Contemporary European chain dishing up separate breakfast, afternoon tea, lunch and dinner menus.
We had a nice food, staff was friendly and polite. Thanks to Andreas looking after us.
Samuel is the best waiter ever, we come frequently and he always remembers us and gives us the best service ever. The food is always good, and on time and we’ve never had a bad experience
Went here for breakfast service was good very polite food was very nice the only thing was the hot drinks were not very hot I had a tea from a pot and by the time I had two cups out of it the second one was a bit cold
Been there many times. Always lovely food. Excellent location great staff and always lovely smiling faces. Highly recommended it to all
Not great. Very poor value for money. The steak was lovely but tiny. Chips were small portions too and a few leaves on the side as decoration. Youd definitely need sides or starter or would be going home hungry. The service wasnt much better. After wed finished the main course, the plates were quickly cleared away but then nobody came anywhere near us. We sat there for half an hour watching the staff studiously ignoring us as they walked past. If I had the choice, I would have not paid the service charge (12%). I had to call out to get the bill even though I would have liked to get another drink and desert. Shame, as food was lovely.
Staff are amazing and eager to help - the food was unfortunately so-so.I ordered the Bills Brunch and everything was overdone - the bacon was extra crispy and tough - the black pudding was dry the beans were dry too in fact everything was dry - it felt like the food had been cooked earlier and reheated - even the toast was overdone and a little burnt. My daughters buttermilk chicken burger however was really good
I had lunch on Saturday with a friend. From the moment we arrived , the staff were very friendly and attentive. The restaurant was very busy , the staff worked so well as a team , it created a lovely atmosphere. Really nice food and an all round enjoyable experience. We will be back
I like a lot this restaurant! It is in a beautiful area and it is very cozy inside. The waiters are kind and helpful and the food is very, very good.
I used to love Bills Kingston. The third star is entirely for our excellent waiter who must have picked up we were ignored at the beginning of the evening by the front of house. We were told no less than three times that someone would be coming to seat us. Hmmmm. The food was average at best: best you step up your game, Bill’s - or you will be, erm, killed?!Also, sort out your front of house - do you wait out next to the river, or inside the door?Menus are hard to read, and the front of house - even harder to find!
Lovely restaurant with superb menu offerings paired with fantastic selection of wines. We would love to see the views in high Summer and will definitely be back to explore Kingston on Thames. The service staff are well trained and professional. The dining areas are decorated with an eclectic flair.
Lentil soup with tourmeric and coconut was terrible. Overwhelmed with Turmeric, butter. Definite no. Calamari were not too badd but the larger portion was so small not sure what the small one be. Service is good ambiance good but what I have tasted was not worth it.
Came in for a meal with family. Love the area this restaurant is in; right on the water with a lit up outdoor area (with blankets and heatersand a cosy indoor dining area. The staff were very polite and accommodating, and the food was delish!Only real comment of improvement would be to sell more common lagers/beers as there really wasn’t much available for those who like to have a pint with dinner. Aside from this, a lovely evening with great food!
This is a new favourite restaurant for me, there are plenty of vegetarian options and the staff are absolutely lovely and go above and beyond for the customers. We were waited on by Sylvia and Viki who were both very helpful and sweet natured.
Enjoyed an amazing breakfast here before we headed out for a walk to the palace. Kids ordered pancakes and were stuffed! We all had great meals and were very full - we didn’t stop for lunch as we were all content! The staff were super friendly and the meals came very quick! Coming form Canada we are getting used to the smaller cups of coffee they serve - just have to stop more often ;0)Place was clean and worth the visit!
Nice establishment and friendly staff however served up pancakes that were stale and solid. After we complained they deducted the pancakes from the bill but they should never have served obviously stale pancakes in the first place.
Wow, absolutely fantastic. Staff were first class, smile with a service .Food was cooked to perfection so well done to the chefs.Been looking for a long time for a decent restaurant, and now Ive found one, will definitely be back on a regular basis.😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
Food was excellent atmosphere was very good staff were always on hand. Would definitely eat here again and again.
Excellent lunch, but more importantly run by an extremely professional, polite and friendly Manager. To enhance our restaurant experience, she surprised my daughter with a birthday cake. A great touch!Thank you Bills.
Neli and her team were simply amazing! I booked a large group of 14 adults and 5 children under 2. The team were so accommodating. I requested high chairs and extra space for prams and they went above and beyond. Food was delicious and everything came out together so credit to the chefs! I cannot recommend this place enough and the wonderful team who were so friendly and helpful throughout. We will definitely be visiting again!
