Iconic resort with exciting rides, rollercoasters, younger kids' attractions, shows and dining.
Some parts were great. Some parts were not. Some staff really professional. Some staff swearing while discussing events to fellow staff. Gromit was great. Most rides are now very uncomfortable and head bangers. The new rollercoaster was fantastic. Could do with abit or TLC … litter pickers ect and fresh paint. But pretty much a great nostalgic day out.
Went there on a school trip. Had an awesome time. The ICON was amazing, the food prices were reasonable. Would recommend to go there with friends and family 🔥
We all really enjoyed our visit to the pleasure beach again this half term. The queue times for all rides were no longer than 15 mins, so we managed 17 rides in total (8 of which were on icon). The staff were all very pleasant also so all in all a Brilliant visit.
I have been here many times, especially as a child. First time back here in years.Ok it’s not Florida but it’s a ride intensive place, plenty placed into the space available. Many rides for all ages and fun rides for all.The price was reasonable and the queue times were not bad for a school holiday in October.Food available inside for the usual high price, standard quality from a theme park.Stupid system of having to scan your ticket on the app on entering every ride. Holding people up to scan a QR code that sometimes does not scan straight away. Getting your phone out every time is a bit silly.Easier ways to count numbers or control entry to a ride.
Great day out for families and couples. Good variety of rides and places to eat & drink, also couple of decent hotels very nearby (BLVD and Big Blue). Only thing Id note would be very few toilets (only 2 blocks were aware of across the whole park..)
10000/10 whenever we go. Such a great historical theme park. Could go all the time and never get bored. Icon is iconic 😁
Was impressed by the facilities at the park. The older rides need some love to make them less vicious. Icon was amazing.Really the most annoying feature of the park was having to scan our tickets at the rides after scanning to get into the park . Ridiculous
So went to go into the pleasure Beach Rides itself but at 3.30 got told closes at 5pm and 7 rides were closed and still be £46 each, so we decided not to in, on the way out went into here £12 each and really good fun dont go in if easily scared or jumpy, when come out its straight into a really lovely well suited pub, friendly atmosphere and staff, worth a visit definitely
Good theme park but e tickets are just so annoying you have to scan it for every ride. You can not take your own food but the rides are brilliant. I recommend going on a weekend in term time as it is normally not so busy.
The Pleasure Beach used to live up to its name and be a pleasure, but nowadays even buying the tickets is stressfulas it has all changed to etickets. Once you receive them, you have to activate each one individually and add a photo, or you wont be allowed to enter. On the day of our visit their system was down, so after all the stress of sorting the tickets at home was a waste of time, we had to queue anyway. Also, a few years ago you could buy a park entrance only ticket, for people who cannot/do not want to ride on attractions. Now you can only buy full price tickets even though youre just holding the bags lol, it is a rip off. Also, you are not allowed to take food and drinks into the park, so you have to buy from their over priced stalls. We bought a hot chocolate and ice-cream from the kiosk by Infusion. The queue was long and moved slowly, the tables and chairs available were disgustingly covered with food, drink, dirt, but cleaned up with a few baby wipes. When we finally acquired our food and drinks, we were very disappointed by the quality of the over priced ice-cream. It had a wierd taste and seemed to have bits in it. It was that bad, my daughter fed some of hers to the seagulls! The actual rides here are a pleasure, apart from the queuing, but you get that everywhere. My familys favourite was Icon, because it gave the most thrill factor. Secondly, was The Big One, one of the worlds highest roller coasters, thrilling & exciting. The Alice In Wonderland ride is still a must for children and adults. I remember riding on this as a child in the 1970s. It still looks and sounds the same! Both my children have grown up riding on this too. It is a very popular ride still. On the whole, an enjoyable day out with loads of rides for all ages. Just wish the management were not fixed on taking as much money off you as they can, and rethink the charge for non-riders. Some of us are unable to ride due to illnesses/caring for small babies.
A great day out with the kids. Plenty of modern rides along with some golden oldies. A non rider pass should really be made available.
