Blaker Brewing - Brewery in Modesto, United States
We went on a Saturday so they had a hot dog cart and they were the best hot dogs we’ve ever had. Also great live music Eric Fry. The best drink on the menu is a Pluot sour which the bartender let us know the owner grows the pluots on his farm.
Blaker crushed it. These guys had the best sours Ive had in years (and I worked for another brewery. The music by Eric was amazing, and Dog and out was also an amazing food choice. I WILL be back again.
Check to see if they will have a DJ playing before you go. If they do, go somewhere else because you wont be able to have a conversation with your friends without having to yell and say "what?". Even if you sit far away from the DJ you still wont be able to hold a conversation with your friends.Edit: after getting the reply from the owner stating they will give me a gift card if I change my review to 3 stars. I will not be going to this place again. I feel that is an unethical business practice. And yes, the service was bad. One of the employees was very passive aggressive to us after we asked if they could ask the DJ to lower the volume.
Really good atmosphere and crowd. Staff was super sweet especially when they saw our puppers walk up to the Bar.Thanks Ladies
Blaker Brewing is a brewery located in an industrial center. On the outside youll see a large grain silo in front of the brewery. The inside has an industrial meets rural feel with a large pull-up garage door as a side entrance and reclaimed wood on the walls. The craft beer is made from locally grown ingredients. Every sip of the Hidden Locus Hazy IPA was refreshing and delicious. I would recommend the brewery install air conditioning. The large air unit wasnt enough to cool the brewery. Your consumers would be more inclined to stay, than take their beer to go, if the inside temperature was comfortable. This is a great date spot with weather permitting. Grab a cold beer and get to know each other on the comfy leather couch. IG: SACRAMENTOHONEY
We had a birthday event in their building behind the brewery. Everything was great! Food, beer and it is a great place to have a large gathering. Only issue we had was we were not told that their wasnt any air conditioning. It was a lot of money to spend on an event where everyone was miserable. If we had know when we booked the event, we would have rented coolers or if they would offer it. We booked late July and we were telling people that it wasnt outside, as to not worry about the heat. We had a lot of elderly people and it was way too hot. People were polite and dealt with it, but when you are spending about $4500 it is very disappointing. If it wasnt for the 105 degree building, I would give 5 stars. My advice for anyone going to book it to rent coolers in advance and then everything will be great!!
Good service,.good beer, good scene. Food truck often available.
This is specifically in response to the review down rating for the handicap parking issue. I have an above knee amputation and found it there was plenty of accessible parking Street side with a ramps the owners constructed to enable accessibility for all from the street. I had no issue whatsoever accessing The Establishment and feel that the wheelchair would easily access it from the curb as well. I am grateful for those benches see the picture of me sitting on them its a very private corner. Great beer amazing atmosphere
They had a taco truck and the food was delicious. I ordered the MEAT Lager and it was also full bodied and delicious. Punk band playing was great too. 5 stars from a traveling Wisconsin boy.
Live band good beer and cornhole how can you go wrong.
Great experience overall. Nice beers and chill environment. The review would be 5 stars, but they block their handicap parking with benches to sit on. Not cool and might be against the law.
I was little disappointed honey babies was only Available on can 😭
Great beer, friendly staff and very open. Great bee spot 100%
Such a great venue! Families brought children for the early night dancing. :Amazing beer selections!
A hidden gem in the Central Valley, Blaker Brewing offers a glimpse into great craft beer right here in Ceres, CA. The location is a foray into the unknown areas of outer Ceres but the trip is worth it. The beers are good and offer more than youre right of the mill IPA but seem to have taken over every pub one visits these days. Great staff, great local food options and best of all, great beers...
I had previously tried their limited can releases, I got them at Save Mart, so I wanted to check it out. It wasnt busy on a Saturday afternoon but it wasnt dull and the beer is great. I had a rosemary shandy that was refreshing and intriguing. The Mandys shandy made my taste buds dance.
I pick up Uber passengers from this location all the time and everyone says its awesome. Hope to try it soon. Ill update my review once I do.
Blakers Brewing located in Ceres California is a great spot to meet up and hang out. They have a huge outside area which is great to bring the whole family and let the kids run around. The beers are pretty tasty here and they had a food truck with amazing food going on. I posted a picture so everyone could enjoy. I would definitely suggest this place to anyone thats over the age of 21. Very cool atmosphere and great staff. They kept the place nice and clean and were very friendly and helpful. I will be going back again.
