Old-fashioned pub offering Irish eats, plus karaoke, DJs & live music, in easygoing surroundings.
Luv the staff, always accommodating, food, yum!
Their menu was missing half the entrées. All I wanted was something to eat, but the bouncer made me pay the cover charge for the less than ideal rock band that screeched more than sang. The pickle chips are massive pickle medallions with barely any coating on them. I wasnt impressed.
a lot of time is wasted for Delivery GH and uber 😡😡😡😞
Omg! I wish they would get Eight to the Bar. Back. They were so much fun!!One of the best places to see live LOCAL bands. The lights & sound are wicked. Drink slingers are fast and accurate. Waitresses are cute and friendly and as always helpful. Food is great. And prices are reasonable. The owners are cool and mingle a bit. But not too much..if you know what I mean... Cant say enough. Good stuff about this place.!!!
Blackstone Pub... whats going on??? Not honoring Doordash anymore??? 2 attempts at placing orders and canceled both times. Lying about not getting the order even when the driver is there to pick up and confirms the order... driver even made the attempt and since you were too busy chit chatting and on your phone you still refused the order... sad!!! These orders were for local healthcare heroes too...
Great restaurant. The waitress was very pleasant . She took my order quickly. My late lunch was delicious.
Huge waste of time going out of my way to stop here. They don’t even open on the times it shows on the door.
Excellent food and drinks, ambiance is great and the live music is really good.
Had the most delicious bowl of French Onion soup for a light dinner before BINGO!❤ service was phenomenal and if I won bingo it would have been a perfect night!!! Great local bar with a gorgeous patio area and a retractable wall opening up to the great outdoors made me happy too!❤ highly recommended 👌
Went to dinner on a Tuesday evening, was seated on arrival, was very quiet all evening. Standard pub fare. I had shepherds pie, was excellent. Will be returning soon. The pub is along side the Farmington Canal Heritage Trail and would make a nice post ride/walk stop.Pub opens at 3 pm.
Disappointed this time. My French onion soup was cold. The wings tasted like they were dropped in the fryer frozen. Both items were totally disappointing. The only good thing we had was nachos.
I pulled into the TA, had 2 days to burn before delivery and hit Google maps and found this gem in walking distance. Was greater by Thao, bartender....like I was a local. Ate the Shepards Pie Sliders and Cod Taco....WOW...Def be back. Great Service and patrons where awesome. Great spot to swing thru...Thao, bartender was amazing...Hope to see you all soon
Whoever the female bartender was for St. Patrick’s day was EXTREMELY rude! Literally got ignored multiple times after waiting patiently whilst she was walking around doing absolutely nothing. Apparently she got offended by me raising my index finger finally to get her attention and she made it known blatantly to the other bartender. Wished she would have used that time she was complaining to actually taking my order.
Food drinks and service was great looking forward to going back soon
Pretty good. Mondays are slow so I got all the attention. Had the fish and chips and they were delightful. The french onion soup was pretty good but the bread that was in it kinda got in the way. Give it a shot.
Yummy drinks and bartender Kelsey was excellent! 80s night and the band was awesome...will definitely be back
Nice Irish pub. Great people with great attitudes. Will definitely return if in the neighborhood again.
I had a small gathering here for a memorial in the upstairs section of the place .. staff was good , nice space and set up. the private section had plenty of tables and their own Juke box . Food was good, No complaints . Our server was nice and helped everyone accordingly, i wish I remember her name but she worked on Sunday the 5 th of September. The downstairs section was good looking, nice Big tvs . And a good bar selection . I really enjoyed this place and I definitely recommend .
This place was a little confusing. The staff were very lovely, and they tended to us fine. But the atmosphere and the food werent that good. Maybe we went on a bad day, or maybe its just not our cup of tea, but my fiance and I wont be back.
They were a bit overwhelmed at the time and short a server, but the meal was good and we enjoyed the music.
Great food, great service and great environment. Happened to be trivia night the night we went for my birthday, didnt score so well, but it was an awesome night.
