Bismillah Biryani Restaurant One North in Singapore

Worst Service, their closing time is mentioned as 5:00 PM both in web and on store. But when we went there around 3:50 the person inside said can only take away and cannot done-in we came a long way to eat. Should have updated on their website. We also saw 2 more people eating outside of this restaurant. They could have allowed them to eat inside as it was still open when they finish eating. Would never recommend to anyone.

Prices have understandably increased recently, as with many good things in life, but their baby goat biryani is still my favourite biryani in Singapore. I only eat it twice a year and alternate between this branch and their headquarters at Dunlop Street - its almost like a special occasion each time.Saturday lunchtime is especially great because there isnt the usual crowd and you can savour it slowly in peace.

Bismillah we can say in Singapore selling authentic biryani ..taste and aroma is perfect. Must visit for biryani lover

Dont order Large biriyani. Coz there isnt much difference in size between Regular and Large, except the charged of additional 5 dollars. And if you expect any side dish like raita or brinjal curry then you will be disappointed. Costlier when compared to the taste and quantity.

Very good biryani unlike other places. More flavourful and north Indian style which I like.It always a pleasant place to be there. Please dont expect vip treatment like restraunt thats how they keep the costing down. It simple and cozy place inside . Just get your seat after ordering and enjoy the meal.

It was the most horrible biryani in singapore. Tested like cardboard. Had to throw away all of it.

Very bad biryaniThey dont know how to cook biryani . Its just a brand now and no quality.Worse is they cant even server raita. It was all watery and nothing in it.Mutton chappli was uncooked.They are just warming in microwave and serving.Very bad food. Never go again.

Simple and filling briyani dish. Realised they dont serve papadom. $6 was quite filling for us.

Briyani was quite spicy and meat was tender. Overall taste is quite good.Haleem - something not commonly available but the taste was quite good as well!Sheekh kebab was pretty ok just looks wise ....lolPrice wise is a little higher than usual but portion is quite ok.

Great food...place cramped for seating though.A very friendly and lively staff make up for rest, to offer a good ambience.Has not changed much, except that you have to pay upfront and collect your food. And of course there are days when the Chef is off and you can announce it when you take the first mouthful.

Biryani was so-so. Good if you are looking for a large meal (lots of riceto feel full.Taste was very mild and I expected a stronger flavour given the bold statement in front of the restaurant, which claimed to serve “Probably the best biryani anywhere”.

Great Biryani, but very shady business.Food: One of the better Biryani I have eaten in Singapore.However, I am giving a 1-star due to how this restaurant does business.My colleagues and I wanted to try this place out for a while. When we entered, we noticed that on the menu board for Chicken Biryani, there were 2 prices, $6 and $9, indicating that there are 2 serving sizes.We noticed a table of 3 being served Biryani of different pprtion sizes and asked tge staff what are the sizes they ordered. Their reply was “regular and large”. Like any other normal consumer, we would all look at the menu board and linked “regular” to $6 and “large” to $9.So I decided to take the bill up to the staff who took our order and asked why isn’t regular $6? Their reply was that regular was $9 and large is $14. However, this $14 large portion wasn’t indicated on the menu board. We disputed that since $14 wasn’t indicated on the menu board, we assumed $6 was for regular and $9 was for large, and we wanted to have the $6 portion instead. However the staff refused to refund us the difference, saying that once ordered and paid, no refunds will be given.Did I also mention that they charged $0.20 for a cup of ice after paying $2.00 for a can of coke?While the food is great, I would not recommend anybody to patronise this restaurant due to the shady way they conduct business.

Not sure if its this outlet or all but the briyani is not as amazing as it was before, also the restaurant nothing much to look at. Very basic. Still pricy ... I rather go Mr Briyani at keat thier Ambiance better.

Nice Biryani and Haleem! Not very spicy not very Indian! Just the thing for mild palate! Their Chapali kebab is good!

The biryani has authentic taste with all the indian spices and rice. I have veg biryani and loved it like anything.