Really fun day out. Pretty good value compared to some competitors, especially the food and drinks which are pretty reasonable prices by theme park standards.Really needs more seating, especially near food outlets. Also some more shaded areas for hot days. Some areas are a bit scruffy, but the rides are world class. Staff are really friendly.
Love this place, always fun n relaxing atmosphere, lots of fun to do at one place. Weekend is always busy n if we talk about food then it’s not very expensive, fish n chips 🍟 🐠 n plenty of shops right next to beach so you don’t have to struggle to get what you want.
Overpriced, greedy funfair which is overhyped and past its sell-by date. Entry price is expensive to begin with (and you all need a ticket to get in whether you’re going on any rides or not – as I said, greedy!), then if you want to ride more than 3 rides in an entire day (due to excessively long queuesyou need to upgrade to a speedy pass or VIP speedy pass which will set you back another £50 per person (!).Everyone gets bag searched on the way in, which at first seemed like a great safety precaution for all guests but it soon dawned on us that staff were probably looking for food/drink being brought into the park. They don’t allow you to bring your own food/drink – why would they, when they can force you to buy their extortionate fayre instead?Don’t think you’ll have a great selection of cafes and restaurants to choose from though – you can either buy funfair tat like burgers and doughnuts from stalls and eat them outside (so not happening with a family, especially one with an autistic young child plus rainy weatheror in the one (1!indoor/sit-down restaurant. This restaurant (and I use the term looselyis a pizza place and located in Nickolodeon Land. It was busy, hectic and noisy. There are no menus. I don’t mean no menus on the table, I mean no menus at all. The options for your wildly overpriced meal are: get it yourself from a buffet style area, or a choice of three pizza flavours brought to the table. We opted to share three pizzas between us. The pizzas were similar to those you can buy from Iceland etc for a few pounds, except at overpriced funfair prices of course… Rip off.Oh, and if you want a drink, guess what? Get it yourself from the ridiculously busy bar. Enjoy yet another queue to have your wallet rinsed! Staff in here were lacking in professionalism, we saw a few young ones getting absolutely bawled at by an older member of staff which was in itself unprofessional! The staff around Pleasure Beach have absolutely no care about whether you enjoy your visit or not. They couldn’t give a toss. We had the VIP Speedy Pass seeing as my youngest is autistic and cannot queue, yet we still experienced waits which were too long for him, despite the ride being ready. Staff just weren’t ‘on it’ enough to see we were there and load us into the ride. Then when they did, they let the usual queue on at the same time, so it was still a fight to get into a seat, with an anxious autistic child! Terrible. The speedy pass system itself is now via app not wristband – another awful idea. You have to bring a spare phone battery to ensure your phone doesn’t die during the day, and have it ready at every ride – booking each ride before you get on – then put your phone away safely, quickly, before the ride starts – all while grappling with young children. We also bought the digital photo pass which I STILL don’t really know how it all works. The website failed to load properly several times, and for some reason you can’t activate it all from entry or even guest services – you have to head to the Wallace & Gromit shop in the middle of the park. Why? No idea.We bought the day parking before we arrived, which is another rip-off – I expect higher prices at the seaside in summer holidays, but £20 for the day’s parking?!All in all we spent several hundred pounds on this day out for our family, and I feel thoroughly robbed. Don’t bother complaining to them though, they don’t give a toss and you’ve exactly zero chances of any refunds or even a bit of sympathy. It’s all about making as much money from hopefully family visitors as possible – whether they end up enjoying the day or not.I would strongly advise giving this place a miss – we’ll NEVER return. Get the Blackpool Tower Big Ticket instead, that was definitely worth it!If you want to go on some rides, head to the pier on the prom and spend your money there.AVOID THIS PLACE. Massive rip-off and not worth the stress, upset and a completely rinsed bank balance.
A true definition of fun, thrill and amusement. A gigantic ride on park that gets adrenaline pumping. Games, merry go rounds, super high speed roller coasters, boat cruise, tower lift, good meals, all sorts of fun games and rides. The place is well situated, very neat and spacious. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The ticket takes you in and you can use it for all the rides. Safety is paramount as little kids are subjected to height measurement before using certain rides.A true value for the money. Kids love it so much. I will definitely recommend to family and friends and return back some other time.Great fun!