I was out driving and had a Guinness craving and was hungry. I enjoyed Blackstone Irish Pub, food was better than I was expecting, really enjoyed all I had. I sat at the bar had service almost immediately, I had Irish Nickels, Pub Style Fish and Chips ( really nice piece of fried Cod), and I dont even know the name of dessert, just know it was killer.Cant wait to return and try Guinness Braised Short Rib.Thanks for a really nice 1st visit.
Even though it was not busy whatsoever, I had to ask my waiter 3 times for my beer. Then I tried to order an Irish coffee from the menu & he said “oh we haven’t had those for a while, we don’t have coffee.” Then I chose 3 other drinks, all of which he said “we haven’t had in years” even though it was on the beer menu on the table. Then I ordered fried pickles and he gave me a sandwich instead.
Food was terrible. Walking in you can smell that the fryolator oil was old and in need of changing, plus people were smoking everywhere. Looked like a great and friendly spot for local bar regulars but I would not go there for anything else.
Waited 10 minutes and had to go ask for menus then when our food got to the table there was a hair in the soup and the shepherds pie was nauseating. All I could taste was worcestershire sauce. Made me sick after a couple bites so all in all will not be returning. Genuinely disappointed.
This is a very cool spot to grab dinner n drinks, and see a live show! Plenty of parking, easy to find, and lots of seating inside too. The steak dinner was fantastic, the servers were friendly, and the stage was good for seeing a show! Will definitely come back again!
We loved the garlic pretzel knots for an appetizer, and for meals, the Mac and cheese and wings are awesome! This is a great place to come watch the game. They also have some games in the adjoining room which is pretty cool when youre waiting for your food. Really friendly service too.
It gets six stars because the food here is excellent a very well prepared. The bar is not yet a full bar( maybebecause they did not gave tequila and couldnt make a true margarita. But outside of that, the music was excellent and service was very good.
Awesome place to see live music. Food was good wings and nachos as we were there to dance. Staff was friendly and the place was very clean. The band " Just Below Me" was amazing as they played 3 plus hours straight. They we very interactive with the crowd. It was my first time there and I look forward to going again.
Got a salad, a SALAD. Now this is something I never do. But the strawberry something or other salad was really, really good. Candied walnuts, dried cranberries, bacon, blue cheese crumbles and sliced strawberries.. I might be leaving something out here. But it was a really good salad! Our server was great too. Friendly and had all the right info and was just right. Place looks very unassuming from the outside but its got some charm on the inside for sure.
A little quiet for a Friday night, room to move around, great brew selection, and a cool stage w/built in PA and Retrofit played some 80s classic rock. Hoping to see more cool acts play soon. Rock on!!
Awful awful awful the lobster was not properly cleaned and was not seasoned. The butter was butter with oil. The fries were soaked in grease and the corn was dry. The chicken wings my daughter asked for was garlic Parmesan and honey barbecue and they gave her fried chicken with the sauce on the side who does that? A chef that doesn’t know what he’s doing that’s who. It was a horrible experience for my daughters and I. We will never go there again and I will not recommend this place to anyone.
I was there on a Wednesday night around 9 and it was pretty dead. Nine people in the bar and no one any where else. The Guinness was good and so was the Shepherds Pie. The nachos looked good but I didnt have any...I didnt order any.I thought there might be something going on but I guessed wrong. Better luck next time.
Just had the Lobster Boil Dinner with our friends and family. $19.99 is crazy price for a perfectly cooked lobster dinner. Included steamed clams, mussels, potatoes and corn on the cob. Absolutely cooked perfect. Surprised by the most delicious Bread Pudding desert which was also included. Service was impeccable and the people were super friendly. This has to be one of the hidden gems in CT. Who would think you could get such a great fresh seafood meal in an Irish Pub? Way, way worth the money! Highly recommended!!
Nice little (big?Local hole in the wall. Staff was very nice but they had a problem with the taps and all the beer was semi flat. Still there was a large selection and it was beyond ice cold. The Sheppards pie sliders are beyond delicious. All and all a good place. I found the table servers nicer then the bar staff tho.
The food is great, the waitress staff and bar staff was nice. The place is friendly. Didnt appreciate getting my card info stolen. And no one was their but my friend and i and the staff, and for anyone asking i havent used my card in 2 weeks prior to going out to blackstone. Other than that, its a good place, just be careful with your cards
Fun atmosphere and the staff is always friendly. Im really looking forward to the remodel
Service and food was fantastic, will go back
Great atmosphere, awesome staff. Went for dinner on an open mic night. The live entertainment was really enjoyable. Also great pub food and beer selection. Would highly recommend!
