Perfect place to have good food with a great service

This place is really unique. I love the food they serve and the atmosphere is like at home. Ill be ack for sure :)

Great host, Scottish with glasses. He was very helpful and cheerful. Food was great and the restaurant had a good atmosphere. The Eton Colada was lovely....thank you Richard👍

Quick service with a warm welcome , steak wasnt cooked to my request. Ketchup turned up for the last few chips but other than that a good meal.Service charge wasnt mentioned on bill payment to me on the next table.

Lovely brunch with nice staff. Good options and food was brought hot and tasty. We paid £50 for a starter, threw drinks, 3 mains which was good value for the portion sizes. Will be back again.

Awful. Order starters that were cold, flavourless and poorly prepared. Complained and the waiter was sorry (service was goodbut offered no discount. Left before we ordred mains. A very poor Bills experience.

We popped in for a drink after our holiday was cancelled. The staff were sooooo lovely chatted and looked after us. Giving us complimentary drinks because we were having such a bad day. We appreciated it so much and the human kindness made me cry xx

Embarrassing end, to an ‘Ok’ evening!I went yesterday evening with all my children to celebrate my daughter passing out the Army. We had a lovely and set up at a nice table.We ordered out food, which was pretty good. My sons order was wrong as it had avocado instead of bacon, but the lady serving offered to change but my son was too hungry to wait.We then we’re offered 1 more round of drinks, but she only offered 2 of us then walked away, so we asked another waitress.We ordered deserts and when the profiteroles came my husband jokingly said, “is this only for one as that’s £2 a profiterole”. To be fair 3 each isn’t many, but she just shot him a look of disgust and walked off.When the bill came it included £29 of tip….now to servie 1 lot of main meals, 1.5 rounds of drinks and carry over 3 deserts seems a lot! I was happy(ishto give £20. We all chipped in for the meal and happily paid the bill + £20 tip. With that the stroppy waitress from earlier came flying over to my table started shouting something and the waitress who served us had to pull her away!!!! I was so shocked I didn’t realise how bad it was until other tables around us asked if we were ok!On the way out I did ask our waitress if she too was okay she was also shouted at, before the stroppy waitress shot off up stairs. I have no idea what her problem was, we were not rude and paid our bill in full, with a tip!I like Bill’s but I’m never coming back. You couldn’t have ruined what had been an amazing day for my family. That waitress has an explosive attitude and embarrassed me and the other staff member.

Great choice of food drinks and deserts located in the centre of Newbury on market place.Service was friendly and efficient

Great restaurant and fabulous serivce. We ended up here for 2 dinners and 1 breakfast. Very large menu with delicious vegetarian and non vegetarian options. Difficult to find. We parked in the public lot in the back and walked around to the front street/square or through The Hatchet Inn.

Nice food but annoyingly charge an "optional" service charge of 10% I only had breakfast which meant two visits to my table, once to take my order and once to bring my food. I would prefer to tip at my own discretion.

I was a big fan of Billys. Still their food is good. The quality of service is declining consistently to a point that I cannot see this restaurant as one of the top quality ones anymore.It is a shame that they and falling from their previous standards.....

My friend and I sat at a table outside in the evening sun, looking over the market place, and had 3 starters to share (it was too early, for us, for dinner). Interesting flavours and textures and the waitress was friendly and accommodating. Will go back

Rather disappointed. The portions were smaller than the last time we went. The childrens were ridiculously small, two over cooked fish fingers and a few fries! It was my granddaughters birthday which I mentioned at booking. But no mention from anyone. So we shall not return, just not for us. I think good service is important and Im afraid it wasnt delivered this time in so many ways that I dont want to list them all.

Weve been very impressed with the decor of the Restaurant; the unusual adaption of everyday meals with their combinations of unusual but tasty & flavoursome combination of ingredients, which are decoratetively presented.

Service was slow, menu very select, if you didnt like chicken not alot on offer. Food was well cooked but you need to order extras if you want veg or salad with your meal.Clean and tidy. Young manager on duty was excellent, sorted our issues very quickly.

Went for the 1st time for a quick dinner/ catch up with a m8. Got what I ordered and the food was presented very well. Waitress was very polite and not over the top, just respectful and kind. We sat in ge back garden. Ive heard they do a good breakfast in which Ive yet to try. The indoor seating space is big enough for any group get together. Out door seating Id available, probably with good weather only. Mmmmmmm. Worth a vidit

I had the most amazing buttermilk pancake stack with fruit and syrup this morning and i will definitely come back soon, our waiter was so kind and funny and made the experience even better :)

The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and it wasnt too busy when we went on a Tuesday evening. I had the Bourbon burger which was delicious. We tried a couple of different spritzes which were both really good.The staff are very friendly and cant do enough for you.

