Not the first time here, and enjoyed the locks each time. Lovely walk by the side of the canal and coffee & cake to finish!
Such a spectacular piece of canal construction, a great canalside walk, and a good wee cafe.
Bingley Five Rise Locks, a good place to visit. Realising that the entire canal (Leeds to Liverpooland locks were all dug/built by hand is quite unbelievable.
Lovely cafe on the locks reasonably priced nice walk
Fabulous place to go for walks with or without dogs. Fantastic cafe lovely staff.
Great place. Very scenic and a marvel of civil engineering.
Lovely relaxing afternoon out .you can walk miles either way if you want very scenic Ive been several times the cafe is wonderful highly recommend
The Five rise locks are only a 10 minute walk from Bingley, after the first set of three locks there is a very steep incline up to the second set of five which could be a problem for people in wheelchairs but at the top is a cafe selling refreshments and canal memorabilia.
Historical interest, great for cycling, scenic. Great cafe at the top
Great spot to stop for a break if walking Canal path to Saltaire.Recommended cafe which has great selection of food and drinks.

Beautiful piece of industrial architecture. Fascinating to see the barges heading up and down the Leeds Liverpool canal. With the added gem of a superb cafe to refresh yourself on a amble, walk or route march.
Wonderful place to visit 😊

Great place for a walk and a great little cafe for coffee and cake too.
Ive enjoyed a visit to Bingley Five Rise Locks because the river was very fresh and the boats are very busy. What a stupendous experience it has been.
Unique locks 10 mins walk from Bingley fire station via bridge..there is parking next to the allotment nearby if you come up via park rd instead.
Lovely to see the locks in action, with a longboat coming in. First experience.
Lovely little hidden gem, really peaceful and nice to just look at the locks.
Very interesting especially if you are lucky enough to see a boat passing through
Very good apart from dropping phone in top lock 🙈
Very impressive and a lovely canal walk , great cafe at the locks
Great experience to pass through here in a canal boat. Very cheerful bunch of lock-keepers to see you through safely.
Well organised. Great fun to go through
Great experience. Thanks to the Canal Trust team for guiding us through!
Its a nice walk along the canal.... as with most canal walks bit can be spoilt by the occasional cyclist who think that riding fast past pedestrians is acceptable. Most however are curtious. The locks are interesting to see in operation.
Nice place to watch the boats rise and go down the locks and Nice place to have a drink at the cafe
A beautiful place to have a little lunch at the café and only 10 mins walk from town. The locks are interest also, rising 60ft overall 👍
Nice little place to stop for a walk and watch the canal boats make their way through the locks. Fascinating to think how old they are. Theres a little cafe here too, but was closed when we visited.
Very interesting feat of engineering
Must go, especially when the locks are been used.
Stopped here from rodley on a bike ride, lovely little stop off point, or even to start from, a little cafe for refreshments, you wont be dissapointed
We are blessed living so close by to our beautiful Leeds Liverpool canal. Wonderful views. Awesome wildlife. Peaceful scenery.
