Contemporary European chain dishing up separate breakfast, afternoon tea, lunch and dinner menus.
Ordered our food only to be told 20 minutes later that one of the dishes was out of stock. The manager compensated us with two free glasses of wine which was then added to the bill by the waiter. Poor communication skills between the staff, and a very slow service. No wonder it was empty...
Lovely setting and friendly service. Great juice selection and the pancake special I ordered was very tasty!
Terrible service, had to order 3 times and each time the order got progressively more wrong. Waitress was clearly struggling to understand our orders due to a language barrier and when a new waitress was sent over she didnt answer us, rollers her eye, and just walked away.Manager was very apologetic but still asked if we would pay the service 12.5% charge. Very disappointing
3 stars food. 3 star service. Staff are nice enough but come across like they are finding their feet a bit. Had to go find waiter to pay bill so we could leave. Foods good. Nothing great or amazing.
Dumplings starter was fab. Chicken and halloumi burgers good but not great.Service started off well but they lost interest half way through and we ended up waiting an absolute age for our bill.Good but not great.
Generally a very pleasant meal. The service was adequate and the interior was pleasant enough. The food tasted good - just dont order the milkshake, as it is tiny and overpriced for what it is.
After a slightly disappointing first try of Bills Chiswick, I decided to give it another go. Arriving for dinner with friends, the front of house greeted us quickly and amicably, which was very welcoming. However, being seated at the table itself was not good, as the previous tables food debris covered the seats and floor, which the staff did not realise when seating us.Cocktails before the meal were atrocious, both me and my partner specified to the waiter to order a classic, which they confirmed, Tom Collins and Negroni - yet the bartender served us the Bills version of both drinks, which were, in all honesty, undrinkable. We did not finish the drinks. The wine and main course were nothing special, and definitely not worth the price tag attached to them. The wait was far too long - taking more than 40 minutes to arrive when the restaurant was not busy at all.We decided not to stay for dessert, and promptly paid and left. This restaurants only redeemable feature is thefront of house greeting - everything else afterwards isnt worth your money. The service is slow, the drinks are awful, the food is mediocre, and the price tag is hefty. One star after two separate visits - will not return.
I remember the original bills in Brighton and Lewis quite different from what it is now that its a chain. The venues and food were vibrant and the menus changed frequently with great specials. Food was so fresh and great quality. They were always busy, with queues out the door waiting for tables! People would take pictures of the food it looked so good and that was before Instagram became so popular! I found the menu and the food quite boring and the food looked tired not fresh on the two occasions I visited this venue with relatives. There is no atmosphere. Staff were fine and did their job, hence the two stars.
Cosy, nice atmostphere. Went here for work christmas dinner. Great place for large groups as well as families and friends!
i have been to Bills in Chiswick, Ealing, Westfield (White cityand Kensington High Street but the Chiswick one is my favorite. I have been here 4 times now. 3 times for breakfast and 1 time for lunch. It is amazing on a sunny day as it is brightly lit. I usually have a Garden breakfast and I love it. My wife has a gluten free vegan brekfast and she loves her bit.The staff is amazing and the floor manager is very cordial. Many reasons to keep on visiting the place.
Great breakfast, cosy atmosphere and attentive staff...a great breakfast and brunch spot on Chiswick high street.
All time classic one can say. We hadn’t visited for years until last month. Has quickly become our daughter’s and our favourite Sunday lunch. Regular fare in food terms, but excellent quality.
This is one of the best restaurants I have been to so far. Lovely rustic welcoming decor, wonderful accommodating staff. The food was amazing and the service top-notch. I would highly recommend this place. They also always ask you about any food allergies you may have and are very accommodating and caring. 👍😃
I had an excellent dinner here tonight. Warm chicken over grilled veggies, and a starch I think was barley. Plus a nice leafy salad. For dessert I had donuts ( US donut holeswith strawberry pieces, strawberry-flavored dusting, and a wonderful dipping sauce. Unlike any thing Ive had in the US. Excellent!. Plus a huge pot of tea. Im around for another 9 days and will return to try other intriguing items.