My friends and I decided to go here for NYE. Weve never been here before. We all purchased the party package (pre-fixed meal and open bar until 12:00 a.m. @ $65 each). The food was amazing. Our server was great. The drinks? Im not sure if its because we bought the package or if this is the norm but they couldnt have been more watered down. I rarely go out and have zero tolerance and barely felt anything after FIVE drinks. I finally walked to the bar and asked for JUST A SHOT and the bartender poured out half a shot into a large plastic cup of sprite. I then asked the waitress to please make sure the next drink was stronger...nothing changed. The other friend that was also drinking mixed drinks had the same issue. I mean...you can only drink so much juice and soda. Its a nice cozy little place but I just cant see returning after getting all watered down drinks. I normally drink maybe two drinks and Im more than good. I really wanted to have a good time and "drink up" with my friends that flew in to celebrate NYE but that just wasnt possible here.
While the food was good, the service left much to be desired. Oddly they ran out of knives even though our waitress said she had washed some for us. After ordering a glass of wine, she came by twice to ask if anyone brought it over instead of going to get it. On the third try and after speaking to the manager, the wine appeared. It took over an hour to get burgers and salads. I won’t return.
Went to the Blackstone for the first time last Friday, to see CTs #1 Classic Metal Trio (Spirit Shaker). Great place, nice stage, nice dance floor and awesome sound system.Place was busy, but the staff was very quick and friendly. Looking forward to going back again, getting there earlier and trying something from the menu.
Kind of a small place but the food is really good! Recommend the wings, nachos and the french onion soup! The waitress that we got had blue hair that night (wish I had her namebut she was extremely kind and made the dining experience amazing! Would definitely come back here. Should host more cashapalooza events here. Fun place. The owner seems kind too considering he was giving out 100$ gift cards in the cashapalooza.
I went here last week for a PlantNite with my friend and we had so much fun! Al came up to say hello, he was so friendly and welcoming. We ended up staying for hours after our event was over. Wings are bomb! The bartender Jeremy was awesome... we didn’t know anyone there but he made sure we felt at home. Quality food, drinks, and service. Highly recommend!
Great authentic looking Irish Pub. My wife and I went there for the band Miss Fortune. Food was great! Irish sunrise burger a MUST! Staff was friendly and the manager was a great in helping my wife find a gluten free meal.
I have been a patron of Blackstone for over 6 years. My friends and I keep coming back because of the amazing service this bar consistently provides. The food is some of the best around, and the drinks are mixed perfectly every time. Good bands, and a great bartenders. What really sets this place apart from all others in Southington is the staff. Everyone from the dishwashers to the managers maintain a professional friendly environment and provide the best service in central CT! I will miss Blackstone when I move out of CT, It is that good of a bar. You cant ask for anything more than a place like this to bring a date or catch up with friends.
Server, phenomenal. Food, tasty. My 2nd Lobster Bake in 2 weeks - that good! I was even thinking of making this a regular place to meet friends because of the comfy atmosphere and awesome staff. However, I had an unfortunate run-in with a manager, that made me think otherwise. My complaint was swiftly handled and resolved to my satisfaction. So, 3 Stars for the food, 4 stars for problem resolution of ownership.
Found this place on Internet to meet a client for drinks and appetizers great atmosphere super waitress Michele need to come back
My band played last night. Was my first time there as I live on other side of state. Great place, awesome staff, great sound and fantastic food. Bit of a drive for me but cant wait to go back.
What an awesome place this is Ive lived in the area for more than 15 years and decided to try it last night with my husband for the first time. The food was spot on and Carrie kept our glasses full and was very attentive. The food was served hot and in a timely fashion. The band was upbeat, pleasant and not terribly loud or overbearing. Lots of TVs so youll never miss any of the action if youre there to watch "the game." They have darts and a pool table as well as a well-manned bar and a renotable upstairs lounge. For a bar the food was really the best part for us, very flavorful and a very pleasantly diverse menu, all for fairly modest pricing. All in all a very good experience.