I’ve loved coming here for years, but that’s other night went up and above! The food is amazing and the service omg! My dad (they/dadcame with nails (nails I wish my own nail tech could dothey are often felt to feel embarrassed about it. Not here! The waitress complemented his nails and it made his day! Best meal and we will come back every time!! Thank you bill’s Kingston
Breakfast tasted like disappointment, coffee was over roasted very unpleasant like mud water. The breakfast is not made to order but rather batch made and kept under hotv plates. The best bit was the staff and location but this place is going on the never go back list.
I was going to give 1 star but they gained a star by not charging me for the food.Went for brunch with a friend and the service and pancakes were awful. They have different options of pancakes from breakfast and brunch for some reason (its like they think because its brunch youre combining breakfast and lunch and need more food? It doesnt work like that so please reconsider the menu). When I ordered I tried to ask for less pancakes but the waiter (who looked like a managerdidnt seem to understand what I was asking. I didnt mind paying the normal amount but simply wanted less as I knew it was an option for breakfast. Instead of reducing the pancake amount he changed the bacon to fruit. So I ended up with a really sad amount of fruit on the top of 5 pancakes.Eventhough they were drenched in syrup, they tasted awful and really dry.I had one pancake and the fruit and left the rest. I probably sat there with the uneaten dish for at least half an hour until my friend finished her food, when someone came to collect our plates (also looked like another managershe asked how the food was. I responded that I was disappointed as they were really dry, she said she was sorry and shed let the chef know, and would we like any desert. Clearly not as I didnt have a main. That was the last time someone came over until we asked for the bill at least an hour later. They did take the pancakes off the bill but I wish they told me they were going to do that as I wouldve felt better about ordering something else.On a side note, I would have thought bills restaurants are legally obligated to put calories on the menu? They didnt have them in this case.
Vey good service the area is lovely. The food was nice. The black gold burger seemed to be a good option but there was only a few flakes of gold I guess to keep it cheap. But it was cet nice would come again.
Ordered bottomless pancakes with my friend for brunch, we had 2 pancakes each on a plate with berries and cream. Before even being asked if we wanted anymore our plates were taken and asked if we wanted the bill - we had only sipped our bottle of wine so were no where near ready to go! Once we did want the bill we could literally find noone around to ask. Okay service, okay food.
We were served super quickly by multiple waiters, all of whom were lovely and very friendly. The location is great right by the river, and the food came really fast from when we ordered it. Everything tasted great (gluten free meatballs, and halloumi shawarma), we loved it.
Just had lunch at Bill’s. Big signs everywhere that Kids eat free Monday to Friday…. But be careful, read the fine print (very hard to findthis is only when you order a main meal from the adult’s menu. We ordered a selection of starters to share for the adults on our table… and got a not so lovely surprise of a bill charged with the kids meals ordered 😮💨
We ordered a pair of Lemon Drizzle G & Ts -- they definitely forgot to put the gin in. Trust me. Were too English to complain in person, so I get back home and write this here 2-star review. But staff were very friendly, food was pretty good, when the kitchen remembers (we had to start again on the desert order)
Really great food and excellent service here. Their black pudding is really good and Im American!
We went for breakfast late morning l, could call it brunch I suppose!I’m not a vegetarian but ordered the Garden Plate. Super tasty! I recommend it. Didn’t walk away feeling bad for stuffing myself! Also, had a cold pressed super green juice. Also very tasty.Service was great as always with very friendly staff. It was busy for Monday morning but we still got our food quickly.
Great location, nice friendly staff, lovely food especially breakfast. Its become a favourite for Saturday or Sunday morning Breakfast now. Always has space, never not been able to get seated although often book in advance anyway.
Tried to book a table online, it kept informing me that my email address wasnt valid - the very same email address which I have used for five years (as well as for my employment). We also tried my wifes email address, with the same outcome. We then tried to search for the contact number online, in an attempt to make a booking over the phone. After several online search attempts, we finally found the number, called it, but the phone wasnt being answered. Understandably, we finally gave up and successfully booked another restaurant. This is a pretty shocking level of service, especially for a restaurant chain trying to survive in such a tough economic climate!
Nice Bill’s right on the riverbank. Plenty of outside seating which is nice in summer. Very nice and friendly staff, prices are a little high but the food is good. Nice selection on offer and food is cooked very well. The cinnamon donuts are out of this world by the way!
Staff were amazing, the lady on the door in particular. I forgot to book but she fitted our table of 5 in anyway despite being understaffed. We didnt notice any delays with service. Food was tasty and reasonably priced, accompanied by delicious smoothies and juices. Thanks for a lovely experience.
Lovely spot on the river for Summer evening. Food and service was good. Blue Light Card 20% off too!
Absolutely outstanding service alongside good quality, tasty food. The set menu is such good value, and when you combine that with their beautiful outdoor seating area, you get a dining experience like no other! Would highly recommend and were already looking forward to our next visit.
A great place for brunch. We had a 45 minute wait, but were warned beforehand. Stunning views of the river, great service and gorgeous food
Nice place along with the river thames. They offer pretty good food. I tried meatballs with burata cheese which I pick as the best. Lamb was good too.
