Big Scotsman in Mount Barker

What a hospitable motel

Since I was very young Ive always seen this big Scotsman, so they must be doing something right to still be there.

Not bad very good clean and great staff

Its good for budget room for weekly rates which are very fair. Close to city and public transport.

Staying with our family dog. Staff are fantastic and cpurteous

For the get away from. Everything you need to have! One night a hundred bucks of pure peace! Thankyou Scottys for being there!

He aint that modern but hes warm and safe and can provide hours of endless minutes of entertainment looking up his kilt to discover.....WoW

Good that they shelter abused and incredibly in need families great business

It was great the rooms are really clean and tidy

Wouldnt say this is a tourist attractions but the Big Scotsman is an icon in the area

Yeah Clean and tidy.but a bit Of an ordeal getting our of the car park onto the main Rd

Nice clean well run motel can attract some adult customers at time a little less deireable but overall a Good family spot close to the city

Worst customer service with the day manager being border line racist arrogant and rude with myself and my partner will be telling everyone to pay a little extra to get decent quality service.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, serviced daily, stayed with two children and would definatley stay again, busy motel, book early ;;)

Have been here only a cple of hrs, very lovely girl in the office. Even put there Wifi on my ph for me. The room is absolutely spotless. Cant say nothing bad at all. Will I stay here again, yes I will

Great staff, service and stay.

Very comfortable & clean with pleasant, co-operative staff & breakfast to the room available. In summer, theres a fairly deep, small pool, well fenced & adequate 4 the Motel size. Parking onsite, but not necessarily right by the booked motel room. A laundry is available with a washing machine & drier. Just north of Adelaide city.

As a tourist attraction it gets one star, it a hotel on a main road.The big guy looks impressive as you drive past.This is not a tourist attraction.

Didnt like mould in the shower

Too many people selling illicit drugs on premises. Stay well away or you could end up in a police bust situation.

Beds were lumpy, toilet ran the whole time. Bathroom door was squeaky and very stiff. Decor and Furniture was mismatched and outdated.The room also lacked natural ventilation/air flow.No windows or natural light.Room felt like a show box.For the price i paid i expected a little better than what i got.

Best quality room Ive had for a similar price. The only potential problem is they dont have a microwave in the room if youre planning on a TV dinner. They didnt ask for a deposit which was nice so thats a first for me after staying in many hotels and motels. Plenty of parking which seems safe if youve got a nice car. Great location and friendly owners/staff. Ill be back.

Hey I highly highly recommend not staying there its full of junkies and hookers and unless something goes wrong in a massive way nothing gets done about it. After staying there for 6 nights I said to management we were leaving and was told "its about time and that I should be out working and that if I was her child I would have been bent over her knee and spanked" because I stopped a fight in the carpark. Very very rude management with no customer service skills.

Average. No phone, not much of anything. Plenty of better options available for the price.

Wasnt very clean room & some of the top rooms above the office have no windows

Not very modern and not worth the cost they charged for the room only stayed coz last minute choice and no other hotel had vacancy ... otherwise wouldnt have stayed there at all .... a positive : the people that work there were nice cleaners were the nicest people there....

It is easy going place to stay and the owners and the staff are friendly people
