Hard to find, but excellent whisky bar in London. They have a great selection of whiskies and the staff is very knowledgeable to help introduce you to new ones as well. It’s small, so be sure to make a reservation before you go!

Great bar with a really wide variety of whiskeys. Great staff, especially Alex who helped us with the decision which Whiskey we should order. We really loved it!

Their whiskey selection is awesome. And the staff is knowledgeable. The service is very slow and we left because we were tired of waiting for the Batman to take our second order.

Probably the best whisky bar in London with over 300 bottles on offer at extremely competitive pricing in intimate speakeasy-inspired setting. One of the highlights was their Old Fashioned.

Tried to call a few times to cancel my reservation, with more than enough notice. No answer from the line and I was still charged the £20 reservation fee. Disappointing service overall and leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.

Black Rock hosted me and 18 friends on their oak trunk table for a night filled with good whiskey, great hospitality and a great atmosphere. We will definitely be returning!

What an experience. Walked in on a Saturday night not knowing one needs a reservation and was lucky enough to be welcomed for half an hour, only to be allowed to stay for longer. They have 250 whiskeys which will grow to 400 at the end of the year. What matters more is that they have such wonderful staff who can help you choose the right whiskey for you. A great experience, especially because of the staff!

Such a great experience, something a little different. If you dont like whiskey, youll probably be converted. Huge variety of bottles and flavours on offer.Staff were very friendly and drove the evening with their knowledgeable palette and service. Loved the smoky dark interior, which matched the vibes of the night.Id highly recommend a visit!

A whiskey lovers paradise staffed by complete enthusiasts! Their approach is to have 3 cabinets, and thats how they sort the whiskey to flavour. Their pricing mechanism is very straight forward too, coloured dots on the bottles showing their price bracket, but only going up to about £30 a dram.The centre piece though is an oak table that holds their cocktail whiskey for about a week and then they bottle it. Very clever! I love it!

I wish I had this bar in the US. The whiskey selection is great, the waiters were super knowledgeable and the cocktails were some of the best Ive ever had. I will 100% go back the next time Im in London.

This was hands down one of my favorite whiskey bars to check out in London! I brought a few friends who are not into whiskey at all, and even they had a great time talking with the employees, trying some unique whiskeys, and sampling some of their cocktails. I tried both the Scotch and American old fashioneds that they age within the giant Oak Table that runs through the middle of the bar, which is super awesome! They have a glass channel on top so you can look into it and see the cocktails resting in the Oak, super unique. The cocktails were excellent, and the way they had organized the whiskeys in the cases based on flavor profile and intensity was amazing! I got a chance to try out some unique whiskeys that Ive never tried before, and the staff was more than kind to pick some out for me based on what I liked and dont like!Its so much fun to see how passionate everyone we spoke to here is about whiskey! You could take someone who hates whiskey, bring them here, and I guarantee that theyll leave with a different impression on it! Huge thanks to everyone here and especially Alex for making our visit something special!

Dimly lit whiskey bar with a lovely whiskey selection. They also have really tasty cocktails if you dont like drinking it on the rocks. Very cozy and cool!

The oysters were AWESOME!!!!!!! The sauce was perfect, I couldn’t tell what the ingredients were but it was a perfect match to oysters. and the oyster was extremely fresh.

BlackRock is THE place for all whiskey lovers. Not only do they have an infinite selection of whiskey but the staff is also very knowledgeable and helpful in picking the right whiskey. The atmosphere is amazing and for me its simply the go to bar when I want to try a new whiskey or just go for one of my favourites. Highly recommend

Nice atmosphere, and a fun setup if you’ve never been to a whisky bar before - several different whiskies arranged in cabinets by flavor.It was rather disappointing to me, as the staff was not very helpful in choosing a whisky, and unlike many whisky bars, they did not offer tasting before buying a dram.The whisky selection was also quite small (maybe 50-100 total whiskies).

When you close your eyes and think what a whiskey bar is , thats black rock. From its underground saloon setting, to the marquee oak table filled with home brewed old fashioned and the eclectic collection of whiskey - black rock has it all. Great for a date, social gathering of whiskey lovers or work event.

A different approach to the world of whisky. The display cabinets are divided into flavors, making it easier to explore a new brand based on your taste. The table cocktail is unique and you can see the whiskey aging inside the table! No wonder they won so many awards for the specialist whiskey bar!

