! The staff was extremely friendly, the room was very clean and it was always warm. The food downstairs was amazing and there was very little noise, even when the bar was open until 4am we heard nothing. I would definitely recommend this hotel and especially for winterclash 😁 its perfect!
Very interesting hotel, the atmosphere is quite unusual. There is a big dormitory with 34 bed, which is sounds a lot but they are divided to two bad boxes. End of the room have the shower and toilets. The facilities are generally clean, they empty the rubbish bins, fixing the beds after the guests are left. However they are not mopping up the room every day and the toilets the same. The bar have some food options, coffee, tea, drinks.
The hotel is ok. The architecture is industrial, up to you to choose of you like it for your room or not. The windows are original from Philips times and also the heating system seems to be the old one. Beds are new comfortable. The bathroom was too cold.
Staff was friendly. Hotel was quiet, but style was a bit rough and not very warm. Industrial touch in decoration. Shower was like a container and sewer didnt work it was clogged. The cleaning took place occasionally and the beds werent made every day. The railway was very close and caused noise. The breakfast was good and food downstairs was good too. I recommend it for 1 or 2 nights maximum.
Rooms are very cheap and does not look clean. You feel like you sleep in a factory. Windows are with thin glass and extremely cold in the winter. No fridge. No locker. Toilet walls are made out of cheap mixed rest of wood. I think the designer exaggerated while trying to keep it extremely cheap. Only positive thing is the bar and the friendly staff. The building is 50m from a high speed train line. You hear train noice every 10 15 minutes. The radiator is not working and you feel the cold wind touching your skin through the window. Bed are made of Sponge and the sheet is barely big enough for one person.Go to this hotel alone and only if you want to feel dirty and cheap.
The blue collar hotel is a great place to stay.Converted old factory that is also a bar and a concert place for live shows.Room was clean and big for 3 people, didnt get the breakfast but heard from others its also good.Good WiFi coverage with good speed. Bus is close by and so is the train station, can get to the city center in about 10-15 minutes. The only "bad" part is the train near by, can hear it... Not too loud so it didnt bother me too much.In total a great inexpressive place to stay.
We really liked this hotel having stayed here a few times now. Lots of character due to its history from being a former Philips building, the rooms are industrial in character. The breakfast area located at the top of the building has great panoramic views however the only thing we were disappointed with was the quality of the breakfast served and the staff manner as a little rude and grumpy when we pointed out the long grey hairs on the scammbled eggs.... hence we only have 4 out of 5 otherwise a great place. Were back here again in 2018.
Well, first impression was weird, its not an ordinary hotel , but very fast I found this place very nice. The private rooms wide and big, the old fashion design is great. The bed is super soft, I know that not everyone like it. Breakfast was very good, rich and the resturant in the 4th floor have nice view on this reconstruced area. The reason for the 4 starts is the noise from the train. Its not the end of the world but still can be annoying.
By far my favourite hotel yet.Huge, comfortable beds (us tall people can actually fit in them). The great ventilation system and tall rooms make the place feel really spatious.Clean and neat all around. They dont offer everything, but what they do offer is perfectThe staff are super nice and helpful. The food and drinks at the bar are really good and not expensive. It takes about 15 minutes to get to the hotel from the train station/centre by foot.Great parking space.
One of the best hostels I ever slept, nice bar as well and also very friendly staff.I stayed here before in a private room. Fully renovated and amazing whisky bottle lamps. Super high ceilings and a great bed.In the hostel the beds are divided so you really don’t have issues with other people and it’s a bit more sound proof. 2 rooms are connected to one shower and toilet room with more then enough facilities.A really nice place to stay in Eindhoven !
Great hotel with handful of private & shared dorm rooms converted from an old Phillips factory warehouse.I stayed in a private room for about 50EUR with en suite which was very spacious and comfortable, with TV and coffee making facilities. Decor was very cool and industrial.Downstairs is a funky bar area serving food and beer. As I arrived very late sadly I didnt get a chance to enjoy it, but looked like the vibe was very relaxed. Was a little further out from the centre than I anticipated but only a 30 minute walk in reality, in a safe modern area.
Quaint but beautiful hotel right next to the Klokgebouw, one of the bigger concert halls in Holland. Place used to be a factory of some sorts, and that still shows. All rooms have a distinct and industrial look. Prices are very reasonable, and the rooms are very comfortable. Hotel also has a bar, which has been voted the best bar in the Netherlands last year. Due to its location it is ideal for a concert visit.
Stayed here for 1 night which was perfect. The room was great, the shower a bit weird but thats a design choice. The staff was very friendly until I wanted breakfast which I wasnt allowed... What isnt a good mood change for someone who isnt a morning person. Everything else was good though.
Very nice and helpful staff. The big dorm is nicely set up, each bunk is separated by walls for a bit of privacy. huge bathroom, very clean, no waiting. shower cabins with enough space for towel and clothes, absolutely great
Location was in a trendy area and within easy reach to all the popular attractions and train station. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the decor helped to create a fun, cozy atmosphere. Room was good with big windows and an interesting view, although it was a little cold and the shower room was clean but very average. Breakfast in the morning was great, well organised with good selection, and you can enjoy a panoramic view of the area. All in all my stay has been a positive one and I would come again.