Had an amazing family trip here. Queues were extremely short and we managed to go on rides like Pepsi Max 7 times! Love the layout of everything and would definitely recommend.
What an excellent theme park and had rides that was suitable for the whole family. The children loved Nickelodeon land and I loved all the thrill-seeking rides such as the Big One, Icon, Ice Blaster, Revolution & Infusion. Also had good halal food at Southern Fried Chicken.Just outside the beach, there was Ripleys Believe It or Not museum.
Blackpool isnt for Children any more... its more for Adult Entertainment and attractions . Theres more PUBS n HOTELS, CAFÉS... There are No Arcades, small rides, rock shops ect... For miles apart... The Shops what are there Put their Own Prices on items from their heads nothing is priced right.. Its Real Bad... Id avoid the Disappointment straight away n not bother... Even people there looked disgusted and disappointed..
What an experience. Its been more than a decade since I last visited The Pleasure Beach, or any theme park for that matter. I forgotten how thrilling and heart pump the ride experience is at Blackpool. The Park was rammed thanks to the incredible weather, however surprisingly, we where inside in less than a couple of minutes. The staff where quick to get us through, and where very helpful. Almost all rides were functional, albeit with long queues, and the all the facilities, eg toilets, food areas, where all clean and functional. The food courts comprise of a Burger King, and a Bar, as well as a fried chicken joint which is halal. If youve never been here before, Blackpool is the quintessential British seaside town. The Pleasure Beach is renowned for providing laughs and sceams for over a hundred years. Some of the beloved roller coaster have come on a bit I.E (The Big Dipper is 100 next yearand have a reputation for rattling your bones. BUT ITS ALL PART OF THE FUN! Theres a fantastic assortment of rides for all ages and even for boring mums and dads who dont like rides! From The Big One, to the Pleasure Beach Express, youll definitely have plenty to do on the day.My only gripe is just how busy it was, however thats to be expected at the height of summer. If you want to avoid the ques, visit during the school term!
Worldclass.theme park with lots of very exciting rides. Buy ticket in advance to save money. Close.to.blsckpool train station. You should have nerve to visit this place. .
I think that this is a wonderful place but I will get the gripes out of the way first. As a language enthusiast, I suggest information in several languages too.1. We visited on a very hot day. The site could use with some umbrellas or something like a marquee to create shade.2. Queues werent really supervised well but the wait was less than 25 minutes (apart from the upside down water one and Icon). Look out for queue jumpers on Ice Blast where there is a gap by a wall.3. Valhalla was closed but no-one seemed to know why.4. The Steeple Chase ride is not the easy experience that it appears. It needs an age restriction and padding! Someone threw up, which stopped it for ten minutes.5. The queues to get out of each ride are not well managed and there is a slight undercurrent of frustration. I even saw two ladies arguing about lack of personal space.5 good things.1. The staff were friendly.2. There were lots of toilets.3. As Ice Blast is close to the queue and you can see faces on the ride, there was a feeling of good humour as those in the queue interacted with those on the ride.4. Nickelodeon Land is great but dont be fooled, the Rollercoaster is not for the faint hearted!5. The app worked really well and you can see the up to date/real-time waiting times for each ride.
You need to go back to the good old days (which ironically is when it seems the last lot of painting was done). Charging people £50 to enter the park whether they want to ride or not? And then still scanning on every ride as well, what’s that all about? The infrastructure is clearly there to allow people in for a nominal amount so why not do that? Why can’t my kids have grandma on a day out without being shafted for £50 + overly expensive food and drink? Also due to having to get my phone out every 10 minutes means that I had no battery by the end of the day, I know I can pay a silly amount to “hire a phone charger” from you but by that time of the day the bank manager had already remortgaged my house twice and had me in a headlock. Most of the staff were decent, no rush in getting queues down though.
Best theme park in the UK Im my opinion. Full of history and a much better selection of rides than a certain "towers" and they all work 99% of the time unlike the towers!
