Indoor venue featuring birds & reptiles, plus the biggest free-flying bird aviary in the world.
We had a good experience here. They have different kind of birds and you get to pet a Macaw here. It was humid and warm inside bird kingdom which gives you a feeling as you are in jungle. It is a good place for little kids and families you get to see and learn so much about different birds.
Very beautiful place. Website says 45min-1hr and it can be done it that time but I was there for 2 and would have happily spent more time but they were closing. Very informative staff and many beautiful birds who are clearly taken care of and wellloved. Having the lorikeets landing on you was such a treat and loved the selection in the giftstore as well.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. Im not really a bird enthusiast but I like seeing and learning about animals. Its a wonderful experience especially being able to walk around between the birds.
Not just birds, but also turtles, spiders, axolotl, bats, and other creatures! Larger than expected. Staff generally friendly, although the main teller was a bit curt. Maybe a little expensive (buy your tickets online in advance on their website to save a bit), but also more content than you might expect. Everybody had a good time, and feeding/interacting with the lorikeet was especially fun!
Its a really cool place to visit with or without kids. Its about an hour to see everything. You can see turtles walking around, bird flying here and there, get up and close without any issues. Really worth the cost and you will have fun. The birds seem to be well taken care of with plenty of space too.
Great place to go with family. It’s very fun. Especially for animal lovers. There’s many birds and many cool experiences where you get to walk through birds flying and there’s a rainforest full of birds flying about. There’s even a small area where you can feed the birds and hold them.
Great exhibits that really focus on the animals comfort while still being very viewable. They had a free bird feeding encounter I took part in, and overall the atmosphere was really neat.
Great place! I purchased tickets on Groupon at a discount and would recommend others to do so as well. There are a couple of floors with a museum, small bird aviary, reptile section, large aviary, and a gift shop. The birds are beautiful and can find many different color birds flying closeby. They also had a section where an employee would get them to do tricks like say hello, see you later, etc. Ill definately be back as my daughter gets older. I would recommend as a fun game for kids to have a printout of photos/list of the birds and the kids can check them off when they spot them. The gift shop was really nice too, I would even say its better than any of them on Clifton Hill.
This Aviary was delightful. Staff was very friendly and educational. Design for the main Aviary was very unique and gave you the opportunity to view the birds at multiple heights. Large variety and they rescue. Check it out, we loved it.
Loved it!! There were reptiles, large and small aviary areas, and a place to feed them. Also bats and tarantulas. The gift shop is adorable and prices arent awful. You can buy a small stuffed animal for $10, etc.
I just was there and I must say what a beautiful great experience! I had a wonderful time! Here are some of my professional shots of the birds! I highly recommend for families, adults, and kids!
If it werent for my wife, I would not have gone. I had low expectations for this place, but I was very pleasantly surprised by the aviaries and the attention that the staff paid to the birds and visitors, alike. The birds really seem well cared for. The aviary at the end was very impressive. We spent a couple of hours here, including a rest stop while we were in the small bird aviary, just enjoying the finches flitting around us.
Bought 2 tickets off of Groupon for $15 each which was defiantly worth it! There is a HUGE array of birds an animals. The staff are extremely knowledgeable. One staff member was showing us different tricks the birds can do - it was nice to hear that if the birds do not want to go the viewing perch area they are not forced to they can remain in the aviary. The birds looked well taken care of and healthy. There were also bats, spiders, turtles, frogs, fish for viewing as well. The open aviary is magical. There are different floors with different birds on each floor. Birds are flying and lounging all over. You are able to feed birds nectar as well. The only annoying part of that is they will take a photo of you feeding the birds but you arent allowed to take photos with your own camera. Essentially you must pay 10$ in order to obtain a electronic copy of the photo. Thats the only part that was annoying. Everything else was GREAT!
My family and I had an amazing time at this place.Big variety of beautiful birds form all over the world. All exhibits were great, clearly a lot of effort was put into every part of this establishment.Highly recommend it.
I loved Bird Kingdom. I have an aviary of my own so it was a blast seeing on that was so large and had such a variety of birds. My husband and I went in a busy weekend, but we were able to find parking and it was large enough that it didn’t feel overcrowded. The birds were a joy to watch. I could have spent all day in there. Also, if you like photography at all this place offers lots of opportunities for some great pictures. My husband commented on how clean and well cared for the area was. They do a nice job and it was well worth the price of admission.
Saw this last minute and did a quick u-turn. Best decision ever!!!!So much to see and experience. We truly enjoy watching birds on our property but the opportunity to see these beautiful creatures from all over, freely flying was breathtaking. It doesn’t end there, artifacts, reptiles and so much more. Could you be so lucky and have a bird land on you🤷. Definitely place it on your itinerary. Parking available as well which makes life so much better.
tonnes of fun to be so close to a variety of birds! some talk! participate in the feeding and get a souvenir photo for $10. so much fun. some birds will poop on you but they are small and easy to clean. mostly nectar liquid, nothing too gross.
