Upbeat coffee shop serving light fare, plus a bike shop offering rentals, service & accessories.
We used their shuttle for the Katy trail. Tony was courteous and efficient.
I love it they are very friendly and the food is really good I well tell my friends 💘
Just passing through the area and we wanted soup. Mom said her potato leek soup tasted like her mom made it. I had tomato soup and it was delicious. Cute place.
Nice Cafe, good healthy food and a nice selection of cold and hot drinks and I love the outside garden setting area. For bicycle riders its the place to go 😊
Wonderful food and coffee. A nice place to relax and walk over to the riverside park after eating a delicious sandwich. Beautiful map of the Katy trail on the wall.
Great sandwiches and coffee, bike shop has everything you need as well for the trail!
Food was great, location and ambiance terrific, drip coffee lukewarm, $40 including tip for breakfast for two is a lot.
The customer service is always really good and the vegan cinnamon rolls are delicious but the food is bland for my taste (i am not from the midwest). Also I have had an issue of them putting cheese on vegan menu items so always double check your food.
I ordered the grilled cheese and tomato on sourdough which was delicious. The menu offers a wide variety of foods and beverages to choose from. Service is great. Atmosphere is small but cozy.
Such a cute place. I have used them several times to rent a bike and buggy. I haven’t ate much here but today I did try the Lewis & Clark wrap and it was so good. Very filling and flavorful. I will need to keep them in mind for more future lunch dates. Oh and you will not be disappointed with an iced turtle espresso!
Very nice people, rented some bikes Very helpful people and reasonable bike rental rates
Good vegan spot, limited options though. The vegan burger was amazing. It wasn’t dry, seasoned to perfection. Sauce was on point. I would prefer some healthy fries over the chips, perhaps a suggestion.Overall good place to snack after a workout.
Come, eat and play. Bike Stop Cafe has the Best Latte! The best river view and best park view. I had the Best Juarez wrap breakfast! No matter the time or day they have the best ambient, and they are the best Cafe with outdoor seating. Rent a bike or 2, or 42! Rent a bus bike! Or just sit and chill under tree shades with a beer or 2, or 42. Best bike shop. Best food and bike service. Best chat too! Come and meet new people, or meet the same old people! Come at night and seat by the fire, como early and wake up with a double expresso. Enjoy!
Very helpful and friendly staff. We are riding our bikes across the United States and they provided great information to get us into Illinois after finishingtheKaty Trail. Food was healthy and fresh.
Excellent spot to grab a yummy snack, quench your adult or kiddo thirst. Bike repair and people watching also provided. Steps from the Katy…
When you are out for a stroll, run, or ride. Bike stop cafe is a great spot to recharge. Tucked away just enough to be off the road and in the shade, yet still very convient. Plenty of patio seating for some extra space after a run or ride to stretch out and enjoy a meal. My Italy sandwich add turkey and chips (goat kettle chips, my favorite was Excellent a d everyone else was enjoying thier meals as well. Great value for quality and ambiance. Friendly staff , zero negatives in my book I will definitely return.
There was confusion on what is vegan. They do not have as many vegan items in house as offered on their menu. Only vegan cheese offered is queso. Better than nothing but certainly cannot go on a bagel. I gave 2 stars bc the people were nice, just need to be better educated on the menu items for different dietary needs and take things off the menu that they dont actually have.
Replaced my cracked valve stem in less than 20 min… y’all are the best!
Kevin was so helpful with the bike that we rented and went out of his way to ensure that we were prepared for our family’s first bike ride together! He has excellent customer service and would strongly recommend this for bike rentals again because of him! Thanks Kevin!
Great place to grab a beer or a bite to eat and chill with a nice view of the river. Will definitely be coming back!
Easily one of my favorite spots to grab a coffee on Main Street. I love that they are open 7 days a week. They have everything on the menu from coffee, to cocktails, to sandwiches. The patio is one of the best in STC! Highly recommend this place.
We had a bike tire split on us and before we could finish a ice cold beer from the Cafe the repair shop had us a new tire and tube ready and got us back on the trail.
