Cute little stop. Only needed about 15 mins to climb up in the rocking horse and have a quick look around the store.Wouldnt go out of my way, but if you enjoy quirky stops and are in the area, then definitely stop by!

Well worth a look at the rocking horse and the shop is great for kids. Peacocks were in full colour at the wildlife reserve and the goats, alpacas, ducks, emu and Roos were friendly.

Great place for tourists to stop, stretch their legs and see some wildlife. You can also purchase a souvenir to take home. They make lovely wooden toys. Entry to the park is very cheap and this makes for an affordable day out with the family. You can also feed the animals and climb the rocking horse.

Very disappointed as the animals are very aggressive. Perhaps the farm animals are underfed, as I am sorry to say, an alpaca ate my jimmy, my Chihuahua. It was a very distressing sight for my children. Please do not keep carnivorous farm animals at a popular childrens destination. Maybe next time it will not just be a dog that is eaten.

Its a lovely place. You can see animals and feed them. Unfortunately, there arent many kinds of animals to see or feed. There are also playgrounds and if course the rocking horse.

It is one of the most loved places I have visited in Adelaide. Nice and friendly staff and great food. Moreover, you will be surprised to see lots of native animals, which is a huge bonus. I strongly recommend visiting this place.

Great place for all ages. The animal park was a huge hit with my nephews, so too the big rocking horse. The fact that the entry fee to the animal reserve was only $2 per person and to climb the Rocking Horse was also $2 per person made it a very affordable and enjoyable day. The cafe was amazing too with a lovely selection of food on offer and with a great team of wait people bringing food to our table plus clearing up too. Well done to everyone.

Reasoning for the 3 stars is because the food was awful nothing to brag about! Expensive and absolutely flavourless. The animals were absolutely beautiful. It was a very good enviroment. I would come back for the lovely experience my family and I had.

This is a great family day trip. The kids enjoyed climbing to the top of the rocking house. The animals in the park were well fed by the time we went through . Which was probably a good thing as they didnt hassle for food. The Cafe food was OK but next visit Id probably skip it and try somewhere in town

Didnt spent much time there because it was a very cold day. My partner just climbed the big horse and took some photos. Its okay, but the dangerous winding road to get there is a put off. Not worth the stress.Reply to operators response:1. Its not a bad review, its a neutral review.2. Yes you are in a location where its dangerous to drive to

Nice few hours out😁. Lovely little animal park to wander round and feed the ducks, birds, roos etc. Kids loved the toy shop. In fact we all did. The truck wine rack was definitely my favourite. Will be back to purchase one. 🀣Food was lovely and nice little area to sit and kids play and a small play park for bigger kids.Very reasonably priced for the animal park and to climb the horse. Very scary at the top and not much room so didnt spend too long up there 🀣🀣Over all, a lovely trip out and kids all happy with their new toys. Just a She we couldnt see the ppl working and making toys but we did go on a Sunday.

This is a must for anyone and everyone. Ive been visiting for the last 40 years! First time visit on a school trip, I now take everyone here, the kids and visiting interstaters. There is a.small wildlife park the is $2 per person entry and you can buy food and feed the many kangaroos, ducks, alpacas sheep goats etc. The wooden toy shop is full of high quality toys and gagets. There is a cafe to have lunch or you can take your own. The rocking horse, its amazing! You can climb to the top or stop in the middle. The stairs are a little steep but worth the climb!

Very cheap day out for young families!!Only $2 entry per person to enter the animal enclosure and $2 per bag of food, but just be aware, some of the alpacas and goats can be pretty aggressive in getting their food, especially around little ones, so make sure you have an adult nearby the kids at all times. The cafe was great and reasonably priced, staff were friendly and the amenities were clean and well kept.A great playground for both toddlers and slightly older kids, and plenty of tables around for family gatherings / picnics. The Little Tikes cars were a big hit with my daughter as well.Climbing the Rocking Horse was safe and even my 5 year old daughter was able to climb right to the top with me following directly behind. Once you complete the climb, you can take your ticket stub back to the world class Toy Shop to receive a certificate verifying youve climbed. A great keepsake!!We had a ball! Overall, a great day that doesnt sting the hip pocket!!