A little too spicy at times, causes intense spice related stomach aches the next day

Good food. Unfortunately they use Styrofoam cups for hot drinks. Styrofoam can leach chemical called styrene into hot liquids like tea or coffee. Bring your own cup if possible.

A satellite outlet that doesnt seem to cook on-site. All biryani comes from a central kitchen and stored in commercial-type warmers. Makes the rice steeped in meat juices and flavours. Im down with that just fine. Still the trademark light, rosy biryani that makes the brand famous... good stuff.

Didnt even get to try the food, just the attitude is enough to turn you off.The menu showed 2 sizes for the briyani but never specify the name for the sizes. So happened the guy was about to serve a briyani, i asked is that big or small and he told me thats the Regular size, which by norm I took it to be the smaller size.Placed order and realised they charge me the higher price for both the briyani. I asked why, then the lady said the smaller size is kid size (?!?). I said fine, then just change 1 of the 2 briyani to the smaller size, she said cannot void. The guy then said, why dont i just add another item and they serve a smaller briyani but charge me the same total. Its precisely because my family are small eaters thats why I bother to find out about serving in the first place.I just walked out. Why didnt he just answer my question if that size is big or small?? Doesnt matter if they are out to con, or plainly rigid, I am not going to waste my money and calories there.

This chain has always struggled with hygiene. This outlet is better than the other one, but doesnt do a good enough job. The Biryani is better than a lot of other places where I have had it, and the only reason why I keep going back. The Nexus outlet is probably the best one to go to if you are around the fusionopolis area. Recommended atleast once and then at your own risk.

Honestly its just so so.There a lot of rice and spice but theres no kick in it. Everything seems like it came out of a recipe book. Standard briyani rice with star anis and chicken and egg, and 1 portion is enough for 2.The place is small and seats are limited so you may have to squeeze and share tables.Ive had better to be honest

Nice biryani however would have been a better experience if they can also focus on providing a little more warmth in service than just providing food. The haleem would have been nice served with naan or bread instead of just by itself.

The food is a little more pricey compared to other conventional biryani places, however its completely worth the price. The biryani tastes amazing and is not oily at all. They are so confident in their biryani they dont even offer any curry, as the biryani does not require any form of assistance in the taste department. Totally recommend going, however be prepared to wait as the place is heavily patronised during lunch time. The staff are friendly and will assist in finding you a spot to sit regardless of your party size.

Awesome and only place in Singapore to relish good biryani! One north outlet should either hire extra person for crowd handling or expand the sitting area. Gets too conjested for having meal comfortably. But biryani taste is super

Good ingredient quality and good-sized portions, in a bare-bones environment. The vegetarian briyani is OK but monotonous (not much variety in texture or taste from bite to biteand sometimes too sour, so I enjoy the first half but rarely wind up finishing it. My non-veg friends say the mutton is what its all about; I wouldnt know.

Not worth it - Im kind of disappointed today due to my experience here at One North. The service is quite slow and I could spend $9 happily in other Indian Restaurants but not here. The price list didnt show any size option like $6 (smallor $9 (bigand we felt like it was deceiving to be charged $9 for our chicken biryani (considering no curry, papadom or any veggie salad). Sorry but for me, I dont think I can recommend this.

Bismillah Biriyani is a trademark of its own. Definitely one of the best authentic biriyani available in Singapore. This place is a branch but have all the charisma of the main shop near Little India. This one closes quickly, which is a bit problem. And they also have some of the best traditional desserts to accompany the most beautiful Mughlai dishes available there.

Bismillah Biryani is one of the best places for Biryani. They are always packed and customers have to wait outside. Their Haleem is their signature dish and it’s recommended to order with biryani. Most of the people go for their chicken biryani which is their most popular dish. Will come here many more times.

Nice chicken briyani. But it can get busy during lunch time, which your order may be overlooked, just need to follow up closely.

the food is great! Simple no nonse great food.. smells great from far it calls you to come in m enjoy a bite. they have exactly one desert option the pista kulfi n its irresistible... I did like the fact that I was not bombarded with choices n there was Pure Veg Biryani which I ordered and that was it. p.s. they also serve thumbs up... a true thumbs up for this place.

