Contemporary European chain dishing up separate breakfast, afternoon tea, lunch and dinner menus.
Lovely staff, great service. Had a brilliant breakfast here. Highly recommend the green smoothie and fresh pancakes!
Almost old fashioned, boutique setting, perfect for chilled company dinner. Nice selection of craft beer and cocktails. Food is fine and portions are just about enough to feed an adult. Price wise its leaning towards the premium rates.
Probably more a 3.5 than a three. We were seated quite quickly, this Bills has lots of space and can accommodate children well. Drinks order was taken quickly. After a wait we had to ask for the menus so we could order food. Once ordered the food took time to arrive and the kids were getting a little restless.Food was ok this was probably a 4*.I have been here several times and food standard is always quite good however service has been hit and miss.
Cant fault the service, very professional and easy with kids. Good value child meal. Great food for what it is. Will definitely be back for brunch/quick lunch. Thanks guys
Wasnt really my type of cuisine as I was in search for more typical British. The decor in the restaurant was pretty industrial looking, but for someone who likes that style Id recommend it.
Popped in yesterday for some lunch with friends. Food was great and service was excellent. Staff handled a very busy shift very well and made sure that we were well looked after. Very impressive as I know they were short staffed. Would definitely visit again.
We were a group of 15+ with kids and had to order in advance. Everything went really smoothly and the staff were brilliant. Plenty of nearby parking and easy to get to.
Food and service was great but most disturbed by presence of a dog. This dog was with two customers at the table next to ours and at one stage was on the bench seat very near to us. I informed our waitress as i paid the bill she was embarrassed and apologised. Pity nice venue otherwise
The food and drink we had for lunch was fine. We were disappointed with menu choices. Young lady that served us had not got a clue as to what were ales as opposed to being larger, I couldnt tell from drinks menu about one I hadnt heard of before and she thought it was a dark ale but the bottle turned out to be a larger. Rather than her finding out she just brought back the opened bottle.
Pretty good food at reasonable prices. Some good healthy choices. Friendly service.
We are real fans of Bills restaurants. Always very good food and the friendliness of staff makes for an enjoyable experience. Highly recommend.
Always a great experience when visiting Bills. This was my first time visiting the Marlow Bills however, and it didnt disappoint! Went at a fairly quiet time, service and food was excellent, and food was very quick. The layout here was also better, as the other Bills I have visited felt very rammed/crowded with tables. Definently worth a visit.
Had my pre wedding meal here with family and friends..staff were very attentive and polite,to be honest they couldnt do enough for us..food was great, the atmosphere was brilliant, our children loved the outside space at the back of the restaurant..and we were given a bottle of bubbly as a pre wedding gift..would I visit again...in a heart beat..thanks Bills..👍👍
Quite simply the best breakfast ever. If, like me, a full English fills you with dread, try their garden breakfast. It was delicious
Lovely afternoon tea, service was excellent. Lemon meringue pie had too much meringue. Other than that very pleasant.
We booked a family meal for 24 people, which was amazing. All of the food was lovely, as were the staff, who were friendly, efficient, and extremely hard workingSpecial thanks to the manager, who helped arrange a great evening and also the two Waiting staff who were looking after us
Excellent choice of food varied and different. Great service love Bills usually try and visit one wherever we visit if possible. Sat outside as sunny but under a canopy. Pleasant helpful friendly staff who helped with our meal choices and werent disappointed. Also fruity refreshing drinks to tap water with ice provided without having to ask offered. Definitely recommend. Negative - my meal was brought and wasnt my choice but immediately rectified just a mistake and changed so quickly it wasnt a problem with apologies.
Great food, friendly staff and warm atmosphere. Would highly recommend.
Considering how lovely some of these reviews are I’m totally disappointed with our experience even more!We arrived at 7.30pm on a Tuesday night with my boyfriend and his mum and we got seated. It was fairly busy. Our waitress was Jason and we ordered drinks and a share starter. Both took around 30 minutes each. Fat too long for bread and a few olives with some cooked chicken...Our mains we’re dry and over cooked, like they’d been sat there for a while also. What amazed me also was we ordered drinks not long after getting our mains to which within minutes later the waitress left (end of shift I’m guessingand no one to be seen preparing our drinks behind the bar?The waiters could clearly see we weren’t happy (as they stood around the front till by the entrance chatting awayand instead of Jason coming back, they sent a young lad over. We clearly explained to him it wasn’t his fault but could you let the chefs know that we were disappointed with our food and not to bother with our drinks. He apologised and got us our bill.Very unfortunate experience considering the reviews on here. Maybe one day we’ll give it another go but unfortunately I’ll give it a miss for now.
