Bird In Hand Winery - Winery in Adelaide, Australia
Bird In Hand Winery in Adelaide
Description
Kick off the jackboots, settle down on your sofa and put on a good film, I find that Bird In Hand goes well with movies such as The Pianist, The Boy In Striped Pyjamas and everyones favourite Schindlers List, perfect for a nice Red.
MoreGreat wine! All bad reviews are from Anti-Vaxxers! Ha
Forcing a Bioweapon into your workers arms. I guess you haven’t heard the latest from Brett Sutton that 1 jab 2 jabs 3 jabs 4 or maybe more DO NOT WORK they don’t stop infections or stop you catching it which is what a vaccine is supposed to do. They like many others including bosses will be held accountable for the injuries they have caused on everyone.
MoreWas being shown around the Adelaide Hills and went to the winery to purchase some wine. Didnt check out if it was open and obviously found out that it wasnt on that day. Didnt stop the staff making allowances for forgetful people. Got a couple of very nice reds. Thanks heaps.
MoreTeam discriminates if you don’t take an experimental novel injection with no long term clinical studies and you don’t care about corrupted regulatory authorities controlled by corporate power.
MoreFood was very average, service could be better. Wine tasted like nuns pee. Fortunately I wont be going back as Im not VACCINATED.
MoreI love the SB... it is all I drink these days! The sparkling and rose are lovely too!
MoreI wont ever buy Bird in Hand products again. How shameful to discriminate against people based on their jab status. The Covid-19 jabs are leaky vaccines that dont prevent infection nor transmission, which purportedly provide dubious protection of very limited duration, against a disease it was known from the beginning wasnt a serious threat to most people. Its appalling that people are being bullied to submit to these defective jabs. Who are Bird in Hand to seek to interfere with peoples personal healthcare decisions? Were they influenced by the SA Government on this matter?
MoreAbsolutely adore bird in hand winery !!! Great wines, and clearly only has bad reviews because of anti-vaxxers ! Would recommend to absolutely anyone and can’t wait to come back 🥰
MoreTo see businesses, small or large take steps in attempt to undermine individual freedoms and medical choices on nothing but fear principles and political pressures is disgusting. I truly hope you consider pushing back these inhumane measures alongside the honorable people that would very willingly support you should you drop the discrimination antics.
MoreGreat wine, gorgeous setting. Very happy that they are taking the COVID safe approach - super keen to visit their cellar door when construction works are complete.
MoreThis business will always be remembered as one of the first Adelaide venues to blatantly support discrimination.Hopefully that "temporarily closed" will eventually turn into "permanently closed"Never again will I support or recommend bird in hand.
MoreConsistently great wines. Fantastic location. Picturesque views of the Adelaide Hills. Definitely will be going back again.
MoreLove this wine, the venue and the amazing people. I will continue to buy your products and would visit your venue again in a heartbeat. Keep up the amazing work!
MoreAmazing winery and wine. One of our favourites. Thank you for enforcing covid protocols and making sure your winery is a safe place for people to visit.Very sorry to see all these Karen’s with their 1 star reviews based on a winery looking after the health and safety of its customers. Pathetic.
MoreI will never buy from or recommend this winery ever. Their judgemental, self righteous indignation is deplorable. I would rather drink a hot can of beer past it’s use by date
MoreI have been many timesIm double vaxedWhen I heard of the discrimination this winery has toward people that do not want to get vaccinated horrified meI will not spend one more cent in a company that agrees with dictatorshipNo thanks plenty of wonderful wineries around that make everyone feel welcomed
MoreThis is the most amazing venue with many quality wines to choose from. Dont miss it when visiting Adelaide Hills wineries or when choosing a venue.(and please read the genuine reviews only on this winery)
MoreI particularly enjoy their newest wines ‘2020 Discrimination in the Bush Shiraz’ and also the ‘2021 Nest Egg Segregation Merlot’. I didn’t get to try their Medical Apartheid Cheese Board, apparently that’s only for a few select people. What a great group of loving caring people.
MoreIm obsessed with their Nest Egg range! Just about anything they make Ill drink. Gorgeous wines, winery and staff. The first business to be proactive during a global pandemic and to put the health of its staff and patrons above its reputation, which the anti-vax community seems hell-bent on ruining. Luckily, wineries are only actually impacted by people that drink their wine, not people throwing around 1 star reviews while they suck at wine from a box
MoreSadly, because of their discrimination I will never take people there again. Such a shame, beautiful venue, food and wine but I will not be part of any apartheid of any kind.
MoreSuch a beautiful location! And ever better wine! This winery is top of my list of places to go once I can! Love that they have put their customers safety and health first dispute having to bear the brunt of the noisy minority who seem to be hell-bent on spreading the plague.
MoreDelicious wines and a beautiful venue! I am grateful for your double vaccination policy as I will still be able to visit your gorgeous home and feel safe as I am immunocompromised. I hope more venues follow in your footsteps. Great work!
MoreService was horrible staff were unpleasant to say the least they were very rude ruined the function multiple guests complained. Wine very average not worth the time or money visiting. Much better wineries in SA worth visiting
MoreI used to purchase wine from Bird in Hand online and was always impressed with the quality. Now that they are openly discriminating against sections of the community and acting in direct contradiction to the corporate values stated on their website, I will no longer buy anything from them and will actively encourage all friends and family to boycott your winery.
MoreFantastic place, great wine and awesome staff!I am so glad that we now get to enjoy it with other sensible vaccinated people (& not the crazy antivax mob)!Thank you BIH and shame on the people for giving this amazing company one star reviews...Grow up!