Blaker is always great! It wasnt open for sitting but grabbed a few to gos for a party and they were very enjoyable. Great move puttin the "Fat Beer in a Little Can" in a little can. Cause 16oz. of that deliciousness could be dangerousness 😏
Its good local beer. Too light for me most of the time though. Also too hot. They need to put it up more awnings or something. For me to complain about the heat means it was too hot (cause I love the heat).
It was a great place to stop in and get some good beers. Plus they had the FOOD FIX truck cooking up all the food outside. And I must say...the food was amazing!!They have different food trucks show up.First time there, and it was full of people. But not to worry, they got a nice outside covered area to sit. With heaters, tables and benches.
was sold 2 cans of vanilla bean milk stout as it was not on tap, but was not told until after I purchased them that I cant open or drink them on the property and if I wanted something to drink Id have to buy something different. beer was good though.
Easily my favorite local brewery. The owner Tom is really friendly and welcoming and so is all the staff! The Vanilla Bean Stout is my favorite next to Pineapple Milkshake. They have different food trucks come on different days so you can mix it up and they throw a ton of events!
We were at a concert at The State last night & I bought your honey ale. Fyi I love ales. Love it!!!!! Loved that slight honey flavor. We hope to come visit your brewery
Went on a Sunday, they had unlimited tacos for $10. The beer was good, especially the honey baby. I would avoid the beef tacos as the meat is stringy but the chicken and pork were great. Place overall is really nice, highly recommend it.
So I was driving from South Gate Brewing in Oakhurst to Sacramento and started having car troubles. I needed to pull over and wait for roughly 30min and found this place on Google Maps.... Im glad I did. The 2 woman at the bar were both great, the beer was solid and the place is pretty awesome. I tried 5 beers..... all decent but the 2 Stouts stood out. Its a bit off the normal path but if you are in the area you should stop by.
Had to try several samples before finding one that was okay. They seemed to have lots of IPAs, so if thats your thing.... Good music at a reasonable volume to have a conversation. Very nice & professional bartender. Selling ayce tacos, but not sure of what else might be available. Would return if in the area.
Very cool spot with a great beer selection. Im from out of town and found it though Google so I stopped by. Service is great and very friendly. Awesome patio and as I was leaving a taco truck pulled up. Wish I had more time. Seems like they have events here too.
Its a very chill spot to grab a beer on a Friday after work. They had plenty of sitting space and a food truck that was providing food for those who had an appetite. The beer selection was awesome and to plenty to choose from. The bathrooms were clean and of the energy in the main lobby was awesome. They offered two TV screens to show the current sports game.
Love, love, love Blaker Brewing in Ceres, CA! Seriously, I did not want to leave the place!Blaker Brewing is locates a little off the beaten path. Kind of an industrial/rural section, if that makes any sense. To me, the location is perfect. Plenty of parking, no traffic...awesome.First, the craft beer kills! No doubt about it! I started with a flight of 4 and then a second flight of 4 and then a tulip glass with more of their divinely brewed goodness.Double Danker, You’re Killin’ Me Smalls, and Big Nothin’ were stand outs to me. Those are, respectively, an Imperial IPA, a Milk Stout, and a Scotch Ale.The bartenders are friendly and helpful. The inside space is comfy and brewery chic. The outside area is inviting. They had some heaters fired up to take the chill off. There was even a Food Truck outside which I regret not getting to because it looked awesome too.If you haven’t figured out by now, I definitely did myself a favor by stopping here. If you’re a craft beer fan, Blaker Brewing is a huge win!
Loved it! We came early on Friday, 5:30, and it wasnt crowded at all. Nice selection of beers. My favorites are the vanilla bean stout and the Pom beer. Tonight was the Food Fix truck and their food is amazing. Atmosphere is relaxed and we had fun playing some of the available board games. Highly recommend!
Great experience, I didnt expect this type of environment in Modesto Area. Good atmosphere and everything was upbeat and relaxing. Go there if you want to relax or just socialize with everyone!
Brewery tasting room with catered food options segment. No kitchen on site. Thursday through Sunday, it seems external food catering services are in-house (see photo). A corner of the brewery has a modern minimalist tasting area set up. The great service boosted them to 4 star status. Quality microbrew on tap. Monitors with sports live. Outdoor seating area available. A solid option for the Ceres area.
