Contemporary European chain dishing up separate breakfast, afternoon tea, lunch and dinner menus.
Great set menu at a reasonable price with lots of choice. The main and dessert were lovely.
Good for a meal at any time of day. Nice hamburgers and lots more. Cheerful and not too pricey.
Lovely venue, great Food & Service, would recommend
We’ve recently discovered Bills in Epsom and wanted to give it a go. The place looks really nice. The staff is quick and very friendly, particular mention of Niki, who served us. She is fab, super kind, and helpful. She was happy to make recommendations without being intrusive. The food was delicious! Will definitely go back.
Food was cold and unseasoned and took over 30 minutes to arrive. Hot drinks were just about warm. Felt like it was sat out for a while. Expectations werent great as have experienced this with other Bills, and they were met here.Wont be coming back.
Would no longer recommend, food poor and service average. We used to love Bills but This is the first time we have been since the menu has changed - for the worse. There is hardly anything left! The garlic bread was doughy and not hot more like pizza bread spread with some garlic paste (the restaurant was not busyso it was sent back. There was something floating in my drink and the staff did not seem to notice the issues, I felt like I was annoying them. Paid and left, will not be back.
Lovely breakfast options.Came as a group of 8 on a Friday morning for breakfast. The service was quite mixed with some members of staff being quire rude and dismissive of our group of young women.Other than that, the food was excellent! We got a whole range of dishes, including the pancakes and the traditional breakfast both of which were delicious.
Fantastic service. Good food. Amazing waitress.
Just had the worst brunch ever. We waited 40 minutes for our foods to arrive and they were a total disappointment. Calamari was so rubbery thought we chewed tyres. The service was absolutely horrible. We never get checked up or asked for a second drink. We asked for sauces but never received them. Will never visit this place again! Now we ended up eating sandwiches from Waitrose
Cant rember day when. It amazing ask if allegrices i said dairy free and help with meuna
I had an unpleasant experience there last night. We were a group of six having dinner. We went out for a smoke and when we arrived back at our table, it was cleared of all glasses and bottles, including my Coke Zero, which I hadn’t even finished. The waiter gave me another on the house. But he gave me full sugar coke! Even tho I said Coke Zero. I didn’t notice this until my second coke. One of our party pointed it out to me. I’m a diabetic. Hence me ordering Coke Zero. So I had already drank 2 full sugar cokes before realising what I was drinking. When I pointed this out to the waitress who took our drinks order, she acknowledged that I specifically ordered Coke Zero. Then our food arrived. My starters was fine. But my main meal (buttermilk chicken burgerwas disappointing. The chips were terrible, as if they were refried. The burger bun was not toasted or heated up. It still had that density you get when keeping it in a fridge. So to sum it up, I would have given it 1 star if it wasn’t for the sincere waitress and waiter. You will not see me eating there again anytime soon and I will definitely spread the word. Come Bills. Up your game!
Great food and the service was amazing.
Slow service, unfriendly staff. Went there with a friend with a voucher she was given as she was overcharged last time we went. Voucher was for £30 and the bill was £44 - on the receipt the voucher was clearly applied and showing a total of £14, however my bank statement today is now showing Ive been charged £44! Abysmal
Love the ambience.Staff service wonderful, shout out to Shai, an Asian lady, some guy and the rest of the staff who handled our rather boisterous children superbly.Nothing was too much trouble.Food was delicious, however, one star taken off as desserts were a disappointment.Would definitely return. Maybe Would think twice about ordering afters.
Pleasant atmosphere. Good service. Reasonable prices. Limited menu. Car park about 10min walk.
The food was delicious & well presented .The staff were very friendly & professional. The restaurant was very clean. I highly recommend it!!
If I could give a 3 and a half star I would! Myself and my guests did like the food, but there was room for improvement. I liked the seared tuna taco as Ive never had that before and the avo on sourdough was nice. However we did recieve overcooked pancakes and a buttermilk chicken burger which lacked favour. I would go back and try the full English which looked great. There was a bit of a delay in the service but to be honest it was the bank holiday so that is fair enough! The cocktails were also nice 🙂
We love this place. Great service, friendly professional staff, lovely decor..and even our little dog manages to relax and make friends with the staff.....and of course the food...superb.
Came here for a mothers day lunch and really glad we booked well in advance as it was busy. Not surprised though, food and service were fab, with lots of options and the interior decor and atmosphere were great. Will be back!
Very disappointing experience. The service was very slow and not very friendly (3 staff was hanging around the till while the restaurant wasnt even busy), we had to wait ages for glass of water on the table and to even make our order - after a verbal note. We were overcharged on the final price (as weve ordered a meal deal and got charged on all meals separately for full price as from the normal menuand we had to calculate the bill split 50/50 as the staff was unable to do it. Steak was cold and served with no vegetable. Definitely not going there again! If I would have more time to complain and not have only an hour on my lunch break, I would have done it.
TL;DR service has vastly improved and the lunch menu is very good value.Used to go to Bills in Epsom a lot pre-Covid but found the service to be awfully slow. It’s definitely improved, but it’s still a place to go if you don’t have a deadline to meet afterwards. The set menu is very good value, and I enjoyed all three courses. My only complaint is that they served some fish goujons but had no tartare sauce in the building. Who offers fish without it? And surely the kitchen could have knocked some up? I know to ask before I order next time.
Friendly efficient staff, food was delicious and there is always a great vibe.
Went for a delayed Mothers Day lunch. Had a great time, really nice friendly staff, tasty food and great atmosphere. My son thought the pancakes were great. High recommended.
Used to be very good , but both service and food was awful today- took 30 mins to serve posched eggs, they insisted that eggs are ALWAYS served with holandaise sauceThen served rock hard eggs
Lovely rustic ambience. Very good service from the time we walked in till we finished lunch. Food was good.