I asked for the yolks to be well done...and they were the bottom of them were as black as a black bin liner....the sausage was excellent in taste...tomato not soft for the toast to soak up the juice, mushrooms were ok. nice big pot of tea so not all bad...service was good.
Good tasty well cooked and presented food
Bills at Chiswick is great for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. This restaurant has a tasty, authentic English menu and good service. A very pleasant and welcoming place to spend time with family and friends over breakfast and lunch...
I only ever come here for breakfast and I love it. The pancakes, in my opinion, are amazing (with fruit). The staff are incredibly friendly and I always get the exact same table I sit at - which is a big bonus!
Good looking food , great service , well done
Friendly staff whilst very busy. A lot of choice on their breakfast menu. Good value for money
Fairly routine burgers, chicken and fish dishes with a few veggie options. Nice veggie sharing starter but felt there could be more adventurous meat and veggie mains. Pleasant decor and friendly staff. Would go again.
We went on a Saturday and the place WA s busy. I ordered a hamburger done medium..and it was so over done and dry I should have sent it back to the kitchen. Staff are attentive & pleasant. It can get very loud and noisy...
Good service and nice food. Good selection of gluten free options for my friend on the set dinner menu .
I had the green curry here. It was bland and overpriced for such a small portion. Im sure some of the other food here is good but this was very disappointing. Its the kind of food the Gordon Ramsey would have coated the off for for serving up such rubbish food to paying customers. My advice to Bills...stick to what you are good at...you are not a curry house...thats for sure...and if you are going to charge chiswick" prices, stop being stingy and FEED your paying customers
The food was really nice. We had breakfast menu so went for pancakes with fruits and 2 coconut lattes with beetroot. Good size portions. But the service was very very slow
Nice restaurant in Chiswick High road, british and vegan food, good quality and balanced price.
Very friendly staff, very helpful and when you come in, they always ask if there are any allergies they need to know about.Amazing quality of food. Delicious food. Nice rustic theme. Even gave my sister a complimentary jar of cookies for her birthday. Highly recommended
On an impulse, I recently decided to go to Bills for a breakfast. I have had lunch or dinner there many times, but never breakfast. I was not disappointed. Had a full breakfast (but not the giant one!and it was plenty and delicious. I do recommend it.
Messy service, chips served cold! When we entered a lady showed us to our table. We then sat for almost 10 mins being completely ignored while sat staring at the waiting staff who were stood by the till chatting. In the end we had to stop a waiter who was already serving another table to ask to order. We ordered and my chips came completely cold and we not the type of chips i had asked for but said okay dont worry just take of the extra charge. We did have good service in the end but several different waiters. The initial service when we entered was awful!
Quality of food poor. Chips were served twice well below standard. The first portion overcooked and oily. The second portion over cooked with nearly all the potato cooked away. Ealing was 10 out 10 last two visits but this branch definitely deserves a One rating!
Great food, Good service & nice atmosphere
Burger fine, meat just a Little bit of dry but fries perfect and dip also
Went in, seated immediately. Staff were really nice and welcoming. Ordered a macaroni cheese. Was superb. Really lovely restaurant. Probably the nicest Bills Ive been to.
I have mixed views about Bills. Generally, food and service are good. But, occasionally, the service is so poor it puts me off for a long time. Today I sat for over 5 minutes and wasnt even given a menu. So I got up to leave and the manager (I assumesaid "thanks for visiting Bills". You would think that they have been around long enough to have nailed service.
I would highly recommend Bills on Chiswick. Everything we ordered was delicious and full of flavor. Unique flavors that complimented well. The waitress was very sweet and attentive to our needs. The manager came to our table to make sure our needs were taken care of.Romantic and Enjoyable evening!Guy and Janet
Amazing! Very kind, good food and the best service. I love it!
An amazing meal on mothers day after leaving somewhere else over poor service. They welcomed our party of 8 at short notice and the food and service were fantastic. Will recommend and definitely be back.
