Bill's Welwyn Garden City Restaurant in Xindi

We had a girls day out on Welwyn Garden City and kicked started our day with Brunch. The decor is pleasant (shabby chic meets industrial). There is a wide choice of breakfast options. I had the garden plate which was HUGE. The beans were luke warm and the tomates were hard (not roasted), but there was still plenty to eat on the plate. My friend had an item of missing from her order and it was difficult to get the attention of staff. They were very busy and probably need more staff on a Saturday but a pleasant time was had by all.

Kids eat free over the summer holidays always helps. Good food and experience.

Went there 3 years ago wouldnt go back food bland staff lazy had to wait ages to be served

First visit to this location. The staff were polite, and extremely helpful, greeted with a warm smile and personality. The food was cooked to perfection and the overall service was exceptional. Thank you for great service.

Food was pretty expensive for what it was, but did taste good and was presented beautifully. Atmosphere is very social and not always for me.

Abigail was lovely, great customer service! Clearly very busy and under pressure but she remained polite, friendly and helpful.

The steak was the perfect texture but if you don’t like salt, it’s not for you, the only thing I can critique is how insanely salty the steak was. Every other aspect was spot on. The tarragon Mayo is a perfect sauce for anything if I’m honest, my partner even took some and paired it with their fish finger sandwich.The caramel and chocolate tart came with a scoop of coconut sorbet and crushed Oreo cookie and oh my GOODNESS WOW. Such exquisite taste and texture (personally I don’t like coconut so I would’ve preferred lemon or raspberry because the coconut ended up tasting like coconut oil). The crumbly base was wonderful and it’s a perfect dessert overall.Highly recommend this restaurant for all times of the day, vegan friendly and excellent quality.Edit:Will recommend once more with the addition of some more pictures- vegan watermelon and feta salad and chicken with grains.

Food is usually really good, with good service, but last time I went, the customer service was really poor. I had to order the same thing over and over again and the pancakes that I received seemed like they had eggshell in them.

Went today and nearly nothing on the menu, very disappointing.Lovely breakfast, very pricey, but very well cooked. Staff are really friendly.My wife went the night before for a girls nigh out to celebrate a birthday, bills gave the birthday GIRLS presents and everyone free cocktails!

Really enjoyed a sunny summer evening on the outside tables. Staff were really friendly, helpful and attentive, and the food and drink was great. Really nice setting for a relaxing after-work dining experience.

Great service. Had the large breakfast. Beans cold. Fried potatoes cold. Tomatoes cold. Then to top it all a 12 %. Service charge added to bill. Wont be going back again.

Great food and service. Great choice of meals for vegans too. Made use of the 3courses for £17.50, which was great value and did not disappoint.

We had two stacks pancakes with fruit which were good, and a Eggs Royale which tasted great but this came at best warm which was disappointing.I will however return at some point and give them another try.

We really enjoyed our visit. The atmosphere and venue were relaxed; staff was super friendly and attentive. We (three of ushad mains and deserts and every single dish delivered! Qood quality food 👌 very good selection of dishes for coeliacs and food tastes really good. Recommend and will be back!

Mediocre at best, the seafood dish was inedible and the vegan burger was bland. Standards and food quality have drop but prices go up. Wont be wasting my money there again.

Always love a good Bill’s & Welwyn Garden’s branch does not disappoint. Dinner for 4; we all had scrumptious burgers with sides of fresh crunchy coleslaw, sweet potato fries, padrón peppers & regular fries. We also had GF halloumi sticks as a starter & dumplings (apparently they’re delish too). Friendly waitresses who were patient & saw the funny side of 3 of us changing our minds twice whilst choosing. A dependably good restaurant.

Food and service good. One complaint is the tips for service dont go to servers it, goes to management which they are told to lie about. So I have to take service charge off bill and pay tip in cash separately so they receive their tip! Not on Bills 😡

Meet up with our friends for a coffee ☕, very polite and friendly service from our waitress. The coffee was very nice although the cups were on the small side. Apart from that its somewhere I shall be going to use again soon.

Bills used to have a rustic homey feel to all their dishes. Seems all a bit commercialised and all their specials used to be written on a chalkboard. They did amazing cool desserts... Disappointed with the recent visit, and why have an all day menu that ends at 5pm?

Good food, good ambience, staff are polite and friendly.

The food was nice tasting, if a little bit over done, poached eggs only slightly runny, burger was asked for medium and was well done. The service is also a little slow, the floor was at about 50% capacity and took around 90 mins for 2 courses, so OK if youre happy to sit for a while but no good for an hour lunch kind of thing. Staff are friendly though, taste was good, nice portion size, starters were amazing, just felt service could have been quicker and we were unable to flag someone for a second round of drinks so 3 out of 5 seems fair. Would give it another chance for the breakfast menu on a day off when I have time to sit about.

