Blackwater Park in Navan

Excellent for walks

Lovely spot for a walk 😊

Great for a walk or run, can get busy at times and hard to find parking at peak hours, the the pitches are pretty good for training practices

Blackwater playground is too too small,not enough space ,not enough swings,no zip line no toddlers area.No toilets ,no picnic benches. Really for the total size of the park area playground is stuck between an area of boulders??? and a building site .Trim playground was properly thought out and planned for suitability for all age children and adults to relax and enjoy .(no toilets but Aldi across the road .More in St Patricks playground. BACKWATER PLAYGROUND IS NEED OF HUGE IMPROVEMENT.

Great spot for a walk. But if your a dog lover kept your dog on a lead.. or you will be reported.Which has happened alot here.I really dont know why they couldnt develop a doggie park😀 let the dogs runfree. Owners pick up dogs poo etc.. make sense..

Such a beautiful place ,lovely to see the playground for the younger kids and the different pitches for the older ones to practice their football or Ruby and so dog friendly and clean and the one thing I love the most is when you walk near the river you can sit and relax and look at the old mill pure history, I would highly recommend there and even if you dont know who walking by its such a friendly and calming place everyone always has hello for you

There is not enough bins and the amount of rubbish is concerning, for such a known park it is not well kept, but apart from that it is a very nice park, it is dog friendly, has benches, playground, exercise area, goal posts, free dog poo bags I would recommend.

Great public park and only regional park in meath as far as I know. Has everything, playground which could do with an improvement, Riverside walk and banks, meadow areas and wooded areas all together. Beautiful anytime of the year.

Fabulous Asset to the Community. Excellent Play Facilities for children, huge pitch to play ball, great exercise area for adults and a Beautiful walk suitable for everyone, dog friendly also.

Nicely-kept park, could do with lots of trees and other flora being planted! The dirt trails are peaceful to walk along.

Nice view of the old mill from the park. Loads of hidden routes out of it to fields etc. Love the walks

Be nice if there were more things for younger kids in the playground. And having hand sanitizer going into and out of the playground.

Good park for bikes I go there most times and the bike trails are never that busy.There are lots of trails and a footpat going around the park.

There is a few things that needed to be addressed for Blackwater Park. 1.Public Toilets, 2 Volunteers to do park wardons since the local council are to mean to employ anyone. 3.The dog fouling is gone behond a joke at this stage. 4.There are a few lights that still are not working that need to be addressed, other than that this park is a fantastic fiscility for everyone if only everyone pulled there weight. There are signs up to let people know how to control their dogs at all times, there are dog poo bags provided, so theres no need for your dog to soil everywhere. Also I would personally like to mention on long bank holiday weekends the Navan local county council should have someone on stand-by, to empty the bins of rubbish, its a total disgrace to see papers and plastic bottles blowing round the park after all our hard work to try to keep the our park tidy.when all the above are addressed I would definitely give 5 Stars.

Lovely place for a walk with the family.its buggy and wheelchair friendly with a playground for younger kids also.

Good place to spend an hour or so. However a lot more planting would make the place nicer, in places the park still looks a bit like a building site.

Its a nice park but I think it still needs a lot of work done. The play ground could do with better stuff in it for smaller kids. More plants could be added to the park.

Its a well kept park. The tarmac path is a 1k circuit so good for runners. Plenty of parking. Playground is good with lots of climbing frames. Suited for older kids.The park has a path down to the Blackwater river.

Such a great community area. Wonderful for kids with a park and open spaces to play sports. Great for adults to walk and run. Also great place to walk dogs, with loads of bins.

Nice park but lacks , toilets picnic benches and a much bigger play area for the kids not big enoughfor the amount of children who use it needs a cycle lane 👎🏻

This is a beautiful park located just outside Navan town centre. The pathway is all tarmacadam and has a bit of an incline on one half but the views of the town and the nearby river blackwater make it a lovely spot for a short walk with kids. Theres also a playground on the grounds near the carpark.

This park is really good for kids, dogs owners, athletes, elderly people and to be honest for everyone. You can find there a playground and few pitches for football plus you can just take a walk around the whole park. And car park is available.

Wonderful facility in navan town. Playground for kids. Soccer, Gaelic, rugby pitches. Running / walking track ample room for dogs to run free. Very clean and safe.

Brilliant time for adventurous kids, better for kids older than 4, best for kids older than about 8! Well maintained and close to plenty of parking and a decent walk for the grown ups