If youre going to visit Niagara falls in Canada and like birds, take some time and visit Bird Kingdom. There are beautiful birds only seen in a tropical forest. The settings are well designed and staff is available for questions. The ticket prices are very reasonable.
Nice place to see all kinds of birds in one place. Kids can enjoy if they like birds flying around and to their different sounds.. I enjoyed it along with my family.
One of the cooler things we did while in Niagara. The last stop on the self guided tour was in the huge aviary and we stayed in there for 30 minutes we had so much fun there. Friendly educators located throughout.
Brought my grandpa (avid bird photographerand this aviary is a memory he will have for the rest of his life!Parakeet feeding was so much fun and overall amazing immersive jungle experience for all! (:*Was a bit busy inside but the wait time for entrance wasnt long at all and it helps that the path is one-way only
Really cool place to visit! There were quite a few areas within the kingdom where you saw many varieties of birds and other animals. The only downside Id say is parking. There is very limited parking in their (paidparking lots (including the two above ground and one below). We had to drive around the neighborhood and back before we decided to park somewhere in the lot that wasnt even a spot (there just wasnt anything around).Overall a really cool experience, young children will LOVE it.
Really neat experience! Theres also an opportunity to hold and feed some of the birds at certain times throughout the day! Be sure to have your picture taken if you do that, a keeper will be in that area to help you. So many exotic birds (and other animalsto see!
The quality of a bird kingdom is dictated by the health of the birds in there. This conservation felt like a sanctuary for all birds. They were well fed and had great energy. The initial two aviary really sets your expectations low until you reach the main aviary. It was very well maintained and had lot of tropical plant species. There is a waterfall and a large cage for feeding birds. Cameras are restricted within the cage for obvious reasons. The kids enjoyed the close encounter feeding sessions within the cage. If you are a photographer you would love how they have staged the aviary. All of the aviaries were beautiful and is a must see if you visit Niagara. The place is conveniently located facing the Niagara with dedicated parking spots. If you are visiting during the weekdays you will definitely get a parking spot. Weekends can get really busy. Overall 5/5
100/100 RECOMMEND!!It’s humid until you get into the Aviary. But beautiful birds and other small creatures are everywhere. The big birds are getting retrained to be handled by the public again due to COVID but there is a part in the Aviary that you are able to take pictures with the smaller parakeets I believe. It was so beautiful, they roamed freely and they were not scared of the people.
01/15/2020As a bird lover I needed to go to bird kingdom. It was such a beautiful experience. There were a lot of different kinds of birds such as doves, bats, parrots. It was very easy to navigate in the building.
Amazing place! The Bird Kingdom was bigger than I had anticipated. The staff were kind and knowledgeable and really showed that the animals were treated well and had good homes. We learned that all the animals were given up by previous owners and the facility serves as a rescue/rehab for the animals. Overall, super impressed by the Bird Kingdom. Would highly recommend coming here and we will most definitely be back our next time in Niagara!
Amazing experience! Most of the birds are roaming free and arent too shy. The laurakeet landing had a bit of a wait, but worth it to have the birds on your arm. Watch out for droppings from above at the lower levels of the main aviary.
The initial museum and smaller aviary leaves much to be desired and I wasnt too hopeful... That is until we went into the huge indoor open concept aviary which really gives you the true Bird Kingdom experience!Even the mascot blue bird was hanging about for some picture taking.Parking is free but limited spots, so go early or be prepared to wait it out.Definitely worth a look and bring your cameras!I give them 9/10!
Believe it or not, this is actually one of the cheaper things you can do at the falls. We purchased discount online tickets directly from their website. If they ever discontinue that offer, theyre always seems to be groupons available. The parking machine was actually broken, but I believe the price said it was something like $3 per half hour. A bargain, given the area. The building is divided up into aviaries full of free flying exotic birds. Plus other critters in tanks and cages. Our 5-year-old loved it, especially the cage where you can feed the conures. There are stairs, so be aware of that.
Pretty cool place if you like birds. If you dont, well, dont go.Lots of cool birds, and exhibits. My kids had a blast. Definitely a neat attraction thats different from all the haunted houses and arcades on the main strip.
Awesome place to visit. You go to a zoo and all animals are sadly locked in their enclosures, you go to safari and you are sadly locked in your car, but here, both you and the animals are free to roam, and the animals are all very active doing different things. It really feels like we are in their kingdom trying to figure out their customs and way of life. I’ve seen people who just dash through the trails and complain it’s too short, but that’s really not the best way to enjoy this place. Just sit on a bench and immerse yourself in the environment.
Lots of family fun! Beautiful exotic birds, they also had snakes, turtles, bats and more. The Lorikeet landing was really cool. You could hold and feed the birds. Tickets were reasonably priced on Groupon. Also Bird kingdom is stroller & wheelchair friendly, with lots of places to sit.Would recommend 😃.
