Contemporary European chain dishing up separate breakfast, afternoon tea, lunch and dinner menus.
Very impressed, food was exceptional, our waiter obviously put effort into making sure we had a good experience. We didnt have to wait long at all, the atmosphere inside was nice, and the price is good for the location. They have a particulaly interesting drinks menu with things like Expresso and banana smoothie/coffee and mindful drinks.Ordered bills brunch (essentially a full English with trimmingsand all of it was perfectly cooked, and ingredient quality seemed great. My wifes food was fantastic too, and they catered to her dietary requirements well. Staff seem well trained.
Amazing place! Incredibly friendly & helpful staff who go above and beyond. The eggs royale was phenomenal, & they offered me an extra egg in place of the muffin i cant eat. Our waiter even fixed the wobbly table with the perfect sized coin before we could ask! Setting & atmosphere is great, lovely music, cant wait to come again :)
Good value for money breakfast menu. Friendly staff
Overall atmosphere was a bit dark, staff didnt really know about our booking, the food and drinks were horribly overpriced and small, wasnt at all cooked decently. Such a shame because we had a nice time in the Canterbury restaurant. Staff were nice and friendly.
Bills is always a solid place for lunch dates. Theyve got choices to please everyone, and the food is a high standard. Theres some simple yummy basics and some quirky takes, for both drinks and meals. Lovely serving staff, clean, fab atmosphere.
Amazing service. Amazing food. Great prices! The breakfast was super filling. I would definitely come here again and again. The pancakes were fluffy and lived up to the name. Smoothies were a little more than your average. There wasnt anything I could complain about!10/10 would recommend. The locations cozy and atmosphere was warm. Would also be a great place for a casual date!
Blimey what a meal, absolutely banging starters of chicken dumplings and fried calamari oof I want to be eating it again right now. Had the half chicken for my main and wasnt disappointed as the chicken fell right off the bloody bone, the fries were crispy and the mayo they served was sublime. Cant fault the service as they were total legends. The place looks great love the aesthetic and I love the dranks! 10 10 would eat again! Canny bloody wait for the next one!
Friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Good food and good service. Fish pie was great. Staff were lovely and made us feel very welcome.
Always visit this chain when travelling around UK. Walked a mile for breaksfast here this time and wasnt disappointed. My husband enjoys the quality breaksfast and I have the porridge. We reserved for a 9 30 breaksfast on a weekday and had a lovely window seat. As it turns out it was quiet and reservation wasnt required but in a city it seems wise to book online for everything nowadays.
Cant believe there is only one Bills in Bristol. However, it is good. The service is also good and our garden breakfast was very tasty and they accommodate you by allowing you to pick a different choice. Its a cut above most other chain restaurants too and always has a nice ambiance. However we werent impressed by the "green pressed juice" which distinctly tangy and had a very diluted texture to it, made worse by adding ice!!! And at just under £5 it was very expensive. Give them fair dues, they did take them off the bill.
Interesting decorations and things written on boards to read. Nice good, although there was a bone in my fish pie. Main problem is the service was a bit slow for a work lunch where you have limited time
I love the food here. I had been to Bills restaurant in Soho as well. So this restaurant did not disappoint me. Friendly staff. Food was good and really filling. The sweet potato chips is my favorite. There are many vegetarian options as well. Healthy milk shakes are available which is yummy.
Great value for students (and in general with the 2 course / 3 course dealand super speedy, we came in for lunch in between lectures once. Great salads, mac and cheese, and veggie burger. The brownie is also amazing, definitely a good one to try. Well-located on the triangle too.
The first couple of times I visited Bills for breakfast I was pretty impressed. It wasnt anything fancy or world-changing but it was well-cooked and tasty. Unfortunately I was disappointed with my latest visit. Ordered Eggs Benedict and the hollandaise was runny and seemed to have split and the poached eggs seemed more hard boiled, solid all the way through. I wonder if the finished plate had been reheated or something. As I say, a bit of a let down based on my previous visits.
Really good food and service. The poached eggs we had were perfectly cooked (for me anywayand very tasty. My daughter was offered a choice of how she wanted her burger cooked. Always good to hear and demonstrated that it was cooked fresh.Worth booking at the weekend as it is a popular venue particularly with students with their parents
Friendly and attractive dining experience. Great service. I had a lovely Dover Sole that was very nicely pan fried. Their cocktails were very nice too. My only disappointment was that the option was teensy weensy. Lovely food, but quite small for the price. However I would happily come again and try another dish.