Nice ambience, good food and reasonably priced. Only slightly spoiled by being on a table right by a very slow closing door. Quite cold everytime the door was opened.
Great service, atmosphere and lovely food. Calamari is always my favourite at Bills, highly reccomended!
Visited as previous occasions it has been consistently good…. However, on this occasion it was most disappointing. Although the staff were excellent as always
Bills has a really nice atmosphere and style. The staff member that served us was an absolute pleasure, she was honest, funny and quite bubbly. The food was delicious aswell tho I must admit there where only a couple dishes id personally eat (this is ofcourse a completely personal thing)I was a little disappointed that the dish i wanted was not available but I do hope to return at some point to try it.Parking is the only issue as your best option will be to park in the Ashley center and walk over.
Very nice and tasty food, good sized portions. The staff is very helpful and professional.
Lots of attention and very relaxed. The food was ideal for a quick stop but you want more than take away.
Really nice food but the toilets are disgusting dust everywhere and not clean
Our dinner at Bill’s on New Year Day was superb! Lovely festive decorations in the restaurant, warm and relaxed atmosphere. Friendly and cheerful staff. We ordered crayfish on tortilla for starter, lobster linguine for main, and the iconic ‘Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree’ for dessert. Overall, the food was nicely presented and tasted fresh and delicious. I was expecting a bit of lobster meat in the lobster linguine, but it was just linguine in lobster sauce. The edible Christmas tree was impressive. Will be back to dine at Bill’s Epsom again!
Below average. I ordered the classic burger. It was dry, burned from the edges and tasteless. The size was small for the price. The staff was super polite and helpful though. The place is cosy and clean.
Great place for meeting friends in a relaxed friendly restaurant. The food was delicious, and the service was friendly and great.
Our order took a very long time to arrive & when we asked the waitress she went to ask in the kitchen but then did not come back to let us know how long it would be .The avacado & Halloumi burger could do with some sauce inside as it was very dry .
Friendly staff and the food was really good. It wasn’t busy, so the serving speed may vary, but it was less than 15 minutes from when we ordered. Very close to the station also.
Overall wasnt too impressed. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is okay. The food however is pretty mediocre and underwhelming. The general rule is food has to be good or cheap. You can forgive cheap food for being poor or great food for being expensive, but this is neither. The burgers didnt seem fresh, theyre likely part cooked then frozen as ours was watery. They had griddle marks on them but the waitress said they are done on a frying plate, so it sounds like reheating. They were also tasteless as in no seasoning. Chicken burger was hot in the centre but cool at the edges with a crispy coating, like it was started in a in a microwave then finished off on the frying plate.Chips where not fresh either, theyd been under a heat lamp for so long theyd lost their crisp and there wasnt much of them either. The drinks menu is cheeky too, it says how much in volume each drink is but then it arrives you get less than it states. The waitress said thats been mentioned before but they have to use the stock they are sent and the menus they are given. So in effect youre overpaying for the beverages. The wine was vastly over priced too, £19 for a bottle that costs £3 at cash and carry, making a profit is one thing but come on...The last thing was a service charge on the bill which wasnt too bad until we found out the staff dont see any of it at all. So that came off the bill and we tipped her directly. This is the third time at Bills, (three different places, but all the sameeach time weve been guests of someone else that hasnt been before and each time weve said to go elsewhere but they wanted to give it a go anyway and afterwards said they wished theyd listened. It has so much potential but falls short, its the food and over pricing that lets it down.
Poached eggs were flavourless and cappuccino didnt taste good. Too much dressing on salad. Service was efficient though. The decor of the restaurant was lovely as always.
Since restaurants have reopened, visiting them is disappointment after disappointment, Brexit and Covid had a massive impact on the sector, the lack of staff, waiting time and quality of the experience are awful. But not here! Soooo pleasantly surprised, great staff, extremely quick service and amazing food! Thank you!
Service, hospitality and food quality are great! Was a bit disappointed by cocktails - very average taste and no straw, had to be careful to not swallow an ice cube or lemon... No correlation to the price. Also very limited selection of beer either, probably wine is the only alcohol area Bills can be proud of, not my place
Ive never been to a Bills before and I was pleasantly surprised. I had a vegan burger, though Im not a vegan, and it was beautiful! I followed this with a chocolate tart. Was all really good. Nice friendly staff too. Will definitely go again.
Lovely place and the waiters are lovely! Good food and drinks as well
Soooo good for breakfast, love that its something a bit different if thats what you want. They have oat milk - fantastic! We had quite a wait to have our order taken but good service after that
Delicious food, great wine. We love the atmosphere in Bills. Great family meal out.
Fav. Place. Ever. (From Chicago, IllinoisDef going to miss it when we head home . I had the turmeric coconut latte every morning..and afternoon....aaaand evening...SO delicious. You MUST go here. Food..atmosphere...drinks...all perfection.
The food is always brilliant and the atmosphere fantastic, but the service has been mediocre the last few times. We will keep coming back for the food but the service charge automatically added in the bill can be a bit of a liberty sometimes. Ive not asked to remove it yet but I probably should have the last time. One or two staff members are brilliant and one or two awful. Our meals always seem to fall between 3 or 4 shifts! Glad theyre busy though, its a great place.
Love it! Great food and customer service, will be going back!
Really enjoyed our Sunday breakfast at Bills, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff, food was great! Would definitely return.
We had a lovely meal in Bills today. The burgers were really tasty, the service was brilliant and we would most certainly come back. What really stood out for my wife an I was how accommodating they were with my wife nursing my 3 week old son. They arranged for us to be seated in a quite corner where my wife could feed my son and not feel uncomfortable in the slightest.Thank you, and Merry Christmas.
