Westminster, London SW1A 0AA, Kusti
16-storey Gothic clocktower and national symbol at the Eastern end of the Houses of Parliament.
Big Ben closed but lovely to see it cleaned, from the outside. Now all they need to do is to clean up Parliament next door! And urgently!
Majestic, huge, historic and elegant at the same time. A beautifully-looking building. Unfortunately its still closed, but just by looking at it, taking photos from every angle possible is so much fun. If you are visiting London, its a must-see attraction.
If you get off the Tube at the Westminster station you’ll walk up the stairs and Big Ben will loom before you in all its glory. We were in awe of the size and beauty. The bell was not chiming two days ago, even so, it’s a sight to behold.
Big Ben or Clock Tower,Ive seen it in movies, weve all seen this building at some point, but now I had the opportunity to see Big Ben with my own eyes!Im so in love with this place! The highlight is definitely the famous watch, the fact that it is in the center of attention near Westminster Abbey, London Eye, Trafalgar Square and Sea Life, the Gothic Style Architecture,it is a must see it at least once in a lifetime!Definitely the most beautiful view is from the height point of London Eye!FANTASTIC!
Iconic and historic. It’s fun to walk along the Thames and see the tower come in to view. It’s photogenic from all angles.
Big Ben is the nickname for the Great Bell of the striking clock at the north end of the Palace of Westminster in London, England,[1] although the name is frequently extended to refer also to the clock and the clock tower.[2] The official name of the tower in which Big Ben is located was originally the Clock Tower, but it was renamed Elizabeth Tower in 2012, to mark the Diamond Jubilee of Elizabeth II.

Big Ben!Well the name of the toilet is Elizabeth tower, the name of the clock inside is called Big Ben. Of course it’s one of the most known building/tower in London and worldwide. It was covered and work was in progress for the last couple of years but now it’s open and shiny. The new look with the blue colour inside the clock makes it look amazing.A must photo stop in London, always crowded form the front side. I suggest to get the view from the back. Please see the pictures to understand.Absolutely in love with this tower.
This big beautiful recently-made-over clock is a must a see when you’re in London Town! The new blue paint really brings out the golden hue around the clock face. I’d definitely recommend visiting and snapping some cool pics.
Was an emotional time to be visiting London again, during the Period of National Mourning for Her Majesty. But I missed seeing Big Ben (he was under wraps in 2018/19 when I last visited!so I’m glad I took in the scene last week near Westminster. So poignant and beautiful.
One of the most famous landmarks in London! Sadly it was closed for visitors during my visit, but nevertheless its amazing to just take photos with it!Noone should miss it on their visit to London :)
Been learning about it in high school in Ukraine. Since then was my dream to visit it. Finally did it and fell in love with 😍 London and all the sight seeing 😊
Who doesnt love Big Ben. Its so nice to see the tower without the scaffolding which had been in place whilst vital restorative works were undertaken. Now back to proudly standing overlooking London. Its a joy to see.
Amazing tourist spot! You could not leave London without visiting the Big Ben and the London Eye that is behind. Depending on the day, it is crowded but it is worthwhile! If you have time, visit the area in the evening… the lights are amazing! Perfect to stroll down and take a picture with a remarkable place!
What a classic structure made during 1860s.View from London eye is also worth viewing. There are many other tourist attractions near this place, which is definitely gonna take your day, and still you may want to come here again.Amazing tourist attraction in London. Vibes are great here 😁You can easily reach here through train.Westminster or Embankment is the nearest station.
Obviously one of the things that you see when you visit London. Consider walking across the Waterloo bridge to get good pictures. From Parliament Square you can get some funny pictures, like holding up Big Ben, touching the to, swishing it, etc. There are some red phone booths on one side of Parliament Square that let you have Big Ben in the background.
An amazing place to visit if youre a tourist. Conveniently located by the Westminister Underground Station. Big Ben clock tower is an architectural marvel. If youre ever in the area, be sure to take a look at this top-of-the-line tower in the daylight and night! Highly recommended!
A truly amazing experience! This place has a deep variety of outlook. I appreciate Big Ben ! I also enjoy Benny Hill a lot, i think he is a bit crazy sometimes, i remember an episode of that show that was shot jus here around. Amazing feeling :)
Interesting and very unique architecture. It gives nice touch to the Londons skyline. I have lot of respect for those building architectures for building such a great building back in those days.
Its gorgeous! Must visit when in London as a tourist. We marveled over the architecture and design for quite some time and with not as much crowd in the area which was definitely a plus.
Chill vibes if you’re far enough from the main bridge. Be aware though. There are pick pocketers as well as people trying to hand you roses just to scam you for money. Pretty aggressive too. Just walk away like Usain Bolt. Otherwise, very chill vibes and great scenery
Iconic and historic. It’s fun to walk along the Thames and see the tower come in to view. It’s photogenic from all angles.
Get down at the Westminster underground station and you will exit directly in front of the great Big Ben. The most spectacular sight which is unforgettable and a signature monument of london. The walk along the Parliament square is within a mile of the Big Ben and great view also from the Westminster Abbey. Accessible by underground train as well as the bus.
big ben is a very photogenic place and it has a spacious empty field beside it that I unfortunately didn’t capture😞. But if you want to have fun and enjoy a picnic with your friends you can do so but don’t litter please🫡.
Time is the most valuable thing you can spend so spend it wisely doing things you love with the people you love. There is no better city to spend time in better than London and when you’re here you have to make time to see Big Ben. The actual name of Big Ben is Elizabeth Tower and it is a clock on the north end of Palace of Westminster in London. Big Ben is a cultural landmark of London and something you must see in person. It doesn’t cost anything, just make time in your schedule to see it! You’ll be glad you did!
