We just passed by it by chance. It wasnt really in our itinerary at the time but we went in anyway. We asked the locals if we needed an entrance fee, but we just needed to sign an attendance sheet. There wasnt really much inside. Its your typical ancient fort with some peculiar objects in it. But nothing really stands out. If it happens to be on your route, just visit it. Its free anyway.

Nice castle to visit when you are in Sur. There aren’t a ton of things to see, the tour can be done in 30 minutes.

يعتبر حصن بلاد صور من اقدم الحصون في السلطنة وقد مان قديما مركز الحكم في الولاية ومقر للوالي والسجن المركزي للولاية والذي كان يخدم جميع المناطق في ولاية صور والمناطق المجاورة ويعتبر حالياً احد اهم المقاصد السياحية اذ يحتوي على العديد من التراثيات والقطع النادرة كما انه من اكبر الحصون مساحه ويحتوي على اربع ابراج وسجن وسراديب وممرات ارضية وفلج وبئر ومسجد والكثير من الغرف ويتوسط الحصن منطقة السوق بلاد والذي كان نشطا كأحد الأسواق قوة في المنطقة

Very quiet, we came at 11am, this was Thursday while Gmap said it closed on Friday but nobody was there. There was an entrance but some guy just slept there and looked like it was also his home, we just took pics from the outside. The guy seemed did not care at all with our visit and after a few minutes of walking circling the castle, we gave up.