Amazing full english at a decent price, waitress was nice enough to swap out tomatoes for hash browns when I asked :)
Visited Bills on our first visit to Bristol. Love the decor & the feel of the place.....Great play list.....With exposed pipes and duct work! Service was a bit slow initially but our server, Rebecca, picked things up and made the visit worthwhile. We each had the cod goujons and dessert with calamari as an appetizer. The calamari was pretty tender and flavorful. The cod was a bit more bland and non-descript, making us appreciate the tartare. Dessert was a nice ending; cleansing the palate with sorbet, ice cream and a brownie. The overall rating is closer to 3.5, but an overall decent experience.
Lively restaurant and decent food. Not too pricey. I think they were short staffed on the night we went but everything turned out all right. Some of the mains were a bit so-so. Recommended for small party or friends night out.
Enjoyed a fab birthday late lunch here yesterday with my family. Looked after by Sam who was brilliant. Nice touch to bring a jug of water on arrival. Enjoyed a bottle of their house champagne , a sharing platter and then the two course lunch menu which was perfect. So a big thank you .
Came here for a late lunch and iced tea. Was great food! A little on the pricey side, but was really enjoyable so didnt really mind! Service was really quick when we went, although it was also very empty so this may be why! But on the whole enjoyed our meal and time here
Very nice place. Welcoming and cozy. Good anytime of a day: breakfast/brunch/lunch or dinner. Tasty food and veey kind staff.
I really enjoyed visiting here. It was a hot day and the staff were friendly and first thing whilst sitting us down placed a large jug of water with ice. The perfect welcoming. The food was good and the décor is relaxing. The staff were great with my young daughter offering her activities to keep her entertained.
Nice and clean, recommend the breakfast.I am a meat eater but the garden plater vegetarian breakfast was amazing.
I like this chain, I use it for uncomplicated consistent good food at reasonable cost. However! Today I was surprised by my experience. Having asked for 2 tea bags in my pot of tea, I was charged for two pots of team. Assuming this was a mistake, I queried it, to be told it was double for two tea bags. So £2.50 for a tea bag. The hot water, clean pot and cup n saucer were free.Today this really hacked me off. Sorry Bills, this is wrong - rip-off.
Lovely Brunch with the family. I opted for the vegetarian breakfast even though im not vegetarian, and it was absolutely delicious. Everyone else loved there food and they all commented on how delicious the sausages were. Definitely go back again.
Went here for breakfast last week and had a lovely meal. Our waitress was very sweet and the food was good! And they had gluten/dairy free options! I had berry pancakes and a bacon butty with beans! Was clean, quiet and cute!
Popped in for a quick breakfast, went for the eggs benedict, good choice in general, although the ham was quite dry. I dare say Ill be back.
Great chain brand dining experience in a nice area of Bristol... Quality healthy food options including breakfast, lunch or afternoon meal options. Also good softdrink options beyond the normal commercial bottles. Service was excellent and small points made the difference.
An enjoyable breakfast, and two very nice cups of coffee. A clean and airy environment, with very attentive staff. Allergies were checked for and advice given, meal even arrived with a small marker on the plate to ensure staff were aware.
Lovely place , warm atmosphere, perfect service and smiley staff ! I had Bill’s hamburger and it was one of the best meals I had recently! Great job !
We have been to Bills many times and the food and service has always been great. But this time I had the gluten free lemon cheesecake in a glass which was unbelievably wonderful! The gluten free menu is great and never disappoints, thank you for a great experience. Highly recommended.
Good food although vegan duck salad was bit too hot(apparently due to the dressing. Good vegan menu choices and all allergies are listed and explained. Lovely relaxed ambience and our waitress was extremely helpful and attentive.
I have never been to Bill’s and NOT enjoyed the food. Whether it’s for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the food and service has always been fantastic. There’s an excellent range of starters, mains, and deserts for whenever you’re eating, and if you’re looking to have a drink, their drinks menu is extensive. Everything I’ve eaten here - from eggs royale to vegan salads - has been utterly delicious and filling. On that note, there are a few vegetarian and vegan options; but I would always love to see more options at any restaurant. Overall, a wholly pleasant restaurant experience for a reasonable price.
