Blacktail Ridge in Creston

This is a great accommodation. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The owners are great. Lovely view. Three rooms. Full kitchen. 2 bathrooms. Dining room and comfortable living room. BBQ on deck.

We fell in love with 55 acre of sprawling property with excellent panoramic view #Blacktrail Ridge Lodge and the way it has been maintained. Debbie and Dean are super host. They took care of our every needs. On site Cherry tries full of cherries and other tries Rasberries plants were treat to eyes. Best place for couple of families to enjoy quiteness of nature and available activities around…..

Attentive hosts, well appointed with everything you could possibly need and more! It is not the most modern but it was immaculately clean, lots of room and beds were super comfortable. Beautiful views and so quiet! Yet close to town and closer to the lake. Deer came to the door and hummingbirds were a morning treat even in the heat. Cant wait to go back!

Came to relax, unwind and experience nature. Our stay was exceptional. Our hosts went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. The Guest House was clean and equipped with everything we needed. We woke up to deer and wild turkeys on the lawn and sat on the deck to enjoy breathtaking views while listening to the sounds of crickets and birds chirping. We experienced everything we came for!

Dean & Debbie are amazing, super friendly hosts with a family friendly atmosphere. Theyre very accommodating to anyone and dont hesitate to help out with almost anything.<br/>The location is spectacular with amazing views. Theres wildlife everywhere on the property from wild Turkey to Deer.<br/>My friend and I stayed for a week in the trailer at the top of the property on a hunting trip, and it couldnt have been more comfortable and affordable. Everything was clean and well-maintained. The beds were super comfy too!<br/>The Columbia Valley has an abundance of wildlife and amazing fishing.<br/>If youre hunting, theres a walk-in cooler to hang game at a very reasonable price. Theres also an onsite butcher available.<br/>If youre fishing, Dean is a licensed guide and will hook you up!<br/>If you want to get away from the stresses of big city life and enjoy a calm, scenic getaway this is the place!<br/>Ill definitely be coming back!

Dean and Debbie are the absolute nicest people! This was a business stay and I cannot say how much I enjoyed staying here; both myself and my coworker from Edmonton were really pleased with this find.I have some very specific praise to give:1. The views are barre-none some of the best Ive ever had in a stay, anywhere. Truly tremendous vistas. The Creston valley is one of the most beautiful places in southern BC, and if youre looking for a quiet getaway they have both a cabin and an RV which you can rent (or both!We stayed in the cabin, and its just great!2. The hospitality is amazing. Ill say it again, Dean and Debbie are fantastic hosts and the property is amazing. They also offer boat tours, hunting advice, and can tell you anything youd want to know about the area. Real quality people. I will definitely be going back.3. This is the ideal place to base some excursions into the Northern US. Not only is it an incredibly comfortable stay, If youre planning to explore, do some shopping, or just see the country Creston is only 10-15km from the US border. Just remember to bring your passport.4. Easy to book and great for groups: You can book their cabin and RV through multiple avenues: Expedia, Travelocity, AirBNB, or directly through their website. Really great, and i cant overstate the value. The cabin has three large bedrooms; two queens and a king. If you want a getaway for yourselves and the kids, or for you and two other couple-friends, this is a great place to go.5. Local wildlife. Deer, wild turkeys, and elk just walk out onto the property. Its a usual experience to wake up and find wildlife just wandering the yard. Adds a real nice, cozy feel to the place to just sit on the patio sipping coffee watching the turkeys meander past.Honestly, I cant say enough about this place.10/10, will do again.

Lovely views, great hosts, quiet area, and comfy beds!

Boat tours are professionally run and awesome! We have been working with Captain Dean for a couple of years and everything has been great!

All I can say is WOW.from the moment we pulled in to the lodge until we said see ya next time , our stay was amazing.Our hosts Dean and Debbie were there for everything we needed and more .The care package of local products that was waiting for us was great , the lodge was impeccably clean and all the appliances worked well .The kitchen was stocked with everything needed to make a sandwich or cook a turkey dinner with all the trimmings if you wanted too.The garden and grounds around were clean kept and mowed .Waking up to turkeys and deer feeding on the property each morning was amazing the views out the front over the valley are unreal.seven of us (my two sons , our international student from China , my father in law , and two friends stayed for 4 nights , no one felt cramped up there was plenty of room for all of us.Dean and Debbie have a vast knowledge of the local area and can point you in any direction based on what you want to do (also recommended the best pizza in town warehouse pizza .I have stayed in the best accommodations that whistler can offer to the worst hole in the wall for work and the the blacktail lodge beats all of them by far .Plans are already in the making for a return trip and can’t wait to get back.Thank you dean and Debbie for making us feel like family.

Great little getaway location near Creston, BC. Everything was clean and as advertised. The hosts were friendly and accommodating. We will stay here again if it is available next year.

Very nice place

My crew and I spent 2 months staying at Blacktail Ridge Lodge in late 2017. We couldnt of asked for a better place to stay in the area. The place was comfy, private and clean. Debbie & Dean were very accommodating and provided for us everything we needed. We all look forward to staying there again!

We spent a week here while visiting family during Thanksgiving, and found this to be such a beautiful location! We really felt at home, and everything was so clean. So much better than staying in a hotel. Our dogs loved running around the property off leash. My wife enjoyed sitting out at night watching the deer walk by, and we both really enjoyed the fire pit on some cool October nights. Best of all, the hospitality Debbie and Dean showed us was fantastic. We would highly recommend Blacktail Ridge and will definitely stay there again.

My wife Sarah and I just got back from a fantastic time at Blacktail Ridge. Dean (not Neil..inside joke), were amazing hosts and run an excellent B&B. They kept in touch and returned texts and messages quickly. They were very accommodating to our party and we highly recommend staying here. They pride themselves on not only giving you a great place to stay but making sure your needs are exceeded.The views are beautiful, and the location second to none. Just returned from my 3rd stay at Blacktail Ridge and the hospitality of Dean and Deb and the beauty of the area make it harder and harder to leave. The guesthouse has 3 large bedrooms and all amenities you would expect in a home. It is far enough away from the main house for privacy (but close enough to the mainhouse if you need anything from the hostsand has a great view of the Creston flatsIf youre a nature lover, the East Kootenays is the place to come as I have viewed more variety and numbers of animals than in all my other travels through the province.I have already booked 2 other stays later this year including one with another family. Everyone is looking forward to an ecotour and some fishing on Kootenay Lake. Miss you already Blacktail Ridge!

If you are looking for a true, amazing Creston and Kootney experience, you have to go to Blacktail Ridge and visit Dean and Debbies. What a truly amazing setup. They are wonderful people. It felt like we were staying with family. You get a whole house to yourself. 3 bedroom self contained unit. Lots of privacy. Everything you could ever want. Views of the mountains and valley flats. Elk, deer and many other critters on your door step. You are in nature but have all amenities and then some. Full kitchen, gorgeous deck with BBQ, laundry facilities, internet access and wonderful Kootney coffee. Lots of parking and room for larger vehicles and RVs. If you are there for fishing or hunting, full walk in cooler is available too. If you are looking for an experience like no other, stay at the Black Tail ridge. Experience of a lifetime.