Very overpriced drinks. Today we went in for two iced espressos. We were charged $15.77. At other cafes we regularly order these same drinks and generally pay less than $8.00 for the two. We questioned the price, but did not get a sensible explanation.Update: I’m shocked that a business would let this review stand for a month without responding! This seems like it should have been a mistake that could easily have been corrected - guess not. So, yep, WAAAAAY overpriced drinks!
Dined outside. Delicious Katy 1/2 sandwich and 1/2 Northwoods salad!!Our dog could sit outside and there were dog water containers for her.Loved it!
Today was my first experience with Bike Stop. I was a little skeptical because it is mostly vegetarian, and I am not a vegetarian. I ordered the Tuna melt and a cup of chili through Grub Hub and oh my goodness... They were so delicious! The chips that came with the sandwich were even phenomenal - they are overcooked to a golden brown that is filled with flavor and you cant get that anywhere else. The chili had an unexpected variety of vegetables that just made it exquisite - I particularly enjoyed the mushrooms. I am very picky and I found every bite to be better than the one before. I also got a lemonade, and its good, but nothing to rave about - probably Minute Maid. Thank you!
You have to try this Cafe .Very eclectic menu. Forget hamburgers, fries, hotdogsGreat salads, wraps, fruit plate, sandwiches. Pretzel, zucchini muffins.Great vegan locationThey have expresso coffee, wine, craft beer, ice tea etc.
I recently went there for the first time. The sandwich I ordered was delicious! They have a great selection of food, beer, wine, sodas & more. I loved the welcoming atmosphere, decor & nice employees. Clean restroom, indoor & outdoor seating plus a firepit. I will definitely return. I also want to rent their 4 person bicycle (when its warmer out), looks like fun. I highly recommend this cool place. Im also thinking of getting my bicycle fixed & tuned up there.
The line only had a couple people in it yet it takes almost 45 mins to get a sandwich! Ordered a grilled cheese no tomatoes and cinnamon roll. I told them i wanted the cinnamon roll warmed up and it was ice cold when she brought it out and the grilled cheese had tomatoes on it when it was brought out 45 mins later. The lady at the counter accused my husband of picking up the wrong sandwich… nope. The ticket clearly says no tomatoes . Ridiculous
Great outdoor seating with fire pits for those winter afternoons! Enjoy your favorite warm beverages with a view of Frontier park.
I Had to wait 10 plus minutes before I could rent a bike and another several minutes for them to find helmets. I was the only customer on that side of the business. Later I waited about 15 minutes trying to turn the bike. Keep in mind that time with the helmets and waiting for them when returning was time I was charged for as part of the bike rental. I mentioned as much but but the rental guy didn’t seem to care. The cafe part is good but the rental business needs some attention.
It has a lovely outdoor area and a nice selection of sandwiches, wraps also. However, the staff or one in particular could be just a tad bit friendlier. The drinks are a bit overpriced also.Response: I would say it was around 8 or 9am. Im unsure of the exact time but it was very recent. The person in question was female and was older than the rest of the staff. I wouldnt say say she was overly rude but did seem irritated or annoyed by a couple questions I had asked. Which made me think she just didnt care for her job since it was slow and there was nobody else waiting to be served. I just think if a person works in customer service being friendly comes with that territory. Theres plenty of places I can go to for coffee or similar beverages but Im much more likely to return based off of the personalities of the staff. Its always the people that make a business more pleasurable I believe.
I recently had a 4 day visit to St Charles with my sisters. The Bike Stop Cafe is a gem! The food is So Good. Honestly, we ate there EVERY day! Highly recommend it. Dont forget to enjoy some wine during happy hour.👍
Food is good, nothing amazing, but good. Staff is friendly and accommodating, but sadly the wait and portion size ruined it for us.It was a 30 minute wait when they were not busy, only 3 people in front of us. They brought out one order every 10 minutes, must have only had one person cooking… apart from that, the portions are very small. They said it was “a lot of food” but the 2 waffles are equal to about 1 normal sized waffle, and the wraps are small as well. Both $10, overpriced in my opinion.
