Black Dog Bar in Tbilisi

Nice place to drink a beer and have some food. The atmosphere is nice and they are pet friendly. I didnt see any menu for the beers or drinks but the bartender gives you all the informations you need. They have a nice box music where for 1 lari you listen your favorite song

They do cider which was an okay dry and pretty surprising for Georgia. They said they could veganise a burger for me which I thought was nice, but it still had cheese inside. They played 90s BritPop all night which I think is still popular here.

I love the place. I am not that into APA beer in general but the atmosphere, music, and food is really good. It is a usual hang out place for my friends and I.

Bartender is great. Atmosphere is great for me. Prices are slightly above average. I drank only IPA, taste was a lil below the average.Overall, I prefer this bar rather than other neighbourhood beer bars. However It would be better if prices were like other bars around.

The service at the bar is terrible, the bartender does not communicate politely. Does not recommend drinks. if you ask a question, he answers dismissively. apple cider tastes sour and like its gone. I dont recommend taking it. the smell is terrible. drinking is just not possible. The burger is delicious but falls apart in your hands. French fries have a lot of salt.

Nice cosy atmosphere and a good place to relax for a bit. But the beer is honestly pretty bad. I tasted an APA, IPA and porter, and they were all very sub-standard, reminiscent of my Dads bad homebrew (sorry Dad...I think this is an example of people trying to cater for the internationally popular craft beer market, but without the necessary knowledge, skills or ingredients to make good beer. Good that theyre giving it a try, I guess? Edit: 3 years later and IPA still not good at all... Sorry, but to me it tastes like urine and rotten straw, maybe this batch was off?

Refused entry in an impolite way because the rude lady bar tender doesnt understand the international covid certification doesnt work on the Georgian app..Seems clear she doesnt welcome foreign visitors as we could only be in her lovely country if we have the international covid certification.We understand the law but no need for what clearly was racism. Not an issue at all but one establishment since we arrived two weeks ago.

Awfully, awfully, awfully rude service from the female bartender. Almost ruined my entire evening. She said they cook everything exclusively in corn oil as well and cant make substitutions for any reason. Burgers are exclusively cooked well done only.That said...the ambience of the place is nice and from what I remember the food is both quick and tasty. So I am giving two stars for that reason.I imagine this place was much better several years ago and is to some degree coasting off of its former reputation...

Nice place with good food and beer.Sriracha burger was big and tasty. But there was too much mayonnaise, in my opinion. They serve also super tasty fries with each burger.

Really cool spot with local beers. I visited twice during my trip to Georgia. Their tap menu was limited but I was able to try several tasty local beers. The interior is cool and the music was fun. I recommend if you are into beer and in Tbilisi.

If I lived in Tbilisi this would definitely be my local pub/bar. The beers are great, I can recommend the IPA, APA and the cider is incredibly refreshing. The burgers and chicken fingers are delicious. Indoor seating with aircon and outdoor street ambiance available. Big shout to the girl who works behind the bar, she is great.

One of my alltime favorite places in Tbilisi. Great atmosphere, helpful staff, good craft beer and always people there to meet and have a chat with. Particularly love that it’s pet-friendly (they even have a permanent water bowl for dogs). Great french fries!

Tbilisi doesnt have expat bars as we know them in places like Spain they seem to be run and frequented more by locals. Black Dog Bar is one of the best Ive found. Great Juke Box and selection of beers. They even had some English Bitter on tap! Not a huge bar but good atmosphere on a Saturday night once things got going

We were the only clients, the bartender pretended client service is not necessary since they have enough clients. He made fun of me since I did not understand the menu. We are neighbors living next door. Very sad..

Music is fantastic inside! Of course might be not your taste, but I think you will like it. Food is good. Drinks also. Bar stuff is great. Love this place.

Friendly local place in a city where many service establishments seem tourist weary. Excellent beer and an amusing Big Lebowski sub-theme to the bar. Dog friendly as well. Whats more, you get free shots every time the bell ring. It did ring when I was there. Also, I liked the music. No song was a miss, and I went there several times. Finally, a good location on a hipsterish street close but away from the tourist area.

Awesome! The beers are good and cheap - they are 5 lari for a draught. Excellent prices for craft beers. Their burgers were delicious! We tried the chicken and BDB burgers. Both were worth the money. The bartender was friendly and welcoming.

Great rock bar! Simple decoration with movie themes, a few tables and stools, 6-7 beers on tap, some tasty snacks and really good rock music! Plus they have a jukebox so you choose the song you want to listen to.

I really liked this place in the city center! Its very small but it has those European vibes because of the bar and decoration. My favorite part is that you cannot smoke inside, very weird in Tbilisi. So... Recommended!
