Blakemere Village - Tourist attraction in Leek, United Kingdom
An awesome place to spend the weekend with the kids, plenty to do, ample parking, great food too.
It is a good place to visit with fascinating shops , the antique emporiums well with a visitFood was good size portions and the carvery good value . Though the Turkey was dry but still tasted goodA good day out , we missed out on outdoor activities as it was a rainy day but will be going back to explore more
Always a delight to visit, great finds to be had in the antique shops. Small curiosity shops are lovely too, could easily spend a few hours here.
Not too many shops open but the shops that are there are lovely. Lots of artisan and craft shops, and a great antiques centre
Loved the village,1st time there didnt get to do everything will have to go back to finish the tour 😃
Had a great afternoon with the grandkids for the Pirate Halloween trail and had a brilliant brunch at Steve’s Artisan Experience. Looking forward to going back for a walk around the units.
This event was nice and entertaining, we didnt let the rain dampen the experience. We have been to numerous of these events and this was up there (the best being the Royal Botanical Gardens in Edinburgh)There were marshmallows to cook over log fire pits which was nice.I would recommend coming here to family and friends
This is a lovely location, pleanty for everyone, gift shops, cafés, a beautiful restaurant too. Crazy golf, Segway rides and childrens fairground rides. Pleanty of parking.Antiques in two large halls. What a great place!I particularly liked the Pau Run Ride shop.😉
Great night at the Halloween lights. My daughter loved it. Great evening for families
A good number of small independent shops plus a choice of places to eat. Lunch at Steves Artisan Experience was very good and reasonably priced plus it offered a childrens menu. The miniature railway rides were excellent value and great for the kids.
Nice shops and really went to town on the Halloween decorations, just looked more than there actually is on social media etc. still worth a visit though. The pub there had really lovely food and great service.
Really nice food, atmosphere and light show, well worth the money. Would like to go back for xmas but its fully booked.
Freshest day out with lots to do! Free entry to the main site where we had delicious toasties for breakfast, followed by scrummy cup cakes & luscious hot chocolates whilst my friend and her son painted pretty pottery.
Absolutely amazing place with lots of seasonal events on, all of which I highly recommend - the magical woodlands walks are one of our favourites 😍
Lovely shopping day for all ages .all staff friendly some good bargains if you look hard.
After what started off as a disaster of a weekend at blakemere holiday touring park and us having to leave after 5 hours.I really never wanted to return to blakemere holiday village again. But I am so glad we did. I cannot thank the blakemere social enough for giving us an amazing night. The service was first class couldn’t do enough for you. The entertainment and atmosphere was just what we wanted for my daughters birthday. I cannot recommend the social side enough it was everything I expected and more. Thankyou for an amazing night.(Just a shame we couldn’t off had the full weekend we had planned. But it was well worth the drive back )If looking for somewhere abit different then this is the place and Delermere touring park is not to far away.
Perfect place for spending time with family, lots off attractions and magical woodland with amazing light shows...
After a disastrous experiance in the restaurant the next day I called to complain. The family didn’t want to complain on the day as it was a birthday. After 3 weeks, still no one took up my complaint. I emailed. Nothing. I eventually spoke to someone who promised to call me back as she was driving. When she called me back I explained my frustration and the challenges we had in the restaurant. I was told she had been expressly told by the executive team to follow up my complaint. She also said the executive team was willing to refund me in full for the meals but as I had left a negative review on Tripadvisor they were prepared to do nothing.I did make it quite clear when I explained the problems I was not looking for anything other than an apology.Just goes to show how shallow and righteous some companies are. Complete lack of respect for the customer. An exec team expecting a trainee to deliver their decision. Cowardly and quite frankly disgusting behaviour. You should be ashamed of yourselves. I’m still waiting for someone to say sorry
Lovely site even though it was full it was so relaxing and friendly. Well kept site with very helpful staff and well cleaned toilets and shower block. Will definitely visit again.
Great place for the whole family, fairground rides for the kids, food, drink, antiques, birds of prey, and lots more. Perfect day out every time I go.
Could do with better cafes, shops looking a bit dated now this site needs a revamp, some new shops and better catering. otherwise an interesting outing with small funfair, good place to take small kids.
Good for families with all the fair rides and activities, not the place to go for a quiet weekend.Facilities were clean and well stocked.Shop was all you need for anything you might have forgotten.Pubs and restaurants on site for those wishing to eat and drink out.
If you like to mooch around craft and antique shops, this is a lovely location. A few of the shops have closed since we were last here, presumably due to Covid and spiralling costs. I hope some will come back in the future because we love visiting here.
Enjoyed a couple of hours here with friend and dog , most stores dog friendly, bought a couple of gifts, , then went for small walk in woods with friend and dog which he seemed to really enjoy , we found it pleasant too , paths very clean and well kept , enjoyed lunch at The Village Restaurant , I opted for the shredded duck wrap which was scrumptious and friend opted for a steak which was cooked to her liking , reasonably priced, staff very friendly and welcoming too
Nice place to spend a few hours. Some nice little shops, Karma Times, cake shop and two fabulous antique/memorabilia type shops. Restaurant has been upgraded since my last visit which is nice. Had lunch there and enjoyed it very much.
Nice showers and facilitiesPlenty dog walksHard standing .Tent pitches.Plenty for children to do
Very picturesque village purpose made with many very attractive shops selling variety of gifts and vintage keepsakes. Fairground area for the children and cafe area to get refreshed. Only regret is we didnt have time to stay longer.