I’d highly recommend doing this with children. It’s a beautiful display or birds and plant life - the atrium area was breathtaking and interacting with birds on an extremely close level was a great experience.I am deaf to high pitch sounds, so found it pleasantly quiet .. but apparently it is very loud at times. Just a word of warning to those with sensitive ears
Disappointed! I felt the birds stressed and the space small for the quantity of birds. It definitely needs a good renovation. Some rooms very small for the visitors. I bought the tickets online and I had to line up as everybody buying their tickets there. I won’t come back.
I truly enjoyed this experience. Literally right over the Canadian border. It was about $80 for 4 people. Although it started off lackluster and appeared to be a waste of money, the end was truly spectacular. There were so many interesting birds just walking around. I would definitely return.
Saw some really good birds and such but for the price, its not worth it. The place is small and it was on three levels. It can be hard for people with disabilities and older people like my mother in law; even though there was an elevator, the layout wasnt ideal.
Had a blast visiting Bird Kingdom. A definite must see if you are a lover of avian species. Multiple floors and a huge open air aviary. Also lots of species of reptiles, amphibians and other small animals. Get up close and personal with many species of birds. What fun!
It is an interesting place to spend time, especially when you are with children. From the beginning, the world of these birds is gradually getting in touch with them. The staff is generally friendly, organizes small performances with birds, and keeps the children busy. In the end, of course, souvenirs shop.I recommend...
its such a nice place to visit and the main aviary is the best part because your surrounded by the birds. They are free to roam and this is when you can truly view the birds in their most natural way. Great place for a family adventure.
Such an amazing experience. Fun for all age groups honestly. Not only birds, there were turtles, bats, spiders, eels and other mamals and amphibians and reptiles. There are restrooms present and a gift shop at the exit. Would visit again, absolutely beautiful experience
When you think of Niagara Falls, you probably dont think of the Bird Kingdom, but you actually should, because to me, its one of the better attractions. The signage out front needs some major updating, as do some spots here and there inside. The entry fee is ridiculous too.But other than that, its quite cool. They have more than just birds too. They have a donated animal section that features some tortoises for instance. They also have a nocturnal section which was surprisingly neat too.The best is last, which is the massive enclosure where the big birds are, flying around in their habitat and you get to walk right through the 3 levels.Next time youre in the Niagara region, check out this attraction, you probably wont regret it.4/5.
The bird kingdom is one of my favourite places in the world to visit. It can be incredibly calming. Generally Ill sit in the small free-fly aviary for about an hour to watch the birds do their thing.Highly recommended for people of all ages!
I liked it. There were exotic birds through a labyrinth. Kids though it was fun to see interesting and unusual birds.Visit Monday of March break, 2 adults, 2 kids. The birds are pretty. There are several aviaries. It is mostly accessible through an elevator but the ramp back down is rather steep in some places which might feel clumsy with a large chair, walker or cane. Also lots of doors on springs (keep birds in aviarythat need to be opened. There are benches throughout the facilities.Toilets are available when you enter and before you leave. Once you exit to the gift shop, (wet kids expectations before enteringyou dont have access to toilets. The bird handlers were polite, gentle and genuinely interested in the birds. It would be nice to have more information on the birds in the aviaries. Where are they from? Are they endangered? Where are they found? Are they invasive in Canada? Strange facts...
Gorgeous place, lots of professional staff taking care of the animals. Cute little museum before going into the aviary. So many beautiful plants and birds. Gift shop prices arent insane, either. Were local and we all grabbed a thing or two before leaving.
Amazing experience this time coming back after 3 yrs. I really didnt remember it was so much fun. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about all the animals and ready to answer any of your questions.I used to have to pay to play with the parrots, not anymore, maybe its included in the tickets. It was a Sat so its quite busy but we as a family enjoyed it so much. Spent a good 2hrs30mins there. We will definitely come back!! <3
What a neat experience to be had! Not a typical tourist attraction by any means. With tons of different birds and various other animals, some that even wave hello, its a pretty cool experience regardless of age. Cheap parking, decent priced ticket, and a great experience to be had. Highly recommend!
Overall Very interesting place they have a weird set up. and some questionable decor choices ( like the fake Egyptian sarcophagus next to tropical frogs terrarium)But regardless of that it’s really an entertaining place. The most interesting area in the Inca / Mayan inspired glass dome that hosts a lush gardens on several floors and hundreds of birds roaming free inside. It’s one of the biggest temperatures controlled indoor domes of a kind in North America. They have So many species of birds from all kind all climates all sizes. It’s A dream place for kids and photographers. If you’re in Niagara Falls def it’s worth visiting
Amazing experience, just under $50 for two people and we really enjoyed every moment. Walking around while the birds chirp and fly around you is just enchanting. There are so many different different types and colours!
This is an absolutely wonderful place to visit. Our two young kids enjoyed the visit. You start off by going through a historical section explaining the history of the place as well as some of the history of Niagara Falls. Then there are a number of displays leading into some case displays of tortoises turtles and parrots. The big thing is of course the Avery on the third floor. It is a multi-story area where birds are free to fly and roam around. There is a path that leads through the Avery slowly heading downhill. The Avery is also beautifully seemed. I would gladly visit this place again.
