Contemporary European chain dishing up separate breakfast, afternoon tea, lunch and dinner menus.
Amazing place, we went for dinner. 23 Spaniards having dinner in this lovely place and I can only say Thanks so much !!!Food is excellent but service is outstanding
Server kept my change and gave a funny look when we asked for it, saying they didnt know if there was any left in the till.It was awkward. I like the option to leave a tip not to just have the rest of my cash taken without my saying
Ok.. this is a hard one for me as I have loved bills for years and always loved it there. But standards have gone down in our opinion. The food isnt great like it used to be we have been back a 3 more times to see if it was just a back meal but no . Disappointed everytime. Which is so sad. Great venue and staff are helpful and lovely but the quality has gone down hill. And the toilets are just gross. So dirty and smelly, its just not good enough especially for the steep price of the food. Sorry bills things need to improve
Booked table for 6.30 and I am writing this in the restraunt and at 8.30 it has still not arrived. Absolutely appalling service. Tables that came in after us have come and go. They say they have big tables but that Is a rubbish excuse for bad service. Would not come back again.
Cant fault the service here especially the Gluten Free menu, but unfortunately both my husband and I suffered from bad indigestion soon after eating the food here. We have not had this issue in other Bills Restaurants. One was a normal meal and the other a GF one.
The service was really difficult and was not very accepting of my food allergies. Simply telling me that I should eat seeds even though I have seed allergies. Also the service was very slow for the rest of the table.
Ordered truffle chicken as it said truffle on the menu 3 times. Arrived to the awful smell of chicken fat juice which turned my stomach. Ate half of the meal before I decided it was flavourless and no taste of truffle whatsoever. I asked the server over who relayed my complaint to the manager who tried to justify the lack of truffle and explain the jus was red wine. I reiterated the smell of chicken run off juices turned my stomach and rather than offer me a refund of the seriously disappointing £14 meal he tried to offer me a free dessert, which I didnt want. Tip automatically include too which I disagree with. Ive had too many over priced bad customer service, non negotiable included tip meals here that Ive made the decision to never return.
Went to bills for the 2 hour bottomless pancakes, the pancakes tasted okay but the long wait for each round meant you could only order 2 rounds so wouldn’t really call it bottomless.
The team at the restaurant are very knowledgeable and friendly. The food was excellent and very tasty. I would recommend a visit here.
Brilliant, quirky place with great food. The menu is somewhat limited, but what’s on the menu is superb. Great staff too.
The best plant-based burger weve ever had!! Also big portions, a really comfy atmosphere and very nice staff :)
Fantastic - staff were lovely and friendly decor is beautiful.Breakfast was gorgeous will definitely be returning could not find a fault 😊
A 10 minute walk away from the seafront and close to The Royal Pavilion you will find Bills.First time here, the experience was excellent.Firstly, the design is very impressive with downstairs seating and also the mezzanine above. Lovely ambience and very attentive and friendly staff. The food was excellent and of a very high standard. They provide a set meal or main menu selection so there is something for everyone. This is one of the best restaurants in Brighton for value, food quality and excellent service and atmosphere. We’ll worth a visit!
Bills was suggested to me by a helpful server at a nearby coffee shop when I mentioned Id failed to book a place to eat on Bank Holiday Monday. The suggestion did not disappoint! The staff and service were great, the setting comfortable and interesting, and I was offered an extensive Gluten Free menu to order from - always worth extra when I dont have to pick through or ask the staff a list of awkward questions! The Full Brunch was just what I needed, but it was the side of fried Haloumi that really won out! Safe for me to eat, and I could have kept ordering more.Would highly recommend
Lovely restaurant, decorated rustically and has a nice atmosphere. Staff are friendly and welcoming, but very helpful. Food was tasty, cooked well and presented nicely. I will make a return here for sure!
Still a nice place for having wine and gathering.
Really impressed with food and service for our group booking of 24 of us for a family reunion. Was very organised and impressed with efficiency in getting food and drinks out, great food options for kids too. Special shout out to our waiters Jess and Michael for excellent service, thank you for a great evening
Everyone was so lovely from when we arrived to leaving! Nothing was too much trouble to them even with seating a table of 6 with no booking. A special mention to Lisa who was super helpful in looking after us all. The food was so tasty and there was something for everyone in our group. Would highly recommend if you’re about this area.