Lovely place. The bigben is one of the most precious and fabulous buildings of lonon. After the renovation, the big ben look even better than before! (Photos taken while being in the London Eye)
Dream place. Big Ben is one of the finest architecture of world. Place is usually very crowded, but now it is temporarily closed.
A historical places too much visitors of all nations with different dresses.Very peaceful and hot atmosphere near to river Thames. We take rest under the trees and children enjoying in play in playing area. You must take your drinks and some food with you when visit to big ban and London eye.
The whole area from Westminster Abbey, through Big Ben and to London Eye is a great and fun area, it could be extremely crowded. But the amount of things to do there are endless, from street performers to food trucks and the rest of the attractions all around. This place is full of life
Big Ben itself we did not go inside. Im not sure if we even can. However, we explored the local area. It was all very clean and some really good views of the river etc..I suppose rhe weather being 30 degrees helped us enjoy it too as the sun bounced off the gold on the clock itself.
Iconic clock tower in London. The renovation is almost completed. The wind is always strong, I suggest you to visit earlier in the morning. The river is brown. There is a (not sosecret location under the bridge.
The Big Ben is a beautiful piece of architecture that is envied all around the world and for good reason. The spectacle that it creates at nighttime for me is something that it can only offer. For me is the focal point of London, the first place that I would go visit when I arrive there and the last place that I will say goodbye too. Welcome back Big Ben.Fun Fact: it is the actual Bell inside that is called Big Ben and not the tower.
Look. Its an amazing building and an architectural beauty. Non the less its not that special in my opinion. But it looks amazing. But there is more to see then the big ben in London in my opinion. 4 stars
Amazing place for architecture and history lovers. You totally lose yourself when you get to this area. Usually it’s pretty crowded here which leads to a nice vibe! If you are a tourist in London, I strongly recommend visiting Big Ben!
I visited London many times in 2008-2009 and took many pictures at night during this time, especially during Christmas time of 2008. Enjoy!
One of beautiful iconic places in London at Westminster, but it’s closed due to renovation, but outside view is amazing.
Lovely place. A great tourist place. Always big crowds. However, it is worth coming here. The Big Ben building is an extraordinary architectural craftsmanship. Today, after renovation, it looks like new. I highly recommend visiting this place in London.
A London land mark and iconic structure craftsmanship at its best. Nice to see the scaffolding coming down after the £80m make over. Unfortunately today 8th April scaffolding hit the building whilst been removed. Hopefully not too much damage.
The big reconstruction which was happening for more than 2 years is finally coming to an end and now the area look so beautiful. Very close to the Southbank (London eye, Aquarium etc). So beautiful.
Although its still closed the renovation is nearly finished and it looked stunning in the Spring sunshine. The clean up has really made a difference.
Looks like Big Ben is still under renovations however he is revealing his new shiny face! Some of the scaffolding covering his face has been taken down revealing his shiny gold face! We did notice that the time was wrong and wasnt moving when we went though but he is gorgeous!
Follow the history stream of British, you will be amazed by its rich and magnificent story.Every historical site has so much cultural richness behind..
Even clad in scaffolding this iconic British building is instantly recognised all the world over.No surprise really that the nickname of Big Ben for the Great Bell of the striking clock is extended to refer to the clock and the clock tower by most people. The official name of the tower in which Big Ben is located was originally the Clock Tower, but it was renamed Elizabeth Tower in honour of Queen Elizabeth II.Definitely a place to linger and get your perfect picture.
Big Ben is one of the sight seeing attractions of London. This is located near the "Westminster Abbey" and this place is also the nearest bus stop to reach to Big Ben. The Big Ben is a tall Golden coloured tower having clock on it. This place offers a bumper offer to those who are crazy about clicking pictures especially to those who need London vibes.
If you plan to visit UK, it is a must obviously, amazing place and the restoration is finally about to be over, so all 4 clocks will display the right time. From here you have access to plenty other historical and interesting places such as WESTMINSTER ABBEY, Jewel tower, palace and bridge of WESTMINSTER. If you like walking youll easily arrive to different bridges like Vauxhall, Golden jubilee, Waterloo, Lambeth, etc. London eye its a must do (i recommend it in the afternoon), Go to WESTMINSTER pier for a thames boat ride and Also Trafalgar square is really close and so much more its a couple of minutes walking. Dont forget to get the most iconic picture from across the big ben next to the red phone boot. I did it as well. Finally dont forget to wear comfy shoes, an umbrella always comes in handy and dress properly for the lovely London weather. Hope your trip here turns out to be as amazing and life changing as mine.
Historic clock tower in London! Been in renovations for a long long time... but I think its finally open soon! Great iconic view of London.
A trip to London is not complete if you do not see BIG BEN.Big Ben is the nickname for the Great Bell of the striking clock at the north end of the Palace of Westminster in London, EnglandThe bell weighs a staggering 15.1 tons and to hear Big Ben strike midnight is beyond incredible!
Iconic structure is getting open slowly after lots of renovation work. It is not fully uncovered. If you are in London then you should visit this clock tower. It looks more beautiful from the top of London eye. It is just beside of Westminster so you can click your selfy from Westminster Bridge.
Big Ben is the nickname for the Great Bell, which is famous for its accuracy and for its massive bell. Its definitely one of the must-visit landmarks in London for all tourists. We were so excited to wait for the bell of the clock. For every tourist’s reference: It chimes every hour, and smaller bells around it chime every 15 minutes to mark each quarter-hour.However, its under construction currently, so our photos look not so great and the construction is expected to be completed in its entirety in 2022.
This is one of the most iconic places in London, and definitely one you should visit. At the time of our visit, it was fortunately not under construction, but I am told it is now. Beautiful tower, so bring your camera with you!