I love this shop for so many reasons, the location, the atmosphere, the good coffee. But, though the food is good, it is waaaay to pricey. A cup a soup was $7 and it was probably about 6 oz of soup. It should be $4. Originally I was ordering a sandwich but when just a sandwich rung up for $15 dollars I settled on the soup. At a coffee shop cafe I am not expecting to pay The Cheesecake Factory prices! One thing I do greatly appreciate is all their vegetarian/vegan/glutton/dairy free options. That is rear in a lot of places.
This is one of our favorite places to grab lunch in St Charles. The sandwiches are SO delicious and the atmosphere is awesome. We have dined inside and outside and taken our food to go and have been highly satisfied every single time. My son who is a picky eater has even found a favorite sandwich here, The Abbey and its my favorite too! Yum!!! Also check out the miniature bistro fairy door as part of the Miniature Portals of St Charles!
This cafe is incredibly cute and homey at the same time. The service was so friendly and helpful, and the food was AMAZING! We will be back for sure 😁
Lovely little cafe along the Missouri River. Good food and awesome atmosphere. We were a large group and definitely overwhelmed them with our big batch of orders, so even as service took a while, the quality did not suffer. Kudos to the staff.
We had about 20 online orders for eat in at noon on a Sunday. The staff did a really good job getting many orders on time. A few did get delayed, and the staff was apologetic, while still taking care of their walk in customers. The food is delicious and reasonably priced.
Had the Greek Greek Goddess Wrap, awesome. My extremely lovely wife had the Chicken Salad Sandwich, she reports excellent. Had the mocha always a favorite.
The staff is friendly and accommodations. The food is amazingly delicious. Healthy and mostly vegan cuisine. There is a bike shop and encircles for rent.
It was my first time at the Bike Stop Cafe and I will be back for sure! The staff was very friendly, the cappuccino I had was excellent. The convenience of the bike shop attached is genius 😉. Cant wait for my husband to get his bike and we might be able to start a new tradition of Sunday breakfast.
Superb atmosphere, staff, Yukon wrap and lemonade! Absolutely gorgeous day didnt hurt, either!
Super tasty food and drinks. I really appreciate that the many vegetarian options are just a regular part of the menu. Theres a big outdoor patio with umbrellas. The clean-clutter aesthetic is really cute and fitting. The extra rainy day may have caused them to have less of a crowd. There was only one other customer inside and during our whole visit. Our flavoured coffees came out quickly. We got 2/3 of our food items very fast but had to wait just a bit for the last plate.Ill definitely be telling folks about this little stop, and be going back soon.
Though there was not a large crowd we waited over thirty minutes for two sandwiches. My boyfriend asked to add ham to his sandwich, and it came with one paper thin slice. He couldnt taste the ham at all. I couldnt taste the Kahlua in my boozy mocha, either. Wasnt really worth the price.
20 minute wait with no customers ahead of me for 2 very uncomplicated coffees. Will not return. Staff was more concerned with with shop gossip then handling their customers.
Coming from creve coeur lake my bike tire blew out close to the rock quarry place on the katy trail walked my bike a few miles to this place. Grabbed a beer had my tire tube replace 15 minutes later and got back on the trail :)
We love this place.... I had the Community Garden sandwich and he had the Juarez. Of course its not a stop at the Bike Stop without the pretzels and beer cheese. Organic and local food with a view and a vibe... Love💘!
Cute place! Decent coffee. Plus theres a bike repair shop. Very relaxed atmosphere. Good for a chill pit stop near the Katy Trail and some food.
Love this cute little place! Ride up and park right off the Katy. Healthy food options, good espresso selection, bike and helmet rentals of all types, bike accessories sold and installed here. They will also give your dog water. The staff is also super cool!!
Found this little gem on New Years Day when most places were closed and could not ask for a better way to bring in 2018! Tony was both helpful and attentive. The atmosphere was made up of great easy jazz music coupled with much needed warmth. The Klondike & Tuna Melt served as a perfect recharge to venture back out in the cold. Stopping in is a must!