Nice food in a great location in the heart of the town. Good service from staff.

Nice place, with a nice garden seating and lovely healthy selection of food to choose from. The icing is always the friendly staffs to make your dining memorable.

I took 12 to dinner at Bills in Newbury. The food was great and the staff were first class. They handled food allergies and requests with ease and made us all very welcome. Highly reccomended.

The service was amazing and we weee looked after by a such a polite and hospitable young lady. The breakfast was so beautiful put together which tasted so yummy.

I had the bourbon burger and fries and my wife had the chicken brunch. Both were excellent. Coupled with the good service I have no issue with 5 stars. We have been 3 times over the last 6 months ( once in Bracknelland to me its very noticeable how Bills have raised there game. Well done 👍

Really nice food and a really cool restaurant.Good prices, but I advise going for a late lunch or breakfast as this place gets busy at peak meal times - as does every Bills.We will definitely go back for more. Their Black and Gold burger is really good.A decent selection of cocktails too.Very friendly staff.If you can, go and visit!

Having been a few times before we never had a disappointing meal and service has always been good.However our last visit on Saturday for Lunch was disappointing, We asked two different people for tap water on two separate occasions and it never turned up.Despite having a booking we were also hastily sat at a table that wasnt ready with no cutlery or glasses. Not sure if we would be back soon.

Ive had poor experiences at other Bills restaurants but this one is SO nice. Staff are really friendly and welcoming. Its lovely inside and the menu and food is excellent, very fast service too. Had such a lovely evening, will be back!

We had a fantastic dinner at Bills - much down to our lovely waitress ‘Cherry’…Couldn’t praise anyone higher, the perfect balance of attentiveness and a wonderful sense of humour!And to finish off the food is fab! I had tuna nachos and my friend had the burger special (or magic burger’ as we called it!)Burger got a 10/10 and I couldn’t fault the tuna…Followed by two desserts and a cheery farewell from Cherry - what more could you want?!Thanks Bills - Cherry needs a bonus!!!

Love, love this place. My dad and I always go here for dinner whenever I come to visit him from overseas. The food is outstanding, the staff are very friendly and fantastic, the service is amazing! The ambiance is beautiful and very warming.

Friendly and courteous staff. Varied menus that cater for the majority of customers. Reasonable prices for excellent food. The picture is a sweet that is totally edible - even the "plant pot"!!

The service is always great here, the staff are so lovely. However, it does get really busy and theres been a couple of times where service is very slow because theyre just so swamped. The food is hit and miss but generally ok - I guess to be expected when theres so many options.All round, a pretty good place to go for brunch, lunch or dinner - just so long as you dont mind busy.

Bills do a pretty good breakfast. Will always come back here for breakfast/brunch. Friendly staff. Good feeling to the place. Food generally is on point. Rated.

Bills was fantastic. I had their special Korean burger which was fantastic. My partner had the vegan burger type thingy, which she said was fantastic. I had a bottle of Bills house beer, I thought it was fantastic. I believe it is produced locally which is obviously fantastic. The service was fantastic. Overall the the experience was....... Really, really great. We are planning to pop back at some point.

Seated immediately upon arrival and great customer service, orders taken quick. The food was all great everyone enjoyed their meals.

Went this evening for a belated birthday meal with my mum. The service and meal were excellent. The Bills Flowerpot dessert was truly amazing!

Buttermilk chicken burger was really nice. The Mojo marinated chicken skewers was served with wild rice but that wasnt to my taste. It is a nice atmosphere and friendly staff.Only negative was adding a 12.5% tip on the bill without asking

Loved having breakfast here.Taste of pancakes was delicious and I would recommend to have them. Place was having positive vibes and restaurant was quick to serve the order.

Typical Bills! Great styling place looks so inviting, loverly staff cant fault them especially in these trying times and then the place is let down by dreadful menu, sorry but £32 (£5 tip included for the stafffor two teas, cocktail sausages, 3 of the smallest bits of bacon I have ever seen (the pig cant of been fed6 like mushrooms a tomato and egg! We had to laugh it was quite comical

First time visiting and we were very impressed, the vegan selection is very impressive. The food was amazing and service was great. Thanks to Thiago and Juan for the extra attention and service. Will definitely return

Gluten free options , flexible on recipes when you order (added smoked ham to my scrambled eggs even though this is not an option on the menufresh and tasty food. Lovely staff. Would recommend anytime..also would recommend online booking...they are often very busy especially at weekends (makes sense who wouldnt want to go there?!)
