Had a magical vintage concept, perhaps it dont boost the place well but it doesnt matter for me. They serve coffee, some eatry, snack and alcohol. What make it difference is it located in real busy area and they serve such calmy place for you to run out from this insane task and responsibilities rofl kidding

their coffee menu and the ambience are great (either for working or just hanging out—having a chit chat), but i highly dont recommend you to have a virtual meeting here because they play the music pretty loud or sometimes the baristas are.

A little bit too over the top with the price but still nice place to hang out and to grab a drink. When I came, they had a DJ show. I like that the music is not too overwhelming and could still be a good companion for a peaceful night out. The fish and chips is good!

The place is so comfortable, very good vibes, old country was playing the whole time such as the name "Barn".Food and Drink were really great and satisfiying. I highly recommend the Spaghetti Carbonara, it tasted similiar to the original italian pasta.

The atmosphere here is really unique, different from the usual coffee shops with bright or monochrome color tones. Blackbarn is rather dimly-lit and full of tribal-style decorations like dreamcatcher and antler wall mount. The Shakshuka tasted and reminded me of lasagna except that it tasted eggy. On the other side, the Spaghetti Meatball turned out pretty filling. The tomato sauce was a bit too sweet while the beef meatballs were overly salty. Prices are practically reasonable given the central location (good news, there are no tax and service charge here).

The coffee is light and great. Pizza also good. There is DJ at weekend

I visited this place with my friend expecting great coffee and experience.However, most items on the menu were unavailable. I asked the cashier what their signature coffee is, they dont have any. My friend ordered beer and I insisted to order what -so-called Iced Hazelnut Macchiato.Dude, I could only taste mostly hazelnut syrup and the coffee was watery. It had me wondering how much coffee the beverage contains.Good thing is we also ordered Caesar Salad and Chilli Dog (despite the chilli being too sweet for my palatewhich are not bad, but I wouldnt label this place as coffee-place-to-go when you visit Surabaya.That was definitely an underwhelming experience.

I like the atmosphere, foods, staffs are friendly.. the price range is 22k-90k. Beverages around 20-40k foods around 40k above. I love the decoration and interior. Warning alert there are alcoholic beverages and bacon so be cautious of what you order if you are moslem

A cozy and nice cafe. With a warm ambience and chill vibes at night. Very welcoming staff who always smile when we take orders. The coffee taste good and their food are also delightful. Not only coffee but they also served beer here. Best place for hanging out with your friends to get that bottle of chilled beer and relax. Can get crowded on the weekend so make sure you get a seat here early, unfortunately they didnt take reservations. The price is not to pricey, its all worth it.

Nice place to hangout or do some work productive thing, the ambience make me super relax n comfort to stay longer in this cafe, one thing that makes this cafe unique is old console game you can play it with cost of idr 2k coin make sure you already have the coins because the waiters there they dont have enough coins for customers who wanna play the game

I dont always go out for a beer / casual dinner, but when i do i go to thiz Blackbarn & order a beer bucket with fries. Never fails. Especially "buy 1 bucket to get 1 free bottle" yey!My life in Surabaya was Everyday-is-workingday in office, where lived in. (not anymore tho, puji Tuhan). The office was in east side of Surabaya and i was willing to spend 27min to go Blackbarn. It explains everything. LOLLLThey have arcade machine (IDR 2,000 but only by two of IDR 1,000 coin& also dart machine!ow! Special thing you MUST TRY is #dicetakintetangga , which means "printed by neighbor" in indonesian. So you can borrow their film camera & take several photo and they will send you the printed photos by email! how lovely it isss!! So def u should try!!

Nice and comfy place to hangout with friends. Delicious foods, various kinds of foods (Indonesian to Western), big enough portion, and affordable price. There are also no-smoking room and smoking room. You can find some arcade games here. The place is considerably instagenic.

Good place to hang out with friends. You can play darts and arcade console that has so many variants of oldies games. The food were nice. And i got promotion for the beers, which is nice. Love it!