Good afternoon visit for adults or children mini fairground although £20 if you want to do all the rides, nice shops with some unusual gifts two large antique barns packed full of interesting stuff for both young and old, pottery shop to paint your own pot lovely staff friendly and welcoming activity for all ages. A cafe on site good selection of all types of dishes average price. Free carpark with lots of space.
First time weve visited here and pleasantly surprised. Plenty to see and look around. Has entertainment for children too, free parking and very clean. Will definitely come again, if youve not been before its well worth a visit
Lovely country village which National Holidays use on their tours for an hours visit. Funfair for the younger children, craft centre, various gift shops and plenty of food and drink available for all tastes.
Unfortunately a lot of the shops have closed but still a few good different ones trading . Fairground for children open daily and a nice meal can be purchased. Parking is free, there is a nice touring park next to it. Plenty for children indoor play barn, birds of prey, fair, activity centre
Great little retail village with some interesting shops. There are also plenty of leisure activities as well but sadly we didnt have the time to enjoy them, well worth looking on their website for full details though.
We go here regularly for pond fish food. Its a great place for children too. Theres always something for them to do. My great grandchildren love it when they go with their mum and dad. I would recommend Blakemere to anyone. If you have not already visited, I would recommend that you do
We hadnt been to Blakemere since well before covid. Very pleasantly surprised, some of the bigger units had changed for the better, although better. Food has massively improved in the restaurant and there are addition takeaway eateries too.Really enjoyed the afternoon, will go back soon.
Lots to , lots to see lovely little shops and a couple of curio shops where you are taken back with all the old, reasonably priced items which will certainly wake up you memory. Lovely eateries, falconry fairground for the kids and a nice woodland walk all in all a great place to visit
I have nt been to the village since covid and though there were a few surprises and changes since my last visit,The village set to have kept most of it shops in one form or another. The only casualty I noticed gone was the Yankee candles unit as gone from the courtyard area, I could nt find it at all. Everything else was there in some form. The area in general seems more geared up for children. And the micro brewery is dog friendly and a lot larger seating area, and the beers are now in pump form instead of just bottles. I will definitely being going back.
Great day out . So much more here than I expected as it has been over ten years since my last visit . Could have easily spent another couple of hours there . Lots to do n see . Loads for your kids to do and the vintage shop bursting with memories .
The Village is phonomenal ❤️ with so many activities and shops to visit you will need more than just one day. We went to the magical woodland and it was amazing. We will be going back soon.
What a fabulous place! A great variety of shops from pets to crafts. There is also a lovely cafe in the court yard, an artisan cafe, fab staff and delicious cakes! Great place for children and adults.
Fab team building day with work and then food and drink in the tiepee. Only issue was the staff had locked us in when trying to leave the car park at 20:00 !! Food great company fab, location lovely
Love Blakemere come here alot for pet supplies and general shopping, got a beautiful lamp, restaurant is great, friendly staff amazing food and a pleasant time all together for all the family.
Absolutely love Blakemere touring park and village, there is just everything there that you could want. Will keep going back and back and back. Thanks to all the staff , 👌👍
Beautiful for a visit, with kids so many activities.I personally enjoy the walks and the train ride.Lovely restaurants and bars. There is always something fun going on ( circus festival etc is a lovely place to hang out with friends and family.
Fabulous evening that will remain in the memories of my wife and most importantly our Grandchildren for the rest of our lives. They even managed to organise for us to walk around in a snow laden Magical Wonderland absolutely priceless! Thank you!
Amazing time at the lights last night. Very fun interesting displays.. the fair is good for young kids with food and drink stalls. They have a cafe nearby and different craft shops. The staff are very friendly and informative. Get yourself down for Christmas!
The magical woodland was amazing! Huge variety of activities to do there, good covid measures, all staff were friendly and helpful very good night thank you
We went for Halloween - did a zombie pirates treasure trail with the kids then saw the "Magical Woodland" light and sound display in the evening. The woodland was very good (if very long and not that suitable for pushchairs- a couple of the activities/sights were broken or not working due to a power cut so we didnt get the full effect bit it was still pretty and worthwhile. The zombie pirate trail was disappointing. It was sold as "a treat" for the kids at the finish but the "treat" was an activity pack... And you had to go into a sweet shop to collect said treat. So guess how guilty all the parents felt saying "no you cant have any sweeties" - therefore everyone ended up buying sweets for their kids. I try to limit my sons sugar intake so this was unnecessary and somewhat unwelcome and felt like a cruel sales pitch. Quite off-putting and if the Magical Woodland hadnt been so good theyd be getting 3 or even 2 stars off the back of that bad decision.
We have been to Blakemere village many times but having recently got a family puppy we have just started doing little walks around the wooded area around the train track. Pet friendly walk with lots of water bowls dotted around the village too. Always look forward to a delicious ice cream afterwards.
This is a really wonderful place. I came here on a mystery tour coch trip and was surprised. Ive never hear of it at all but its great. Something for everyone. Shops, tea room, brewery, bar, ice cream shop, restaurant, soft play, adventure park etc. Staff were all friendly and kind especially the ladies in Salsa! We brought quite a bit of lovely silver jewellery here. Definately worth a visit.
Fantastic Christmas Wonderland at Blakemere Village. The characters were brilliant and a really good family day was had! Wand making was a nice change but the ice skating was very disappointing! Wet plastic tiles does not constitute an ice rink! Food was reasonably priced and quite a lot of choice. Definitely worth a visit!
