Contemporary European chain dishing up separate breakfast, afternoon tea, lunch and dinner menus.
Had a great experience at Bills for brunch. Food was absolutely amazing - tasted amazing & good sized portion! We were served by Nik who was just absolutely fabulous - really friendly & helpful. She really added to our great experience! Cant wait to go back!
Ive been to Bills many times for dinner and its great in terms of the food and atmosphere but the service provided always seems like it needs improving. The waiters always seem unmotivated/ maybe overworked. For my last visit I had brunch and in all honesty the pancakes arent great they have a slight grainny / gritty texture. I highly recommend you get something else on the menu if you are to go to brunch here. The waiter wasnt very pleasant either he was quite rude. The place is always very cute though and the price is very affordable.
Went in for breakfast and the food was lovely. Great quality and good variety of meals. Love their dinner menu also. Great place to go for affordable food in exeter.
What a great place to enjoy an evening meal with friends. It be honest the outside does not do it justice. Beautiful inside and fab decor. The meal was excellent and lots of different dishes to try something new. Would definitely recommend and look forward to eating there again.
Food very good couldnt fault it, and a very nice lady who served us through out..will be back for sure 👍
Celebrated our wedding anniversary here .Had a lovely very tasty lunch ,staff were excellent. They even gave us a discount when they knew it was our Anniversary. All in all a great place to go .
1st visit & was so impressed. Staff are attentive & friendly. Food was scrummy, had scrambled eggs. Will definitely be back soon. Thank you 🙏
I love the atmosphere of Bills, so popped in for a cream tea, which was delicious thank you.
Friendly, efficient, polite and considerate especially as we had our Cocker Spaniel with us and they looked after himself well. So happy they were Dog Friendly.
Love this place, havent been for way to long! The menu is great, catering easily for one of us on a Keto diet and another on a Weight watchers diet, so bonus! Ate out, had fun and able to stick to the diet! No guilty conscience there!😁
Lovely place to have our first official meal out as a married couple, we were so excited, Kledina and Nik were so helpful and patient as they listened to us recount our wedding day stories and made us feel very welcome! The breakfast was delicious, I wanted to have the eggs Benedict to keep it light but torn between Bills Big Brunch, so we had both and shared them! Cant remember the last time I had prosecco for breakfast either. Thanks to Nik, Kledina and Eric for your great service and honeymoon recommendations as we embark on our #HoneyRoadMoonTrip #Day1 #AlanandWendy
We enjoy a meal here, and have never had a bad one!We regularly make use of the set menu which tends to be good value!Staff are always helpful, prompt and provide a good service!I tried bills ginger beer today- refreshing and good to know it’s free from colours and preservatives.
Dropped in early just for a coffee. Friendly staff. Lots of space. Breakfast menu, lunch and evening meals . Spacious and comfortable. Just off Exeter High Street.
SCAM PLACE!!!!! AVOID!!!!!Ordered two bottomless brunch that is priced at 16.50. What we weren’t told is that the “bottomless brunch” is actually the price for bottomless prosecco that is added ON TOP of your main course. So £16.50+ the price of whatever mains you are having. The wording of the menu is CONFUSING and feels like a TRAP. Confronted the manager and all she said was there’s nothing she could do about it. Service is also extremely slow and we only had 2 glasses of prosecco each. It would have been cheaper to order the drinks separately.Overall TERRIBLE experience and will never return again.I shall stick to Cote Brasserie where the service and food never disappoints.
Right in the heart of Exeter Town. Great atmosphere and good food
I had the set menu 2 dishes for £14.95. The fried chicken dumplings (I guess that was the namewas so delicious, the Bill’s burger was average. The service was astonishing
Went there last night with the husband. Friendly staff, the food was amazing! Simply amazing. What a cute little place. First time we went and certainly won’t be the last time ! Thanks guys !
Called in without a reservation with 2 colleagues. The waiter immediately found us a table and drinks were ordered. The food was prompt in arrival and well prepared. The waiter was attentive and overall the service was excellent. Would recommend this restaurant.
Went for dinner here with 8 of my friends, food was amazing. Not being able to eat gluten, the gluten free menu was really good. I have the burger with cheese and bacon. £1.50 per item was a bit too much in my opinion. But was really good over all.
Great food, good prices and lovely staff. Beautiful decor too
Our Ladies Lunch Group enjoyed a first class lunch at Bills on 16th August. It was really busy yet the Staff treated us all superbly, everything was first class, the food, the service the venue and the atmosphere. We are all looking forward to our next lunch there.
Bills is fantastic in Exeter. The staff are fantastic to you and always ensure you are having a lovely time. Polite staff, buzzing environment and very generous on your birthday. The changing menu is always exciting and everyone can eat here.
It was the First time we have been here it was a busy Friday evening. Nothing was to much trouble the food was very good the drinks were good very friendly staff and the price was really good. Next time in Exeter will definitely eat here.
Really lovely atmosphere, and we were made very welcome, the food was fabulous as were the drinks.Lobster and prawn linguineEton ColadaAperol vodka summer spritzAll lush
Haven’t been here for many years, but came here for a meal for my birthday. Service was very quick and friendly, food was fantastic as well. The atmosphere and decor is really nice and we definitely plan on coming back at some point!
Really friendly staff. The pancakes were okay.
Top class service by Phil and Maria. We were a party of 9 plus a dog and our dog was taken care of well. Swift service with the hot drinks and the cream teas were splendid. We as Londoners felt like we really were encapsulated by the spirit of Devon by virtue of the great hospitality and refreshments. Would 100% recommend.
Very nice place, eggs benedict number one, pankakes so so.