A compact theme park, some queues lasting up to 50 minutes. Icon, Infusion and the veteran Big Dipper, Grand National. Very disappointed that "The big one" "Steeplechase" and Valhalla were not operating. Park opens at 10.00 but queuing system not open until 10.30 onwards when testing completed. All you can eat pizza good value.
First time at a theme park and the pleasure beach offered a truly great experience. All the rides were unique in their own way, and most (newer oneswere very thrilling and smooth.Place was kept very clean and all the staff were nice and friendly.Good value for the price - a set price and was able to go on any ride and amount of times. The app helped knowing the length of waiting times.Plenty of food and drink at reasonable prices. Including some gift shops scattered around.Overall, the pleasure beach was an amazing experience and I would certainly be going again.
Enjoyed being here, not many people which meant smaller queues. I would say the experience was much better here than one of the bigger parks around London.
I have been coming to Blackpool since i was a baby. Apparently i even took my first steps here but Im not entirely sure of the truth of that story! The Pleasure Beach is the heart of the town and is now a perfect mix of old and new with the addition of iconAll of the park is situated in such a "small" area that all of the roller coasters weave under each other. This is fantastic because it means you get to see other riders and other rides up close as you wait and its only a short walk (if any!between rides. The park also offers a fast track option for £25 or £50 per person. The £25 option is a bookable fast track where you can pre book your ride and walk on at a specific time. The £50 option is the VIP option where you do not have to book a time and just walk on whenever you like. There are lockers available at various parts of the park. Ranging in size and price, anywhere up to £5 for the day.Lots of places to eat all about the park. Including fresh fish (prawns, cockles etc), buckets of chips, burger king, fairground treats and fried chicken. Eating spaces too, picnic tables, benches and bar areas.A whole host of fairground games where you can win large soft toys. I never partake in these games but lots of people do. You always see a lot of people walking around with gigantic pugs and 7 foot bananas.Park entry was around £30 per person if you booked online in advance and £42 on the gate. If you book online you get to choose optional extras like all you can drink drinks for £6 (advisable! - we chose this option but chose it for one person and shared. Saved us a bunch! And we got a free cup! -, shows and parking.Parking at the Pleasure Beach car park is £18 at the gate. Not sure of how much it is if you pay online in advance. Think it was £12 but you may have to check!Toilets are plentiful at the park and everytime we frequented them there was always a member of staff cleaning.Security checks are carried out on arrival with metal detectors and bag checks. Everyone is pleasant and professional.Nickelodeon land is primarily the childrens part of the park but adults can have a blast too. The "streak" is not for the faint hearted! (I think i left a rib on there!)You can leave the park and re enter if you wish. We had to go back to the car for something and it was easy enough to go through and come back. They just had to scan our tickets which were stored on our phones. This is their new way of having tickets instead of wristbands. I did see people with wristbands but 95% of people were using the app on their phones. It is advisable to make a group on the app if you have more than one ticket as you can scan once rather than twice or three (however many are in the group).Free maps are available of the park at the shop under the rockets.Your free drink refills are available ONLY from the cafe under the rockets, opposite the grass (grand national).Valhalla was under refurbishment when we visited today (22/07/2022and looked like it would be out of action for a long while.Rides to note! ;TheGrand NationalThe big oneIconThe Big DipperThe Nickelodeon StreakHave fun!!!!
Fantastic theme park. Great selection of rides (Icon in particular is super thrilling), good food and great shows. We tied in a visit to the Hot Ice Show, which was amazing. Shout out for the friendly staff too and the really good hotel on the park (Boulevard Hotel).
Short staffed so no picture desks at rides where open or available which although they are pricey at times the choice of taking away as souvenir is so much better than just out right slamming down shutters and bolting closed without any mention whatsoever on website, admissions, entrances or even rides. Perhaps management have missed a little turn there due to cutting manpower. 🤔 feel free to respond to me personally for my further thoughts 👌
I really liked this place. Brought back a lot of memories from my childhood when we used to visit this place in the summer with my family. The rides were really good too. Pepsi max still going strong, but unfortunately due to the winds it was closed. Icon... just wow! Really impressed. The games were good too. Won some fluffy animals. Lol. Food was the usual fish n chip etc. I enjoyed it. Not much if youre vegetarian. But overall a really good day out.
