Stylish venue on the 23rd floor with sweeping views, unique cocktails & live jazz music.
Great staff with amazing drinks. Jazz on Fridays is amazing.
Such an awesome place with an amazing view! Having a Manhattan while looking at downtown Milwaukee is an amazing experience!
Fabulous Friday night music which catered to the crowd. There was a couple getting married and they played them a special song and the couple danced in the small available space. It was sweet. The vocalist was exceptional.
The views of downtown are amazing. This is a nice quiet spot for a drink
Lovely atmosphere and drinks. Highly recommend visiting around sunset as surrounding skyline starts lighting up 💡
The singer was great. The atmosphere is nice when it isnt packed. The prices are daunting. The service is horrible... amateur hour!
Super outdated decor. Poor service. Bad layout. The view is nice but you’re probably not going to get one of the few seats by the window. The management definitely has not done any current research, so again everything from the menu to the furniture and decor is pretty archaic. It’s like going to a bar in 1995 where the wait staff pretends you’re invisible.
Ru was super friendly and amazing! She made our experience amazing!
Amazing view of Lake Michigan. Service was great. Fancy little place.
Just a nice quiet club with great music. Drinks and appetizers are a little pricey, so be prepared. But they are quite tasty.
I visited Blu after the David Sanborn concert, there was live music and several people in the bar. Drinks were okay, I will try something different next time. Since we were a little hungry we checked out the appetizers, unfortunately there werent many appetizers on the menu which was disappointing. Overall it was a pleasant experience, the view of Milwaukee was outstanding.
Visited Blu on Sat Jun 11. Wed been to the lobby bar of the Pfister on many occasions, but never knew of Blu until a google search of the hotel. We were very surprised with the bar, the views and friendly staff. A cool, swanky place with a good vibe and great views of Lake Michigan and the City of Milwaukee. Will definitely go back.
Best high-rise bar in Milwaukee, great drinks menu, and live jazz music. Best nighttime views of downtown Milwaukee from the top of the Pfister Hotel. Really intimate and a great date-night option. Sit farther away from the music section if you want to have a conversation, as it gets quite loud. Overall super experience, but I have to take a star for the interior design, especially the strange outdated ceiling tiles. Chairs, sofas, tables with little candles are great though.
Great drinks for a good price! Amazing views and ambiance as well!
Live jazz on Friday and Saturday nights. Nice view as the sun sets and the drinks are great. Gets busy around 8pm while we were here in the year 2022 anyway so come around 7p when the music starts!
This is one of my favorite spots in Milwaukee. Amazing view and great staff! The live music performances are always excellent, too.
Stopped off for a cocktail on a business trip. Great lake and city views. The Mule was great! I will be back again! Thank you!
Great service. Great bartenders. Live music if you plan your visit right. Very nice view of the city.
Went for a lovely tea brunch - everything was just beautiful. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly, and the attention to detail made it a morning to remember.
Pfister afternoon tea....a whole nother level$57 per person, served in the Blu Room. They only have tea from fall to spring so the end of season is approaching fast and they get booked up fast!! I guess a lot of guests book it with their stay. They give a thoughtful tea presentation, describing the teas and allowing you to smell each one. They also offer different infusers such as dried mango and plum. The treats were sensational...I wanted more scones because the lemon curd and strawberry jam were so good. It was the first time we tried cavier...that must be an acquired taste. It felt like an endless pot of tea...I think I drank 4 cups and they gave me a to go cup that I filled. We loved this unique, local experience.
well. if you like sax. Anyway the violet margarita is pretty solid. Didn’t skip on the alcohol. The elderflower martini is also really nice. View is very nice and the walk through the lobby is just awesome.
We went for afternoon tea and was pretty disappointed. We had 2pm reservation and I’m sure our food was sitting on the tiered tray for quite a while before we got there. The mini sandwiches and desserts were stale and dried. There was one that was VERY fishy tasting and made me wonder if I was going to get sick from it (tuna salad maybe?). The music was nice, but stopped shortly after arrival. I think we received the worst part of afternoon tea, but paid full price. If going, go earlier. I would have made the reservation earlier, but they didn’t have any reservation times open. Huge bummer.
Absolutely loved this place. Went for the first time this weekend and we were very pleased with the environment. It’s a nice place to go if you want to get dressed up and have a fancy date night. We went when they had jazz playing and it was a nice show. The drinks are expensive but you’re paying for the experience.
Amazing view of the city, good drinks including craft cocktails, heirloom popcorn, classy atmosphere, classy jazz thats not too loud. Tables are first come first serve, so if youre going for the free jazz and want a table, best go early. Polite waitstaff.
Its a great date place, great views but terrible service! Server didnt show up for a good 20 mins, then drinks took another 20 or so and we almost cancelled the second order. Place wasnt busy either. Idk seemed unreasonable
The drinks looked and tasted great, the views were amazing, and there was a really awesome jazz band playing when we were there (although the loud music made it difficult to talk). We got the barrel aged manhattan and the mango mojito, and the favorite of the two was the mojito. However, it was crowded and it wasnt obvious how find a table. It was mostly luck and didnt really appear to even be first come first serve. Also, while the server was nice, the service was a bit slow and the drinks were pricey.
What a great place for listening to jazz music, having a lovely drink and looking at amazing Milwaukee scenery!!