Even though it was busy for Fathers Day the service was friendly and efficient. The food was very nice and good value for money. Our son who is vegan loved the food available to him. We will go back.
My partner has a nut allergy and the staff were extremely knowledgable and patient and cooperative. The food and value for money is 4 star but staff were a 5 star.
Superb evening. Food very good and the staff were so lovely. 3 out of the four had birthdays. We were treated to a free bottle of wine, candle on a cake each and a little present when we left. Fabulous. Never had that before!
Great food great service and over all great atmosphere
Great staff! we spent 5 hours out in the garden enjoying an overdue girly afternoon all to ourselves. Service was efficient food was good and prosecco even better! Thank you we will be returning x
It wasnt like the bills in Japan and their super delicious pancakes; but it wasnt bad. Fresh squeezed orange juice and hot chocolate with my berry pancakes. Cute little place where you could prob also sit and work if u had to.
Great food - super yummy. Lots of tasty healthy options. On the evening we went service was a little slow.
Dog friendly that made the ideal place to celebrate my birthday. Lemon Meringue desert was best ever.
This is Richards daughter reviewing. Nice food and friendly staff. The childrens menu was good but as I find with most restaurants it was quite small.YH aged 8
We have used Bills Marlow several times in late 2018 and always found the food to be of good, consistent quality and the service to be excellent; you can dine on 3 courses in just over an hour typically.I chose this restaurant for my birthday meal on a Monday and, whilst the food was of the same quality, the service was absolutely appalling. There were only 3 or 4 tables being serviced by 2 staff members, so it really shouldnt be difficult to provide a good service. Food orders were entirely forgotten about and served at separate times to others meals. It took 2 and a half hours for our meal, most of our time was spent trying to catch the attention of the staff, to the point where the usual signalling (a brief wave, catching their eyewasnt working and I had to stand up and shout "HELLO!" at a waiter 8 feet away to get his attention. Another example is that we had completed our main course and sat around for 30 minutes waiting for the staff to clear the table. I became so exasperated that I gathered the dirty plates and cutlery myself, stacked them up and took them to the kitchen myself, walking past the gossiping waiters.Needless to say, the included service charge was removed from the bill and we shall not be returning to this branch anytime soon. The service is inexcusable.
I am very disappointed tonight, went with a party of 5 and a smail toddler, the service was so bad even though there was only 2 other tables in. They forgot the babys food and when it came it looked over cooked and gloopy and she didnt eat it, we had to keep calling the waiter over as they forgot more items, eveything I have been before Christmas it was lovely, not the way we wanted to celebrate my husbands birthday. Very sad.
Currently doing Vegan Jan. They have the best vegan food I have tasted thus far. Just great. Also the staff were really excellent.
Easy going venue for our breakfasts and diner. Nice varied selection on the menu and a good wine selection.Service is as you would expect it.4 stars for a good combination of food, service, confort and price.
My first visit and it was excellent. Staff and food both really good. I recommend the orange and chocolate bread and butter pudding (out of this world ).
Visited here a couple of times for breakfast. A great setting, great decor and pleasant attentive staff. Good breakfast menu with plenty of choice. Coffee is great, but the food just doesn’t quite hit it.
Outstanding accommodating customer service - extremely honest, and let us know when we accidentally overpaid. Also sent a member of staff specially to buy the correct milk to accommodate allergies. Food and atmosphere was also a credit to the Bills brand.
Perfect restaurant. Decorated warehouse-style, with extensive use of reclaimed wood. Surprisingly big, with a little garden at the back. Very friendly wait staff. We had steak with pepper sauce (medium-well), grilled chicken, apple+carrot+ginger juice and english breakfast tea - for about £42. Bills is a chain, so will visit others.
Nice atmosphere and excellent service. went there for a family breakfast and had the Bills breakfast with side order of beans and black pudding. the only reason for dropping 1 stars was because the breakfast was a little small and they forgot the black pudding, when we reminded them they quickly went and fetched some but it was very over cooked and all but crumbled when you cut into it.