Very impressed! A place with a unique vibe, knowledgeable and cool staff members (particularly Dexterwho really know their whisky inventory;-Also, unforgettable cocktails. It was an experience like no other. The only tiny, tiny disappointment was the lack of any food as we planned to have snacks there alongside our drinks, but ended up turning up to our booked table with empty stomachs and finding out there was no food available that evening. We got dizzy very quickly as one can imagine, but luckily some small bowls of popcorn came to the rescue from the considerate members of staff;-Thank you for making this place so special.

A fantastic experience at one of the few whiskey bars in London. You can feel the passion the team has for what theyre doing, and their knowledge was invaluable in guiding the evening. Whiskey selection itself was excellent including a few rare treats, they cycle through their bottles relatively frequently so therell always be something new for the locals.Make sure to book in advance, and go enjoy a dram!

If you like whiskey this is the place to go. Hidden under central London is this gem of a bar. Vast selection and staff with an incredible knowledge of all things whiskey. They clearly love their job and have the knowledge to back the passion. Their custom old fashioned blend sitting in their custom cut table acts as a centerpiece to this place would highly recommend.

Very nice whiskey bar , is not a place for flirt or dance, is a place for a meeting and whiskey tasting. They have their own barrel with old fashion and whiskey. Very nice selection of whiskeys.

This whiskey bar is definitely one of the most interesting places I’ve been to recently.The wooden table where you sit and sip one of your favorite whiskey (you can chose between 300, maybe more, different bottlesit’s also a see through barrel where they are aging their whiskey blend.The place is dark and cozy, good for a nice conversation.The staff working there is very nice and knowledgeable about whiskey and happy to explain you the story behind each bottle.Strongly suggested

When we stumbled into black rock we didnt even know it was a specialty whiskey bar. Imagine the surprise of descending into a cozy single dimly lit room bar. The whiskey connoisseurs were extremely knowledgeable and helped up navigate the impressive collection based on our preferences. Although the room is small, it is well laid out, intimate and welcoming. I really like the long oak table that centers the room.

Most amazing Whisky bar in London. Great selection, the friendliest and most competent staff Ive met by far. The Whisky selection is well curated and theres a Whisky tree in the middle of the room. The nibbles were great and if you prefer your Whisky youll be impressed, too.

A hidden gem of Shoreditch.Cosy , relaxing place in a dimly lite setting.Small bar and its popular so booking ahead recommended.The whiskey selection is really good , the bottles are organised in cabinets by flavours from light to heavy, very clever and makes choosing a little easier.We been looked after by Glen , he was extremely knowledgeable , fun and provided an awesome service.We tried some of the snacks too , my days it was the best scotch egg I have ever had. Made on a spot too !Also recommend to leave your credit cards at home ... Easy to get carried away 😂It was a perfect date night , we be back ! If you love whiskey you must visit too and if you dont you might just start liking it after your visit to the Black Rock 😋

Loved loved loved this bar. Even if you dont like whisky that much the staff will find something you can try. Wasnt madly in love with the house/River aged whiskys but they werent expensive and nice to try. Staff were fanatic. Really enjoyed the food too!! Definitely one of the best bars in London!

This has to be one of the best whisky bars in London. Never have I met such a wonderful bunch of whiskey lovers who will guide you though the whiskey on offer. Highly recommend this to anyone.

Just a unique experience that crossed our way à most by mistake : cosy basement whisky bar, a magic half tree trunk (not saying more there: go and see by yourself, very talented W-experts to advise you, nectars to choose yourself out of libraries shelves... An atmosphere that brings people together.Thanks for having created this place!

A very small bar which would make a great date location for whisky lovers.The staff clearly are knowledgeable about the huge selection available from across the world.They have a few cocktails on offer which were enjoyable and I recommend trying if you need a bit of a change to your pallette.Overall a small quiet mildly expensive bar which I would recommend for anyone who wants a night finding your new favourite drink.

Loved this place, so glad it popped up on a random Google Maps scroll. Great ambience in this cozy tasting room and the staff are very well versed in their profession / passion for whiskey. Amazing selection of course with an easy to understand pricing system and water literally on tap at each table.

Nice selection of whiskies from around the world, some rarer than others. Crucially, very knowledgeable staff. There are two house whisky rivers on tap which have been expertly blended as ready pour cocktails. It’s a nice atmosphere and there’s water free flowing at the table - handy for remaining hydrated as well as adding a few drops to open up your dram of choice! Pricing is fairly reasonable with none of those on offer breaking the bank.

Great small whisky bar, youll find a very eclectic selection that covers all tastes. I love the giant table made out of a half oak tree.