Quite a nice little place to take your family out & about. $2 dollars to enter into the gaint rocking horse, there are many ladders to advance up, and elevate down. So make sure to wear the right shoes, clean cafe, and even a tourist house to buy souvenirs.

It was great to revisit the rocking horse after many years. I loved that you could once again climb to the very top, it really does make a difference. We also had breakfast in the Cafe and the food was excellent as was the service provided by the very friendly staff. We were able to purchase some keepsakes in the gift shop and say hello to some of the octal wildlife. I would definitely recommend this as a MUST visit stop when exploring the Adelaide Hills.

It was so cool to see the largest rocking horse. The entry fee for the two of us (adultswas $10 which included the petting zoo, animal food and climbing the horse. The climb up the horse was great, you have to climb up ladders to get up there. There is also a shop there where you can purchase toys etc. and the petting zoo is so cute, the kangaroos are very friendly. Its a must do!β€œJonique Life” If you find value in our reviews please consider following our social media outlets on Facebook and Instagram as we highlight magical places you can add to your ever growing bucket list.

What a wonderful few hours spent at the Big Rocking Horse. Nominal fees to climb up the Worlds Biggest Rocking Horse and to enter the petting zoo. Beautiful fauna and flora small little walk with the kiddos. We also had lunch at the cafe and enjoyed it. Kids finished mostly everything. The Toy Factory has really nice wooden stuff and naturally made items. Superb to pick birthday party favour or just something quirky for your home.

Worth spending some quality time with kids. You can visit and see many animals and birds in the park like peacocks, emo’s ducks etc. Specially good for toddlers to experience few animals so close to them as they feed & touch them... Animals are very friendly. As like many reviews, entry to park is $2/person and same goes for climbing at the big rocking horse.Cafe is good. Food was tasty which is not overpriced at all. Have few toys (outside the cafeand inside too at one corner for kids to enjoy while you have your meal.

It is a cheap close encounter with some wildlife including kangaroo, wallaby, alpaca, peacock. However, the turtle dam was completely empty no turtles in sight. A lot of animals hiding or missing and it was toward the end of the day so a lot of them were not up for petting or performing their advertised tricks (talkative birds not talking etc). The horse is quite underwhelming for a party of 2 adults and costs a small fee to climb - kids might enjoy it though. Wildlife park is worth the entry fee even if we only saw a few animals.

This was a great stop! I would highly recommend heading here for a stop with or without kids.I attended here with a group of friends and we had a great time climbing the rocking horse, feeding the animals in the park and shopping in the store. The only negative is that the staff look like they hate being there. Not very friendly.

Wonderful visit for kids, if they are scared of heights and ladders should stay away from climbing the horse. There is a decent restaurant as well where you can grab a bite to eat and a toy factory to empty your pockets.

A great little gem in the Adelaide Hills. Super budget friendly - costs nothing to stop and take a photo with the Giant Rocking Horse or on the little rocking horse, or explore the toy shop which has a viewing window out to the workshop. Entry to the little wildlife space is only $2. Cafe and toilets available, though note that the cafe closes a bit earlier than the park. Only comment I would make is it would be nice to see a Staff Member or Volunteer patrolling the wildlife area just to keep an eye on things/ stop people being silly - there were signs with a number you could call if you noticed bad behaviour but personally I felt a physical presence would help, even if only an occasional walk through. We visited on a Public Holiday.

Visited this place with a close friend and his 3 year old daughter a few weeks ago. The place is extremely family friendly and definitely a great place to take the kids out for the day. There is a large cafe that resembles a staff canteen/cafeteria which we visited to buy some bottled mineral water. The entrance fee of $1 per adult is absolutely brilliant with the kids getting a free entry. For a $1 fee you can buy a small bag of feed for the animals that are kept on the premises. My friends little girl had a great time feeding all the different animals. A note of caution about feeding the animals : theres one billy goat thats a bit too greedy, so if you let your guard down or let your kid hold the bag with the treats... that billy goat will be off and away with that bag πŸ˜‚The toy store is quite large and unfortunately, I didnt get to spend much time in there.Outside food/treats for the animals is NOT allowed...All in all, a wonderful experience not far away from the city for a family with young kids wanting to enjoy a day out without breaking the bank...πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
