Contemporary European chain dishing up separate breakfast, afternoon tea, lunch and dinner menus.
Great service, great food last Saturday, especially considering the restarant, unexpectedly to us closed down just a few days later, well done to all considering you knew you were closing! Your be missed
Amazing breakfast, one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had (garden plate).
Popped in here for lunch and a cheeky drink and very impressed with great food and fantastic service - 2 meals drinks and dessert for £65 so good value too 👌
This place doesnt deserve the Bills name. Forgot our starter., told an hour and thirteen minutes for the mains. Tired to charger us for the starter! Question if I will ever go back to a Bills if Im honest
Went for dinner. Myself and partner very happy with the food and service. Staff very friendly as well.
Had the coconut, spinach and lentil soup, it was delicious. The team were amazing, I wasnt there for long, but nothing felt rushed, happily return and recommend.
A bit disappointed that there wasnt additional syrup for my pancake stack. The amount on the plate wasnt enough for a five stack. The staff didnt seem to have much enthusiasm nor made their presence easy to rouse to ask for more coffee or syrup. Otherwise, the food was good.
1)Poor quality service..I asked table for 4 when the restaurant was empty and they tald me that they didnt had available table for the next 45minutes. I stand out of the restaurant and book for the page reservation a table for 4 after 5 minutes.2Poor quality food. Food was dry, overcooked, tasteless, small portions. Very poor quality.3Very expensive for this quality of food. McDonalds is far better.
Me and my fiancé had a lovely Lunch here, we had the pancakes which were delicious with bottomless Prosecco!!! Amber served us and she was great, she welcomed us as soon as we walked in and made sure our glasses where never empty. I definitely recommend coming here for lunch.
Lovely gin and tonics! And great burgers! The servers are so friendly and accommodating.
I had a nice dinner with my husband at Bills in Watford and I was served of one the managers, Helen! I was impressed. The service was excellent, the food came on time and she recommended a really nice wine which I enjoyed!!!! Definitely we will come back! I really liked the atmosphere
I came here for breakfast with 2 friends, and were served by the manager Kasia. She was very warm, welcoming, and attentive. The food arrived on time, and was delicious. The general atmosphere of the restaurant was lovely & I would highly recommend.
The first vegan restaurant I tried in Watford, we loved the food, the staffs were absolutely helpful. Lovely experience. The bill came up to 40 Pounds for 2 of us, but the actual bill they gave us showed 45 pounds. When asked they said its services tax and my husband asked if it needs to be paid they said no... We paid 40 Pounds, as it is this bill was too expensive for the food we had ordered.
Came here for my birthday with my husband and kids which got to eat for free!!! our waitress Olivia explained to us the different menus which had QR codes to give us more information about the menu which was really helpful as my husband has a peanut allergy, everyone made my birthday extremely special when singing happy birthday as brining our desserts out, will definitely be coming back soon.
Poor quality food. Poor quality service. 4 people at 5pm on a Wednesday. We had to ask for service to take our main food order, desserts and for 3 rounds of drinks. They were not busy. They did not even ask for our drinks order when we arrived. Food was dry, overcooked, tasteless, small portions and Luke warm. Very poor. Staff spent most of the time chatting at the rear till.
Went to Bills for the first time and I loved the breakfast. we had a great waiter also, so the whole experience was amazing .
Wed seen a recommendation for Bills in London when looking for places to eat while on holiday and were happy to find out its a chain with a few restaurants including one near where we were staying. We turned up without a reservation and needed space for six. They seated us without an issue and were really clear on potential timing for food which wee were happy with. Most of us had the vegan breakfast, which was awesome. The only improvement would have been some butter for the toast. We also asked for a slightly customised version of a couple of dishes and they were very accommodating. The juices were awesome too.Lots of variety all round.Service was fast, polite and we were happy with the overall experience. Will be back again for sure.
Appalling service at this place on friday evening 12th August 22. Waited an hour and a half for our meal and it still didnt turn up. We left without eating. The manager didnt really seem that bothered that they ruined our evening and that our kids hadnt eaten. All the guests in the restaurant were fuming, and ridiculously they still kept letting people in at the door even though the kitchen clearly wasnt coping. WILL NOT BE GOING BACK. If I could give it zero stars I would.
I often come here for brekkie with my bestie and we love it here! The food is fresh and the waiting staff are very accommodating even if you wish to change something on the plate. Would recommend this for both breakfast and dinner 👌🏻 picture is of a dinner I had here and it was so good!
Finally seated us as we were waiting quite some time, even though the place was nearly empty. Gave us a menu, after 20 mins of waiting for someone to take our order we walked out.