Cozy and neat cafe. I ordered green tea latte and mac & cheese. The drink has perfect taste and I think their mac & cheese is very delicious. Definitely will come back to this cafe again

A little coffee with an interesting concept, you can spot the arcade machine and dart game at the corner of the cafe. The interior is mainly rustic industrial, with a lot of dream catchers are hanging nicely on the ceiling. The coffee got the very latin feel as they sell ristretto instead of normal espresso, or if you want some sweeter variance you can order their cubano which mildly sweeten yet still pack some eye popping coffee taste. The shakshuka despite being quite good in taste, lack of spices and the authenticity.

Rustic-homey vibes, very genuine Barista, good price for food and drink. If you want to have a chit chat over beer, this is the best place in town! And dont forget to take a sip on their coffee.

nice coffee, small place. when we (group of 7came there it was pretty packed, we almost didnt get a table. the barista was nice, they smile, they serve quick. i ordered a cup of latte while my other friends had beers, and it was good. overall it was all good, but i dont recommend coming on weekend because theres a chance you might not get a table, unless you want to seat in the bar.

Good place in the middle of Surabaya. Ordered the cappucino and some smores. The coffee is carefully selected and for someone who hate the acidity of a coffee should try this place. The smores are okay-ish, need to be roasted a little longer. Parking could be a hassle because the road is rather small.

The ambiance is nice and cozy, love it when they have the down Tempo back ground music. The best fish and chips in town.. The long black is also kicking and the affogato is splendid. They also serve beer, light ones though.Will definitely hang out with my buddies here again!

Wooden rustic themed.Newest information I got from my last visit at 5th January 2018, if you want to do photoshoot for endorsement stuff each person must order 1 food & 1 drink.Theres not much photo spot tho since the indoor area is dark. And itll be dominant in yellow lamp when it gets darker which I dont really like to take picture at.I think the outdoor area is better for you to take picture but its a little bit narrow so its a challenge for you to get the best result for your photo. Using 50mm is still possible here but more that that? I have no idea but I wont recommend you using lens with bigger focal lenght .For foods personally I love their Soto Mie and Pocheeseto. For fingerfoods or for sharing I recommend you to try their fried mushroom.For drinks especially for girls who dont really get along with coffee ( especially because of bitterness or acidity of coffee, you should try their Vanilla Peach Latte I bet youll like it. The coffee is not to strong. Trust me, take a sip and you wont be disappointed.Another drink recommendation is Strawberry yogurt. And their new menu "BukanMarjan" . Its like a watermelon drink. So refreshing.Here you can also play dart game at their Dart machine with your friends. Pay IDR 10.000 for each person to play a game, you can bring your own dart or you can use the dart they provide in cafe. But still recommend you to bring your own lucky dart 😉

Very tasty food. Very nice ambience and atmosphere. Dart game was also not expensive for 10k a game. Thrown abt 15x3 darts.Food tried was sotomie jakarta, aglio olio, bbq burger. Amazing taste.

Have a wood and monochrome theme. Cozy, simple, yet elegant coffee shop. The price isnt that expensive. Red velvet latte IS DA BEST!! Its a nice place to hang out and grab a tea or coffee. They also have good wifi and a few food options. Ive been here a few times and its never been too crowded. The music is soft and chill. Plus the baristas are very nice. I love the vibe in this shop! I recommend the rose tea or Carmel latte.

The cafe reminds me most of cafe in bandung, price are above average but still acceptable, good coffee though

The ambiance is nice. The price a bit pricy. There will be a 2% charge for credit card users. Minimum purchase for credit card is 50000 rupiah. The food, no matter tasty however, takes forever to prepare. So, if you are in a hurry, I dont really encourage you to come. But if you want to unwind and relax, this is the place to be. The cashier/server is very knowledgeable, and he is a good marketer as well.

Its another cafe, like those popping up in Surabaya. Nonetheless it has a nice I Teri or design and environment with decent food at cheaper price than most of the cafes. Super plus: bulleye! Besides, the outdoor is beautiful and the inside cold as most locals like it. What I would change? 2 things. 1st. I enjoy being served in the table; a cafe is a place to chill and order and reorder... so if I have to stand every time... not cool. 2nd: put a mirror in the restroom!
