Handcrafted models of buildings, including a castle, cottages & a Tudor village in a garden setting.
A well kept attraction and lots of very interesting models with lots of attention to details. The path/trail was in good condition and lots of very attractive plants, bushes and trees.
Really interesting and well put together, there is a little quiz to do as you walk round so you dont miss anything.
The kids enjoyed looking round and it was good for them. It could just do with a little bit of attention.
Very overpriced! 3 of us went in at £9.95 per adult less than half an hour if you hang it out, thougnt there would be a model scene of Blackpool or something but there wasnt just very tired looking models, not value for money vastly overpriced
I love this model village, well made houses and props all over the area. The models look as though someone has put some time and thought into where to place things, rather than just dumpling them around randomly. Little houses hiding in corners and under trees, makes you feel like your the first one to discover them.
An adorable place to visit! You get a quiz to help guide you around as well as enjoy doing. Its very accessible for disabled visitors, proper paths all the way around and enough room for mobility scooters as well as wheelchairs/prams. Love that its dog friendly as well- bonus! We had great fun here, would say its a must visit place if you are in the area. Theres a big car park next to it and it was only a couple quid for all day parking. They even had the flag lowered on their castle as a respect to the Queen- loved that.
Visited last week on positive note good guide around the model village to know what around but needs a lot of work painting and stuff touching up the paintwork of models and buildings
Nice morning looking around the model village, takes about an hour to walk around it. Well kept up and the quiz as you walk around is a good idea to keep you on the right track. £9.95 entrance fee is a little steep though.
Bit tired but we cant resist a model village. We did the kids quiz and had a lovely afternoon here . Enjoyed some different flavours of icecream from the shop before we left.
The best free outside skatepark in Lancashire.
Nice place to visit. May be more interesting for children
Sorry to say that for Two adults and a child, this is not worth £29. It took less than 40 minutes and it was that long as we followed the quiz questions that took you around the same places. The village is very dated and could do with some love. The gardens are lovely though!
Nice morning Bank holiday weekend at the vintage car show
It is a good sightseeing experience for all age range and family. Particularly like the wheelchair friendly paths. The experience can be enhanced with clear descriptions around the model houses (some have labels). An audio descriptive recording that can be played at different locations could help as well. Kids enjoyed the gnome search whilst adults tried to match the model houses with Blackpool orientation.
Hidden gem in Blackpool, I’m sure not many people are aware of this, but definitely worth a visit especially if you have kids, they hand you a quiz sheet at the start and you work your way around it. Cute tiny houses, beautiful castle, football ground, farm house, jail, schools, pub.. you name it and it has everything. Loved the tiny train doing circles lol
It’s embarrassing, sorry to be so blunt but for the price it’s a disgrace. The gardens are nice but as a small model village, embarrassing. Buildings look like they were knocked up in two mins with dirty plastic cars plonked near them, cracked and not to scale. Actually had to pay for parking which is a bigger insult on the £10 admission and the cost of refreshments is extortionate. Took us 8 mins to wander round and walk out. Space your £30-£40-£50 and take the kids else where, honestly you’ll thank me,honest true opinion,August 2022.
Nice place to visit. The layout of the different villages is lovely. Really enjoyed our time there. But, dont plan a day out at it. Youll be in and out in a hour. Once you have seen it, nothing else to keep you there. But you have Stanley Park and the zoo, basically both next door.
Excellent afternoon walking around the model village and its beautiful gardens. Would recommend.
It is a fairly large model village in a nice setting. Good for the kids. About £30 for a family of 4 so you need to hope your kids dont just run round it in 10 min.
Went for afternoon tea today with friends and it was lovely. The staff were friendly and efficient, service was excellent, happy we had a table inside as the weather was quite chilly. Would definitely go again. Today went into the model village and it is very nice, the fee for parking was great only £2.50 and you can park there all day. We had ice creams very enjoyable. Also had a small walk around in the park.
One of the best model villages I have visited. We were given a quiz sheet to encourage social distancing which turned out to be good fun. Would recommend visiting if you are planning a trip to Stanley Park
What a lovely little hidden gem of a place. You can see its been created with real passion for miniatures. The quiz around too is a nice extra bit of fun. Absolutely worth a visit!
I really enjoyed this Model Village, I love the novel idea of a quiz which guides you through the village, so you dont miss anything and like a big kid, loved answering the questions.
Absolutely marvelous. Im ashamed to say born and bred in Blackpool and at 44 this was my first visit but it definitely wont be my last. The scale of the model village was vast and the cute quiz to help you round and spot everything was wonderful. We didnt have children with us but saw plenty enjoying themselves. Great fun to take out Italian friends too and beautiful grounds to have our picnic in. I cant recommend it enough.
Its magical! The details are great, if a little tired, but it is out doors. I love it..