Really good food & serviceJust a little quietWas a Monday though
Was great for a quick bite to eat whilst out shopping in The Harlequin Centre. Lunchtime was busy and drinks order taken fairly quickly, but waited quite a while before food order taken... but it was busy. Staff were polite, but felt very factory like, perhaps lunchtime volume does not allow much time for anything other than a perfunctory service. The fruit smoothies were lovely, but quite pricey for a thimble full.. though the tropical was gorgeous. The brunch sandwich, conversely was larger than expected and was very nice and extremely filling.. (no dinner required at a whopping 1464 calories. Hubby had the Bills Classic burger and they never fail to deliver. Bills burgers are lush! Served with rosemary salted fries give a nice twist on a classic burger and chips!A treat for an afternoon shopping in Watford, cantvgo wrong! Sorry no pics, was too busy checking out all my spoils!! 🙂🛍🛍
Excellent Customer care and service, Im not vegan, but went for the vegan breakfast, absolutely lovely.Requested scrabbled eggs for which was done for me, food was excellentDrinks I had a coffee and latte, both excellent.Lovely interior inside, very clean and tidy with excellent staff.Highly recommend.
A nice relaxing brunch before heading off to the Harry Potter tour. I had a gluten free option of poached eggs with avocado and tomatoes on toast.
PERFECTLY COOKED SEAFOOD AND LAMB STEAK.This is a personal note to whoever cooked a lamb steak and a lobster and seafood pasta at roughly 6:15 on the 21st of May 2022.You did a fantastic job, seafood was cooked perfectly, fell apart in the mouth, the same of the lamb steak. Tasty full bodied sauce, and pasta cooked right! My only comment would be, please please add a small piece of bread so that you can mop up every little bit of that sauce.Service was cracking, George was very friendly and attentive, all round fantastic experience 10/10 would come again!
Slow service but the food was delicious and so was the cocktails. The only downside was we could never get the attention of the staff.. we waited ages for drinks and for someone to take our order. We was trying to order a bottle of prosecco but couldnt get there attention..
Beautiful restaurant, great food, nice interior, kidsfriendly staff... if we ever come to Watford again, we will eat at Bills again 👌🏻
We had a lovely Sunday brunch here and excellent service from our server. It was crowded for a Sunday. Great selection of gluten free including pancakes and bread for eggs Benedict. 4 stars as welcome at front of house always a bit of a disappointment.
Booked a table for 5 of us, started off well with good service, a waiter took our drinks and gave them to us. Then another waitress took our foodorder and food came in a good time, however we then got another waiter that brought our food out. However, we didn’t have anyone ask us if our food was ok so we couldn’t raise any concerns with the avacado dish. A few of us are allergic to nuts so to have several waiters serve us was concerning as preventing cross-contamination is essential. We then got our food and I was extremely disappointed with the avacado on toast. There was barely any avacado and the bread was covered with rocket which wasn’t specified on the menu. As well as this, the pancakes with bacon were dry and there wasn’t enough maple syrup to make it less dry. We got money off our final bill and the last waitress we had was really nice and helpful. Overall, I am disappointed with the food and service and feel very underwhelmed with our visit.
I cannot recommend this place enough, the atmosphere is magic, the food is sublime and the staff awesome! Ana-Maria and her colleague were beyond kind and paying attention to what we needed. We went 2 days in a row because we loved it that much! They have got the best plant-based burger I have ever eaten, so yes! You will fall in love too! Book your table now 😁
I go here often with my Mrs. We both really enjoy eating here. The food is good & made with good quality ingredients, we can tell. The service is excellent, the staff are professional, attentive & its very welcomin. The fish pie is delicious 10/10.Well done to the staff
Walked in looking for lunch, warm welcome from staff, cosy feel (nicer than STA Bills). Great menu, reasonably priced with a good selection of dishes. Ample portions, definitely one of the nicer restos on Watford High Street.I am sure we will visit again.
Great breakfast and coffee in a lovely relaxed environment. Very well done.
Great food great service we really enjoyed ourselves
Nice atmosphere. Good service. Felt looked after. The food was yummy😋😋😋.Will definitely go back and try other dishes.
6:30pm SaturdayHello,Me: "Table for 4 please.Waitress: Do you have a reservation?me : NoW: Sorry we are fully booked.me: but there are a lot of tables unoccupiedW: Sorry all tables have been reserved.Me: ok thanksWe walk out go on the website and were able to book a table straight away for 6:45 online and go back in!!The restaurant was pretty much empty the whole time we were there. In all an unmemorable experience. The decor seems bland but pleasant enough. The food was average at best. The chicken skewers were excellent but the classic burgers were underwhelming and very uninspiring. The patties were not well seasoned and the burgers were dry . We ordered a Pinot Noir but got a Pinot Grigio instead. We sent It back and got the correct drink but only half a glass..again had to speak to someone and were informed they served only 125 ml instead of the 175 ml. We did eventually get another glass of the correct measure. Staff were pleasant and courteous but seemed indifferent.Wont be going back there in a hurry!