Absolutely brilliant!Me and my friends came in to enjoy a nice meal by the river and we could not been more happier! The service was excellent from start to finish, the food was delicious and came in fast. Our waiter Charlie was mainly by himself on the floor but did an espetacular service even when interacting with the little ones at the table.Location is beautiful, food was gorgeous and I can praise the service enough: 12/10 definitely recommend!
Amazing view, super friendly staff, great taste. The only downside is the portion of main dishes, it could have been more for meat meals. Evening view would equally be more attractive. Would definitely recommend it. For veggie lovers go for halloumi shawarma.
Lovely restaurant with beautiful view of the riverside, great for sitting outside and enjoying a cocktail or two. Upmarket decor with attentive and friendly staff, I was well looked after. Highly recommend this place for great view, excellent customer service and creative menu.
Weve been there for celebrating the 5th Birthday of a little princess. All staff were extremely polite and helpful. They bright a cake with a candle and sing BDs song. It was touching. Many thanks for the service, great food and good memories from diner. Also they have a great location with nice view for the river.Highly recommended.
Visited Bills Kingston for my birthday and had the traditional breakfast which was very delicious, you could taste the quality of the produce. Service was great, although we did have trouble grabbing the attention of a staff member when we needed something but it was quite busy when we visited. Would definitely recommend visiting but would advise booking in advance to ensure availability.
The place is great, amazing view, good food and nice atmosphere. Cool spot to work as well. This is one of restaurants where I enjoy food and coffee in Kingston upon Thames.
The Bill’s restaurant is situated at 10 minutes walk from the Kingston station. The staff is very friendly, the service is quick and efficient and restaurant got enough indoor/outdoor tables. The food arrived in a reasonable time frame, absolutely amazing the crispy calamari, super tasty and fresh, absolutely recommend as per the vegan hamburger.Honest price. The only downside? The super tiny table for two, such an important matter.
A really good Bill’s. Had a delicious chicken burger for lunch here with some wonderfully indulgent truffle & cheese fries. Service was attentive and friendly, and the food was served quickly despite us being late for our booking. Dining room is pretty nice too. Good value for money
4 of us went for a birthday. Not a huge selection but everything was really nice. They had some good deals on 2 or 3 courses or a couple of free drinks with a main course that made it good value . We sat outside and had a great view of the river. Not haute cuisine but a nice family meal .
Lovely little spot, with attentive competent staff. They are all very lovely and aim to please. We stopped here by chance for a lunch stop and were not disappointed. At the point where we were dissatisfied, this issue was quickly resolved! And I loved that.Cocktails were classy and well made and we could not Fault the wine selection. The decor is chic swede velvet leather & warm lights. Quaint rustic art and accents all around, just love it!Their outdoor dining area is well placed covered and heated, but today we fancied and indoor seating
I dined here at the beginning of August during the Eat Out to Help Out scheme. While I had booked a table online I thankfully arrived early as there was about a 20 minute queue to ask about my table.Whilst there were temperature checks outside and hand sanitiser at each table, the waiting staff did not wear any PPE and there was little social distancing within the restaurant. We were sat right behind another family with no screens between. Thankfully halfway through our meal, another table had left so I asked to move to a more socially distant table. I didnt feel very safe eating here.We ordered the 2 course set menu and a main dish but were told there was no sirloin steak left when we got there which was a shame as we wanted to go and try the steak especially on the half price deal. The calamari was pretty standard. However, we waited for over 30 minutes for our mains to arrive, so I felt like we had been forgotten as everyone else around us had received their mains and the wait staff were very busy so couldnt see us when we tried to get their attention. We ordered the slow cooked beef rib and grilled chicken so these items shouldnt really take long, we were very hungry by the time these arrived. The food was mediocre and everything seemed like it was precooked and overcooked at the same time. The chips were ok though. As I dined during Eat Out to Help Out scheme, I understand that the restaurant would have been extremely busy and during Covid-19 restaurants would need to increase the cost, however even with the half price deal I dont think I would be dining here again. I feel like they have tried to disguise their increased cost by making the set menu more appealing rather than ordering a very expensive main dishes during the half price scheme but its not really worth it if they say they have run out of steak by 8.30PM.
Our department had a lovely Christmas dinner here last night! The food was served promptly and were cooked nicely. Special shout out to our server, Tom, who was very accommodating and was terrific at providing customer service. We’re grateful that Bill’s even let us do our song number (12 days of OT Christmas). Thanks for having us last night! 😊
We came here for brunch and were really hungry. It was busy but they found us a table at the back. Service was attentive and quick and we didnt have to wait long for the food. I really enjoyed the dishes, the tastes and preparation was lovely. This is a great place for a bite or something a bit more.