Mesmerising view, also has woods area, play area for kids, beautiful park
Great model village, visited 21/04/22 with friends. Lots to see and the ticket prices were very good.
**update 02.05.22**Went back today and took my mum for the first time .. she absolutely loved it. We had a great time wandering round the village following the quiz that gives you a tour making sure you dont miss a model.Had a really fab afternoon. Will be taking the niece in the summer holidays Im sure shell love it too.**Original post**Had a lovely afternoon here was a nice surprise ..loved some of the hidden ditties in the names of things finished the visit with a picnic in the middle of the village where there was cute little wishing well and some seating.
£2.50 for all day parking here and £10 per person to go in the model village. Cloudy day but still had a nice visit here. A wee leaflet to answer as you go round the village with instructions on way round it. Very nice to see. It would be very interesting for kids to see.
Nice well maintained little park, worth a dog walk any day of the week.
Massive green space. Beautiful. Could spend a full day there if the weather is good.
Very cute place, we really enjoyed the model museum and loved the quiz given to do which helped us to cover all the areas. Highly recomended
We had a lovely time here. Lovely for young children especially. They have a quiz sheet to follow. Open to dogs too !
Brilliant place and you get a quiz to do while you are going round which makes sure you see the entire village. Lovely way to spend an hour.
Quiz was good. Village old and tired, not very well kept, grass long, hedges a mess, water full of weed. WHAT DID THEY DO DURING COVID? Need to tend the gardens, neglected.
Mainly good although grounds were a little uncared for , would have been a much shorter visit if there wasnt a quiz to follow and fill in. Room for improvement we felt . 🤔
First visit and had a lovely time. Really good Quiz which makes sure you see everything and added bonus of finding 15 gnomes.Well set out and very well kept. Staff friendly.Handed in answers at the end but forgot to check answers! 😒
Went to the kids to the model village. They give you a quiz to complete and you have to find the gnomes placed around the village. It got us the parents to really engage in it. It was an exciting trip. Im sure the kids wouldnt mind to do it again.
The tickets were cheap, the park is not so huge, but the models are funny, nice and the garden is tidy and ideal for relax. The village has got events, e.g. try to find the hidden gnomes and the prices are decent. Very good program with the family.
Really nice day out the quiz sheet was very interesting and made it enjoyable would highly recommend
Was pleasantly surprised though not very big you can do the whole thing in an hr. The children absolutely loved it the quiz and gnome hunt focused their attention and they were very pleased to get a little bag of sweets at the end.
Definately worth a visit if you have kids good fun....
A very relaxing setting for the Model Village. Good for all ages with good exhibits. Set next to Stanley Park which complements the surrounding. Good to visit especially if the weather is good. If you go its worth visiting the Zoo and Stanley Park too!
This place is timeless and a must visit place when in Blackpool for a few days. The care, and attention to detail which has went into the village and gardens is appreciated. The quiz is well worth doing as well as it is free, ensures that you see everything on offer and you get a sticker at the end for completing it. Perfect.
A hidden gem of a place!!!We were at a big name attraction earlier in the day..... and THIS was much more fun!!!We were given TWO challenges, one was find the well placed gnomes the other was a quiz to complete as you walked around....... which also ensured you missed none of the models!!The owner was very friendly and appreciative that we visited.....It was very well maintained, great fun and the best part of our trip!!!
We visuted at the end if the season, so it was faurly quiet, but that gave us time to stroll round and take time to appreciate the models, sime if which are a little past their best, but no less interesting for that.A prunted quuz sheet doubles as a guide around the village. The entry fee included all day parking, which increases the value, as after spending about 90 minutes in the village, we spent a conciderable amount of time in Stanley Park, which is immediately behind the Model Village.
What a great little attraction. I think it had everything on a small scale, from castle, farm, prison, windmill, garage to little villages. We enjoyed this, and there was a little competition to find the gnomes around the garden. Staff were friendly, paid for parking but cheap and lasts the full day so you can enjoy the surrounding lake as well. Facilities on site too. Highly recommend the trip here while in Blackpool. 👌👍😁
Im highly recommend a visit to this place. Weather permitting. Its beautifully presented in a couple of acres of land and if you follow the quiz sheet youll not miss a thing. Plus keep an eye out for the comical business names. Fun for everyone young and young at heart. Full disabled access too. A great day out!
Very spacious park with lots to see and do! Fantastic for outdoor sports and a skate park with some amazing ramps! Perfect for all types of activities!
A quaint place to visit for an hour or so. Like all other model villages I have been to, it is s little old fashioned and rather dated, but on the plus side, there is plenty to see. A quiz is provided which helps ensure that you have seen all the models as you walk around. We found that this made the visit more interesting. The entry price is rather expensive, but nevertheless we had a nice time, and I would recommend a visit if you dont mind the price of entry.