Without any doubt they sale Singapores best CHICKEN Biryani and Haleem.Baked samosa (vegi, Chicken and muttonis their another speciality.Their Kulfi is also awesome. So all in all its a very nice eating place for me. Cleanliness, good food presentation and quick service are the plus too of this place.Only con I see there is the place size. Maximum they can accomodate 25 dine in customers at a time.

Very good. Mutton biryani and haleem are very good. The spice levels are high so need to reduce it by kulfi. The quality of food is good. It is crowded nowadays due to which they dont deliver many of the items online.

It is a perfect place to satiate your cravings for Biryani and other muslim food. They have chicken n mutton Biryani which is served with raita. Do try their mango lassi which goes well on a hot day. This place is usually crowded during lunch time so make sure you reach slightly early. The ambience is simple and so is the seating arrangment but the food is delicious.

Ordered via food panda on 7th July. This review is not for the restaurant but just for the Dum biriyani which we ordered. Order was delivered on time but the food was not tasty at all. We ordered it since we had a guest and it was embarrassing situation for us as it was not at all good. Luckily we had prepared some other items at home so survived with that. I did order it because someone said to me that it was good. This review is not for all the dishes and just a constructive feedback for the owners to take necessary actions.

I patronized Bismilllah Biryani two days back and I must say their service was great. To be honest, their biryani is not to my liking for I still prefer the ones served with curry and the meat separate. However, there is a reason why I still gave this place 4 stars. I noticed that the owner has a firm stand on making healthier and non - greasy biryani. When I tried their biryani, I was pleasantly surprised to see NO traces of oil or grease on my plate. I could see the effort taken to prepare such a dish. To be frank, how many F&B owners really care about their customers health??? Kudos to the owner for taking the effort to cook healthy.

The biryanis of Bismillah do not require an introduction, any food lover in Singapore knows about their awesome taste and quality. Try the kid-goat biryani for 15$, its their top-selling item. The bigger branch of Bismillah is at Perak Road in Little India. The only downside of this One-North branch is that it closes early at 7 pm.

It was a new kind of Biriyani, I tried the goat biriyani, the quantity was high, really high, I could not finish it. This was the first time in my life, I had enough biriyani in single a serving (of all hotels).I am a biriyani lover, I have tasted biriyani in most of the famous biriyani places in India. This was quite different and awesome.I recommend this for biriyani lovers, It is slightly pricey, worth for money.Service was good.

One of the best mutton biriyanis I ever had. Get a Kulfi after your meal to make the experience complete.

Bismillah biryani is spicy and nice. Their chicken chapalli is really awesome. The samosas seemed like they are not deep fried ( as is traditionally donerather they are baked. The mutton biryani is definitely better than the chicken biryani. If you even visit the restaurant and not order online dont forget to end your meal with a malai kulfi. The kulfi is exceptional and the best you get in Singapore. The new one north branch is also very clean and has a much better decor compared to the Little India branch.

The food is a bit above average, but expensive for what it is. The rice is a tad bit dry, and served only with a small quantity of Indian yogurt.However, the chicken briyani served is very flavourful.The ambiance resembles a canteen more than a restaurant or café, and being a halal food establishment, alcohol is not served.The place can get rather crowded during the lunch hour as offices from around the area pour into it and other restaurants in the area.

The biryani served here is much better in terms of taste compared to others. Service is fast, portion of food served is also sufficient for one person. The mutton chapli (minced meat is also pretty good

Inconsistent quality. Last week was pretty good. This week I felt like Im eating leftovers. Chicken was dry. Many items on menu not available. Price wasnt that ideal too. $8.50 for briyani ... $3 for lassi. $2.50 for a cup of diluted tea.. small kulfi I think its $2.50 nah..... I wont go again..

There was a time biryani quality here was the best. Biryani has become worst now. Raita is 98% water. Very very disappointing.

The price is slightly at the higher end, but i must say really worth it. The aroma of the rice itself is so rich. I have tried both the chicken and mutton ("kid goat" they claim), both are yummy and so tender