Waited for 15 minutes in the seat to be served.Asked for medium rare burger and steak. Both of them were made well-done.The quality of the food does not deserve the price nor the 12.5% optional service charge.

Went today at luch and we had the vegan christmas party menu. Cant complement enough❤️❤️ It was hands down the best christmas food i ever had!Also our host, Emma. Give that girl a raise, she fully deserves it! She was really amazing and helpful, also really nice!Overall, great place, with nice people, good food and great vibes

Bills Brunch, generally very nice, toast and bacon a bit cold, service excellent

Went in on a Friday between after lunchtime and dinner, fast friendly service, lovely music and not too crowded but started to pick up as I was leaving around 5ish. Food great and fast. I had the Chrispy chicken and sesame dumplings which was absolutely delicious. The Bills fish finger sandwich i opted for a roll instead of bread -tasted good. I had the short cocktail(Dark and stormy, rocksCocktail was okay it had a little kick to it but nothing too much to write home about and I wasnt impressed with the plain short glass this was served in.

Nice enough restaurant - fairly informal feel - nice ambience, with booths giving you a bit of privacy. Food is a mix of tacos, burgers, steaks, salads (tuna salad pictured), etc. Service was fine, but they didnt seem to understand what shandy was, and they had no wine suitable for a vegan. Otherwise good.

My first time here & I must say Im very impressed. The sea bass dish was lovely & I really enjoyed the house white with it.

Usually so good! Lovely waitress. But today shocking bacon in our burger meal, charged £3.75 for an opened bottle of still water, and a rather blasé "Its not my fault" from the manager we spoke to. Rule 1 of management - its never personal - you represent the service experienced.

We had a family get together, 18 of us.The staff did the company proud! They accomodated our needs open arms. We brought own own desert, a home made birthday cake for triplets. Spent almost 3 hours here on a Saturday and no hastling to turn over the table for other guests. However, one extremely minor issue. No lime cordial. Always room for improvement.

I had really nice warm lunch. A really quiet environment. Positive vibe from staff, and soothing background music. Excellent customer received. Recommend 100%

My favourite place to have ‘breakfast’ food and eggs. It’s often busy, but the staff work hard to get you sat down quickly and are attentive.

Hit the spot it did old Bills. Lol.Excellent food, good variety, very tasty and very good service.At first we waited for the manager to take out order due to my date having a special dietary requirement. The manager never came but we were still able to place our order quite quickly. Food came not long after. The pancakes I had were a good size, not to fluffy and had a fantastic taste.My english breakfast was well presented, fresh and also very tasty. Would recommend Bills to anyone who is nearby

This place is always busy on a Sunday. Our visit was a pleasant one with there being seating almost immediately. There were some empty tables which we wanted to sit on but they happen to be reserved. The staff were very accommodating and they were also very friendly. The food here used to be the best in town, but it appears to have lost some of its class and now is just as good as the others in the square. The decor is clean and nice, and the tables add a nice homely feel to the restaurant as a whole. As for value for money, I wouldn’t say this ticks all the boxes. The food is near enough average and the prices they charged are not exactly in proportion. I would definitely come back, but this would not be my regular spot for any meal. Overall it’s a nice place if your looking to go out for a meal!

Bills in our household generally means Sunday morning breakfast! I personally love the stack of pancakes with bacon and maple syrup 👍🏼. The staff are always friendly and happy to help, as we have a dog the ability to sit outside with the outdoor heaters is fantastic. Inside the decor is nice and provides a comfortable environment to share a meal with friends, colleagues or family, the facilities are kept clean and tidy.

The sun was out and the there was a table by the window., it would have been rude not too.We popped in to satisfy a craving for meat. Two well cooked burgers and some drink later and we left very happy.Great friendly service and seriously tasty food with a great view too.Its probably worth booking if your opting for a busy time of day or you have a specific table in mind as this seems to be a popular spot.

I.LOVE.THIS.PLACE!! I went for the first time last week and was so so pleased with the service and food. As soon as I walked in with my 16 month old daughter they were so accommodating, making sure I had a table with room to park up the buggy. The food arrived really quickly, and there was a kids option. They gave me a plastic cup with a straw so she could have some water with me. It was very reasonably priced and the food was fantastic. Staff were very friendly and helpful I cannot fault this place in any way. Ill definitely be going back and would recommend anyone in the area to give it a try