Had a fabulous family dinner here, 10 of us, to celebrate our daughters graduation. Amazing interior, house dj, fabulous food, lovely friendly staff, we were very impressed. Absolutely worth a visit. 10/10 👌
This place was nice and the vibes were immaculate. I got the chicken sandwich and I find that most of the things in England rely on the flavors of the sauce, not of the meat. I am not a sauce person, but I will not let that bias get in my way of saying the sandwich was good. I also got the banana toffee pie cup and it was really good. While i would prefer a pie slice I dont think they serve that here so I cant complain. Overall good meal 👍
We had a lovely meal at Bills! The food was delicious and the range was impressive but what made it such a good experience was how friendly and welcoming the staff were. We were travelling that day and had two suitcases. Without asking the host offered to store them behind the bar so we wouldnt have to worry about them. We were served by 3 people and every single one of them was kind, funny and gave great suggestions about what we should try. We were glad we made Bills the last experience we had in Brighton as we really ended on a high with them 😊
Nice food although Lobster linguini was a bit light on Lobster! However, the staff were amazing saying so friendly and efficient. The place is very beautifully decked out and worth a visit.
My friends and I enjoyed a lovely brunch here on a chilly Sunday morning. We had booked online and were pleased to do so as the restaurant was full throughout the meal. I ordered a cocktail and although it was delicious, I had to slip it very slowly as there was only about a mouthful in the glass at the cost of £7. We ordered our food and it came in good time. The meal was very tasty and the poached eggs were cooked to perfection! Still, I felt it was a little over priced for £13. My friend ordered the banana smoothie which she wasnt aware contained a shot of espresso. She took one slip and hated it. After we received the bill we asked the server if he could remove this item and he was very kind and did so without any hesitation! I liked the decor and atmosphere of the restaurant and would come again. The staff were lovely and all said goodbye on our way out of the restaurant.
We went here for my girlfriends 25th birthday. The food was amazing both in savoury and sweet and the drinks and cocktails were amazing as well. The staff were all fantastic polite enthusiastic and helped make her birthday truly special. Treating her like the birthday girl but not singing her happy birthday when she begged them not too.Overall fantastic place beautiful ambience that everyone visiting Brighton should go.
Fantastic breakfast local with large portions. Staff was freindly and attentive. Highly reccomend if you are in the area
I had breakfast here.I love an English breakfast because it is simple. Cooked food very simple.Unfortunately not here.I wasnt sure if I had enough potatoes with my salt. The mushrooms were coated in something, which I have no idea about. Limp, soggy streaky bacon is horrible.I will not go on but you get the idea.Interesting that there were 2 other tables both drinking the bloody Marys.I might have enjoyed my breakfast if I had been drunk enough.
Marvellous! A genuine 5 star experience! Delicious meals, really great service with attentive and friendly staff. Utterly recommended!!!Return visit - happy to report the experience was every bit as good as the previous time! 😁
Platinum Jubilee cocktails were on point here! Great themed menu options and lovely service to match - had a fab meal and a really good time.
Went for dinner at 8 o’clock. Drinks and food came out extremely slow. Waited 40mins for starter then a further hour for the mains, staff did not give us any reassurance food was coming and chose to ignore our presence instead, until we complained. Even then food came out over cooked. Came for a Christmas dinner earlier in the year and had a very similar experience.Very disappointed will not be returning
Good food, good service, at a reasonable price. No complaints. We had brunch, we’re seated quickly, the staff were attentive, and the food was served quickly.
We came in and were seated fairly promptly by the sweetest and friendly guy Ive ever met in my life. We ordered our drinks which came fairly quickly, and then ordered our food. We ordered eggs Benedict and Mac & cheese with fries. Unfortunately the Mac & cheese came cold, and we were 1 portion of fries short. We made the staff aware, and the manager came down and apologised profusely. She then came back with hot mac & cheese, our extra portion of chips, as well as an extra portion should we want it.Once we finished our mains we ordered donuts. They were great, but they did take 15 minutes to come out which is a long time for dessert. We got the bill, and saw the manager had kindly knocked money off for us. Since the staff were friendly, we kept the optional service charge on although I wish they didnt add it automatically. The food was amazing, and we really appreciated the gesture from the manager. But overall it was a shoddy experience.
Great service even first thing in the morning. Friendly staff, food is great (big Bill’s fan after being to many), great interior as expected. All round very good experience as you’d expect from Bill’s
Absolutely loved this restaurant! The decor was really homely whilst also being super stylish. we got calamari and the cheese fondue for the table. Best calamari Ive ever had and the truffle cheese fondue was out of this world! However it could have been better with more sauce as most of the bread soaked it up! For Mains I had the meatballs, which had so much flavour and sides were great. My partner had the black and gold burger (mediumwhich was cooked to perfection. He said one of the best burgers he ever had! Our side of Mac and cheese was game changing! Cocktails were good also. Brilliant place for lunch or dinner. Especially for date night! Only downfall was that we had asked our waiter at the beginning, if the restaurant accepts blight light discount (which is doeshowever a different waitress came and gave me the bill and card machine. No mention of the discount and I completely forgot to remind them so ended up paying full price of the meal when we were entitled to NHS discount.
How did we not find you before? next time we come to Brighton we will be booking for lunch or dinner. We had an outstanding breakfast this morning. The poached eggs were perfection. We were made to feel so welcome.Outstanding food and superior friendly service. 👌 good job guys, cant wait to come back.