Had not been to Bills for a while but was very happily surprised when I was there this week for a work Christmas meal. All three courses were good, highlight being the turkey main pictured. The food was tasty and well prepared and my colleagues similarly had good things to say about their meals. However well all did struggle with the desserts which were rather large and quite dense. Surprisingly there was no chocolate-based dessert option for the Christmas meal. I previously have eaten breakfast and dinner at Bills which were fine but this was better and makes me want to visit again.
Really good food and actually affordable! Lovely staff. At the end they offered us a lucky dip from a teapot. There were 5 of us for dinner and between us we won 2 items from their little shop at the front (we chose some pink lemonade and apple juice), a free dessert and a free glass of prosecco!
Nice food and drink in a trendy comfortable environment. Possibly a bit pricey and I think that my fish burger was a few fish fingers but tasty. Excellent melon and raspberry cooler.
Very nice atmosphere very full. Queues outside for lunch on Fathers day. Food very nice but as Gluten Free I was somewhat limited. My choice turned out to be a rather small portion but very tasty. Vegetarian choices were better. Normal choice was extremely filling and went down well. Lots of choice on menu. And two large and olde worldy pots of tea after ordering tea for three. This was well received. All in all most folk and children would enjoy daytime menu.
Had 3 courses here and the food was pretty good, apparently the cocktails come premixed and cant request your own. We however found the tables to be quite close together and almost felt like you had a whole bunch of new friends. As well as this I felt for what we got it was quite expensive and can get better food for the same or even slightly less.
A lovely cosy restaurant that is also a small shop that sells their own branded products. Definitely stands out from the rest- beautiful and elegant surroundings. Excellent prices- you can either order from the set menu, two courses for £11.95/three courses £13.95. You can also order from the main menu which has a range of starters, mains and desserts. I chose the fish finger sandwich which was really delicious. The fish batter was crispy and succulent and I liked that the bread was toasted, served with ketchup, tartar sauce (devine!and crispy fries. Staff- professional and attentive without being too intrusive. The restaurant also offers a 20% student discount and also a 20% discount for NHS and emergency employees. I would definitely recommend this restaurant as its beautiful and great for a quick lunch, special events and romantic dinners.
Food pretty good if a little rustic in places.Service fast, polite and keen.Id come back.
Pretty good service, but I keep hitting my head on the lights... theyre just too low, Whats this place designed for? Vertically challenged people? Id even go so far as to say that the designers are discriminative against tall people. Disgraceful. But other than that its all very tasty and I had a really nice mocha.
I had a fantastic brunch. The bacon pancakes are phenomenal. Its mid range price Id say. Its not cheap but hey.... go to spoons if thats what your after. Service was great and then they went and gave me free cookies at the end!! I was served by a lovely waitress with an Aussie accent (maybe New Zealand: I dont want to offend anyone). The only problem was I couldnt leave a tip on the card machine! Sorry guys! 😔
Came here a few times for breakfast, the pancakes are always lovely, I cant fault them. The staff are friendly and Informal and the restaurant is decorated in quite a quirky style. The price is pretty reasonable and the menu gives you plenty of choice.
This is a lovely little restaurant. Great service and great food!
It was busy as always and I was disappointed that they had stopped doing breakfasts. Id been looking forward to scrambled eggs et al all the way down from Manchester. My expectations were dampened. However, their teas always good and you get a decent pot of it. I went for Avocado, Bacon & Spinach salad - it was excellent! And plenty of it. Service was good too - our waiter offered to move us to a better table in the window as soon as it became available. If you did breakfasts all day itd be 5 starts.
Great service and the food was fantastic. This is a place I would recommend visiting.
Brunch was excellent and good value. Service however was disorganised. We must have at three to four different waiting staff to the table serving different parts of our order and it took the almost as much time to bring us our coffees as it did to make our meals.
Ive been loads of times to Bills, both with work and with my family (two young kids). The staff have always been lovely and the food very good - in fact its the first time my daughter has ever finished a restaurant meal. The Bills burger is so good that Ive not tried anything else yet, but my wife likes the risotto and the kids love the fish fingers. Judging from the other reviews (all quite old), I think the teething problems must all have been sorted out by now, as Ive never had anything to complain about. Highly recommended!
While Bills on the Triangle is a beautifully-decorated building, I dont think Ill be going back any time soon. Service was polite and friendly, no complaints there, but I went in for a meeting over coffee and was disappointed. Theyve invested in decent coffee machines but either have substandard coffee or just need to train their staff better, as my latte was essentially coloured hot milk - and Ive heard the same from others too.