MoreDisgraceful to promote segregation, discrimination, medical apartheid on behalf of the govt. Letting in only vaccinated people whom can still spread & transmit the virus Is not keeping anyone safe, just doing the govts dirty work for them. Shameful for a family business !
MoreThese guys used to be unreal, divine environment and atmosphere, however it is such a shame I will no longer be able to visit with the wife as they have banned unvaccinated clientele. That being said, should they realise that theyre actions are misinformed and they open up to ALL again, I may, and I mean may, return.
MoreGreat wine, beautiful venue, and a business that obviously cares about the safety and comfort of their patrons and staff. I cannot wait to visit again soon!
MoreHow disgusting of this business to discriminate against someones personal, private medical choices. Some people are at serious risk of ill health or even death caused by potential adverse effects of these vaccines (note, its not even the CDCS definition of a vaccine as it doesnt stop the spread or stop anyone catching it). Each persons medical requirements are different. Never should any medical procedure be one size fits all... EVER.
MoreAny business that discriminates against non vaccinated people is not worth visiting, or supporting this small mindedness. What a shame that you actually think this is the way forward, the massive step back into apartheid and segregation times. Follow the science and stats and you will SEE that it’s the vaccinated that keep spreading this virus and that they might be the ones perpetuating a virus that could have just blown over already.REMEMBER WHEN we used to go to the doctor with a virus and they said, “go rest, there is nothing we can give you.. just let it blow over”...Shame, shame, shame. Hopefully you’ll live to regret your moronic decisions to divide our beautiful people.
MoreMy body, my choice. My choice is to never buy your product again. I will encourage all of my friends and customers to boycott your product also. This is reminiscent of Germany in the 1930s. Its people like you that remained silent and watched trucks taking people to the gas chambers.
MoreAs a small boutique accommodation we have been providing your product to our guests for a few years. It is disappointing to hear your will discriminate against the unvaxxed at your winery. Time to look for a new supplier 😡
MoreI love Bird In Hand wine. Have been there a few times for wine tastings and the staff are always friendly and knowledgeable about the wines. Classy place.
MoreThanks 7news for the heads up. Any business that discriminates against non vaccinated people is not worth visiting, Keeping in mind that being vaccinated doesnt stop you getting covid or stop you spreading it. Could it be possible that BIH is worried that if some unvaccinated person catches covid at their winery and dies they might some how be liable.
MoreThank you Bird in Hand for your stance on public health and safety. Excellent winery and my favourite Rosé. Ignore all the one stars, they are the loud minority.
MoreBusiness supporting medical apartheid and blatant discrimination out of free choice. Wow, I guess you and your family don’t need business and will sadly learn the hard way. You just lost an extremely loyal customer. I know I’m not the first and wont be the last. Won’t be long before your cellar door becomes a closed door and you’re on government benefits. 1 star is actually being far too generous ... pity unable to leave zero star. Utterly disgraceful.
MoreI cant share a review as Im not jabbed to get into your establishment. This is discrimination and disgraceful to your fellow Australians. You obviously havent done any research into this plandemic. With the double jab and the continued poisonous boosters you will be injecting into all your staff, hope you have a good compensation fund. Just a quick question do you have a MSDS for your staff to review ? Good luck moving forward!!!
MoreNo business should take a stance on an individuals personal choice, particularly one as critical as health. You are actively participating in and promoting medical apartheid. My body, my choice. Your business, your choice. I expect you won’t be reaping the rewards of this horrific choice to jump on the bandwagon.
MoreI will never support any business that discriminates. Off my list to visit, plenty of great wineries that don’t discriminate to choose from. Makes me sick to my stomach to think this is happening.
MoreGreat spot, really enjoyable. Food is fantastic in a very relaxed environment.
Fantastic, I would give it 10 star rating.Staff fantastic attentive..food absolutelyPerfect wide selection of food..
MoreAlways such a great time at the cellar door. Platters are generous sizes with a lot of variety and especially delicious in the sun. Wine tasting pours are also generous and the staff are very knowledgeable. The staff are very accommodating and will try to cater for all. There is also a coffee cart for those on the go those who need a kick before the next vineyard. Not a winery to be missed.
MoreGreat place and a good selection of Wine for an affordable price. Friendly staff and free Wine tasting.
MoreWe went to Bird In Hand to purchase some wines but decided to try a couple of other wines which we haven’t had before. The guy behind the counter was terrible. We only tried 3 wines in less than 5 minutes but he couldn’t hide it that we were simply wasting his time. I definitely wouldn’t recommend going to Bird in Hand for any type of nice experience- the wines are decent but just buy them from a bottle shop rather than at the cellar door.
MoreTasting experience lacked the personal touch. We ordered an antipasto platter, wine and a coffee and they brought the platter out but completely forgot the wine and coffee until reminded. Wines are all a bit too sweet for my taste. Great setting though! Beautiful venue.
MoreWe had a great tasting experience. Even on a cold winters day, they had a friendly staff member greeting us as we arrived and showing us inside. Their cellar door was warm and cosy with toasty fires. My husband was designated driver and enjoyed a coffee while I sampled their tastings. Very impressed at their level of service and will be returning!
MoreWent for a wine tasting and took away a good couple of whites. The overall experience was great server was relaxed, super friendly and, at just 18, exceptionally knowledgeable. They are just about to go through a period of works to expand the cellar door and restaurant.
MoreVery strong recommend! Great service and experience, go with the degustation!!!
While the wines are reasonable, the cellar door experience is lack lustre. Dont come here if youre looking for an intimate wine tasting experience, where youll be served by the same person as you sample wines. We had 3 servers for 3 wines, who were not particularly attentive and even boxed different wines to the ones we purchased!