Attended on a busy weekend night, was greeted within a minute at the door and swiftly sat on comfortable chairs at our table. Staff were all professional enough, had some of the best food Id had in a while, a few nice beers to accompany. I cant wait for my return visit, they truly are good here at Bills.
Absolutely brilliant. Went for breakfast (had Bills brunchand it was awesome. It gets really busy so best to book, especially at the weekend. Staff were lovely, really looked after us and were kind, polite and attentive. Food is brilliant and coffees are delicious. Highly recommended. Will visit again soon.
Nice and friendly staff, good music and atmosphere! Incredible food on top of it, would totally recommend!
Service was great, food nicely prepared and hot and very tasty. Love the atmosphere of this restaurant and a great place to have a get together with family or friends.
Very friendly staff and the atmosphere was so nice! Definitely go if youre visiting Brighton, breakfasts are served all day. Leona, our waitress upstairs, was so friendly and even recommended some places for us to visit! Food was delicious 😋
Food and atmosphere were nice, however, it didn’t wow me. It was a spontaneous decision, so it was pleasant. Maybe I just didn’t pick the best options on the menu. The presentation was beautiful though.
Everything was excellent! Even though it was extremely busy we got our plates quite quickly and they were both really tasty! Friendly staff and very cosy decor. I’d say that it’s your normal Bill’s but it’s actually better haha
Really enjoyed the quality of food! Great selection for GF V and VG just the vegan breakfast options could be more filling. I ended up having granola with my tofu scramble as I was still hungry! Very friendly staff.
Bill’s is one of the better brunch spots I have been to. There is a great selection of foods available for both non vegetarians and vegetarians. It has a great ambience and the staff was extremely friendly too!The highlight for me was the Mac & Cheese! It was so creamy and defintitely one of the better mashed I have had. The pancakes were really fluffy as well which I enjoyed. I also tried the traditional breakfast which was standard but great to have. My friend tried the peri peri chicken and really liked it too.Highly recommend this spot for breakfast/lunch/brunch!
What a wonderful diner. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The pot of tea was devine!! The eggs royale were cooked to perfection and the pancakes simply mouthwatering. Will return to Bills on every visit to Brighton. Amazing
Bill’s is a must try restaurant for everyone. I had an amazing experience, with very good service and a very bright interior and restaurant setting. We were a group of 10, and they accommodated us very well! All the food was amazing and I particularly enjoyed the Mac And Cheese. All my friends also complimented their food! I would 100% recommend everyone to try it.
I normally go to Bills with a high expectation as their known for a popular brunch destination. I think the service was a little unsteady at the start with seating issues. In most instances you’d fix up by offering great table service, simply menus been given is a good start. I personally think it was all slow.I ordered some food after 15 minutes of wait time on a non busy afternoon. The starter was an absolute joke. Two small, pieces of bread, as if they were low on stock. Either way, main course was average and the mac cheese was very watery.Overall, they need to consider their portions and meeting up to their pricing. Atmosphere was nice, and clean.
Went in for a last-minute brunch on Sunday afternoon around 1:30pm and really enjoyed it. The service was solid and the food was very tasty. I had the garden plate and the Eton mess for dessert (a mango meringue which had a smooth creamy flavor, not too sweet). The sparkling drinks that my friend and I shared were also very tasty. Even though the restaurant was very busy, our servers were great.
I LOVE the breakfast here and the ambience is great! All the Bills are unique and they also have vegan options. Very reliable and the morning strawberry juice was also very refreshing.
Nicely located to not be over busy but still at peak a very short wait might give you a moment to take in the atmosphere.Brunch is great as expected and be sure to try the hand made cooler drinks. Also enjoyed just people watching for a while, there is no real rush. So sit back, relax and enjoy good food, drinks and atmosphere.
During my recent trip to Brighton we had a lovely breakfast at Bill’s, a popular chain of restaurants with over 79 outlets in the UK serving an all day menu. It all started in Lewes 18 years ago in 2000!Bill’s was bustling when we arrived with our large group on a hen do! The restaurant is split into two tiers and we dined upstairs. In the lead up to the booking, the communication from Bill’s was excellent and we pre-ordered our food. They were very patient with everyone arriving and a couple of people changing their orders! The brunch menu at Bill’s is extensive and includes pretty much everything you want! We kicked off with some prosecco and the bride had a special cocktail made for her which was really sweet. The hot chocolate with cream and a FLAKE was also amazing! As usual, the standard of the food was great and very reasonably priced. I love their 3 stack pancakes with streaky bacon (£7.95)! The eggs benedict (£7.95and the Smashed Avocado on Toast with smoked streaky bacon (£9.45were also very popular with the group.I definitely recommend a trip to Bill’s when you are in Brighton