Nice food and brillant set menu for lunch but service let them down - quite slow and not overly friendly!
Nice food and atmosphere. A very happy and friendly manager too. If you are thinking about going here for sunday breakfast you would be wise to book a table in advance. It gets superbusy
Typical Bills, nice & cosy area. However, they had the worst desert i ever tried in my life. Two of us had to turn it back. It was a creme brulee with orange and...I think coconut? Please.dont try that one.
very middle of the road place. Food not great, staff not exceptional, waiting times a bit too high, and the food just looks and tastes generic frozen restaurant food thats reheated.
Great food. Even a different kind of veggie option for breakfast (as opposed to just eggs beans toast etc....although they are available!which was much appreciated! Staff were friendly. Place was lovely.
Have eaten there four times now over the past year, three times in the evening where the food was well presented and tasty. Attentive and pleasant staff who provided prompt, efficient service, we also had breakfast there on a Sunday morning. Again, good food and reasonable prices. On all occasions, the restaurant was full so booking in advance is a must as we noticed them turning people away - its particulary important if you want an early evening table. We now have it as a go to place again as its a convenient and reliably pleasant place to eat.
Greeted nicely and drinks followed quickley so off to a fab start but starter dish was wrong (olives instead of sausagesthought the waitress missheard so just let it go ... mains were awful mac and cheese my daughter wouldnt eat (her fav dishi thought she was playing up but after trying it i wouldnt make a dog eat that ...... steak was awful and most definatly not a 10oz with almost a 3rd of it being fat and gristle not impressed at all and desert we thought we might aswell surley you cant mess that up .... wrong . Sallest brownie microwaved into a solid brick the waitress took no notice of the complaints my children had made and laughed them off .... i am not one to complain so after paying almost £100 thinking to ourselfs macdonalds would have been more satisfying we left and we not return again .
I was there in August 2016, for colleagues get together for a dinner. I must say food was not good at all. It tasted more of frozen and re-heated. It was unfortunate, but also a rarity to find that sort of food in Marlow. Unless you have no other alternatives, I would simply avoid this restaurant!
The food was amazing. We did get given the wrong starter but the staff went above and beyond to rectify this. We both had the steak for the main and it was delicious. If we go back to Marlow, we would definitely dine here again!
Ive tried Bills several times they have some reasonable things on the menu. Eggs on the breakfast menu and Fish and chips on the main menus. All in all below average food in pleasant surroundings. Marlow has many lovely eateries. So if you want great food try somewhere else.
My experience in Bills was extremely pleasant due to several factors.Firstly, the atmosphere was electric. The decorations added a homely feel to the restaurant which enhanced the experience further. There wasnt much noise in the restaurant as the kitchens were far away from the area where we were seated.Secondly, the food. I chose to have a veggie platter along with my 2 other family members to share, a pink lemonade and a treacle tart for myself. The veggie platter was stocked with: olives, dips, cheese coated sticks and salad. These combined into an tasty snack starter however it is large and very filling. The pink lemonade was essentially lemonade with pink colouring but there was something about it that was that little bit more unique. This was a good companion to the veggie platter and the treacle tart. The treacle tart was almost a moist block of pure sugar with a treacle coating on top. It was the most satisfying dessert I have ever eaten in my entire life and despite looking rather small was actually one of the most filling desserts I have eaten with only one portion. Unfortunately I didnt get to finish it off due to being utterly stuffed.Thirdly, the service. The staff at Bills were friendly and approachable which made the experience even more effortless. The waitress who first served us made sure to check up on our table every now and again which was pleasant as she also made casual conversation which I personally appreciate.I would definitely return to Bills as soon as possible and would whole heartedly recommend it.
The food here is always good, with some excellent variety - and the inside has been done up very nicely. So good atmosphere, good food. The only complaint at the moment is how busy it gets (as is always the case with newer places in Marlow). Basically forget trying to get in here at the weekend without a reservation, unless you want to wait for an hour. But if you have a reservation its great.
Great breakfast, good value, chilled atmosphere, attentive staff! We couldnt have asked for more on our first visit to Bills. We will definitely be back. :-D
