Bloom Bakery - Bakery in Cleveland, United States
When they opened, I loved this place. I stopped in this morning for a coffee and almond croissant. The croissant is at least 3 days old. Hard as a rock and no flavor.
My organization recently placed a large, complicated order with Bloom Bakery - and Im so glad we did! Bloom Bakery was responsive, professional, and happy to accommodate many different dietary needs. Their food was affordable and high quality. And on top of it all, ordering from Bloom supports a valuable cause! I highly recommend Bloom Bakery for large event catering.
Love you Ellen Bruno
Had the best everything bagel in a long time while visiting Cleveland. I ordered it sliced with cream cheese. It had the perfect chew, lots of crunchy everything on it and a bit of salt too. Made fresh at the bakery... not to be missed if you like a really good bagel.
Food is bland. Coffee is gross. Service is so so.
When we saw the driver going the wrong way on our street, we yelled at him to turn around. Apparently his idea of fixing the situation was to floor it down the street where little kids play.
Best quick breakfast I have had in a long time. Fresh! Extremely fresh eggs, served on a croissant that is perfectly fluffy inside with a slight crunch on the outside. Its a good thing I dont work downtown or this place would claim half of my pay check each week! Delicious, awesome service as well.
Bread and sandwiches are outstanding!
I was going through Towards Employment for a job. I got a job without there help. But the guy at Towards Employment was basically ordering me to go get a job there . I have a full time job without their help. And its not at bloom bakery. I work for an Iron Chef now!
I had an issue but it was quickly fixed. I tried their carrot cake and it was AMAZING!!
Great baked goods. A must try for sure!
Customer service was awesome!
Went at around 11am because I was craving a bagel, only to find out they were completely out of bagels. I would have just been a little confused except I went back to my office and found out from coworkers that they are always running out of items in the menu. The food may taste delicious, but if you dont have all the ingredients its kind of useless.
Top notch product. Top notch people. Beautiful mission.
The food here is amazing and inexpensive. From the best sandwiches in Cleveland to savory and sweet baked goods to coffee that makes me wonder how the Starbucks next door stays in business, you cant go wrong. Add to that the corporate mission of helping people get back on track from misdirected life choices, and there is no better place to spend your dollars for something to eat or drink. Plus, after meeting them, youll wish the ladies running this location were your sisters or aunts. I always do!
Service couldnt have been better! Such sweet people. Bread was delicious!
Nice friendly staff that makes one hell of a bagel and lox sandwich!
Purchased asiago bread at the Cleveland Flea 7/14. At first, the bread was delicious until a hair was found in the center of the bread; then again when pulled apart. Had to throw the whole thing out. Someone needs to wear a hairnet or get the dog out of the kitchen.
Great staff and service.
The staff is friendly, welcoming and high energy. Their breakfast is good and affordable. The lunch there is a bit more pricy, but the quality is the same. Its a great, locally-owned place to grab breakfast in Cleveland.
Not much of a bakery but their sandwiches are tasty. I especially liked the cuban panini. Coffee was great as well.
I asked for a recommendation but got nothing. Cashier must have been having a super bad day. There was none of the friendliness I was expecting based on the reviews. Ended up ordering the breakfast sandwich and it was ok. Might go back to try pastries another time but probably wouldnt get the breakfast sandwich again.
Must try the Strawberry and Cheese Danish. 5 stars Yes
Fantastic customer service. Great food, I especially love their bread!
Ive been wanting to try Bloom, but Im always in a rush when Im downtown. I finally had some time today, so I stopped in. Im very glad that I did. Staff is amazing, very friendly and polite. I wanted a good cup of coffee and a small, delicious pastry. Thats exactly what I got, and so much more. I was amazed at the size of the dining/lounging area. Lots of comfortable chairs, sofas, tables, etc. It was lovely, relaxing, and inviting. Bathroom was spotless. Staff is so genuine and kind, they really made my day. Thank you, Bloom! I will be back, and I will bring friends!
Service can be a bit slow, but worth the wait. Order the BAP sandwich with bacon, you can thank me later! Nothing is bad here though, get some coffee or a cookie too, I had like an oatmeal chocolate chip cranberry walnut cookie last time and it was awesome.
This place was worth the walk from the Flats, where I work. After ordering the vegan sandwich, I was told that they were out of red peppers (one of the main ingredients). No big deal - I came in close to 1pm and it seemed like they had been pretty busy. Luckily Im not vegan, so I switched to the tuna salad sandwich and it was delicious. I wasnt sure what a scotch mist roll was, but I ordered it on that and have no regrets - it was amazing! Got a triple chocolate brownie to eat as a snack later today, but it looks so good it might be hard to wait. I will definitely be back here and recommend this place to others.
Service with a smile! Always something delicious to be found. Not many GF options. I recommended the beet salad, it is amazing!!
Warm, welcoming environment, staff were friendly and the food and coffee were great! Good prices too, great local place.
Great coffee!! Good service and nice ambience!
I only came here for a Yelp Elite event. The event was poorly run and did not showcase the main items of the bakery, the bread. I even requested a sample of the bread but none were forthcoming. So, they showcased the breakfast sandwich which would compare to a bad Egg McMuffin. And, the muffin itself was spongy and tasteless. I applaud the concept of the bakery and I applaud the mission. They hire people who need a leg up in life to help them get back into the main stream. I just wish the event had allowed us to sample what they are baking daily. If I am back in the area, I will return on my own to sample the bread to give them a fair chance for a valid review.