Food was yum, but did take over an hour to arrive. To give credit to the staff, we were told thered be a delay, but that was after an hour of waiting. My party had a good night, but the long delay was disappointing.
One of the worst and most stress inducing restaurant experiences I have had in a while. Firstly, after having booked for 9pm (after changing my booking a few times due to logistics with our visit), I am called by what appears to be the manager to let me know that we are welcome to arrive earlier and so I request 8:15pm, to which she replies that it is confirmed - only for me to get a text that it has moved to 8:45pm. I then change it to 8:15pm myself and after leaving at least an hour’s notice to prepare the table, we arrive and there is nowhere to sit. This is especially inconvenient given that I have noted we were celebrating a birthday and my graduation in the booking notes. After awkwardly being made to wait, the manager tries their best to accommodate us in a cramped corner at a table for 2 (for the 3 of us). She also offers a small concession of knocking a tenner off the bill for drinks. We order and despite being more than willing to pay for dishes not on special offer, the waitress recommends we pick those cheaper starters. Not sure if she was being helpful or implying something else. The table is also only set for 2 and I had to ask for an extra glass and set of cutlery after about 15 minutes, so already not great. The starters arrive with no issues there and the mains were pretty average. Although the drinks were not made properly, I could let that slide, until the same waitress rudely turns to me after I request the bill to ask me where myself and my party are from??? This struck us as racist and incredibly rude, since it is none of her business and how dare she ask customers such unsolicited questions. As if I was not fed up already by this circus, her ignorant comment prompted more questions about us, coupled with the implication that we were somehow foreign - despite the fact she herself is an immigrant and I was born and bred in the UK. As if that was not bad enough, she notes that we must not be local, as if we were mere peasants (which is half true, because London is home, where I enjoy spending ££££ at some of the city’s most expensive dining experiences). After this experience, even though Bill’s was my favourite place to come as a student, it has clearly regressed. I would advise people to take their business down the road to the Ivy where they know how to give decent customer service, good food and non-discriminatory treatment to the people that pay their wages.
The food was excellent service very friendly would go again
Nice place to eat in city centre, good vib, nice staff and great food at a reasonable price for the location.
Lovey staff, delicious food, beautiful ambience
7 of use ate a Biills Saturday night and had a great time, and everyone enjoyed their food and the service was excellent, and Bradley our waiter was very accommodating and friendly. Food came in good time.I understand Bills is closing some unprofitable restaurants and I hope this wont affect the Exeter branch where we ate.Due to the cost of living increases at the moment I think Bills should rethink their 12.5% service charge automatically added to the bill.... I personally would prefer to give the gratuity I was comfortable with and could afford.
From the minute you walk in you start to relax. Firstly a freindly welcome, next beautiful decor and well layed out. Drinks first, well it was only just midday so a bloody Mary, probably the best Ive had! The lime covered in fruity red pepper corns sent it to another level, then burgers...the black and gold burger, if burgers can be fine dining this is up there.Great service, lovely atmosphere, superb food and drink at reasonable price. Look forward to our next visit.
Delicious food, lovely atmosphere, very friendly staff.
The cheese fondue was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, enjoyed the rest of the meal and drinks too.Mireia was the most attentive and lovely waitress 💕
Nice restaurant not too busy but better to book before hand great staff and very helpful.
Great place for casual dining: burgers, fish & chips, steaks and more. Loved it so much we came back for Sunday brunch. Quirky decor, friendly people. Queues at the door, so book ahead.
Lovely atmosphere and good food. I really liked the calamari and the dumplings, very crispy and delicious. The sea bass Florentine was beautiful and the taste was amazing. However there were a few items listed on the menu they didnt have. Service was good and attentive.
We had a delicious anniversary meal here and really appreciated both the quality of the food and the attentive service when it was so busy 😁. My wife was particularly happy with the huge range on the gluten free menu, which makes a welcome change! Thank you!
Lovely little restaurant, food and drinks were really nice! & staff were really friendly!🙂
Popped in for an easy monday meal. Havent been to this place for a long time. Food was lovely, service was great - really relaxed and friendly but attentive.Steak was in special, 8oz for £12 - nice cut of meat and cooked well.We had the donuts for dessert.. they were amazing! Highly recommendedWe will be back very soon
Great place to go to eat, they have a gluten free menu. Best to book before you go as always busy. The gluten free burger is the best Ive had in a long time staff great and friendly. Nice atmosphere in the restaurant. Well worthwhile going to give it a try.
Had a lovely evening meal. The staff were very pleasant and attentive.Very busy place so best to book.
Right... I guess everyone in Exeter knows about this place and no wonder. It is really good. 100% recommended. I have nothing else to say about it. Get yourself in there! You wont be disappointed.
Bills wherever you are never lets you down for atmosphere and welcoming staff. Our waiter even found a beer no longer on the menu so as not to let us down. I had expected to find the same menu choices, like my favourite glow bowl, but had to go with another choice. Glow bowls should be a Bills standard 😉
Nice spacious, well decorated Bills restaurant with a happy team who seem to want the place to do well. Food probably wasnt as good as other Bills that I have been to. Streaky bacon was greasy rather than crispy and the eggs were also under. Easy stuff to fix if the management want to improve.
Perfect for breakfast. Good place and good food. My friend told me that their dinner is also nice. Will definitely come back to have a try.
Foods were so great. Decoration was so pretty! Spacious (I went to the toilet which was on the first floor and there were more roomsand I really liked the atmosphere. They provide some coupons on a certain date for students, so check that out. Staff was not that kindly welcoming, but it was okay. I enjoyed food very much.
