Bistro Mathilda in Ostend

Hele vriendelijke bediening. Aangenaam kader om te zitten. De Tatjespap als voorgerecht is prachtig gebracht. De fazant als hoofdgerecht was een mooie gerecht, top.

Het is lang geleden dat ik nog ergens zon uitmuntende bediening heb gezien. Alles liep als een goed geoliede machine. dikke proficiat aan het zeer professioneel zaalteam.daarnaast was er een mooie wijnkaart met meer als genoeg variatie, maar vooral zeer correcte prijzen.op het eten was niets aan te merken, alles super lekker en mooie presentatie. Ik ga al mijn vrienden aanraden om hier te komen eten als ze in Oostende zijn!

Elke keer opnieuw erg lekker (vlotte bediening, frisse gerechten met fijne texturen en verassende combinaties). Dat alles aan aantrekkelijke prijs. Absolute topper!Update na lunch op 8 mei: altijd fijn hier terug te keren, steeds voltreffer en fijne lunch. Super smaken, fijne textuur & vlotte/vriendelijke bediening. Wij blijven terugkomen.

Had one of the better meals here some years ago and quality has gone WAY DOWN. The little shrimp croquettes and the very small soles with deepfried french fries were completely overpriced with little flavor. I left disappointed and wont go back. Totally overrated for just a bistro.

Een fijne sfeer, netjes, zonder dat t opgedirkt of "opzitten" is. Het eten is met zeer veel aandacht klaargemaakt en wordt goed gepresenteerd door de medewerkers.Zelf had ik rog, heerlijk met puree. De stoofschotel zag er waanzinnig lekker uit. Zonder voorgerecht, ruimte voor het dessert: normandische pannenkoek, heerlijk! Ook de kokos panna cotta smaakte goed.

Lives up to its reputation: very tasty food, good service, reservations necessary, they have 2 evening shifts.

Une belle découverte qui présente une belle cuisine fine et de bon goût.Le menu 4 services est merveilleux.Et même si au départ le nom des plats nest pas très révélateur, le goût est au rendez-vous 🤩🥂A visiter !

Our first inside dinner since the new rules are in place. Felt very safe, the tables are well placed and the room is well vented. Very coze venue, friendly and helpful staff and very nice food. If youre looking for a bit more of a fancy dining experience at an affordable price, we can definitely recommend it. 4 courses all in for a little over €100 for us. An enjoyable evening for sure!

This place was highly recommended to us by the owner of the AirBnB that we are staying. A bit hard to book coz we had to find another day and we finally got one which is the earliest shift for dinner time. Place was not too crowded as covid 19 restrictions were observed. When it comes to the staff, it was just fine, can be improved comparing to other michelin restaurants I have been to. I liked how they dressed, not to formal but clean and presentable.The food was also OK. Présentation was good, taste was more than average, wine was good. I can still recommend this place to people who want to go beyond the usual mussels by the bayside but if I have to find a great restaurant for another dinner in Ostend, maybe I should try others first before going back.

Visited in September 2020 - Friday evening.We chose this place as it was recommended as a Bib gourmand in Michelin guide.The place was nice but staff and food was just ok. Nothing special to say to this classic cuisine. There are better place to go in Ostende.

One of the finer restaurants of Oostende. They use quality products in their dishes for a competitive price. Service is excellent and the bosses are always in their restaurant, helping where they can.The steak tartaar is one of the dishes which is prepared at your table (by one of the bossesand is a must.Defenitly recommend this restaurant and their mentioning in the gault-millau makes this place a top visit!

Just amazing food. We had the waltzing Mathilda. It was amazing and our waiter gave great wine advice. If you want the Michelin experience go try this awesome food.

Very nice restaurant with a nice view of the "dikke matille". Do ask for a first floor table.Definately check out their steak tartare, its really good.