Went to celebrate son in laws birthday. Weve been here before and love it. Music started at 7pm. Get there early to get a great seat. Gin and Tonic was $12. Beer was $5. In the past, I remember waitresses being very nice and attentive. This has NOT changed! Exceptional customer service. Have fun!
Great place to stop and see the city with a view why you relax with a drink. Place did smell a little funny.
Popular place! Rightfully so! If you can grab a table then great, table service. If not, you may be waiting for awhile standing by the bar waiting on a drink. If anything stop by for the view! Ordered the Manhattan & Old Fashioned. Tree from lobby.
Nice tea time. Great service
What makes Blu unique and wonderful are the views of downtown Milwaukee and the live performances. It is a great date spot and also a more exciting option than the hotels lobby bar. Aside from that, its a traditional hotel bar with small menu. I will definitely be back again.
Very cool place to entertain and Awesome staff!!
I’ve been coming here for over 10 years and the quality of the drinks just isn’t the same. We were told the bar tender is new and the new menu was only 3 weeks old. The newer drinks tasted like we were at a college party. The view is always great and the service is still top notch though. I hope the drinks go back to their previous standard because Blu was INE of my favorite spots for a cocktail.
Second time visiting and so worth it. The views are amazing, even in the bathroom! Drinks were so delicious and STRONG. We had a young African American woman as our server and I wish I would have caught her name because she was wonderful! So friendly and sweet and I would have loved to chat with her more. Great service- Ill be back!
A big change from my younger years of Friday nights listening to jazz there, but the name is apropos and soothing. The room has been reduced in size but very comfortable and the music was relaxing, the entire experience was a good choice after a wonderful dining experience in Pewaukee.
Lovely lounge with a superb view and great jazz musicians.
The view is as gorgeous as ever and the band just as lovely. Drinks were lamentably average at best, especially for the price. Manhattan was served over ice in a rocks glass- effectively ruining a $17 featured cocktail.
The servers were wonderful. The Old Fashions were on point and the view in the ladies room was lovely. Gorgeous hotel. Im hopeful we will layover at the Pfister again.
Great relaxing place on the 23rd floor. Go at the right time and hear live jazz music with a fun, lively group. Exquisite views of downtown Milwaukee and Lake Michigan. When you first walk into Blu, be prepared to have your breath taken away by the spectacular views!
The blu is a very nice place for a date night where they have live music and a very cozy atmosphere. They have a bar and the decor is very chic. Its def a place to check out if you get tired of the club scene
Awesome upscale cocktail lounge on the 23rd floor of the Pfister hotel. Comfortable seating in front of windows that offer beautiful panoramic views of the Milwaukee skyline with lake Michigan as the backdrop. Our server/bartender Alyson was great. She answered all our questions and even offered us insight and information on how to improve making our own cocktails at home. The barrel aged Manhattan was the best Manhattan that I have tasted anywhere, I definitely recommend it.The cherry gimlet was great, not too sweet nor was the cherry overpowering, you could taste the gin and fresh lime in it. Very refreshing.I was disappointed with the new old fashioned. It was good, but I like my old fashioneds to be a little sweet, which this one was not, so I did not like the taste of the seltzer in that cocktail.
Beautiful view of downtown, socially distanced seating, live music on Friday and Saturday nights and a lovely wine selection. Loved the ambiance...I will be back!!!
Great food, great service, social distancing and masks. I really enjoyed the tea and the variety. It was a top notch experience and I look forward to experiencing it again in the future. If you are looking for a unique experience for a group, this fits the bill to a tea. Pun intended.
Very nice atmosphere. Very dim with a great city view. Drinks from their menu were very strong. The hostess was very nice, and our waitress was ariel, who was also nice and attentive. We needed a reservation because it was a 30-40 minute wait, but they easily texted us from our room to let us know the table was ready so we didnt have to wait around in that small space. The only issue i had was that (while live music can be nice...it was very loud in a small room. I felt like i had to sit very close to the people with me to hear them at all. They had a piano and (i believea cello? And once the musicians left to take a break, they put music on the speakers, which seemed much nicer and quieter than what they were playing. I was actually disappointed when they came back to play more live music... we also didnt even know they offered any kind of food/snacks until halfway through our drinks we overheard a table order cake. Would have been nice to know.
Did afternoon tea on a Saturday afternoon. It was generously portioned, extremely elegant, and delicious. Ive never had to get a to-go box from afternoon tea before. But I did for this one! We overlooked downtown and Lake Michigan...stunning views. Worth every penny!
Fun atmosphere and great view of downtown. Drinks werent cheap , as expected for a place like this. Get there early so you can snag a seat near the window.
First time here and loved it!! Drinks are little pricey but delicious!! Great views!! Will come again!!
Ive been here many times and have never had a bad experience. Their signature cocktails are interesting. The view is obviously unbeatable. Two things that arent necessarily a deal breaker for me but after annoying: the couches have been sat on to DEATH, hopefully you replace them or restuff the cushions and second, the snacky food wasnt available until 530 on a weekday, though happy hour started at 5. Id sync this up.We had the truffle chips (yum!!!), One of their signature old fashioneds, and a glass of cab. Well be back!
Did the afternoon tea tasting today at Blu. Very elegant experience. Top floor of pfister hotel so great views of the city and lake all around. Brought some guests from out of town. Had a choice from 13 unique teas. I chose cinnamon plum, was delicious. The silverware was awesome. Got some finger foods, tea sandwiches and desserts to go along with tea. Live piano in background. Excellent time sipping tea eating delicious treats and catching up.