Updated 9 months after opening: Homey, authentic; Craft. Blaker has evolved very quickly into an excellent local hangout. Outdoor patio has been added with a huge overhang that creates a nice outdoor room through the open garage door (keeps the sun from being oppressive in the summer months too.Patio has outdoor heaters and it seems all-you-can-eat tacos for $10 are available most weekends, and they are above average quality. The vanilla bean milk stout is good, and the pineapple milkshake ipa is a very drinkable beer. Bring healthy appetite for lots of good local brews. New beers are on rotation frequently. Keep up the good work Blaker!!!
Good tasting beers and a nice patio. The music was good and the Oakie Nachos tasty. Well come back in the summer when we can bike here and enjoy more beer.
Ive been a fan of them since their Big Nothin wee heavy at cv brewfest 2016. Some of the best beers in the world!
Wow this place is going to do major things in the Central Valley and beyond. Tom and TK have the right ingredients, local farm raised goodness.Measure XBig NuthinTinCan CourierPlowed UnderFestaHoney BabiesSome of my FavsThe crew at Blaker Brewing are happy friendly and knowledgeable people. I always enjoy my time at the fastest growing craft beer faculty in the Central Valley.
Finally a place in Ceres that has a variety of food and the best craft beer in the valley. The staff is extremely friendly. There may occasionally be a line for beer, this is not an order over someone’s shoulder kind of place, but is worth the wait. You will probably end up talking to someone in line bout the delicious beer or one of the amazing food trucks/vendors that come in. Great crowd, no problems and a nice location right outside of town. May be the best reason to come to Ceres.
Great place, great BEER. Lots of choices.Nice and cozy atmosphere.Staff is excellent.Best part, its local.i love helping out the new guy. Please visit these guys, its well worth it.Ill be returning many more times.
This place is awesome. It is a very kickback atmosphere, they have a food truck and sometimes they have pizza cooked on a bbq grill. I have not had a beer from them that I did not like. The Big Nuthin is awesome and so is their Almond Brown. I usually have 2 growlers filled because it is hard to choose just one. I just wish that they carried 3x and 4x shirts. Us big guys are left out. So a request to the owner, please carry larger size shirts please.
Great beer. Very warm inside but they had fans running that made it tolerable, they do up the noise so not the best place for a quiet conversation. Limited searing but a fun comfortable environment.
I loved this place! A bit out there and if you think youre lost, youre not..kinda in an industrial area. Open concept, kid friendly..didnt notice any pets. The misters were perfect and thoughtful for outdoor seating. Pizza may be the only food served at this time. Not a beer drinker? (like me)..they also have hard cider. Just looking for a relaxing afternoon to sit a spell? This place fits the bill.
Cool place!! Nice to have something new and fresh like this in Ceres!!! Very friendly staff. I liked the overall look and feel of the place. They had the $10 unlimited tacos today, which were pretty delicious. Will definitely be adding this to my list of regular places to visit.
This place is awesome! Finally a great place with killer beer and a fantastic atmosphere in Ceres. They hit the ball out of the park. The friendly vibe and welcoming attitude is what puts this place on top.
Blakers is as good as it gets. The beer does not disappoint and is the reason craft breweries are so popular. Ive tasted every beer and theres not a beer I havent thoroughly enjoyed. The stout, the porter, the IPAs (especially the NEIPA)--heck, even the lager is good. Great crowd, good after work/weekend hangout and a nice vibe in the room make this place special.
Its awesome that we have a local brewery! Great beer, awesome staff, and they bring in great food vendors!
Showed up on the grand opening. Tried a couple different brews. Excellent beer! Ill be back soon to try them all. They are a great addition to the valley and the beer world.
Great brewery! Awesome environment! Locally owned brewery, ran by guys that love being creative. Go there have a pint or two, you wont regret it.
Rolled in here for the soft opening and was greeted by the owners/brewers. They were super friendly and you can tell they loved their craft. On the day I went in, there were 9 beers on tap, so I got them all (as you would expect if you follow my reviews lol). OF the 9, most were above average, I think 3 were top notch. Those 3 were their vanilla milk stout, Almond Brown and the honey blonde. The decor on the place was chill with plenty of seating and space, including some possible space to expand in the future. We also got a brewery tour and had a nice discussion with their brewmaster about the plans and the future. Looking forward to coming back after their grand opening, and bringing friends :)
Tyler and Tom know what theyre doing. It shows in the facility, and it DEFINITELY shows in the beer. Try the wee heavy, you wont be disappointed!