A nice place to have breakfast. Healthy food options with vegetarian and vegan choices. Doesnt come across as a chain restaurant, I actually thought it was independent! Pancakes were nice but they should ask you if you want sugar & syrup first.
I like this place, keep going back. Food is very nice. Whatever I have ordered, it was very nice. Deserts too. Staff is friendly as well. I would recommend this place definitely.
Very nice - usual Bill’s. Great for Sunday brunch with friends!
Came to "Bills"on a Tuesday evening to catch up with an elderly friend I hadnt seen in ages. I was hoping for a warm comfortable space, not too noisy, with good, affordable food, and"Bills"did not disappoint. For a Tuesday evening the restaurant was quiet but certainly not empty and enough atmosphere and movement to make one feel comfortable.A well balanced menu covered our own personal preferences, and service was both friendly and prompt, and the food was good. Paying the bill, the manager asked us how our meal was, saying that they were currently focusing on insuring that all food coming out of the kitchen was the best quality they could achieve. We certainly had no complaints, and I will make efforts to return again soon.
Will never visit again!!We came here today for breakfast and had to send our meals back because I forgot to ask for our fried eggs to be well done. I admitted it was my error and sent them back. The waitress seemed to take offence to it and sarcastically responded to me.Anyway they cooked my eggs as requested. Everything looked fine, then halfway through my meal I found a short coarse curly hair on my toast. my hair is long and fine. I dread to think what kind of hair it was.The manager came after us waiting for a good 10 mins and offered us more food. NO THANKS!! I totally lost my appetite!!I wish I had taken a picture of the hair now .Terrible service, rude staff and unhygienic kitchen staff. Zero Stars to be completely honest!!
Terribly cooked food (veggie mezze was soggy and drowned in oil; fries were overcooked and coldand subpar ingredients ( I had to be told what were the falafel and the salad was old as you can see from the picture). Cocktails were too sweet. The steak was good, though. Service was ok and we did get a discount after providing feedback- though Id rather the food was good.
Didnt really know what to expect when I walked into Bills. The place looked nice, the staff were very friendly and helpful and most importantly the food was pretty tasty. A little on the pricey side but overall a very decent place to eat or get takeout, like I did.
Not sure who is writing all these good reviews - must be friends of Bill. The service and staff behaviour is excellent but the food is pretty low level. We got a plate of burnt batter calamari and cold toasted tea cakes. The calamari inside was weedy and tasteless. I think Icelands frozen range is better. Reminded me of my desperate student days food. We got an appology and some discount but this was the second or third time we got substandard food. We use to like Bill a lot but as with lot of restaurants these days, standards are dropping. Probably will stop going there sadly.
Typical chain restaurant with good healthy options & service.
Great food and great service. Highly recommend for brunch.
Service: friendly, very welcoming (bar the attitude to smokers)Food: always a warning sign when food comes out and its steaming as if fresh out of an oven (or in this case likely the microwave)Between three people, we ordered the Fish pie, Shepherds pie and Buttermilk chicken burger.Burger was enjoyed (despite it being essentially a large chicken nugget)Shepherds pie, spent more time removing rosemary from my mouthfuls. Struggled to find any lamb and very little in the way of seasoning or flavour.Fish pie, plenty of shrimp and potato but little else (including taste or flavour)Have to say absolute disappointment, considering it cost £50 for a lot of potato, and an oversized nugget. The service staff are lovely but the quality of the food is sub-par and the kitchen needs to look at itself, and throw out the microwave.
Excellent spot for breakfast.Im a repeat customer to this branch specifically and Im from Manchester.Very friendly service. Theyre always great with my kids.Really filling and really tasty. Would recommend for breakfast in a heart beat.Would certainly give lunch or dinner a go too.
Bravo Bill! We had a really enjoyable brunch here recently. The place is always packed and we were lucky to get a table but very glad that we did. Admittedly we were a little squeezed in but didnt complain once we got a burger and some fries and a salad which were both delicious! Staff were chatty, engaging and fun to talk to but still very professional. Great vibe to the place with a really busy, quirky decor.