Some great rides and attractions for an exciting day out, the queues on the bigger thrill rides can be a bit long, but getting a speedy pass will make the day go a little faster.I bought the normal tickets and managed to fit in all the big thrill rides within 5 and a half hours going on infusion 3 times and icon twice. The best ride for me had to be ICON - I have to say this is by far the longest ride unfortunately THE BIG ONE wasnt in service due to high winds but Ill have to come back to that one as it is the fastest roller coaster in the UK.Surprisingly Revolution is also up there as a favourite its quick to get onto and doesnt last long but theres a definite thrill. So much to say I guess Ill have to review each ride separately to give an in-depth experience.Overall its a great day out for all ages, food and customer service is welcoming.
Had a fantastic time at Blackpool last week with my husband and our little boy. The staff at guest services were lovely and extremely helpful when we were collecting our access pass. Will definitely be going back
Very nice event rooms, great view, good sound and lights.Very spacy and panoramic windows.A bit stiff priced.
Crazy games. Many of the rides here are very old but the do the job. You will hear cracking noises all the time from the rides but they still work fine. I was terrified as I was riding most of them as it was my first time in the park.I would go again with my friends. There are not many thematic activities or cartoon characters but there is an area for little kids. There is Burger King and other places to get food/drinks from. What really puts me off is that there was a lady who is a little on the bigger size and she couldn’t get on one of the rides. But I saw the same lady getting on other rides. So I guess there should be bigger seats to accommodate everyone. Also, few of the rides, you have to climb stairs which means if someone has a disability or on a wheel chair may not be able to get on them.😒I am sure the park management could do a lot more to be more inclusive.
Took my son we stayed all day loved it. Went on the Grand National 12 times. Not advisable for a man of my age as ended up with whip lash and a hospital visit but my son was made up with the day. A great day out for everyone but maybe not 12 times again!!! Ques werent massive as schools were back but all rides were working and fun.
Such a fun time out. Unfortunately when I went the main attractions were closed (the big one and grand national). Nevertheless we had an excellent time here, from some brand new, fun and exciting rides, as well as old classics (which can be quite a bumpy ride and do need to undergo some maintenance), to a designated kids section, perfect for the family. Full of good restaurants on site, large and clean toilets and extremely fun and exciting rides including some unique and unusual ones too!! The ideal family trip out.
Definitely worth it. As this was introduction to theme park rides, I can say this park as an assortment of rides that will offer you value for your money. There are rides for families and children and older people to share together. Well they must offer value for money if they have been here for 125 years right??🤔😊 Enjoy!!!
Dont brush this place off as being tacky as it is NOT! There are some EPIC rides here to the standard you would see at Thorpe Park or Alton Towers, they still have the old wooden rides (which are well maintainedqueues werent outrageous which was surprising for a BH weekend! One word of warning, dont be fooled by their "premium" looking restaurant The Coasters as they dont have vegan options & the wraps/jacket potatoes were not premium at all, you can get better Wraps with a Co-op meal deal 🙈 service was a 2 out of 5 too.....
Great family day out. Kids loved it. Nostalgic to see some of the old classics still going.QR code scanning to get in, great idea. Having to scan on some rides a bit of a pain, as all on Husbands phone ( because he bookedhe wasnt always on all the rides and some the kids just went on but needed to take his phone. Must be an easier way?
Not too busy, excellent rides, especially icon. Park entry is expensive, book online in advance. Park is clean but most hand sanitizer were empty. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Had a great day.
We had great fun going on the rides. Never had any food there as had already eaten. Sadly only stayed about 3 hours as had a long drive home as it was a Sunday. It was very expensive for the short time there but all of us enjoyed it from my two year old granddaughter to myself the granny and the others in between lol as there were 5 of us in our group. It was great to have rides suitable for all of us.
Great way to spend a day, nickelodeon land is great for smaller kids.It is a bit of a pain having to use your phone to scan a QR code to scan to get on every ride. The picture options for the rides are reasonably priced, £20 for a wrist band you can scan on all the rides with cameras and get a digital copy
Good place, enjoyable there are many roller coaster 🎢, but It was smaller than I thought. You can spend 3 to 5hrs to play all games. The queues weren’t that busy except for one game it took 50mins to ride.