Had an amazing lunch at Bills. The service was on point, really friendly staff!! Food was really delicious the dumplings was fantastic! Would definitely recommend and will be going back soon!!
Very good place for a quick lunch. Was surprised by the excellent food and service. Amazing desert too. Surely will return!
Lovely setting, great food and super service. Would have given 5 stars but they took the water jug away when we only had tiny water glasses.
One of the best in High Street.Cosy decoration in accordance with the experts. The food was very good, even the vegan option (ask again to the expert). It’s great to see it reopened, after some tables movement. We were thinking of the terrace, but today it was too sunny and hot, in Albion!Kind staff, specially those having worked in the Mecca of restoration (Spain, of course).
Nice spot. Lovely food, I had the cauliflower and roasted squash falafel salad which was great. Decent enough coffee; beans were a little dark for my taste. Friendly staff and warm, welcoming building. Reasonably priced too.
Exceptional choices on the menu.. rustic ambience.. lovely service staff and great desserts. This was our first time to Bills..and were definitely impressed! Would recommend the platters..absolutely delicious!
Really good dessert. Friendly staff. Its a chain so pretty much the same decor and food where ever you go.Love the macha drinks they have. Healthy good stuff to offset the unhealthy bad stuff.
Awesome building, awesome experience! The staff were polite, friendly, and quick! I only ordered a dessert and a drink, but it came promptly, and was beautifully presented! The dessert was a chocolate sphere with salted caramel ice cream inside, and a brownie. It was absolutely delicious! All the flavours and textures complimented eachother perfectly! On to the building, it was very clean and tidy, but also rustic and welcoming! The decor was beautiful, and also practical! The tables werent cramped, and the whole place had a nice atmosphere. My pictures dont do any of it justice, but i hope if youre considering going here that you do!
This is the place one must go if living in Watford. Last year I had a vegetarian breakfast with a friend, we both enjoyed so much the presentation, the quality and the friendly staff. It wasnt too expensive, around £15, which is ok for a Saturday and we ate outside while enjoying the sunshine. I highly recommend it, however please note you may need to reserve the seats as its usually very busy, specially on Saturdays.
One of the best places to go in Watford. Innovative kitchen with quality food and very nice atmosphere. Just delicious for the very reasonable price.
I visited Bill’s Watford restaurant on a nice sunny weekend in Watford with my then girlfriend and it was a really worthwhile experience. The staff were friendly such a beautiful ambience especially on a nice sunny day it felt so airy and nice. I need to go back there on a night though. I really enjoyed my meal and the service was prompt. Can’t wait to go back again.
Vintage and airy restaurant shrouded in a pleasant atmosphere. Aint anything bad to say about this place since as soon as you step in, you feel so comfy in such a cozy place that you feel at home. The service is friendly and obliging who dont hesitate to help you out or even change a drink if necessary. One of the cocktails we ordered tasted too strong, we suggested to add something to push the strength away and instead, they made a new one for free adding something different. It was thoughtful of them.As far as the food is concerned, the gourmet food they serve is amazing, however, we found the chicken of one of the salad a bit dry, no sauce at all. In addition to the flavor, Id like to focus on the price and amount of food since we all know gourmet food is expensive and usually served in small portions, however in our eyes we found a high price for this ordinary food which has got a dry chicken and boiled quinoa with some vegetables. The small amount on the plate left us hungry, despite the fact we spent a large sum of money.Nonetheless, I always recommend to have a go and write reviews.
Ive been here a few times and have enjoyed the food so 3 stars is possibly on the low side. The staff are always lovely and the menu is reasonable. Breakfast time is not usually busy. Im not a vegan but my wife is and the options are a little limited, otherwise I would have given this 4 stars. The eggs royale today was great. Coffee is always fine. The brioche with whipped maple butter was superb!
First point. Bills do not discriminate so if you are of colour dont worry. If they restaurant is busy (for coffeethen an alternative Is offered take it but dont call racism.Ok came to the restaurant on a November afternoon with my missus and kid. Fairly empty so had a pick of tables. Chap was very accommodating and got us a high chair with asking if we needed one. Area manager was in the building and came to talk. She was really nice.Drinks offered and food ordered without issue. Pork dumplings and holumi sticks were great. Burgers cooked well and tasty.Reasonably priced and not that expensive compared to other restaurants. The variety of different food offered is good. Thai curry, fish pie or burger. Something for everyone.Nice experience and would come back.