I came here for the coffee, but stayed for the baked goods! Great pastries and desserts, pretty good coffee. I love the employment philosophy of this place, too - it is part of why they get my business! Check their website for details.
Adorable decor, friendly staff and delicious food and coffee.
YESSSSS, BLOOM BAKERY. I was so excited to try this place, a great bakery with a great mission- & a great addition to downtown! Have I used the word "great" enough? OK, great. They have a limited amount of pastries to choose from - its not some giant, sprawling place - but everything they do have looks like pure art. It all looks borderline fake, like its a photograph in some rustic furniture magazine, or something, set atop a handmade burnished oak dining room table or something. Does that make sense? ITS ALL GORGEOUS-LOOKING,Luckily, it all seems to taste just as good. On my first trip, I bought a plain croissant, two molasses cookies, & a savory scone (cant remember what was in it, but definitely sun-dried tomatoes & some sort of cheese). I tried them all over the next 48 hours, & even not-quite-fresh-anymore, they were delicious. The molasses cookies are chewy & rich; the croissant was flaky & decadent; the scone was salty & soft, everything bursting with flavor.10/10 would eat every single pastry again. Looking forward to my next visit!
Little tricky parking situation but their coffee is really good and they work with towards employment which is a positive thing so I like to try to support them.
Bloom Bakery has great food, and the staff make you feel at home.
Excellent service and food. They also offer catering services. You will not be disappointed!
I cant speak for the food, but I was hoping the coffee would be on par with new craft coffee offerings (Which would be a nice change from the Starbucks next door). Thats unfortunately not the case. 3 stars in the java department.
I got breakfast here a few times while in town. Breakfast sandwich is great. They cook it right before counter.
This place is awesome! I honestly think it may be one of my favorite places to grab lunch in the Gateway District, which is an odd thing to say about place that has the word "Bakery" in its name. Usually, Id associate such a name with breakfast, and while they stay true to their name with plenty of pastries and yogurts, I still find myself drawn to the sandwiches and soup selection. The menu is vegan friendly, which is a significant plus, but slightly limited. There is only one vegan sandwich, which is delicious, so maybe the limiting factor doesnt matter as much. However, the soups typically involve chicken in some capacity, and I feel like having a veggy minestrone of some kind would be beneficial here. With that said, the chicken & dumpling soup is also delicious. If you couldnt care less about vegan or vegetarian diets, I highly recommend it. The sides (you get to choose one with each sandwich, or can be selected a la cartelend the meal a ot of variety. There is standard potato salad, all the way up to the more exotic fair, such as the quinoa salad (which is also amazing). If you are on the go, takeout is available, but if you have time to spare I highly recommend dining in. The interior is pleasant to be around, and there is plenty of seating to go around. The staff is very friendly, and promptly brings your food to where you are sitting while you set up shop at your table of choice. They regularly patrol the area, removing empty dishes and mugs as you finish them off. Music selection is relaxed, and not so loud as to be overbearing. The volume level is perfect. With an impressive variety of breads, pastries, drinks, and other treats, this place has a little bit of something for everyone. The prices are modest, and the food doesnt make you feel guilty after eating it. Did I mention that it is delicious? Because it is. Give this place a go, and I promise that you wont regret it.
Well I was loyal before but more loyal now. The staff of this wonderful downtown establishment helped me out of a jam this morning. Forever grateful.
Good sandwiches and donuts. Staff was friendly. Portions are on the small side, but they make up for it in quality.
The pastries are to-die for. Each week they have a new donut of the week which is always good to try. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful when choosing from the many great options. This is my new Saturday morning place to go!
Super nice staff, excellent lattes and an amazing scotch mist roll.
The baked goods are good, however, after going there twice early in the morning, during the week, they did not have a few items on the breakfast menu. It wasnt the case of running out (as it was 7:45am), but that they just didnt carry the items for an undisclosed reason. Also, for going at an earlier time in the morning, the trays of baked goods did seem to be picked over already. Wasnt "wow-ed" over my past two experiences.
Wonderful space and staff.
This place is awesome! The food is good, the people who work here are SO friendly and helpful with making a decision (everything on the menu looks yummy). Also perfect for those like myself who work from coffee shops. Its a super cozy environment.
Ive bought nummy munchables for the office 3 times now, and its ALWAYS been a huge hit! Today it was 3 different kinds of croissants - plain, almond, and (heaven on earth!chocolate!!By this afternoon, there wasnt so much as a molecule left.Blooms goodies are truly wonderful!! I hope this place thrives and prospers!!
Fantastic! Friendly, small and local. Delicious food. As a Brit living abroad it was great to see so many options that reminded me of home: from coronation chicken (never seen that in the US!to sausage rolls to Bakewell tarts. Yum. Great addition that I was able to purchase a pastry order for a future date for the office right then and there. Great service.
Bloom Bakery is everything I wanted it to be! It offers coffee, unique sandwiches, and small pastries and cakes. The food is delicious and just the right portions. The atmosphere is lovely with tables, a couch, and a faux fireplace. I will definitely be coming back!