Had the best time ever !Rides are impressive and are plenty to choose from, lots of places to eat and the place is kept very clean and tidy. The prices are fair (around 40£ for a day pass if you book onlineand the staff are always there to help you with anything you might need."The Big One" is definitely worth trying, even for people who are afraid of heights !Totally loved it !
Great day out with plenty of rides for everyone. It was not very busy so it was nice and relaxed to stroll round. The food and drink stalls were well priced considering it is a captive audience they never over charged like most places would
I remember walking around here with my nana for FREE, Once in a while Id go buy a ticket and go on the old wooden roller coaster 😲😍 Yes that was in the 70s but now to wonder around 2022 and NOT go on any rides they want £47.50 = $61.88 US dollars (at the time of this postOUCH 😢🇬🇧 This is NOT DISNEYLAND but almost costs the same. No wonder there was hardly anyone there. SORRY we PASSED on across to the South Pier for FREE
The pleasure beach was brilliant, there were so many more rides than I expected and they were so much fun to ride - my favorite being infusion which I rode four times in a row although it does hurt your head a bit. Parking price is still expensive.
Amazing experience, Great theme park, Good rides and amazing customer service throughout the park. So many good rides, and wasn’t that much rush or que for rides if you get there early
We booked online, there’s loads of choices for some type of discount, whether it be booking in advance, using Tesco Clubcard vouchers, (you get 3 times the value of your Clubcard vouchers towards entry to Blackpool Pleasure Beach), or even via 10% off due to who you work for, (BPB has a list of companies who they offer 10% discount for, Google it and you will see the list and links for discounted entry). We chose to book using Tesco Clubcard vouchers, which was really straightforward. We visited on a day that felt like many storms and it rained for hours, (BPB no longer offer the rainy day money back guarantee), however all the rides were on, (except those stated at the time of booking due to re-tracking). Queues were non-existent, most rides were straight on. If you pre-book, you will be required to upload a photo. You’ll receive an e-ticket with a QR code, you will be required to use your smartphone to get on all rides, (you scan your QR code for entry to the park and rides). You can get a wristband if you are having issues with your phone…you’ll need to speak to guest services at the time of your visit. In my party there were 2 adults and 2 children. The park caters for everyone, from the extreme thrill rides to the quality family/children’s rides. The hi-lights for me were: Revolution, it was really windy climbing those steps, it was a ride in itself…but also the ride for me was immense. I’ll mention the staff towards the end. The other ride was Wallace & Gromit’s Thrill-O-Matic, this is a quality family ride that’s definitely worth a second time on during your visit. All the wooden coasters were a must! Again further discounts were available whilst in the park, 10% was offered for season pass holders, but again it was also offered if you worked for one of those companies on the list previously mentioned. You get discounts off things like food & drink, the gift shop and photos, (I believe there is more, when you look on the website it will show you the list), it was straightforward to get too, no messing around at the time of the transactions. So I’ve got to say, the staff on the day were all amazing! World class customer service! Everyone was really friendly and helpful…bear in mind, the constant wind and rain…the staff all made the difference. I think BPB really have hit the jackpot with their staff this season. Everyone took time to make sure our experience was the best, actually better than it could be. Nothing was too much…ice cream machines were turned on and filled (yes, I know…my daughter wanted an ice cream in the middle of a storm). Ride operators all had a great sense of humour, the ones on Revolution and Blue Flyer stood out…but also the staff greeting us at the main entrance/security, the Scottish gentleman was really funny! I personally came here because of some tough times in my life…for those 6 hours, I forgot all about them, I was in another world. Thank you Blackpool Pleasure Beach for making some wonderful memories for me and my family and for taking away some personal pain for the day. We will return this season!
The last time I visited Blackpool was 18 years ago and had memories of a dated town. Recently went there with my daughter and had a great time full of wonderful memories. Waterfront has been changed and offers much nicer access to the beach, which made Blackpool a very different place. The water park was fantastic so as the theme park. We are looking forward to our next visit.
